Premium Hatchback Jazz Launched in India, Here is the Photos

The fans Honda's in India now can get a Honda Premium Hatchback Jazz. Siel Cars India today launched a variant of the premium hatchback Jazz in India.Seki Inaba, director (marketing) of Honda Siel, launched of the Honda Jazz (hatchback Jazz) in New Delhi, India on Thursday Aug. 18.

The move precedes the introduction of the small car Brio, which will feature the same engine as the new Jazz hatchback Jazz.

The car hatchback Jazz India is priced in the range of Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 6.06 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi India). The old Jazz was priced between Rs 7.12 lakh and Rs 7.56 lakh. The new variant will be fitted with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and give a mileage of 16.7 km per litre.

The engine hatchback Jazz India is being manufactured at a facility in Greater Noida. “The engine capacity at the plant is around 1 lakh units per annum and the utilisation level is about 60 per cent. So, there is enough capacity to produce engines for the Jazz and Brio,” Honda Siel senior vice-president (sales and marketing), Jnaneswar Sen, told TheTelegraph.

He said some of the components would be brought from the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. The localisation level of components in the new car stands at about 76 per cent.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Fades to black and then we see Batman backing away from something, then Bane enters from the left side of the screen. Very quick shot then the trailers done.

The 'Batcopter' - as it's been described online - rolled onto the streets of Pittsburgh under cover, but was soon spotted without those protective sheets.

Indiana State Police say the main stage at the Indiana State Fairgrounds collapsed as the result of severe weather that pushed through Central Indiana around 8:45 pm Saturday.

State Police First Sergeant Dave Bursten addressed a news conference early Sunday morning saying more than 40 people were treated at local hospitals. He adds, that number may increase due to the number of people who transported themselves to the hospital. Injuries range from simple scrapes to more critical trauma. The Marion County Coroner's Office tells Fox 59 four people died, two of which have been identified. Around 8 a.m., a spokesman for the State Fairgrounds confirmed a 5th person had died at a hospital.

First Sergeant Bursten says they are still looking for the "missing who don't know they are missing." He says there is not a specific missing person being searched for, however they are looking for those who are injured, wandered off or maybe fell unconscious after they left the collapse scene.

Concert goers with injuries were transported to area hospitals. Eight people were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital and three were taken to Riley at IU Health. More than a dozen others walked into other IU Health hospitals. Six people were taken to St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital.

FAIR CLOSED SUNDAY, MEMORIAL MONDAY

State Police First Sergeant Dave Bursten also said the Indiana State Fair will be closed Sunday. There is a public memorial scheduled to take place Monday. An exact time and place will be announced soon.

SUGARLAND, BAREILLES SCHEDULED

Sugarland, who was performing at the fairgrounds tweeted "We are all right. We are praying for our fans, and the people of Indianapolis. We hope you will join us. They need your strength."

Sara Bareilles was on stage just before the stage collapsed. She tweeted "I'm speechless and feel so helpless. Please send love and prayers to Indianapolis tonight. My heart aches for the lives lost."

RED CROSS ASSISTS

The Red Cross also helped at the fairgrounds with the immediate incident. They are also providing a place where concert-goers and family members can reunite. They are asking those looking for family to contact their downtown office located at 441 E 10th St. or call (317) 684-4305 to submit names. As of 3:30 am Sunday the Red Cross can provide the names of 33 injured people.

State Police provided chaplains to helping families looking for those who were at the concert.

Facebook pages have been set up for the victims of the accident and celebrities and other are tweeting their thoughts and prayers. Other musicians and celebrities are tweeting thier thoughts for those who were injured.

TIMELINE

8:30am - State Fair Spokesman Andy Klotz confirmed a 5th person died as a result of the stage collapse.

12:35am - Mayor Greg Ballard is asking people to register at the Red Cross' website "Safe and Well" to give loved ones piece of mind if people were at the concert.

12:26am - State Police are saying there are at least 40 people injured and they will have another press conference with more information around 1:30 am.

11:30pm - Chaplains are being asked to help families looking for those who were at the concert.

11:15pm - Police say there have been 27 people injured in the collapse. The Coroner's office has confirmed there are 4 dead.

