Whats new with our Club Membership?
After listening over the last year to all of our clients feedback we have decided to make a few upgrades and changes to better suit your needs as a homeowner looking for a low cost, low maintenance way to keep your home and plumbing safe and up to date!

We have changed the name from ‘Diamond Club Membership’ to just our ‘Club Membership’. We did this to reduce the confusion we were receiving about our reward for being a Diamond Certified Plumbing Company and also having a “Diamond Club Membership” with the plumbing in your home. As you can tell its easy to get the two confused. So from now on we will have a “Club Membership” with Cal Coast Plumbing Co.
Front Of The Line Service is now also “Same Day Service” where as a Club Member with Cal Coast Plumbing you are guaranteed same day service as when you called when requested. If you don’t need same day service or don’t want same day service we will work with the next available time that works with you and your plumbing needs.
$100 towards upgrades of energy efficient products! This is one we are very proud of. Each year when you receive your whole home tune-up and inspection from our Diamond Certified plumbers, we are offering you a $100 credit towards any energy efficient product you want from a list of certified products for your home. An example may be a new toilet you have been wanting to get installed. Well as long as Cal Coast Plumbing provides that toilet you will get not only $100 from Cal Coast Plumbing AND your 20% discount, but you will also get any local or regional rebates for High Efficiency Products when available! So $100 (energy credit) + $100 (possible rebate) + 20% discount with your membership! Areas such as Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon, Danville, Alamo all have Plumbing rebates available.
The fourth change is a change we are making out of high demand. This change goes to how you pay for your Club Membership. Many people have been commenting on how they don’t want charges coming out of their credit card. Well there is good news! We can now take withdrawals from authorized bank accounts through our secure online merchant so you no longer have to deal with CC fees as well as changing or canceling credit cards. Also the credit we are applying to your account will now no longer accrue for new and changing members. Instead of using the accrual method we have now decided to give $100 towards energy upgrades, making the membership essentially pay for itself!

If you have any questions regarding these changes please contact me.

Melanie and her family decided to invest in water efficient products that not only improved the plumbing and look of their home, but also have nearly paid for themselves in water savings in little over a year! Melanie decided to replace her old toilets with new high efficient toilet and is saving about a gallon of water every flush on all 3! We are proud of her plumbing decisions and we are proud to be her plumber.

“Do I need to replace my waste piping?”
“When do I need to replace a waste line?”
“Do roots really break my piping?”
“What is an offset?”

All these are pretty much asking the same question. Generally the story goes that a plumber came over to your home because there was a backup and after they cleared the line they sent a video camera down to make sure everything was ok. Oops! As if having backed up plumbing east bad enough now the plumber telling you that your waste line needs to be replaced? Can it really be??

Well there are many factors and questions that go into whether or not a waste line needs to be replaced.
One of the major questions you should ask is “how old is my waste line and how much do I want to out into it?”
Also the question of what is causing the break needs consideration. Think of repair vs. replace as a sliding scale of investment for your line. If, for instance, your waste line to your home is 10 years old, there is a slight offset in the line and no other problems, maybe a spot repair is more cost effective than pipe bursting. Now on the other hand say your home was build in the 1950′s, there are several offsets including root intrusion, then we are probably further down on the replacement aspect of the scale. In the end it’s down to how much investment you want to put in vs. what the problem is. Obviously for one time permanent fixes we suggest pipe bursting replace – its a no hassle one time fix all solution that can be done on the lower side of $4k-$7k. On the other hand we have many customers that we suggest, and are very happy to have a spot repair on a good line and will last for 30 more years.

In the end the most important aspect is get the data (age of line and cost of repairs) and a plumber who you trust to do your plumbing and who’s relationship you trust in the long term. If you pick a plumber with up front straight forward pricing like ours, the decision usually becomes and easy, worry free one. Feel free to email is with any questions or call us.

Toilet Rebates for Pleasanton Customers

Great news for Pleasanton residents who pay a water bill! Until the funds run out, the City Of Pleasanton is offering up to $250 off new high efficiency toilets. While the $250 off is a great deal by itself, Cal Coast Plumbing is going another step further in taking 10 to 20% off of all toilets until the end of December!

That means on average you are getting a new high efficiency toilet, installed by a certified plumber at Cal Coast Plumbing, for nearly 50% off!

If that news isn’t good enough to peak your plumbing interest, on average the new high efficiency toilets pay themselves off in water savings in around 24-36 months, after which you are saving money on every flush!

This is only available until the end of December at Cal Coast Plumbing or until the City Of Pleasanton runs out of its funds for this project. Please give us a call today to have a no cost, no obligation plumbing estimate to install one of these toilets for you home!

