The New Vision Board

Today, my daughter and I installed our vision board at this new apartment. It was tiring and fun at the same time. We had to start from scratch as the old vision board had been washed out during Sendong.

I think I am going to include the currency above and all I have to do is print the image above. Well, it's better than nothing, and i nothing is not a good idea for the vision board.

A friend of mine introduced me to a swimmer cum pool expert and I didn't quite understand his explanation about the very design of his pool. I also didn't quite get what accessory goes where, like that t-cell-15 that he mentioned. Gosh.. All I know is that, having my body submerged into the pool has a cooling effect. Too cool that now I am suffering from colds, lol.

Anyway, better than humidity at worst. I still appreciate how the pool looks, an that, it's for private visits only. So yeah, I feel flattered as well.

After quite a while, counting the days paid off. I just received my sunglasses courtesy of Firmoo Glasses. I must tell you that they look amazing on any type of face-shape. They will hug the face like magic.

Tried on each sunglasses and I feel really great wearing them. Now I have a color to which I can match my sunglasses with my clothing.. What I really love about them is that they will really protect the eyes from bright light and unwanted debris to enter. My father said anyone would look glamorous in any of them.. I believe so too. I think, even if one is into any form of sports activity, he or she will look cool while at play..

The Oro Bankers have just finished with their fun run in this city. Then there was the SM Employees Fun Run. Recently, another fun run has been brewed, and this time, it's for the band members of every organization and school. Even alumni band members are welcome. Now, unlike all other fun runs, I am sure you will be imagining participants to cook up some attire or costume. Nah.. They just have to bring their band instruments, and play them as they run. I think that is the reason why there were many people at the Steel Drums guitar center, where everyone tried to get a bargain for half the price.

Then it had me thinking. What about the band majorettes, don't they make up as band members too? Oh boy, some people will be singing at the roadside for that.

CDO Bloggers will once again go to Besigan in June or July of this year for the annual outreach and feeding program at Cadayunan Primary School, a school we have adopted to help since December of last year. This year, we are hoping for more donations in terms of books, notebooks, pencils and all other school supplies that they may be able to use.

It had been a crazy week. First, there was the controversial appearance and concerts of Lady Gaga in MOA. Then the said walk out of CJ Corona, after he was presented and made his speech at the senate hearing, then of course, the American Idol results where Jessica Sanchez lost the title to Philip Philips. And finally, ending the week with CJ Corona, after being reported to have been at the ICU for what was supposed to be a diabetes related emergency leading to a probable heart attack ---dubbed as the "walk out of the season" days ago, was back at the stand during today's continuation of the senate's hearing on CJ Corona's Impeachment. I could imagine plastic stanchions and chains around my country, as if it was a small showcase and display at a mall.

While other people call it publicity--- being in the news and all, I call it, a pitch for a promising future. Yeah, yeah, call me crazy. But see, after hearing CJ Corona's defense and his answers to questions, all I could think of is how good he is at answering every question. Well, he wouldn't be Chief Justice if he is not brilliant as he is. But if you ask me if I believe every word he said, all I can say is that until he is proven guilty under the courts of law, only then shall I consider him to be guilty. Jessica Sanchez may not have won, but until Philip Philips album will surpass that of Jessica's in the future, then I shall not give up believing in her greatness as an artist. Of course, I was happy that the Coronas and The Basas had their family reconciliation during recess at the senate today, and no mention of China's claim of the shoal in the news.. I think the nation need to move forward...

It seems that there had been a lot of fun runs overflowing in the city. Perhaps it is hyped and well, has become the trend these days. I wonder why there isn't any motocross competitions anymore. Has motocross lost its appeal to the masses? Anyway, I have a friend in college who prepares months before every motocross competition. From choosing the right gear, to preparing his motorcycle. I bet his helmet is even more expensive as it has to be comfortable at the same time, provide good protection from head injuries. Much like the KBC VR4R that I often read about.

I know the stunts are highly nerve rocking, and even more scary when professionals do some somersaults in mid-air, on their motorcycles. I kinda wish to see that, as I have only seen stunts like that on television. I know other cities around the country still do motocross, and it appeals so much to add to their city's tourist must-see events and activities. Also, even foreigners join in the fun, as professionals join the motocross events.

Maybe no organizer in the city is bold enough to organize a motocross event simply because it's extremely dangerous... Well, we can always see that some place else...

Cagayan de Oro City's running enthusiasts will love this new information posted here. I know there had been many fun runs that passed, and more and more are on their way of being enjoyed... If you have nothing to do this summer, this may be a good idea for you too...

Here's another fun run in Cagayan de Oro that you should not miss. Better start personalized clocks online as the date comes near... It features a NEW ROUTE- from Divisoria Kiosk to J.R.Borja to Cogon Market to the full length of J.R.Borja Extn to national highway and back, and ROUTE for 16K runners will include a 1.5K uphill climb in Fil-Estate.

I guess you could say that I am always behind in a few things, and that includes the knowledge that a DeMolay brother, the younger brother of my close friend and brother while I was still working at BI, is an Azkal.. OMG OMG OMG..