11:00pm - State Police are having a news conference now. They are saying three people have died as a result of the collapse.

10:45pm - Emergency crews are keeping some of the concert goers in the Horse Barn while trying to assess injuries.

10:30pm - Fox59 has learned Sugarland was about to take the stage when the collapse happened and Sara Bareilles had just ended her set.

We also know there are still people trapped under the stage.

10:00pm - Witnesses are saying the collapsed was caused by a big gust of wind that was with severe weather blowing through Central Indiana.

9:15pm - The main stage of the State Fairgrounds has collapsed. There have been several injured.

Police are not giving details on the severity of injuries as of right now. We will be updating information as it becomes available.

Just a little over a month until The Vampire Diaries Season 3 premieres on Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. on The CW. The first episode, "The Birthday," takes place on Elena's 18th -- but she's having a tough time celebrating with her friends while her boyfriend is indulging his monster instincts all over the country.

The new trailer released is positively sizzling (Hello, Caroline jumping into bed with Tyler. Hello. Rewind. Pause. Hello.) and gives away some juicy moments from the first episode. In it, we see Damon tell Elena, "Stefan's gone, Elena. You can forget about him. He's not coming back."

Has Damon given up on Stefan? We talked to Ian Somerhalder to get the scoop.

"Damon knows this cycle with his brother," Somerhalder tells us. "He's seen it before, totally. He says to Elena, 'Stefan's not coming back. Not in your lifetime.' I mean, she's young, but human beings only live maybe eighty years. For Stefan and Damon, that's nothing. Unless Klaus rips their hearts out, they're going to live for another thousand years."

Damon still has some hope that Stefan will eventually be Stefan again, but in the meantime, he's been tracking his brother's progress with newspaper clippings that hint at the havoc that Stefan and Klaus are wreaking. In the beginning of the season premiere, though, Damon isn't actively searching for Stefan.

"I don't think that Damon's focus is really to save Stefan, because he understands that if Stefan doesn't want to be found, he's not going to be, and in some weird way Damon respects that. He's been there, too, not very long ago," he says.

Despite everything, though, Somerhalder says that Damon isn't aggressively pursuing Elena in his brother's absence. "He wants Elena to be happy and he wants her to be safe," he explains, "and she'll try anything crazy to find Stefan, so he's looking out for her."

Judging by the trailer below, Damon and Stefan aren't exactly giving each other man-hugs when they do finally reunite. "Oh, make no mistake about it, Damon's pissed off at Stefan," Somerhalder laughs. "For two seasons he tried to get Stefan to do exactly what he's doing now, to drink blood, with Damon. And now he's running off doing exactly that thing, but with some a**hole that Damon can't stand. A guy that tried to kill Damon and everyone they care about."

Is Damon feeling a little jealous of Klaus, perhaps? "Stefan's left Damon here in Mystic Falls. Now he's got to protect this girl that he loves, but that he can't have, because it's his brother's girl -- and even though it's Damon, he can't do that to his brother," Somerhalder says. "And even if he could, she doesn't love him anyway. She wants his brother. So when he finally sees Stefan, it's like, 'I tried for two seasons to get you to do this and now you're off running around with this idiot.' That's all Damon wanted in Season 1, was his brother to run around with him and munch on sorority girls and bring down the house wherever they went, and Stefan said no. Now he's left Damon here all by himself, to fend for himself, and protect this girl who is 150 years his junior. He's not happy about it."

On some level, Stefan is enjoying the ripping -- he had to work so hard to be noble and good for so long that giving in to his weaknesses now takes a bit of a weight off his shoulders. As you'll see in the first few episodes of the season, Stefan doesn't plan on coming back for Elena. He thinks she's better off without him... and when he's in this state, he's probably right.

There's been a definite role reversal -- though we will say that Stefan's "ripper" rampage is much bloodier than the spree of killings we saw from Damon in Season 1 -- and we couldn't help but wonder if Somerhalder misses the days when Damon was bloodthirsty, reckless, and a little unhinged.

