I love it when there is a connection and a Cadillac finds a new home because of the site. Well it wasn’t all because of the site but we helped out a little here are the details.

Deb from Las Vegas went to a car show in Henderson Nevada and brought her Camera along (actually she never leaves home without it) anyway she took pictures of all the Cars there including a white 1964 Cadillac Hearse.

She is featured this month on the Cadillac Country Club homepage if you want to see this beauty. She was seen by Kaz of our sister site www.caddychat.com when Deb placed up some pics here Cadillac Hearse

The Caddys name is Miss Lilly and she is currently being shipped from Henderson Nevada to Austrailia. That is so cool, a new Home for a classic model hearse. All the way on the other side of the world.

Looking for some Vintage Cadillacs

I have been contacted by a Cadillac Dealer in Conneticut that is looking to put together some sort of meet up for the anniversary of the dealership. If you own a classic and want to participate shoot me an email and I will forward you what little details I have now. Could be lots of fun.

Yesterday I went to the 2008 New York Auto Show and am I glad I did. I learned more about the new Cadillac’s then I could have imagined. I took over 400 photos and did some sort videos that will be up on the site in a short while. Actually some videos are already up over on www.caddychat.com in the video section.

It seemed to me that Cadillac has been using their brains a bit and coming up with some stuff that is amazing. They had the concept car the “Provoq” which runs on hydrogen and electric ONLY. It even plugs right into your house or it charges with the solar panel on the roof. I think the Provoq is going to end up replacing the SRX at some point.

I chatted with almost every rep that Cadillac had there and let me tell you these nice people really know the features on these Cadillac’s. They were very nice to me and not because they had to be if you know what I mean.

The front grille opens and closes to let air in to cool the hydrogen cells. The bottom of the car is sealed off and so is the hubcaps. It really was amazing to watch the presentaion on this Cadillac. I think if they released it today it would be a hit and I am sure we would have more hydrogen stations by public demand.

The other model they had on display was the CTS concept Cadillac which has a huge powerful engine. Sleek styling and more features then I can remember. I liked the doors the best as it was keyless.

I wish I had the time to upload all the pictures but that will take a few days at the least.

Every once in a while I stumble across a vintage Cadillac that makes me jump up and say Wow. As you have seen on the main site there is a picture of a 1935 Cadillac 370-D Fleetwood Torn Cabriolet. This Cadillac sure did get my attention.

It was a jet glossy black piece of machinery that just screamed classic. The Caddy looked like it just came out of a show room floor. The big V-12 was the thing that provided this baby with a ton of power.

From the medalion near the car it said it won numerous awards including the 2005 Palm Beach Concours d’Elegance winner, 2003 Ameilia Island 100 Years of Cadillac, and the 2004 National Senior Grand First place. Like I said this car is a dream.

The car is currently sitting at the auto collections show at the Imperial Palace casino in Las Vegas. I was out there in early March and actually comped to see all the classic auto’s that are on display. There must be over 100 of them there at all times.

To see more about this 1935 click here http://www.cadillaccountryclub.com/1935-cadillac.html

You may even see a picture of me, I couldn’t resist standing next to this classic.

I promised you guys a few pictures and stuff on older Cadillacs last time I wrote. Here is a page with a few 1950’s Cadillacs that I hope you enjoy. I am currently in Las Vegas and yesterday I was over at the Imperial Palace taking pictures of some classic Cadillacs. They had one from the 1930’s and of course the 1953 that was owned by Rita Hayworth was still there.

I picked up a book about the first 100 years of Cadillac at the gift shop and I was amazed by all the information and the pictures. More on that in a later post, I am sure I will make a review of the whole book when I finish it. Here is a link if you want to check it out for yourself. Cadillac: 100 Years of Innovation. I am amazed at all the celebrities and their Cadillacs. The writer really has a passion about Cadillac.

On this blog I want to try to keep up with what the New Cadillacs are up to as well as show some cool vintage Cadillacs. I try to make everyone happy and that is tough. This one is about the 2008 Cadillac CTS. I am sorry if you are a vintage Cadillac guy like me but I can’t control myself this Cadillac is Hot.

When I first read about the changes that Cadillac was making to the CTS I wasn’t sure what die hard Cadillac fans like me would think. After all the CTS was already a hit with anyone who ever got behind the wheel and pressed down on the gas pedal and felt the power that this little Cadillac has had.

