<p><strong><em>Project manager </em></strong><br />

<p><em>Salary: 39,000 – 52,000 Euros per year, dependent upon experience</em></p>
<p>The Project manager is responsible for the project planning, and day to day project management operational activities for the IB projects globally across all divisions/departments in order to meet the goals of the IB strategic plan. You will apply your extensive project management experience and skills to ensure that all project deliverables, budgetary structures, timelines and reporting requirements are adhered to in accordance with project sponsor expectations and IB PMO guidelines.</p>
<p>Throughout the project lifecycle you will be the key driver, critical to the success of the project, leading the project team and managing project resources. You will be actively engaged with all staff and business suppliers and all other relevant stakeholders throughout the organisation. In addition to your excellent project management skills, you will be highly proficient in stakeholder management (including 3rd party vendor/supplier management) and risk analysis and management, and be experienced managing dispersed teams on a global basis, comprised of different cultures, nationalities and languages.</p>
<p>You will have excellent communication, interpersonal, documentation and problem-solving skills. This post is suitable for an individual who has experience working within an international context as a project manager with proven track record of successful delivery of complex projects to the business.</p>
<p><strong>Main requirements</strong><br />
• Educated to degree level;<br />
• At least 5 years proven management level experience in an international organization;<br />
• Experience of managing time sensitive projects;<br />
• Strong people management;<br />
• Ability to communicate with people of all different levels and from different cultures;<br />
• Proven experience as a project manager in project management of education or not-for-profit type projects;<br />
• Strong stakeholder management; ability to pull together stakeholders, internal and external teams to ensure time frames are met;<br />
• Delivery focused and able to drive internal and external suppliers to reach end goals;<br />
• Highly risk aware, able to pre-empt any problems and mitigate potential threats or hurdles;<br />
• Ideally experienced in working in an Education environment.</p>
<p><strong>Personal qualities</strong><br />
• Excellent interpersonal skills, e.g. ability to work well with others, mediate conflict, develop professional relationships with stakeholders, and build consensus;<br />
• Solid time-management skills.</p>
<p>Able to travel or work alternative hours (e.g. late night conference calls), because of the global centres in Singapore and Bethesda.</p>

<p>• Organize all aspects of AIG employee volunteer programs in Corporate Office and partner with volunteer leaders in other locations and business units</p>
<p>• Develop strategies, processes, guidelines, and programs to encourage and support employee involvement in the charitable sector</p>
<p>• Liaise with AIG Matching Grants Program vendor, respond to employee inquiries, develop appropriate materials to promote the program</p>
<p>• Review matching grants activity and provide a quarterly summary of activities</p>
<p>• Inspire employees to lead volunteer events and provide back-up organizational and administrative support as needed</p>

<p><strong>Director Financial Inclusion Policy (m/f) Alliance for Financial Inclusion</strong></p>
<p>In September 2008, GIZ established the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) with funding from the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation. AFI is the first global knowledge-sharing network that supports member countries to share knowledge and experience and identify and implement proven and successful policy solutions that have delivered tangible results. AFI supports its members by using a peer-to-peer learning approach, facilitating online and face-to-face exchanges, regionally and globally, supported by grants and policy research. Within three years, AFI attracted a diverse membership base that is now 86 institutions strong. AFI has also cultivated relationships with external partners and developed a voice on the global stage, evidenced most notably by its G20 relationship and input to global standard setting bodies. In 2012 and 2013, AFI will further enhance its services to the members, deepen the network activities, explore ways to further promote innovative policy solutions for financial inclusion, and strengthen its positioning in the global financial inclusion policy arena.</p>
<h3>Your tasks</h3>

<p>The Director Financial Inclusion Policy (FIP) will lead the FIP Unit and report to the Executive Director (ED). He/she will lead AFI’s efforts to become a content based platform that drives financial inclusion policy changes in member countries. In addition, he/she will actively support the strategic vision of AFI and, represent the organization in international forums, and ensure the functionality of internal work flows. He/she will interface with the Strategy and Network Team, the Communications Team, Finance Function, and the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.</p>
<p>His/her responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p>
<p>• Lead, coach and develop team members of FIP Unit and coordinate the team’s work program<br />
• Provide strategic guidance and develop and monitor performance targets for the FIP Unit<br />
• Manage and update AFI’s learning agenda<br />
• Maintain a strategic oversight of AFI’s grants portfolio and assume responsibility for managing the grants portfolio including short-term, long-term, and knowledge exchange grants<br />
• Provide overall guidance for policy-related engagement strategies with specific countries or regions<br />
• Oversee and strategically guide the activities and outputs of AFI Working Groups<br />
• Monitor and assess financial inclusion policy trends<br />
• Encourage peer learning and exchange activities among AFI members<br />
• Ensure that core business processes, necessary infrastructure, personnel or other resources are in place and working effectively<br />
• Set up and maintain a system for the production of member-led knowledge products and effective external knowledge management<br />
• Oversee the generation of briefs and provide policy contents, specific comments/inputs to various outputs and working documents on financial inclusion arising from the initiatives, processes and stakeholders that AFI is working with<br />
• In addition to above focus tasks, deliver on relevant AFI project team responsibilities, for example the internal knowledge sharing of policy learnings, support the organization of the Global Policy Forum, participate in AFI task teams etc.<br />
• Oversee the content from FIP to the web-portal, and presentations based on the most recent policy trends, on-going policy reforms and discussions<br />
• Facilitate or act as an expert moderator in some of the on-line discussions and face-to-face discussions focused on specific financial inclusion policies<br />
• Participate in the AFI Management Team<br />
• Take full responsibility for AFI as Acting ED when ED is out of the office</p>

