Summer Update!

I am sorry I haven't posted in a while! Had my hip replaced in December! Everything went well and I was doing great! My husband and I played golf on May 7th and I had a heart attack on the course! We went right to the ER! I ended up having a triple bypass and they replaced a valve! Needless to say it has been a challenge to get back to feeling myself! I am making cards again!

Here is one of my favorites cards! It is from Lori Whitlock! I bought several of her SVG files! These cards actually stand up!

This will be a short post as I need to make some more birthday cards for the month!

Spring 2026

I had fun making this Swinging Boat card for my sister's birthday! I was inspired by Karen Burniston's swinging boats cards. I used Cricut Access for everything on this card. It does actually swing too! It was a challenge to get the size right but I think it turned out OK! I forgot to take a picture of the back bur it says- GO BANANAS!

The above card was for my Golf league that I missed so much this winter.! They had their end of year

event and I was honored that they asked me to make this card!

This card was an anniversary card I made for my sister and her husband! It was made entirely from Cricut Access! I love the look of the card. I seemed to go to Cricut Access more and more for some ideas for cards.

Well, I do hope everyone had a great Easter! I was right out straight busy so I wasn't able to post anything but a picture of the cookies I made for the Cancer Center nurses. Hope you saw it! Spring is just around the corner, I think! Talk soon!

St. Patrick's Day past

I made some St Patrick's Day cookies for the cancer center my husband goes to for treatment! He is in remission and we are very grateful!

I am happy to have a little

place to donate my cookies! I get to practice decorating!

My husband and I were able to spend 10 days in Florida! The weather was wonderful! We had a great time and it was nice to have that break!!

While I was there i made some Pot o'Gold

Cauldron for my golfing group. It was such fun to be able to craft in Florida! I think i made 19!

Well, St Patrick's day has come and gone! I am looking forward to warmer weather here in Maine! Wish it would stop snowing! Hope it is warm where you are!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

It has been awhile since I made a new post. In my defensive, I had my hip replaced in December! Yesterday was my first day not using a cane! I am thrilled!

The cookies above - I made for the nurses at the Cancer Center. My husband was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma last August. We found out at Thanksgiving that he is in a deep remission! We are so thankful!

Since we had all these health issues, we decided not to go to Florida in the fall but we are planning to go in March for 10 days! We are looking forward to warm weather- I hope!

I have to confess - I have become obsessed with the birds from Target! I picked up a few at Christmas! They just make me smile! Am I the only one?

I know this is s short post but just wanted to give you an update ! I hope to be posting s little more as I become more mobile! Hope your Valentine's Day is fun!!

Last Craft Fair of the Year!

I thought we were done with Craft Fairs for this year but my sisters and I decided to do one more fair. It is at the church in Gorham and it is really a fund raiser for the church to be able to go to the Dominican Republic. It is this coming Saturday and promises to be a really fun time!

I thought I would, again, show you a few of the items we will have to sell at the fair. The Grinch,above, is one of my favorite things! I love the expression on his face!

This is a Christmas ornament in a tin! The SVG file is from My3DSvg. She has a bunch of different

designs but I love the Nativity Scene the best. It also lights up. This is a new item for us!

Have you ever done Folded Book art? This is an example of using that same fold. We did sell a

bunch of these at the last fair too! I think they are adorable!

My sister, Rochelle, did the above "Busted Frame" art! I love how it came out. These are a show

stopper!!

These are Tootsie pop holders. I think they would make great stocking stuffers. Hoping the kids might like these. They are fun to make!

Well, this is just a small part of what we plan to sell. The fun in these craft fairs is meeting all the people who stop by. Also, the vendors at the fair are so creative! We love meeting them as well!

Cross your fingers that we do well but I know we will have a great time! Happy Thanksgiving!

Getting ready!

I have been busy working on a few things for the Italian Heritage Craft Fair on Nov 1st! The above framed cardinal svg is from Craft with Sarah! Cardinals were my late mother in-law's favorite! So I had to make this to honor her!I love the colors!

The photo above is a teacup with flowers made from buttons! I want to make a few more of these- they are fun!

