If you have upgraded chrome in Linux and its not opening here is what you have to do to fix it. the error if you try opening it in the terminal will be ERROR:sandbox_linux.cc(379)] InitializeSandbox() called with multiple threads in process gpu-process. well, just go to /home/$USER/.cache/ and delete the folder google-chrome.