<p>You have an advanced university degree in economics, political sciences or other relevant field with outstanding academic record. PhD qualifications are an added advantage. You have minimum 15 years relevant work experience and ability to manage large-scale operations and teams in a multicultural work environment. You are familiar with and passionate about development and financial inclusion policy issues. Having worked in policymaking institutions in developing countries (e.g. central bank, bank supervision authority or ministry of finance) is an added advantage. You are an inspiring leader and networker, a strong team player and consensus builder, and you have significant interpersonal skills. You have excellent management skills including the ability to manage resources economically. You have sound knowledge of socio-economic conditions in several countries and have excellent analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative analytical tools and techniques. You are very well organised and have excellent writing and communication skills. You are fluent in English, with a good grasp of French and/or Spanish. German is an advantage.</p>

<li>Facilitate initial launch meetings with Academic Partner and introduce the functional leaders to the Academic Partner.</li>
<li>Oversee the implementation of the launch plan to ensure successful launch and Academic Partner satisfaction during launch.</li>
<li>Provide bi-weekly results of marketing launch to Academic Partner and ensure application trends are leading to achieving enrollment targets.</li>
<li>Work with internal leaders to ensure that integration with different departments at the Institution is successfully implemented.</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum ten to fifteen years of professional experience, five (5) of which ideally is in a service oriented consulting or Account Management role serving Higher Education.</li>
<li>Significant online learning and/or strong consulting experience across a variety of industries.</li>
<li>Experience in managing P&amp;L.</li>
<li>Able to make decisions with a proven track record of decision making.</li>
<li>Excellent leadership, relationship building, negotiation, communication (written and oral), presentation, planning and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Exceptional time management skills.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.</li>
<li>Ability to identify and propose new tasks and procedures.</li>

<h3>Position Summary and responsibilities:</h3>
<p>This position is located in the Membership &amp; Advisory Services team, which contains both account management specialists and global public health experts. The manager will be considered primarily a global public health expert and will specialize in the health advisory function (aka Content function) within the larger team. S/he will help ensure that the publications, workshops/meetings and engagement opportunities GBCHealth develops for its member companies are consistent both with business needs and with the best of current public health practice.</p>
<p>The manager reports to the VP, Membership &amp; Advisory Services.</p>
<h3>Major responsibilities:</h3>
<ul>
<li>ADVISING and STRATEGY. Provide specialist knowledge on health areas to other GBCHealth colleagues. Ensure that GBCHealth events and other offerings are well-grounded in public health and technically sound. Support GBCHealth regional offices and their special interest areas—for example the China office (diabetes) or South Africa office (nutrition and food security). Working with the database manager, help develop the process and indicators/metrics to track results and capture the unique value of GBCHealth member offerings.</li>
<li>WRITING. Research and develop practical tools and resources to encourage and inform corporate citizenship in topic area such as maternal health, diabetes prevention and management.</li>
<li>CAPACITY-BUILDING. Serve as a hub for staff orientation and development activities to increase GBCHealth staff ability to advise member companies in a variety of areas, from GBCHealth legacy conditions (HIV, TB, malaria) to non-communicable diseases. Develop and roll out an updated series of sessions and self-study materials for GBCHealth staff.</li>
<li>ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT. Manage five to seven member accounts: develop engagement strategies for GBCHealth member companies and organizations; identify and execute strategies to deliver ongoing value for members.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications:</h3>
<p>The manager position requires a business perspective (gained through work experience and/or a business degree) married with a practical understanding of how public health interventions are implemented in low-resource settings. The ideal candidate will combine professional, on-the-ground global health expertise with exceptional writing, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build successful working relationships with a variety of corporate stakeholders.</p>
<ul>
<li>Advanced degree in public health, science, medicine or related field with six to eight years of progressively responsible experience, at least two years of which should be in/with low or middle-income countries</li>
<li>Experience in one or both of the following a plus: monitoring and evaluation; behavior change communication</li>
<li>MBA/Corporate experience highly desirable. Background in one or more of the following will be an asset: corporate social responsibility/triple bottom line; management/strategy/PR consulting; specific industry sectors including food and beverage, agribusiness, extractives or life sciences</li>
<li>Ability to interface with and motivate senior executives at multinational companies, and to forge effective relationships with diverse partners in pursuit of common objectives</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills, including persuasive verbal communication and strong, versatile writing (English)</li>
<li>Spanish or Portuguese fluency an asset</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and function under pressure in fast-paced, dynamic environment</li>
<li>Occasional international and domestic travel required</li>
</ul>