I wanted to make some candy holders for the fair! The Santa is an svg I got from Etsy! It opens

from the bottom.

The Snowman is also from Etsy! I hope these are popular since they are fun to make!

These deer are a little different since they open from the side! I think they are cute!!

I will end this post with my cardinal again!

My fingers are crossed hoping we have a good turnout at the fair! I will keep you posted!!

November 1st - Craft Fair 2025

Well, we are getting ready for another craft fair! This one is at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland, Maine on November 1st. We have done this craft fair for many years and we are really looking forward to this event! We did do a craft fair recently in Wells but didn't have the turnout we were hoping for- but it was still fun and we met a lot of nice people.

The pictures below show some of the projects we have been working on for the Italian Heritage Fair.

Something new for us is Jeweled Art! We took old jewelry and made scenes from

the Jewelry! It is alot of fun to do !

The items below are all lit by fairy lights! The Stars are hung on banana holders that are painted green! It looks fabulous when they are all lit up!

The Star trees have 2 sets of Fairy lights. So impressive when they are lighted up.

The Angel in the front is from the Folded Book design. Rochelle, my sister, did a fabulous job!

The Gnomes that you see below are also lighted with Fairy Lights! Each one has a different scene in their bellies!

This picture is more of a close-up of the stars!

I am really looking forward to this Craft Fair at the Italian Heritage Center. While the craft fair is

going on - Members are making FABULOUS pastries in their kitchen! The smell from the kitchen make me put on 5 lbs! People line up early to get a chance to buy some of those pastries!

All in all- it should be a well attended fun Fair!

As I mentioned in my last post- hubby and I will not be going to Florida this year. We are sad about that since we love going to North Port but it is not meant to be. It will be the first time in 8 years we have not driven to Florida for the winter. My husband's treatments are going well and we are so thankful for that. I am having hip replacement on Dec 9th. I never thought I would say this but " I CAN'T WAIT"!! It is hard to do anything when you are in pain. It can't come soon enough!

Craft Fair

We are just about ready for the Craft Fair coming up on September 6th & 7th at the Wells Junior High in Wells, Maine! I have posted a few items that my sisters and I have made! We have Halloween items as well as items for Thanksgiving. Also, many gift items since Christmas is right around the corner. I am looking forward to seeing people and spending time with my sisters. We always have such fun!

We are getting ready to say good bye to summer! I wish I could say it has been a great summer but not for my hubby and I. He is facing some serious health issues and I am facing hip replacement surgery. But we are grateful for all the blessing that we have to be thankful for - in spite of these issues. I

do love the Fall weather that will be coming soon. I think this year we will not be traveling to Florida, as we usually do. We will get to experience Winter again- we haven't done that for 8 years! It should be fun! Hope you all are healthy and hale and looking forward to the Fall.! I will post again and let you know how the craft fair went!

Project 2025

Well, we have been home about 4 weeks! The weather has finally warmed up and has been in the 80's for 3 days! Love it!

I have been working on some projects for a craft fair in September in Wells, Maine! It will be the first time we have done this event! I can't wait!

This Halloween project is from 3DCuts.com! I love this site!! The frame on this project is an embroidery hoop! Marji has more projects using hoops! You should check this site out!!

Here is a couple more pics! The switch for the lights is behind the pumpkin!

The above picture is a project titled 3D Star Tree with Snowflakes! It lights up too! The SVG is on Cricut Access but you can also find it free on Craft with Sarah.com! This is also a fabulous site! Sarah has a great tutorial too!

I am jumping around ! The framed beach scene is from 3D cuts again! It is one of my favorites! I have made it before! The tutorial makes it so easy!

birthday card my sister sent me to finish the front of the card. That birthday card was so adorable I couldn't throw it away so I took it apart and used it to make this birthday card for another sister! I think it came out great! This card also folds flat for mailing! See the site below-

Recently, I have been playing with Zentangle again! I tried it last year and got so busy I wasn't able

We recently had out Women's Golf League called DIAMONDS IN THE RUFF - signaling our end of year! I had fun making some cookies for out banquet and some boxes for our awards! It really was a fantastic year!

