Group Exam classes for only exam candidates are required for ALL students, as noted in yearly info sheet to help with corrections noted during Mock Exams.

A Syllabus home practice booklet is provided at no cost to each of our Academy’s students in Grade classes as our gift to insure the best standard and success is met by each student. All students are required to do home practice and the booklets have all the information needed to complete this task. For the parent’s benefit the notes include the quality of expression and movement needed along with technical hints to insure safe practice and execution of the work.
Reaching for Excellence
To reach for excellence home practice is needed as it strengthens the achievements and improvements for all students. The goal for dancers is to share the beauty and emotions of their work and interpretation of the music through performance with audiences, making the hours of hard work to achieve the effortless quality while performing rewarding to both the dancer and audience. We are proud of these extra efforts that the students give to their work and applaud their efforts. We look forward to seeing their work in our Mock exam performance practices. Remember to clean ballet shoes with leather cleaner, ensure the leotard is in very good condition with its belt and purchase new tights and socks now in preparation for the Mock exams.
Mock Examination Practices for candidates will be held at the studio on Saturday Mar 6 & 27 Pre-Primary 3:30-4:30, Primary 4:30-5:30, Grade 1 5:30-6:30 and Grade 2 6:30-7:30. The pianist is Mr. Brian Butcher. All candidates must arrive early in preparation for the scheduled times and full Exam dress requirements and hairstyles are expected.
Mock Examination Practices for candidates for Grade 3-4-5 will be held at the studio on Sunday Mar 7 & 28 times Grade 3 9:30-10:45, Grade 4 10:45-12:00 Grade 5 Wed students 12:30-1:45 and Grade 5 Sat students 1:45-3:00. The pianist is Mrs. Terri Driedger. All candidates must arrive early in preparation for the scheduled times and full Exam dress requirements and hairstyles are expected.
Mock sheets with the assessment of the Mock performances will be given to the students to use at home and in the studio. Please bring these assessment sheets to the studio for each class after the Mocks.

In January we begin to accept information on new student registrations for our Wait list in our Ballet program including Lyrical 2010-2011 season. Call the office at 604-530-2106 or email us for further information.
The registration fee for the 2010-2011 season is $25.00 per family (cash or cheque).
Registration for all new students will commence after the Academy’s internal registration on Saturday May 1st. We welcome new students for any available openings. Parents on our wait list are invited to our Registration day to fill out the Application for enrollment forms that saves a placement spot. Placement for new students is completed through an audition appointment except for the Baby Ballerina and Danseur 1 levels. Friday May 28 3:30 – 10:00 Dress Rehearsal in blocks of times Saturday May 29 1:00 Matinee Performance Saturday May 29 6:30 Evening Performance Students must be in attendance for all rehearsal classes and performances. Please do not book holidays during the choreography sessions from April to May.
