Extended Hours for Finals Week!

For those of you studying hard this Finals Week, come hang out in the Library for that extra hour or two of studying.

The Lower Mall and the Learning Commons will be open until MIDNIGHT from Monday June 10th through Wednesday June 12th

The Upper Mall, Circulation Desk and Reference Desk will be closing at their regular hours.

Celebrate National Library Week with Fine-Free Week – April 14th – 20th!

Celebrate National Library Week!

In honor of National Library Week, the University Libraries will be celebrating with Fine-Free Week from April 14th to the 20th. The Libraries will be waiving fines under $10! This only applies to fines, and not FEES.

If you have any questions, stop by the Circulation Desk.

Henry H. Hart Collection

New in the Archives! The Henry H. Hart collection is a very interesting collection full of glass slides, stereographic cards, manuscripts, and postcards. Hart was a world traveler, collector of art and an excellent photographer.

Library News for the End of the Quarter

Welcome to the end of the Winter Quarter!

Library Noise:

Please excuse the noise during this construction period. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns: libhelp@csueastbay.edu, michelle.parker@csueastbay.edu or at any of the desks.

Extended hours for the Library:

During Finals Week, the Library will be available for student use an additional 2 hours. From Monday, March 18th to Wednesday, March 20th, students will be able to use the Lower Mall and the Learning Commons from 10 PM to 12 AM (Midnight).

Extended hours for the Concord Library:

The Concord Library will be open one hour earlier during Finals Week: 10 AM to 8 PM.

Campus Shuttle:

The campus shuttle will be running three additional trips during finals week. Starting Monday, March 18th to Thursday, March 21st, the shuttle will leave campus at 11 PM, 11:30 PM and 12:15 AM.

Library Closure:

The Library will be closed during Winter Break, from Saturday, March 23rd until Monday, April 1st.

The Kirk O. Rowlands FDR Collection

A reception was held on November 29th, 2012 to thank the Rowlands family for their generous donation to the the University Libraries of CSU East Bay. Their donation has established a permanent research collection relating to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the New Deal at the CSUEB Concord Campus. Twenty-two of the Rowlands family joined campus administration, faculty, staff and students to celebrate the creation of the collection. The photo above depicts Katherine Rowlands and Linda Dobb, Associate Provost, cutting the ribbon to the new collection.

Extended Hours are here at the Library. Now you have that space to study (or relax).

The Library Learning Commons and the Lower Mall will be open until 12 AM starting on Monday, December 10th, thru Wednesday, December 12th, of next week. From 10 PM to 12 AM, the Circulation Desk and the Upper Mall will be closed.

International Gaming Day @ Your Library this Saturday November 3rd

Do you have the gaming bug? The one that makes you want to play one more hour of Call of Duty, one more round of Carcassonne, that keeps you up all night with alternate ways to describe word in Taboo?

If so, come to the Library in room LI 2023 this Saturday November 3rd from 11 am to 2 pm and meet up with fellow gamers (board, card, video, word, etc). Enjoy some snacks and company while we learn to play new games, share some stories, and just hang out.

Games will be provided, street passes (3DS) would be welcome. Come spend some time in the Library and not worry about doing finding your research sources!

Theatre and Dance Department Celebrates 50 Year Anniversary, Oct. 15-20