How a Small Company Saved Over 1 Million Gallons of Fresh Water

I work for a small plumbing company. To this point it has never had more than 10 people to account for in its 20 year existence. In retrospect its quite amazing that we alone, in the course of a little under 2 years, have been able to save one million gallons of water. Later this month we will celebrate the milestone of one million gallons of water that we have saved and as a special ‘thank you’ to all of our clients we will be giving to them bottles of water – just kidding – we will be giving away bottles of wine! We bought 20 bottles of wine (for the top 20 water saving homes) in 2009 when we began tracking our installation of High Efficiency Toilets and other eco friendly installations to celebrate the passing of 1 millions gallons saved, we just didn’t know it would happen so fast!

Many people have asked us how we have accomplished such an amazing feat in such little time, so I decided to give some insights of how easy it is for small companies to make a big difference. In our case, how we saved over one million gallons in 2 years and even more in the future!

KEEP IT SIMPLE
It was simple for us to predict success with this program. We knew that most toilets we come across are around 2-3.5 GPF (gallons per flush) while the new HET (High Efficiency Toilets) are 1.28. That’s up to 2 gallons every flush saved. The water savings alone can pay off a new HET toilet in less than 2 years. All we had to do was educate the client in a way that made it easy to choose replacing their existing toilet and make the investment into the new higher efficiency model. In the end we had a product and service that could make a long term benefit to the client and environment. It was something we could do in every home over and over.

KNOW YOUR CLIENTS!
There is a reason selling ice to Eskimos is hard, it’s because that don’t want or need it! We didn’t push onto homeowners new products they didn’t care for. Instead we focused on the pain of the customer. In our case it was a running toilet, a handle that needs jiggling or always backs up, ect. Through educating them on their options we guided them towards solving their pain and saving them money. There aren’t many products that pay themselves off within two years and are eco friendly.
There is another problem with selling ice to Eskimos, it wrong. Selling a HET toilet is truly a win-win-win for everyone. The customer wins by getting a new toilet that will pay itself off without having to put a ton of money up front. We win by making a sale servicing our customers, and the environment and utilities win by not putting such a strain on the system by lowing the demand for fresh water.

MAKE SMALL STEPS!
The first HET toilet we installed saved one gallon every flush, the second one about the same. It may not seem like a lot but after you have installed over 100 HET toilets that flush on average 3-5 times a day, the amount of water they save begins to compound into a very large number! Had we waited around for California or the Utilities Company to put together a program we would never have gotten started with the first step. We took the responsibility of saving water in the way we knew how upon ourselves so that we could impact our local community in a positive way with results we could track. If you go to our website www.calcoastplumbing.com you can see a live reflection of how much water we have saved in our local community through our amazing clients!

Don’t wait around, do the right thing.

Our water savings calculator is a calculation of how much we have been able to save our clients by installing water efficient products. It is a running total of water savings now that they invested in products that improve their home, lower their utility bills, and look great!

Toilets:
An average toilet in a home uses over twice as much water as a current high efficient toilet and in water savings alone usually pays itself off in two years or less! That means you get a new toilet for free after two years of use and will incur continual savings year after year! If that is not enough reason to invest in a new toilet, most water suppliers are giving away $50-$150 per toilet installed!

Shower heads and faucets:
High efficiency shower heads and faucets are some of the best investment you can EVER make in your lifetime. Many homeowners report a return of up to 640% in ONE YEAR alone!

Leaky faucet:
Do you have a dripping faucet? Check out how much you are actually loosing by clicking here and calculate your loss!

All of these and more are ways we save our customers money on their #1 investment. Their home.

Why Choose a Diamond Certified Company?

Where do you usually begin when you want to find a high quality local plumbing company? Most of us go to the Internet, the Yellow Pages, or talk to a friend. Sometimes these approaches work, ending in a satisfying customer experience. But too often you can feel your frustration because of a company’s poor performance or follow-up. With so many claims in the marketplace, it’s difficult to know which companies are actually delivering on their promises.

Diamond Certified ends the guessing game by ensuring you’ll be choosing from ONLY top-rated local companies. We believe in your right to know which local companies are performing at the highest level, and the peace of mind that comes from it.

Why Diamond Certified works for you.

They run the country’s most rigorous and accurate rating and certification process of local companies. It starts with the in-depth pass/fail rating of our company’s satisfaction, license, insurance, and business practices. Only those rated Highest in Quality earn the prestigious Diamond Certified award. Most simply can’t qualify.

But they don’t stop there. They continue to monitor our company and complete ongoing customer satisfaction research. Finally, they stand behind our ongoing rating and certification work by backing your purchase with the Diamond Certified Performance Guarantee.

We care about customer satisfaction, and we care about you. We’re proud to give you all the information you need to choose with confidence and are proud to have been Diamond Certified!

Please call us with any questions, we would love to chat!
