	OZ CYCLONE CHASERS UPDATE IGGY JAN 27 PM.mp4 Major Points tonight (1) Iggy is expected to gradually deepen while moving SE (2) Iggy is currently moving into an area of weaker vertical wind shear and warm ocean temperatures and an outflow channel will begin to develop to its east and south in the next 24 hours. (3) Iggy has about a 75% chance of directly impacting the coastline with damaging, or destructive wind gusts. (4) there is still a 25% chance that iggy will not directly impact the coastline and intra and inter model guidance and variance after 60 hours remains huge. (5) Intensity estimates of Iggy range from a 940Hpa Category 4 to a 975Hpa Category 2 system as it approaches the coast. (6) The system is likely to dump large amounts of rain on the Pilbara and due to its expected slow movement, it is also likely to extend the period of time locations will be affected by its winds. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service ranger Kylie Goodall manages the Cassowary Rehabilitation Centre at Bingil Bay, coordinating 70 feeding stations across the Cassowary Coast that played an essential role keeping birds healthy when so many natural food sources were destroyed. Bingil Bay artist and conservationist Liz Gallie is on a mission to save the cassowary, and she isn't going to let a Category 5 cyclone get in the way. Octogenarian conservationist Margaret Thorsborne and her husband gifted Edmund Kennedy National Park to the government for $1. Until Yasi, she had lived in the centre of the park for 40 years. With Dunk, Bedarra and the Elandra all closed, things are looking pretty grim for tourism on the Cassowary Coast, but it's not all doom and gloom. Dan Hatten, owner of Mission Beach's Eco Village tourist resort spent five months closed after Yasi, but now business is better than ever. The El Arish Tavern shook violently as Yasi came calling, with landlord Wayne Kimberley coordinating efforts to save his pub, the neighbourhood hub. He's lived in Mission Beach for forty years and raised eight children there, but Dunk Island Sport Fishing's Alister Pike has never found life so tough. 	Oz Cyclone Chasers Update 21 January 2012 Wow complex complex complex. Main points: (1) Tropical LOW developing near NE NT. Where it moves in the next 1-3 days could determine development potential of a TC over the Gulf or near NT. (2) A new LOW (not the one near Gove) is being tipped by both GFS and EC to form off WA (between WA and Indonesia) and deepen significantly while moving towards the east and closer to the Pilbara coast by next Saturday. (3) A very big rainfall situation develops over Queensland as the monsoon trough deepens, pushes south and feeds in a deep tongue of moisture into a strong upper trough extending northwards into Queensland. Very complex patterns so please stay in touch with us. Starting Monday or Tuesday we may have to release updates twice a day depending on scenarios and development of LOWS.
