CAPA WEB posted the best selling lens in the second half of September 2022.  The newly announced Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama) for sony E mount wins the top 1 position, followed by Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama).

Data collection period: September 16th to 30th, 2022:

• Tamron’s super-telephoto zoom Tamron 50-400mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD wins the first position. The new model released on September 22 took the top spot with its first appearance. Tamron’s standard zoom 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 was also ranked 2nd, with Tamron’s 1st and 2nd place rankings.
• By manufacturer, Canon is the top with 4 models. Tamron followed with 3 models, Sony with 2 models, and Nikon with 1 model.
• Sony has only two models in the top 10. It is worrisome that the number is gradually decreasing, from 4 models in the last time to 3 models in the previous time, and 2 models this time.
• Canon significantly increased the number of top 10 models from the previous two models to four models. On the other hand, Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S replaced the “NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S which ranked 9th last time. Telephoto zooms are still popular.

The No. 1 Tamron 50-400mm F/4.5-6.3 is a lens with specs like no other, covering from the standard range to the super-telephoto range. There was a time when Canon did not rank at all after the price increase, but recently it seems to have revived. Sony has only two models in the ranking, but in terms of mounts, E-mount has the most models with five models. Nikon has only one model in the list, but this may be unavoidable because many of the popular lenses are backordered for a long time immediately after the release.

This is the first image of the upcoming Sony a7R V, leaked at PR.

It looks like an unverified image, so it may be a fake, but if the image is real, the mode dial has moved to the left shoulder for the first time, and it will be a big change in the layout of the operation unit.

From the image, like Sony a7 IV, the recording button is placed on the top, and there are screw holes on the left and right sides of the viewfinder? There seems to be something like the exposure compensation dial has changed to a customizable electronic dial without printing on Sony a7 IV, but it seems that Sony a7R V in the image uses the conventional one.

Two new Sony cameras are coming! According to the SAR, Sony will soon announce two new cameras: one is Sony ZV entry-level model and the other may be Sony a7R V.

Two credible sources have confirmed that Sony will announce a new product on October 12th. This new product is a new fixed lens ZV series camera. However, this camera is not a successor to the current ZV-1, but a new entry-level model that is cheaper than the current Sony ZV-1.

And if ZV isn’t the product you wanted, don’t worry. Another new product launch for Sony a7R V announcement will be held on October 26th!

The new ZV was previously rumored to be announced in early October, but it seems that the announcement date has been confirmed on October 12th. The new camera seems to be a low-priced derivative model, not a successor to the ZV-1, but we are wondering what part will be different from the ZV-1. We are also curious about how much the price will drop from the current ZV-1.

According to the latest rumors from NR, the next Nikon Z 35mm lens will be F1.2!

It seems that Nikon’s new 35mm has been confirmed to have a aperture of f/1.2, but Sigma has already released a 35mm F1.2 DG DN Art, and it is said that Canon  RF 35mm will also have an F1.2 lens. So we wouldn’t be surprised if Nikon announces a 35mm with f/1.2 lens. However, as far as the figure is concerned, there is only an f1.2 lens, and it seems to be a fairly large lens for 35mm.

Last year, Nikon announced the new Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm F1.2 S lens (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama).

CAPA CAMERA WEB posted the best selling products of Yodobashi Camera’s interchangeable lens digital cameras in the second half of September 2022.  Sony a7 IV (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama) still wins the top 1 position, followed by Canon EOS R5 Body (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama).

Data collection period: September 16th to September 30th, 2022

The Sony a7 IV body has maintained its first place this time as well. It has held the top spot for 10 consecutive terms, showing a strength that does not make you feel the decline in popularity.

The 2nd place remains the Canon  EOS R5 , but the 3rd place “EOS R3” last time and the 8th place “EOS R7/RF-S18-150 IS STM Lens Kit” both disappeared from the rankings.

The 6th place is Nikon Z 9 . It is the first time in a month since the second half of August that it has returned to the top 10. Nikon has few models in the top 10 these days.

The a7 IV has finally achieved V10, and this camera is unbeatable at Yodobashi. This time, Sony has regained the top spot from Canon in terms of the number of rankings by manufacturer.

It’s amazing that Nikon, an expensive professional camera, has entered the rankings, but we would like to see a popular mid-range camera as well.

Nikon Z6 III is coming! According to the latest rumors from DCW, Nikon Z6 III is rumored to be officially announced in 2023.

Here are the key specs of Nikon Z6 III:

The upgrades over the original Z6 were obvious ones – and, arguably, necessary ones, given that the Z6 II and Nikon Z7 II were both the only choice for professional photographers until Nikon Z9 launched. 

The Nikon Z6 III upgrades, though, may be a bit more incremental. It seems logical to replace the twin Expeed 6 processors with a single Expeed 7, for instance, though that’s hardly going to entice consumers to buy a new camera.

It’s possible that we might see a slight bump to the sensor, in order to further distinguish the camera from the Nikon Z5 – which, as a full frame camera with a 24.3MP sensor and two memory cards, treads treacherously close to the Z6 II’s specs and USPs.

So perhaps we’ll see a slightly higher resolution or stacked sensor introduced to the Z6 III, to make it either a richer-pixel proposition or to double down on the current 14fps shooting speed.

The most obvious – and necessary – upgrade we foresee is the addition of a fully articulating screen. Given that Nikon has been repeatedly reticent to depart from tilt screens – even on the flagship Z9 – having the Nikon Z6 III as the only full frame mirrorless camera with an articulating screen would give it a much-coveted selling point, especially for video shooters.

Video is another area where serious in-roads could be made, which would enable Nikon to make this the video-oriented model in the full frame Z ecosystem. The addition of 4K 60p is a no-brainer, and if it can at least achieve parity with the Canon EOS R6 , it would make the Z6 III a compelling alternative.