"I do, a lot, but I realize that there are ebbs and flows," he says. "This is a hundred-episode arc of a character, and he can't just be one dimensional. I was worried that Damon was becoming this hero, and Kevin [Williamson] said 'No, he's not the hero. He needs to be, but he's the anti-hero, because he's supposed to be not hurting people, but that's not his nature, so he slips, he response is 'Screw this.' Now, I think that struggle, that push and pull for Damon is what's going to make this season interesting for me as an actor and interesting for Damon as a character. I don't want to lose that quote-unquote 'bad' side of Damon."

He pauses, then adds, "You're not going to see Damon crying this season. Trust me."

While Jeremy’s ability to speak with the dead is going to remain a secret at first, there is one member of “The Vampire Diaries” cast who is going to find out the truth about what is going on pretty early — and be fairly affected as a result.

Speaking in a new interview, executive producer Julie Plec confirms that Zach Roerig is going to encounter the supernatural world rather early — and it ends up being rather emotional thanks to an opportunity to talk with his late sister:

“Matt is one of the first people to learn Jeremy’s secret, and one of the loves of Jeremy’s life visiting him from beyond the grave is Matt’s sister Vicki, who he never really had complete closure with. So he is gonna have, with Jeremy, an emotional journey in this supernatural world as he learns that his sister’s out there and contactable and tries to convince Jeremy to help him get the closure that he’s needed.”

It has also been hinted that this “I see dead people”-esque plot is going to reach its climax in October, and we will finally return why Jeremy has been specifically granted this power — and what the spirits of the past want with him specifically. The portrait depicts the young couple conjoined at the torso and almost entirely nude, with a Canadian maple leaf and a Texas lone star covering their private parts. Bieber hails from Ontario, Canada from while Gomez calls Grand Prairie, Texas home.

Edwards has titled "Justin and Selena as One." This isn't the first celebrity couple Edwards has sculpted. He previously captured Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in a piece called "Brangelina Forever." At a time when transgender communities around the world are largely ignored or misrepresented in the media, the 60-minute documentary video Tales of The Waria intimately explores how one such community confronts issues of love, family, and faith. Traveling to Indonesia, the world’s most populated Muslim country, the film trains its lens on the waria, biological men who identify as women and are a surprisingly visible presence in a culture normally associated with strict gender divides. Interweaving the stories of several waria who make extraordinary sacrifices for love, Tales of The Waria creates a moving and unexpected portrait of a community that dares to live differently from the norm, despite what consequences may await them.

When I first read an article about the waria in 2005, I was amazed to learn that a transgender community could exist so visibly in the world’s largest Muslim country. Unable to shake my curiosity, I took several Indonesian language courses and traveled to Indonesia in the summer of 2008 to experience the lives of the waria firsthand. I discovered a world full of contradictions, tragedy, and heroism—one that I knew had to be shared with larger audiences.

I invited the waria to join me in creating a documentary on their most favorite topic of conversation: love. They were thoroughly enthusiastic. Waria elders gladly agreed to serve as advisors throughout the project. Gaya Celebes, a local health organization staffed by waria and gay members, generously lent translators and story consultants. Several of their members also became part of the film crew.

Together, we are venturing forth on a project that promises to be an unprecedented glimpse into a little known but truly remarkable community a community that not only challenges our assumptions about gender, masculinity, and Islam, but also reveals our endless capacity as human beings to find, despite great hardship and disappointment, happiness and meaning in our lives.

Asyraf Haziq's plight was captured on video and uploaded onto YouTube where it has been viewed more than a million times, becoming one of the most arresting images of the disturbances so far.

The Malaysian embassy has said the 20-year-old first year student at Kaplan International College is being treated at the Royal London hospital, Whitechapel, where he is to have an operation for a broken jaw. He has suffered broken teeth.

Haziq's mother, Maznah Abu Mansor, 47, told Malaysian website, the Star: "I was initially very worried but I'm glad that he is all right. However I am not able to talk to him because of his injuries."

Haziq was bleeding from his mouth, sitting down on the pavement next to a pool of blood on Monday evening when a group of young men appeared to try to assist him, helping him to his feet, only for them to rummage through the contents of his rucksack and remove items, leaving him to stagger off in a daze. Haziq reportedly had his mobile phone and wallet taken. He was on his way to buy food to break his Ramadan fast when he was attacked at 7pm in Barking, east London, according to the Star.