I am still trying to perfect my cookie decorating skills. The cookies about were done with a stencil that I made using my Cricut machine! The boxes were fill with candy and were handed out at the banquet! We had lots of fun!

I hope this post wasn't too long! But it has been awhile since I posted here. We are just about ready to move back to Maine in the next couple of days! Hard to believe - the time has gone so fast. My next post will be from Maine. I hope everyone is doing well and is looking forward to Spring as much as I am!

Happy Valentine's Day 2025

I have been busy making Valentine Treat Boxes for my Golf League! They are such a fun group! I love making something special for them! I have made these treat boxes before but love the fact that I can decorate them different every time!

I ended up making about 20 of these cuties! They hold a good amount of Hershey Kisses too!

My new thing is trying to get better at decorating cookies with Royal Icing! I have made a couple of batches for our couples league and my hubby's buddies that play on Wednesdays.

I did make a couple of mistakes! I started watching You Tube videos and I know that I cut my

icing bag way too high. I think I put too much icing in the bag too! I had icing oozing out the end even though I have an elastic on it! Frosting everywhere! But it is so much fun! These designs are wet on wet- I want to try some more designs and hopefully get better at it!!

Well, that is my update! It is beautiful here in Florida! The temps have been around 80 degrees and the outlook is for the 70's next week- which I prefer! Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

I finished making these adorable Gnome ornament candy holders for our Golf League! Each one

is filled with candy and the opening is in the back. The SVG file came from Dreaming Tree! I love

that they have instructional videos (big help) and that they are so easy to make!

This year I wanted to make a Snow Globe for our Christmas cards. I got the

SVG file from Lori Whitlock's on-line store. This card was easy to make too!

They fold up easily to be mailed! This picture shows the multi layers!

I think I made about 20 cards this year! I really enjoy sending out

Christmas cards!

The last photos show our newest Christmas decoration that we acquired this year!

We got it on sale at Home Depot! I have always wanted a Toy Soldier to put

outside our door! This one is 6 feet tall and plays over 11 different tunes! His eyes light up too!

I love that it looks like he is guarding our doorway!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Just a quick post to share the turkey favors I made for our golf league. I used Stampin Up's Curvey Keepsake die for the body. I had an svg file for the head and feathers. The body holds the candy!!

My husband does not like turkey so I made a pumpkin turkey cake. Nordic ware has a great turkey pan that I used. You put the turkey together with frosting but I used too much. The turkey head was oozing frosting so I made him a hazmat mask...hope I do better the next time I make it!!

I had to share this awesome Halloween decoration !

I bought this svg file from Dreaming Tree! I just love putting this together! My favorite is his face! I love his outfit too! Even my husband thought he was great!

He is fabulous!

I don't have any Halloween decorations here in Florida! I have hung him on my door! We are not even sure we will get trick or treaters since we aren't usually here for Halloween. We shall see how many we get!!

I guess I am in a Christmas frame of mind! This die set was purchased from Tonic Studio!!! It's called Christmas Baubles! I love making these beautiful ornaments that open up and can be used for gift boxes!! I haven't used dies in quite awhile since I love using my Cricut machine for most of my projects. But I must say it was fun using these dies from Tonic. They are very good quality dies and it is very rewarding seeing these "baubles" come to life! Of course it takes a little longer to make them but I do find papercrafting very relaxing!!

The other Christmas project I am working on is this snowflake made out of hangers! I have one done but want to make 2 more! I saw lots of these on Pinterest and had to try it! I am going to use solar fairy lights and wrap them around the snowflakes! I will post pictures once I have finished this project. Should be fun!

It is getting quite chilly back in Maine. I find it hard to relate here in Florida when the temps are in the 80s!! We are very grateful that we didn't have any damage to our property due to the hurricane! Those who weren't so lucky are in our thoughts!

What happened to Summer?

Well, Summer is over and I didn't even post once! I can't believe how fast it goes. It doesn't help that I came down with pneumonia in August. I am still trying to get rid of a cough. So that is my excuse and I am sticking with it.

Last summer we had a tree taken down in our backyard. I decided I wanted the stump to be a bottle tree.

