Very likely these are the best and most useful tips for writing poetry–or any other creative writing–I’ve ever seen.
I wrote poetry in high school and read more of it than most and even memorize my favorite poems. But I doubt I’ll attempt it again: I can memorize poems but not forms, meters, how enjambment works, ect.
Instead, I write serial novellas on my blog and for a different blog stories less than 500 words, which I thought would be good discipline. If I could make those shorts have a poetic fluidity and phrases that stuck in the mind–those would be my poems. But I rarely if ever achieve that.
Thanks for these suggestions, though. They’re certain to help me and I’ll no doubt be back, referring to them.

I am a web content writer and I’ve been working 12 hours a day most of the time. I feel that I’m about to drop dead especially since I’m pregnant. I wish I could afford to work for only four hours a day. Sigh.
