Gálatas 3:24 dice: “De manera que la ley ha sido nuestro tutor para llevarnos a Cristo, a fin de que fuéramos justificados por la fe.” Este versículo señala con precisión el propósito de la Ley y cómo esta nos conduce a la gracia salvadora de Jesucristo. La Ley no fue dada para hacernos justos, sino para revelar nuestro pecado y nuestra necesidad de un Salvador.

La Ley nunca puede llevarte a la gracia; la Ley solo puede llevarte al Mesías Jesús, el dador de la gracia.

En el Antiguo Testamento, la Ley actuaba como un maestro espiritual —un instructor que señalaba a la humanidad hacia la santidad de Dios. Hoy podemos decir que la Ley es un tutor o un guía. Cada mandamiento que quebrantamos recuerda a las personas que la obediencia perfecta era imposible. La Ley estableció el estándar de justicia que solo puede hallarse a través de Jesucristo, pero también expone nuestros pecados y deficiencias. La Ley prepara el camino para Cristo al mostrar que la salvación nunca podría provenir de las obras, sino únicamente de la fe en Jesucristo y en sus obras.

Cuando Jesús vino, ¡cumplió la Torá por completo! Mediante su muerte y resurrección, ofreció el perdón de los pecados y la libertad frente a la culpa y la condenación que la Ley conlleva. Ahora, los creyentes son justificados por la fe en Cristo, ¡y nunca por guardar la Ley! La Ley de Dios sigue teniendo valor hoy en día —nos enseña las verdades morales de Dios y revela su carácter—, pero ya no condena a quienes están en Cristo, pues ahora seguimos a Jesús como nuestro Señor.

Para cualquiera que luche contra la culpa, la presión por el desempeño o el peso del legalismo, Gálatas 3:24 ofrece una gran esperanza a través de Jesús. La Ley nos lleva a Cristo, y Cristo nos lleva a su gracia, misericordia y amor. Mientras que la Ley expone tus pecados, la gracia de Dios te cubre. Donde la Ley exige una perfección absoluta del 100 %, Cristo te otorga su justicia y su gracia.

Todos debemos arrepentirnos y acudir a Jesús para ser justificados por la fe. ¡Allí encontraremos libertad, perdón y vida eterna mediante la fe en Jesús como Mesías, Salvador y Señor de nuestras vidas!

Galatians 3:24 says, “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.” This verse precisely pinpoints the purpose of the Law and how it leads us into the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The Law was not given to make us righteous, but to reveal our sin and our need for a Savior.

The Law can never lead you to grace; the Law can only lead you Messiah Jesus, the giver of grace.

In the Old Testament, the law acted as a spiritual teacher—a schoolmaster pointing humanity toward God’s holiness. Today, we can say the Law is a tutor or babysitter. Every command we break reminds people that perfect obedience was impossible. The Law set the standard of righteousness which can only be found through Jesus Christ, but it also exposes our sins and shortcomings. The Law prepares the way for Christ by showing that salvation could never come through works, but only through faith in Jesus Christ and His works.

When Jesus came, He fulfilled Torah totally! Through His death and resurrection, He offered the forgiveness of sins and freedom from the guilat and condemnation the law brings. Now, believers are justified by faith in Christ, and never by keeping the Law! God’s Law still has value today—it teaches us God’s moral truths and reveals God’s character—but the Law no longer condemns those who are in Christ, as we now follow Jesus as our Lord.

For anyone struggling with guilt, performance, or the weight of Legalism, Galatians 3:24 offers great hope through Jesus. The Law leads us to Christ, and Christ leads us to His grace, mercy and love. Whereas the Law exposes your sins, God’s grace covers you. Where the Law demands strict 100% perfection, Christ gives you His righteousness and grace.

We must all repent and come to Jesus, to be justifed by faith. There we will find freedom, forgiveness, and eternal life through faith in Jesus as Messiah, Savior and Lord of our lives!

En Mateo 28:18–19, Jesús declaró: “Toda autoridad me ha sido dada en el cielo y en la tierra. Por tanto, vayan y hagan discípulos de todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo.” Este mandato de Cristo se conoce como la Gran Comisión y constituye el fundamento de la misión de la iglesia: hacer discípulos que sigan fielmente a Jesucristo.