The top picture is with the solar lights on but it wasn't quite dark. I do love how it came out.

I am still working on planting around the base of the stump. I am hoping next year it fills in more!

These are Christmas items I am working on. I bought a bunch of banana tree holders this summer. I decided I wanted to hang some lighted ornaments from them. Some of them I painted green but a few I left natural. I bought the star SVG from Etsy. I do like making them!

Do you like gnomes? I do! This one is about 10.5 inches tall. I bought this SVG from Etsy. The Company is M3D crafts. Love the mountain in the background.

Lastly, the Angel is from Dreaming Tree. I made a few of these last year. They are

really fun to make so decided to make one for this year.

Here it is lighted. It is so pretty at night.

It won't be long before we head out for our home in Florida. We are spending the next 6 months in sunny Florida... I hope. I hear there is a hurricane brewing. Should be interesting. We are leaving a

few weeks early. I will be sorry to miss fall here in Maine. The trees are so beautiful already!

Summer is coming!

Well, we have been back in Maine for about a month! It has finally warming up!! I have been busy making cards and gardening and playing golf!

The cards above were made from the SVG file from my Scrap Chick. It is her freebie for the month! I love it! Easy to make too!! It is such a cheery card- Don't you think!

I also purchased this SVG from My Scrap Chick because I love how the stars explode from the card.

It is called a Tuxedo Card and Scrap Chick has a bunch of different designs.

Just to show you I haven't been too lazy since I got home- I have been working on adding some rustic looks to my backyard. I planted succulents in the teacups I got from the thrift store.

I did paint this bike but I love all the rust that is on it and hope to add some more this season. I also think I will add another basket of flowers to the rear of the bike.

This birdcage was fun to do! I love the purple color against the black. It was a challenge since

the opening is very small to put the flowers in. But I can't wait to see how it does. That is my update since we got home. I will try and do better in posting items this summer. I think it is going to be a fun one! Take care!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Ok, it did get away from me! The time is just flying by here in Florida!

There is so much to do here! We did go to an Irish restaurant just before St. Patrick's Day! We would never go on the actual holiday! It was busy enough before the holiday- can't imagine what it would be like on the holiday! Anyway, I made some St Patrick Day goodies for our golf league this year. I got the SVG file from My Scrap Chick. I just love their designs!

This Monday I will be bringing some Easter treats! This SVG file was free from My Scrap Chick too!

I love the fact that they do provide a video that shows you how to put together the project! I did add

some stuff to the back of the box- I love the cute bunny tail! I also didn't use the dispenser since I added some wrapped candies to the box. But the dispenser is a really cute idea!

Diamonds in the Ruff is the name of our golf league. It is a fun bunch of women who love to have

a good time! We might not be the best golfers but we do know how to have fun!

Our time here is very quickly coming to an end I say that but I know that back home (Maine) just had

a big Snow and Ice storm! We won't be heading back until that is all gone! I hope!

Ask me how hard it will be to leave this beautiful place! But I do feel the pull of home. Our families are there and it is nice to be able to spend some time with them! Hope everyone is well and having a fun time crafting!

They are really easy to make and such fun!

I made them for our Women's Golf League called Diamonds in the Ruff. This group of women are so much fun! I am not the greatest golfer in the world but it doesn't matter when you play with good company. I love them all!! I think I made about 25 of them.

I did add the wording and embellishments myself. We were all bitten by the LOVE BUG!

Just to share a couple of pictures with you- the above picture is a puzzle I did

recently. Isn't it beautiful!! I think puzzles have come a long way. This was a

little more difficult since it does not have a square border. I loved it!!

This picture was taken by a friend. She takes the best pictures! I am so grateful that

she shared this with me! It gives me a sense of peace and calm. I thought I would end my

post with it to pass that feeling of serenity on to you! Hope you have a fabulous day!!

Merry Christmas

It is hard to believe that Christmas is here! My hubby and I have been cooking today for tomorrow's Christmas meal. My BIL and SIL are coming over to celebrate. It should be fun.

The stars above are an SVG that I purchase on Etsy. They are only about 6 inche tall and easy to make.

