The timelapse of Atlanta’s skyline was taken over the course of a few weeks. Definitely rough around the edges, but was able to iron out some kinks before embarking on a much more ambitious timelapse project.

Rukket | Commercial Product Photography:

Over the last few months, I’ve been working with Rukket to get photos of their golf training products ready for the website and promotional materials. Rukket is one of the newest players on the golf practice products scene, making a strong impression at the PGA Merchandise Show this month.

One of their big marketing messages is the highly portable, “play anywhere” nature of the products, so it made sense to head over to Atlanta’s Piedmont park in order to get some casual pictures of one of the owners using their golf practice net, the RukkNet, at sunset.

For the studio shots, we headed over to Studio Space ATL and used their white-seamless studio spaces. The staff was extremely helpful and the Alien Bees lighting gear was phenomenal.

Atlanta WordCamp 2012:

WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg made a surprise appearance at Atlanta WordCamp 2012.  Matt touched on the current state of WordPress (running 16% of the web) and answered questions from Wordcamp attendees.

Atlanta WordCamp was a truly wonderful experience.  Thanks to Judi Knight at New Tricks and Russel Fair for putting together a truly special event for the WordPress community in Atlanta.

I’ll be posting some best practices, tips, and lists from WordPress speakers over the next few days.