Pictures and a video of him recuperating have been posted online by Haziq's friends and people have been expressing support for him on Twitter using the hashtag #getwetllsoonashrafhaziq.

There are about 13,600 Malaysian students in the UK. The Malaysian high commission in London has responded to the riots by advising Malaysians to "avoid high risk areas". In a statement on its website it says: "All Malaysians living in or visiting the United Kingdom are advised to exercise maximum alert and vigilance while they are in public places, especially in areas affected by the riots."

Dzuhair Hanafiah, president of the London UMNO Club, which takes its name from Malaysia's main political party and provides welfare services for the Malay and Malaysian community in the UK, tweeted that he had been helping students move from areas deemed to be unsafe. "Received call from female students in Peckham asked to be moved to safer place. Me and Nasri going there at 4am. It's 3.20am now."

A spokesman for the Malaysian high commission said it was providing consular assistance to Haziq and that the deputy high commissioner, Wan Zaidi, had visited him in hospital.

Exxon Valdez oil spill

The March 24, 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill resulted in the discharge of approximately 11 million gallons of oil (240,000 barrels) into Prince William Sound, oiling 1,300 miles (2,100 km) of the remote Alaskan coastline. The State of Alaska's Exxon Valdez Oil spill Trustee Council stated that the spill "is widely considered the number one spill worldwide in terms of damage to the environment", but many larger spills have occurred.

Exxon was widely criticized for its slow response to cleaning up the disaster. John Devens, the Mayor of Valdez, has said his community felt betrayed by Exxon's inadequate response to the crisis. Exxon later removed the name "Exxon" from its tanker shipping subsidiary, which it renamed "SeaRiver Maritime." The renamed subsidiary, though wholly Exxon-controlled, has a separate corporate charter and board of directors, and the former Exxon Valdez is now the SeaRiver Mediterranean. The renamed tanker is legally owned by a small, stand-alone company, which would have minimal ability to pay out on claims in the event of a further accident.

After a trial, a jury ordered Exxon to pay $5 billion in punitive damages, though an appeals court reduced that amount by half. Exxon appealed further, and on June 25, 2008, the United States Supreme Court lowered the amount to $500 million.

In 2009, Exxon still uses more single-hull tankers than the rest of the largest ten oil companies combined, including the Valdez's sister ship, the SeaRiver Long Beach.

New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced on July 17, 2007 that he had filed suit against the Exxon Mobil Corporation and ExxonMobil Refining and Supply Company to force cleanup of the oil spill at Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and to restore Newtown Creek.

A study of the spill released by the US Environmental Protection Agency in September 2007 reported that the spill consists of approximately 17 to 30 million gallons of petroleum products from the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century. The largest portion of these operations were by ExxonMobil or its predecessors. By comparison, the Exxon Valdez oil spill was approximately 11 million gallons. The study reported that in the early 20th century Standard Oil of New York operated a major refinery in the area where the spill is located. The refinery produced fuel oils, gasoline, kerosene and solvents. Naptha and gas oil, secondary products, were also stored in the refinery area. Standard Oil of New York later became Mobil, a predecessor to Exxon/Mobil.

Colombian Detainee Thought to be Fugitive Indonesian Party Treasurer

Authorities in Colombia are holding a man who is believed to be the fugitive former treasurer of Indonesia's ruling Democratic party, Muhammad Nazaruddin.

Officials in Jakarta said Monday the man was arrested Sunday in Cartagena based on information provided to the international police agency Interpol. They said the man was traveling on a passport bearing the name M. Syahruddin and has been identified by the Indonesian ambassador in Colombia as physically identical to the missing treasurer.

They said police will fly to Colombia to verify the man's identity.
Nazaruddin fled to Singapore in May while being investigated on suspicion of soliciting almost $3 million in bribes in connection with the construction of an athletes' village for the Southeast Asian Games, to be held in November.

The treasurer disappeared soon after that, but has proclaimed his innocence and leveled charges against other politicians in electronic messages to reporters.

The case has been a major embarrassment to the government of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who was re-elected in 2009 on promises to clean up corruption in the government.