These lighted stars and round ornaments are all over Etsy. I love making them!

The Gnome Santas are from another SVG that I purchased on Etsy. I made these for my Women's Golf League. The Gnome sits on a plastic dome that holds candy. I made two sizes to see which one I liked best. They are adorable!

This is going to be a short post because I need to do a little more cooking. My hubby wants to make Porcupine Ball - which are a dessert with dates and pecans. I did want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! God Bless you all!!

Halloween is over!

Hard to believe how fast the time has gone. I haven't posted since before Halloween! We are already in Florida enjoying some pretty warm weather- in the high 80's. I know it is cold in Maine right now.!! I thought I would show some pictures of the items I made for Halloween.

She has some fabulous designs for Halloween and for fall. The pumpkins are my favorite!

I also purchase some of her Christmas ornaments. They are really easy to make! The one below has a tealight in it.

I tried using different colored card stock too!

I also tried enlarging the file to make a slightly bigger pumpkin. I really like both sizes.

I put a tea light in this one too!

This lovely shadow box is from Xuyen craft store on Esty. I purchased this file because I love how beautiful it looks with fairy lights in it. It isn't too had to make either. This seller has more files that I

may be tempted to purchase for Christmas decorations.

My sisters and I did a Christmas craft show just before we headed south. We had a great turnout and did very well. But the most fun at these events are the people that you meet. It was fun! Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner? I am thinking my next post will be centered around some Christmas projects! Talk soon!

Getting excited for Halloween!

I can't help it! I love this time of year! Now that the threat of a hurricane has passed- (it took the humidity with it )- it is time to put out the pumpkins!! It is sad to say

goodbye to summer but I do love the cooler weather!

My sisters and I have been busy making Halloween goodies. I have used mostly the SVG

files from My Scrap Chick. I just love the stuff they have over there! The Frankenstein and Dracula

Popcorn Wraps are new! I love those guys!

I have made so many of them- I find them easy to put together. I use Popcorn Secret from the Dollar Store. They are just a little smaller than the grocery store version.

I believe these Bats are from Dreaming Tree. I made the stand for them so they could stand up. I also

brushed the creases with a little silver ink.

The Dracula candy bar wraps are from My Scrap Chick too!

I am in love with making these Dome Candy bar holders. My Scrap Chick has an assortment of

SVGs for that too! I added googly eyes to this skeleton. The eyeballs in the cups are added fun!

Lastly, I used My Scrap Chick for the Spiders! I did add a mouth and some googly eyes to the

spiders as well. Usually, we have a bunch of kids come for Halloween! It should be a fun night!

Christmas In July!

I love this Christmas Angel Luminary from Dreaming Tree! I don't believe I have posted a picture of this project that I made on my Cricut. I love how you can decorate the angel anyway you want. I used a lot of glitter paper on her. You can find this svg here-

The picture above is what the Angel looks like with the lights I put inside. She is really fabulous! My sisters and I will love making these Angels.

I have been a reseller on Ebay now for a couple of years. I started out selling some things that I have had in our home that I never used or don't use anymore and discovered I loved doing that! But now, I really enjoy hunting for things that I love at Thrift Stores and Yard Sales and hope that others might love too! You can find my store on Ebay here-

We have had alot of rain here lately.... I mean alot! I read where in June we had 23 days of rain! Our plants and our lawn look fabulous but I think it is getting old. We need some more sunshine!! Hope it is shining where you are!!

Back in Maine May 2023

Where has the time gone? We arrived back in Maine the end of April. Now, it's almost Memorial Day. Wow- It's hard to believe how fast time does fly!! My niece has had a baby girl!! I had to make her a Congratulations card. So I haven't been making many cards since I got home - This was a good excuse to get back to making some cards!

I made this from an SVG file from The Dreaming Tree! There cards are really fun to make!

You even get the envelope to mail it in! Fabulous! They were having a sale so I bought a few files-When I make them I will be sure to post pictures!

This is all for now! I am off to play some golf this afternoon- even though it is a little chilly. I do

miss Florida weather for sure! I will try and post a little more often since I am now home and caught
