Callie & Diego

Happy Father's Day to my amazing dad, aka PaPa Ed. The kids are thrilled to spend the day with you. We appreciate your love and constant support even from afar.

And of course we are also wishing a Happy Father's Day to my kids super hard working dad who didn't get to travel with us this year as he's working. We miss him but send our love to him and PaPa KiKi back in sunny San Diego.

So much love in our family and it never gets old! Dads rock!!

Happy Fathers Day

I learned to sew when I was about 8 as I best recall. I can remember getting frustrated with patterns and perfection as I just wanted to wing it, which didn't always turn out well. I can remember saying, "Why would I ever need to know how to sew anyways?!"

Well today I am thankful that my mom Betti, my grandmother and my great aunt persisted and taught me to enjoy sewing. My aunt passed away just over a year ago, but I inherited her sewing machine which means so much to me. It helps carry on her memory every time I use it. Yesterday Callie needed her American girl doll clothes taken in. We buy preemie and newborn used clothes then make them fit her doll. I also had this scrap bottom of a onesie which I made into a Barbie jacket with buttons! Callie had no faith in my clever idea but loved how it turned out!

So this one is for you Aunt Charleen, I hope you are smiling down on me from up above!

We are celebrating the kids birthdays with a weekend at Disneyland. We spent time in the water park at the hotel the first day and then went to California adventure for day 2. One more day left for some fun shenanigans!!

Happy Mothers Day! My two munchkins are my world even when they are difficult at times. I would trade them for anything even though the job of a mom is not easy and never ending. It makes me appreciate my mom so much more than I ever knew before I was a mom. Only two days til my fabulous mom arrives for her next visit! Can't wait to see you.

And I'm lucky enough to have an amazing mother in law nearby who is always helpful and tended to my sick kids this week. I can't be thankful enough for my kids and all the amazing moms in my life!

Caught red handed!!! Seriously teachers somehow pull off these adorable handprint arts but it's not as easy as it looks. Also a piece of advice use washable paint! What was I thinking?!

When rain makes you cancel your Disneyland trip you just have fun with PaPa Ed at home. He kids sure don't care, they just want time with PaPa.

2017-05-02T21:04:00.002-07:00

Happy Birthday to my baby who turned 3 today! Diego chose breakfast for dinner (pancakes and bacon) and ice cream sandwiches instead of cake. But hey when you know what you like.... that and Spiderman!
Love you D man and your gentle sweet soul. Wishing you an awesome year!

Proud mommy moment!!!!

After less than a month Callie performed in her first dance recital! She was nervous when we found out she would be on stage but did fabulous. She was adorable!

Big shout out to Selah Groove Creative Arts & Enrichment Academy who made this all happen!

How about a beach party in April?! And the kids even got in the water! Living in San Diego has some serious perks.

Happy st Patrick's day from the Wild Animal Park

2017-03-18T05:06:00.000-07:00

Spent our St Patrick's Day at the Wild Animal Park feeding the butterflies 🦋 and lorikeets 🐦. Our last day with GiJu Betti was a wild one! My favorite photo is Callie being startled by the butterfly landing on her chest. I'm so glad I captured it!

2017-03-16T20:14:00.001-07:00

Time goes too fast with GiJu Betti. So thankful we get time with her so often even though she lives so far away. Enjoy your last days of warm sun before you head back to the CT snow.

Beanboozled! Who knew watching your kids eat gross stuff was so funny?

Disney

2017-03-15T20:05:00.001-07:00

Two days at Disneyland came crashing down in day 2 due to a nasty ear infection. Poor Callie 😕 But we had fun while we could!

Lesson learned use the ear plugs when swimming!

Snuggle

2017-03-06T19:53:00.001-08:00

This dog... she's only been with us a few weeks but she sure knows people. She loves and protects her kids. And she knows when they don't feel well and tries to snuggle and kiss them.

Arizona Road Trip!

2017-02-26T19:28:00.004-08:00

Our friends Tammy and Jason moved to AZ last year. We haven't visited yet but have been talking about it. So this weekend we finally made the trip out! The kids were so good in the car for the. 6.5 hour drive. Unfortunately a Juan got sick and stayed home but we didn't let that stop us. The kids have been having a blast. With good behavior in the car and fun the whole trip then we will be for sure planning a trip back soon. We head home in the morning but are so glad we got to see our friends!

Super heroes adopt

2017-02-20T07:56:00.001-08:00

Super heroes make great adoptive parents. Diego is having each super hero adopt a pet this morning. Guess we set a good example and it sure beats playing trick or treat which has been his go to pretend game for months.

Cookie!

2017-02-18T19:11:00.001-08:00

Our family decided we had a little more love to offer in our house..... Meet Cookie 🍪 ! Our newest addition! She's a rescue that had a battle with some bad dog bite wounds but she's all healed up now.

She's as sweet as can be and loves to give kisses! The kids adore her already and even Manny things she is ok.

You'll be seeing a lot more of her as we include her into our family!
