Once I got past all the expletives in my head, I came up with a few suggestions.
Here's what I wrote to Jack... feel free to add to the list.

- Jack

Dubbya is without question the worst president in American history. A cancer on our constitution. A scar on truth, justice and compassion. His tenure has taken us to the brink in almost every respect, yet he remains unwilling or unable to speak honestly or appologize for anything.

But, if I lived in fantasy land I'd love to hear him say any or all of the following for starters...

"I'm moving to Iraq to help rebuild that country"
"I can't wait to go and clear brush in the lower 9th ward"
"I'm going on vacation in Gaza next month"
"I'm giving all of my money to people facing foreclosure"
"I've joined the army and we deploy to the Middle East next week"
"I'm decidering to never let another Bush run for public office"

I'm dreaming... I know.
But if W someday grows a conscience, the only thing he can say (and he better say it crying his head off) is...

"I'm SO sorry for everything I've done. Please, PLEEASE... forgive me!"

In the meantime I suggest that we take this transition as an opportunity to grow.
No matter the outrage I am always reminding myself of the saying...

When we Forgive we are able to Love.
When we Love, Gods Light Shines on You.

We've come together as a nation before in the face of great challenges and we can do it once more.
After all... there truly is no where to go from here but up.

Every year millions of us get together around the holidays, celebrate the bonds of family and friends and make our New Years resolutions. The only thing more predictable than making these resolutions of course, is how quickly most of us break them. C'mon you all know who you are...

So this year I thought I would do something a little different and instead of linking the past to next year, I'm going to look forward by CLOSING 2008. I'm going to bless and release all of 2008 so that 2009 is wide open for manifesting. Here's an outline of my plan.

* Brainstorm all of the things I've accomplished in 2008.

For starters... I stayed alive and have relatively good health. I will expand from there. Next I'll...

* Brainstorm the things I no longer want in my life.

Specifically, thought patterns that hold, limit or restrict. Then I'll...

* Think about my dreams for the future and what I want to welcome into my life.

I would like to travel more, live simpler, donate my time and skills to organizations making a difference and enjoy earning more money. Next I'll...

* Make a list of my goals for the year ahead.

All of us are neurologically goal focused, so we have a much better chance of hitting a target if we know where it is. For myself this means elimination of my debt and at least 1 travel trip abroad for starters. I intend to get very specific. Remember that the key here is to WRITE IT ALL DOWN so you can focus on it and your angels can see what you want. Next I'll...

* Read through my list of accomplishements and congratulate myself.

I don't think we do this enough. So after I've made my lists from above, I'm going to lay them out from left to right ending with the list of things I'd like to welcome and attract into my life. Then I will...

* Sit quietly and allow myself to be fully present in the moment.

There is no time limit on this except that you must feel it in your bones. Meditate and soak it all in.

So that's it. That's my plan.

Now more than ever, I think it's time to be honest, clear and driven to what we want most. Regardless of past performance or the challenges ahead I feel a deeper sense of urgency and clarity now. I know deep down, that if we all honor that essence, we can ride the waves of change we want in 2009! So this New Years Eve, I raise a goal and not a glass. It's as good a place as any to begin.
This Christmas, times seem more uncertain than in any year we can remember. And while it's tempting to feel a sense of stress remember that with uncertainty comes opportunity. Money is shifting, careers are changing and old ways will have to be replaced with new ideas.

So wherever you are this holiday season and what ever your state of mind we hope you are indulging in all that is important and reconsidering that which is not. Doing so allows us to create something new. When waves of change arrive, it's ride em or drown.

So here's wishing you some good surfing in the new year ahead. Enjoy the love of those around you and give of yourself. The more we truly come together the less we will all be apart.
As is often the case, the flooding was made much worse by man made trash and debris that clogged drainage canals causing the water to spill it's banks and find new paths to the sea through peoples homes and neighborhoods. Thankfully there were no deaths, but lots of danger and distruption.
This on the same day it snowed in New Orleans! Jeez! I don't know what to expect in the years ahead, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize the weather is getting more extreme every year. Maybe it's part of a longer natural cycle. Maybe humans are to blame because of our consumption and pollution. Either way, it feels like the planet is trying to shake us off like fleas. And why wouldn't she? If our bodies can regenerate and heal cuts and wounds, why not the Earth right?

Sitting at an airport can be a wonderous thing. It's like taking acid. It can go any way you want it to. Bring to it your intention and so shall it be. It's that immediacy that throws many people off balance. Some take it as a challenge others a discomfort while others thrive on it. Regardless, the fact that we CAN move about this planet with such ease and relative fluidity should never be taken for granted.

Not long ago you had to be somewhat suicidal to Travel. So much so we didn't even call it travelling, we called it exploring. Finding new worlds. Going off to die and never be seen again. Things like that. Back then, traveling meant extreme hardship. It wasn't IF you'd suffer in your quest for new horizons, it was only to what degree. Comfort and pillows and air conditioning and porters and fast food restaurants and clean bathrooms were fantasies if even imagined.

And so could the future see changes that we can't imagine now. Chief among them might be that we WON'T be able to travel because of money or even laws. If it does become limited because of costs lets' say... what would that mean for our world and for our understanding of each other? What would that do to kindness, diplomacy and knowledge if only the affluent were able to move about this planet. A world without wings and inquisition is a world ripe for brainwashing and confrontation. If you can empathize you can realize and once truth takes root, it will win every time.

So keep your wings about you, even if the lines are long and the kid in the seat behind you won't stop kicking and crying. If you are sitting in 12B you are doing your duty as a citizen of our planet. Remember how much you live and learn when traveling. Remember that, so children learn it too.