El bautismo es el primer paso de obediencia en ese proceso de hacer discípulos. Cuando un creyente se bautiza, se identifica públicamente con la muerte, sepultura y resurrección de Cristo. El bautismo en la iglesia no es simplemente un ritual religioso; es un acto visible de fe y arrepentimiento, una declaración de que Jesucristo es ahora el Señor de su vida. Simboliza la muerte, la sepultura y una vida nueva, así como el hecho de que somos “resucitados con Él mediante la fe” según Colosenses 2:12.

La iglesia local desempeña un papel vital en el cumplimiento de este mandato. Cada vez que una iglesia bautiza a un nuevo creyente, da testimonio del poder del Evangelio y de la misión continua de Jesús de alcanzar al mundo. El discipulado suele comenzar en las aguas del bautismo y continúa a través de la enseñanza, el compañerismo y la obediencia a la Palabra de Dios.

El bautismo une a los creyentes en el cuerpo de Cristo y fortalece a la comunidad de la iglesia en su propósito y testimonio ante el mundo. El bautismo es un compromiso personal y una proclamación pública de la fe en Jesucristo. Al obedecer el mandato de Jesucristo de “hacer discípulos” y “bautizarlos,” la iglesia lleva a cabo la Gran Comisión con autoridad y con el amor de Cristo.

Si has confiado en Jesús como Salvador de tus pecados, debes bautizarte. Es la manera de declarar públicamente que Jesús es el Señor de tu vida. Y es un honor lleno de gozo para la iglesia acompañarte mientras cumplimos juntos la Gran Comisión de Cristo.

In Matthew 28:18–19, Jesus declared, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” This command from Christ is known as the Great Commission, and is the foundation of the church’s mission — to make disciples who follow Jesus Christ faithfully.

Baptism is the first step of obedience in that disciple-making process. When a believer is baptized, they publicly identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Church baptism is not just a religious ritual; it is a visible act of faith and repentance — a declaration that Jesus Christ is now Lord of their life. It symbolizes a death, burial, new life, and that we are “raised with Him through faith” according to Colossians 2:12.

The local church plays a vital role to fulfill this command. Every time a church baptizes a new believer, it testifies to the power of the Gospel and the ongoing mission of Jesus to reach the world. Discipleship typically begins at the waters of baptism and continues through teaching, fellowship, and in obedience to God’s Word.

Baptism unites believers into the body of Christ and strengthens the church community in its purpose and witness to the world. Baptism is a personal commitment and a public proclamation of one’s faith in Jesus Christ. By obeying the command of Jesus Christ to “make disciples” by “baptizing them,” the church carries out the Great Commission with authority and the love of Christ.

If you have trusted Jesus as Savior for your sins, you should be Baptized. It’s how you publicly declare that Jesus is the Lord of your life. And it’s the church’s joyful honor to walk with you, together fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission.

Al celebrar Estados Unidos su 250.º aniversario, recordamos cómo nuestros Padres Fundadores tenían fe en un Dios que es Creador y Juez Supremo del mundo, y cómo confiaban en la protección de la divina Providencia.

En la primera frase de la Declaración de Independencia, los Padres Fundadores declararon que nuestros derechos provienen de nuestro Creador, y no de reyes ni gobiernos. Esta convicción es una verdad evidente por sí misma que emana directamente de las Escrituras. Génesis 1:27 nos recuerda que toda vida humana ha sido creada a imagen de Dios, estableciendo así el mismo valor y la misma dignidad para todas las personas.

Al “apelar al Juez Supremo del mundo,” los fundadores hacían eco de Génesis 18:25, donde Abraham dijo: “¿Acaso el Juez de toda la tierra no hará justicia?”

Su confianza en “la protección de la divina Providencia” demostraba su creencia de que la historia está guiada por la soberanía de Dios.

El Salmo 46:1 refleja maravillosamente esa confianza: “Dios es nuestro amparo y nuestra fortaleza, nuestra ayuda segura en momentos de angustia.” Mientras estos hombres valientes afrontaban grandes riesgos al firmar la Declaración de Independencia, se sentían fortalecidos por la fe de que Dios defendería la causa de la libertad y la justicia.

Al conmemorar el 250 aniversario de Estados Unidos, no solo celebremos nuestro legado nacional, sino renovemos también nuestra dependencia del mismo Creador que guio a nuestros fundadores. La verdadera libertad comienza al reconocer a Dios como la fuente de la verdad eterna, la justicia y la vida. Sigamos orando por nuestra nación y confiando en su divina providencia para avanzar con valentía, unidad y fe.
