PRODUCT

CMI QUICKSET 300 is a mortar plasticizing accelerator admixture for use in concrete / mortar mixes. When added, it accelerates cement hydration with improved workability resulting in shortened setting time and increased early strength.

It provides the following advantages when used :

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

CMI CPA 320 is a wood-based resin plasticizer for cement mixes that conforms to BS4887. It helps to improve water-retention, workability, and compressive strength and reduces water to cement ratio by 10 to 15 %.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The substrate for application must be clean & sound, free from dirt, grease, oil, dust and loose particles. Concrete surfaces should be mechanically scarified or scabbed. Keep surface dampened with water for a minimum of 30 minutes prior to application, stir or shake container well before use.

For use as a neat primer, concrete overlay bonding coat, slurry bonding coat and as an admixture for mortar renders, screeds, patching repair work, damp resistant layer ( as an admixture, dilute by approx. 1 : 2 water).

Mix thoroughly, either manually or with an electric mixer until a slump free mortar adhesive is obtained for tiling use. As a bonding primer, use neat or 1 part latex to 1 part OPC / cement adhesive. As a general purpose admixture, use 1 part latex to 2 parts water and add in cement tile adhesive or cement / sand.

Allow mixture to stand for 10 minutes before mixing again. For fixing of exterior tiles, CMI MORTAR ADMIX 380 is recommended to replace water. Spread mixture with a notched – trowel onto substrates or by buttering backface of tile. For heavier tiles or tiles with high grooves or ridges, combination of both is recommended. Do not spread adhesive more than 1 m.sq. at a time and ensure that tiles should be fixed immediately or within 10 minutes. The tiles should be firmly pressed onto sub—base and immediately knocked into position. In case of long delay, remove the existing adhesive and comb out a fresh layer. Ensure that backface of the tile is in good contact with the adhesive for best results.

Important : Tiles must not be soaked in water.

CMI MULTIFIX 188 is a high quality polymer modified water-resistant cement-based adhesive for use as a key coat (spatter dash) for plastering on smooth concrete surfaces and for use in laying ALC blocks and fixing of ceramic floor & wall tiles. It is suitable for interior and exterior use in thin or medium bed applications ( 3 mm to 6 mm).

(i ) Ceramic Tiles

Spread mixture with a notched — trowel onto substrates or by buttering backface of tile. For heavier tiles or tiles with high grooves or ridges, combination of both is recommended. Do not spread adhesive more than 1 m.sq. at a time and ensure that tiles should be fixed immediately or within 10 minutes. The tiles should be firmly pressed onto sub-base and immediately knocked into position. In case of long delay, remove the existing adhesive and comb out a fresh layer. Ensure that backface of the tile is in good contact with the adhesive for best results.

(ii ) Keycoat

Spread mixture with a notched — tooth trowel onto substrate. Ensure that the whole wall substrate is covered and coarse as this is required to act as a mechanical grip for plastering work.

(iii ) ALC Block walls

Apply mixture onto blockjoints with a notched ladle to a thickness of between 3 — 5 mm. Work the adhesive to ensure contact with the block surface (vertical and horizontal ) is achieved. Use a rubber hammer to tap and adjust the blocks firmly on the adhesive bed to ensure proper bond and alignment is achieved. For better results, the blocks should be laid immediately when the adhesive is applied onto the existing block. Allow adhesive bed to set for 24 hours.

Important : Tiles must not be soaked in water.