Who cares about the Younghusbands if you know someone who is proudly from Mindanao!!! Don't get me wrong. I know the Younghusbands are good players and all, but Kim Relucio is one hell of a player too. Perhaps not so much publicity as he is not attached with any actress. But hey, I tell you, that dude is good..

My friend David has this really unusual hobby of collecting musical instruments, whether he would play them or not, he would collect them. He would also collect accessories and even concert paraphernalia, from Shure microphones to Boss pedals. Now, it isn't really a bad thing, his collections are superb. What I just do not understand is why he keeps them unsused for years. It would have been good if he allowed people to use them or rent them out so he could earn from them. But NO! They are simply stored in a room he calls "Musically Yours".

Oh well, it's his passion, bought from his own money, which he earned from his job, so we need not complain, really.

Today we went to Masao, the spot where the first mass was held on March 31, 1521, an Easter Sunday. Magellan ordered a mass to be celebrated which was officiated by Friar Pedro Valderama, the Andalusion chaplain of the fleet, the only priest that time. It was conducted near the shores of the island, and the Holy First Mass marked the birth of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines..

Above photo is a shrine that stands on the shores of Masao Beach.. Mazaua is the historical name for this place.

Been eating pork since Black Saturday, and I think I need some diet pills. Hahahaha.. Seriously, after eating meat since Black Saturday, I have been craving for more meat. So yesterday, I personally broiled the pork belly my aunt bought.

It took awhile for me to finish, but it was all worth it..Actually, it was the making of the fire that took longer.. But the cooking process was just easy--- and fast. In no time, we enjoyed our broilled pork belly..

Had to slice them into bite portions to really enjoy the food trip.. And of course, after that, it had me thinking to look for diet supplements, like appexit (click to read more about appexit) which according to the article I read, truly works.. Now, I wonder...

I just read about North Face Clothing and how good they are. Reading the article reminds me of how much my brother wanted us to save his North Face Jacket and Pants that he uses whenever he rides his motorcycle. It is after all, very comfortable for the user. And because it does not come cheap, naturally, after TS Sendong washed everything inside our house in Balulang, my brother asked us to save his North Face garments. On the contrary, we threw away everything else that requires too much energy to wash. It wasn't easy washing muddied clothing after the typhoon. We saved what we found valuable and some really expensive jeans...

Anyway, they looked okay after the wash, had them soak in disenfectant solution and washed them again, and again before they were ever used again.

We visited The Divine Mercy Shrine on Black Saturday. The trek towards the shrine would have been tough, if we walked all the way from below, but we had a vehicle that took us nearer, so it was not much of a penitence, as how some people would call it.

It was too hot, even when we got there early. Not so many people at that time, but when we started to leave, people came, and the number just keeps adding up.

Playing yoyo is a very challenging skill as well as an art. This summer, I am sure kids will be crazy over them too. I found this video online and when my little brother saw the video demo, he asked me if we could buy a yoyo like that in the video for him to try to do the said tricks.

Unfortunately for me, I do not know where to buy a duncan mosquito for my little bro. So now, I am looking at websites selling them and trying to see whether I can order and have them shipped before May could even start. Usually when I buy something online, it takes two to three months to get delivered.

My friend had been running for four years now, and we all have seen the changes in his body as well as his lifestyle. He eats only small portions of all food groups in a meal. Plus he runs a couple of rounds in the morning and another round in the afternoons. He also has avoided vices and all others from his old life. Swisher Sweets is one of the smokes he is also cutting down. Chocolates are now limited to dark chocolates and no soft drinks and cola.

Every time there is a fun run, he joins. Every time there is a contest which is somehow physically challenging, he joins. I guess he had been prepared since he started his program. And people are raving for the results, including me.. Way to go Ralph...

A lot of kids may go on a vacation this summer, while others would stay home for some special skills training or to study some advanced course in writing or taking some lessons in theater or acting. Others would enroll themselves and their children to cooking or baking classes and learn how to make yummy pastries and cakes so they can indulge on home baked goodies rather than buying decorated cookies at Shari's Berries.

While others will be busy tasting their home made delights, others shall be busy joining fun runs and losing pounds. So what should you do for the summer? It doesn't really matter what you do, what matters is that you enjoy and learn while having fun..

My daughter and baby brother did great with their grade 1 level, and ended up with a gold and bronze respectively. So it is all worth celebrating their success.. My sister and I wanted to have a drinking spree, but we changed our minds. We still had lots unfinished tasks and drinking our happiness would not be a great idea..

But still we are happy, and that's all that matters really. Maybe during the weekend...

I didn't get any grand gifts yesterday, but I got tons of greetings from so many people. I even got an advanced send off of a really cutesy easter gift basket, and a bottle of wine for Christmas, but not any birthday gift, lol..

Seriously, it doesn't matter really because I got tons of greetings since Sunday last week. And I feel happy not only with the greetings and well wishes, but also because I have chosen to be so. There are some people who have not greeted me, who I have expected to greet me, but for some reason or another, failed to do so. I do not mind that, I do not mind at all. And I do not feel bad about that because I know and I have seen the number of well wishers and they're definitely huge. So this birthday girl is truly thankful, happy and blessed..