Another fake Apple store operates in Chongqin City, the China Daily newspaper reported.

A photo exposé posted by an American expatriate blogger in Kunming recently became a global Internet sensation and prompted the government's own belated inspection. For those in the front-line fight against China's pirates, these bad apples taste all too familiar.

"You get everything from McDonald's and Starbucks lookalikes to whole hotels copied," says Chris Bailey, a China-based executive at intellectual property consultancy firm Rouse. "It's pretty normal, not just the look and decoration but … fake certificates too, and good enough to fool people," he says. And why so brazen? "The penalties don't outweigh the benefits."

Last week, an entrepreneur in the southern city of Zhongshan faced trial for running an Abercrombie & Fitch store, packed with fake merchandise, reported the Zhongshan Daily newspaper. The U.S. clothing company has yet to open a China store. China's market remains chaotic and counterfeiters still reap large profits, says Beijing intellectual property lawyer Han Fei.

"The government must educate the public to buy less fakes, improve overall moral quality, and revise the laws to raise fines," he says.

But with China's economic rise, there been a boost in demand for Western brands. Snoopy and the Playboy bunny logo are often stitched onto clothing. If consumers can't find or afford KFC or McDonald's, lookalikes include KMC and MKC, while several coffee chains mimic Starbucks' logo. China is well-known for counterfeiting. For decades, it has exported knock-offs of high-end designer bags such as Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Coach, as well as fake Rolex and Omega watches and cigarette brands such as Marlboro. Pirated DVDs of American films can be bought on streets and the Web. Even fake collectible U.S. coins are minted.

Plants in China's southern provinces near Hong Kong have been caught producing imitation Windows software, Duracell batteries, Chanel fragrances and even Viagra. A major obstacle is China's shanzhai culture, whereby some Chinese delight in making cheap imitations, sometimes in parody, of expensive, famous brands. At its most innocent, shanzhai celebrates the Chinese office worker who last month surprised colleagues by turning up in his homemade Iron Man suit.

More seriously, fake Chinese products, such as food and medications, threaten consumers. "There is too much tolerance of the shanzhai," says Paul Ranjard, a lawyer at Beijing's Wanhuida, a law firm and intellectual property agency. "It's infringement, but there is an ambiguous attitude" in Chinese society and its courtrooms, he says.

Even at Apple's flagship Beijing store, one of only four nationwide, there appears some grudging respect for the Kunming copycat. "We were surprised, and had to laugh, as it looks just like our store, but I hope it is shut down soon," salesman Ge Heng says.

Odong-Odong: Songs of the Pakpak of North Sumatra Indonesia

The term odong-odong is simply translated as “song’, nyanyian, in Tindi Radja Manik’s Pakpak-Dairi-Dictionary, without further specification. But according to Oloan Tumangger’s publication on Pakpak-Dairi culture odong-odong refers specifically to the songs sung by men working in the solitude of the jungle when they collect forest products. Tumangger finds odong-odong very attractive because of their poetic qualities, often expressing pent-up feelings of sadness and disappointment in love or life. They may be performed either by a solo singer or in a choir and are not accompanied by instrumental music (Tumangger 1999:88).

In Moore’s thesis the term odong-odong is said to refer to one of the two main singing styles used in Pakpak Culture. It is characteristic for loud singing and is performed exclusively by men working in the forest (Moore 1985:6). The singing of these songs while collecting incense (kemenjen) or other forest products serves to stay in contact with other workers and helps to combat the singer’s feras and feelings of loneliness (Moore 1985:36).

Most songs in odong odong style are in free metre and are sung with much ornamentation (Moore 1985:104,117). Singers of these songs use characterisctic poetic and/or melodic formulae that distinguish them from other traditional songs. Poetic formulae that distinguish them from other traditional songs.Poetic formulae telling of the despair and the sad fate of the singer may accompanied by long, melodically structured “sighs” or “cries” (Moore 1985:107), similar to those used in the laments that are mainly sung by women.

Poetic formulae used in songs that are sung during incense collecting (ende-ende kemenjen) often refer to work in the jungle and its natural phenomena. The following example quoted from Moore’s thesis refers to birds that live among the kemenjen trees (Moore 1985:111-113) :