The optional packages is what makes this Cadillac stand out from other midsize cars like the Acura TL and the Infiniti G. Being a Cadillac fan I am slightly bias towards Cadillac’s. I think what Cadillac did was take a cool looking power filled CTS and made it better which I didn’t think was at all a possibility.

I have made a few changes to the main page at www.CadillacCountryClub.com where I added a picture of a “Cadillac of the month” for the last month it was a 1949 Cadillac Custom Fastback. I am going to change the picture to another Caddy that most would not consider a hot rod but there is something that makes it special and according to my sources there is only one of them in the world. Its a four wheel drive and its not a truck! Make sure you check back on the site in a few days to see a lot of pictures of this really strange Cadillac.

Happy Holidays to all - I hope you and your family have a safe and joyful holday season.

It has been a while since I have sent out any emails, that doesn’t mean things are not happening around here. In fact things are really busy. The forum www.caddychat.com is gaining new members and they are starting to show some pictures of their Cadillac’s.

The www.Cadillaccountryclub.com site is currently getting more visitors than ever. I have updated the pages on the 1950’s Cadillacs and started to place some information on Cadillacs from the 1940’s. If you have any pictures from this era feel free to share them. As usual you can either email me or you can post them up on Caddychat.com.

I have changed the newsletter format to make it faster to get the latest information to you as soon as updates to the site(s) are made.

The beauty of the Cadillac blog is you can comment on the information that you see in this newsletter. I would love to hear from you. It is only through your participation that the sites get better. You can help make your Cadillac community the best on the internet.

Speaking of the sites, I bet you didn’t know that the site gets a lot of hits from around the world. There are countries that I have never heard of that visit and revisit the site. In the last 6 months I am amazed at the amount of Cadillacs there are scattered all over the world.

I have been contacted by various people that want to rent classic Cadillacs for their groups to use to cruise the USA. That sounds like a great way to see the country.

On Caddychat right now there is an old Cadillac that is looking for a new home, If you are up for a restoration project and you are in the Georgia area this might be something you should look at.

By popular demand I have added sections on Cadillac hearses and pro cars and even a special section on Catera’s.

Like I said things are busy and that is a good thing. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Save Money On Gas By Making A Few Changes.

Gas seems to be going up everyday and with the rising prices of gasoline the first thing that crosses your mind is how can I save money. You will always prefer that your Cadillac provides maximum mileage but consumes lesser amount of precious fuel. You obviously don’t want to run up your monthly car expenses

So if you want to save money and enjoy your car rides without worrying too much about fuel expenses then you must make your car more fuel-efficient. To get the most out of your fuel tanks without burning a hole in your pockets you can adopt the following budget-friendly tips on how to make your car more fuel-efficient:

To get more miles per gallon of fuel both while driving in the city or on the highway you’ve got to regularly check your car tuning. Keep an eye on the spark plugs and if there is any problem get it tuned immediately so that no additional fuel gets wasted.

The air filters of your car’s engine often accumulate dirt particles. So get your car air filters checked regularly and replace them as and when necessary to increase your car’s fuel efficiency.

You can see more tips on the maintence section here http://www.cadillaccountryclub.com/maintain-your-cadillac.html

I am waiting to see the all new Cadillac’s. They are running commercials for the redesigned 2008 CTS like crazy on my tv.

It is creating a buzz like I have never seen Cadillac do before. I love it when they do that. It makes me want to run out to my nearest Cadillac delaer and ask him when they are getting in the new model.

As soon as I see them relased I will be running out to get some pictures, that’s for sure. You can also expect a full review on the main www.cadillaccountryclub.com site as well as a dedicated section on www.caddychat.com.

Speaking of Caddychat it has been a long journey getting people to sign up and post. If you haven’t done so please take the time to join and put up some pictures or even some video if you have some.

This new blog is designed to become a place where we can interact with each other.

I have learned that Cadillac owners are a strange breed and I mean that in a good way. Some people don’t like to join forums like the one I have set up at www.caddychat.com they would rather just made a short post or comment on a story. That is what the blog is all about. A place to comment on stuff that is in the news.

If you have a Cadillac site that you feel is worthy of a mention here speak up and put a link in the comments to it. This way others can enjoy it as well.

Some people like the Classic Cadillacs and some like the new Escalade. This blog/forum/site are aimed at all Cadillac’s.

Luxury and class is what this place is all about. I would love to hear what type of Caddy is your favorite and why.
