Before that u will undergo a traning for the first six months and you will get 15000/month only.

The company has 4 rounds that u have to face as:
1.Aptitude
2.GD
3.Tech. Interview
4.HR Interview

Frankly telling u all first 3 are the elimination rounds and final interview is just a formality.
Aptitude had 3 sections as quants, english and tech. totally 60 ques in 1hr.
For quants dont worry R.S. Aggarwal is enough mainly ratio & prop., average, work time, time distance, probability, volume, area, boats and streams, errors etc are the main topics. Totally 30 ques in quants.

In the english simple ques are there as fill in the blanks, errors in the sentences, arrangemnt of sentences, antonyms and synonyms. They are easy if u are a regular reader of newspapers. This section had 20ques.

In tech basic concepts of C/C++ and output of programs are asked. There are 10ques in this section.

I got 47 out of 60. There is no negative marking so attempt all the ques.

Next round is the GD, after apti only 180 cleared for this round. They divided us in the batches of 10 students. They had the usual GD topics as Impact of movies on youth in india, Metro Vs. Non-metro cities, Hollywood Vs. Bollywood, Mobile phones in collg should be banned or not, MNCs in india, GD should be conducted or not, etc...After this round only 62 cleared.

Now the next round is Tech interview it is bit easy for the non CS and IT students as they only ask the concepts of C/C++ and any other subjects if u specify. For CS and IT they ask on JAVA,Linked List,SQL,DBMS,RDBMS,Data Structures etc... I belong to ECE so I had a little advantage here as I had ques from C only and I had given other subjects as microprocessors and digital electronics. So he screwed me on microprocessors a lot. But one gud thing is that they were asking only the basics not too deep. So if u have a little idea then u can easily go through this round. After this round only 35 wer selected for the final interview. I had faced the interview for almost 35mins. but he was really very friendly. All the panels were friendly as my frnds told me. So dont worry just brush up your concepts and you can make through. If you are not specifying any subjects of interest then he wil ask ur core subjects so better specify some subject of ur interest and at which you find urself easy. Otherwise if he asks you the core subjects then pray to god and ask for mercy.

If u are in final HR round then its just a cakewalk for you. They asked simple and all the general HR ques. He was also a cool person. I had my interview this time for almost 10mins. If he selects you there then at that time only he will tel u all the terms and conditions of the company and if you want to join then u have to sign a letter that you have accepted the offer. Within 10min after this if u sign they will give u the offer letter. Finally 32 made it. You all must be thinking that were 3 students went as this is not a elemination round? Well one of them didnt signed the letter in the HR interview i dont knw why. Rest of the two were not selected as they were not well groomed means that u should be in gud and smart formal dress and be shaved dnt come with beared.

One last thing I will like to tel all of you that the company has a bond of 2yrs but you are required to sign it at the time of joining dnt think that wat u had signed in the HR was the bond it was just a letter that you have "ACCEPTED THE OFFER", so dont worry that u are trapped in the company frm that moment only.
Well to conclude now iam really happy that iam selected and also iam the first to give its paper on the net. Its a good company to work with and has a good growth rate as it has started in India only in 2005 and in two years they have totally 3 officies in 2 cities. Two officies are in Chennai and they are planing to have the third one also in Chennai. So presently they have almost 1000 employees in India just in 2 yrs.

If u cant make through then just dont loose heart and try again and again till u get success. I wish that all of you a very best of luck. One last thing dont forget that "EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY" so one day it will be yours too.
Hope that this will help you...

Exclusively for Campus/Off-campus

So what if you are not a mountaineer. Or a keen hiker. You still cannot treat your interview like a careless morning trot along a jogger's path. Your jaw-jaw at the interview table is nothing less than a cautious climb up a mountain trail--which begins around your early childhood and meanders through the years at the academia before reaching a new summit in your career. And as you retrace your steps down memory lane make sure that you post flags at important landmarks of your life and career, so that you can pop them before the interview panel scoops them out of you. You don't want to be at the receiving end, do you?

Face the panel, but don't fall of the chair in a headlong rush-and-skid attempt to tell your story. Take one step at a time. Here are a few preparation tips from the Team of that books on interviews sometimes overlook. Remember, as a fresher you do not have anything to loose but to gain.

TYPICAL QUESTIONS THAT AN INTERVIEWER WOULD ASK

1.Tell me about yourself
The most often asked question in interviews. You need to have a short statement prepared in your mind. Be careful that it does not sound rehearsed. Limit it to work/Study-related items unless instructed otherwise. Talk about things you have done well at your college and how you wanted to perform in the first job.

2. Why Should We Employ You?
For this question, your answer should list out strengths that you feel are relevant to the job. Given below are some answers which could help you with your answers. However, structure them to suit your requirements.

I have good co-ordination skills
Good analytical skills
I can persuade people to see my point of view, and get the work done
My greatest asset is my ability to motivate people
Even during emergencies, I do not loose my cool
I have good entrepreneurial skills
I have consistently met my deadlines and targets
Can say “no” to people when required to do so!
I am very co-operative with my sub-ordinates, and would like to see them grow
I am a good team player
I am very flexible, and have the ability to work hard under difficult work conditions
I have the experience and knowledge relevant to this job (Here, give appropriate details and examples)

3. Do You Have Offers From Other Companies ?
This is of course a difficult question to answer. Obviously, you must have applied to other companies if you are looking for a job or would have some offers from other companies already. Therefore, do not lie that you have not. However, you are on thin ice here! The interviewer could be checking your honesty. On the other hand, he/she may also be trying to find out how focused you are - are you applying randomly, or is there a well-planned strategy?
Whatever your answer, it should match your career goals.

4. What Salary Are You Expecting?
Try not to get into salary details early in the interview. If pressed, you could say that it all depends on the job, and would like to talk about it after a job offer. Say this in a convincing tone. In case you are asked this question in your latter interviews, give a direct answer. Do not sound apologetic while quoting the figure you have in mind.

SALARY EXPECTATIONS :

1. How much do you expect?
If you have done your homework, you would know how much other people in similar jobs are paid. Quote the range upfront.

2. How much do you think you are worth?
Work out how much you should be paid, given the market value of the job and your skills. If you can bring some extra skills to the table, do not hesitate to ask for more than the market value.

3. What kind of a culture are you comfortable with?
It is better to be frank about your preferences. Your interviewer will get a clear idea about your expectations.

4. Which is more important to you-salary, perks or growth opportunities?
This one will reveal the real you. So be sure what you are going to say. Above all, be true to yourself. If you think this is a negotiation move, then say clearly that you will never sell yourself short.

5. What do you know about our company?
Do not give your opinions about the company. Stick to reported facts that you have gathered from newspapers and so on. Talk about the product portfolio, size, income, and market perceptions of the company. Also it is better to refer details about each company before going for the interview.

6. Why should we choose you over someone else?
Talk clearly about problems that you have solved in your College/Project Team and highlight the quality required.

6. Your qualifications are excellent, but you may be overqualified for the position we have to offer?
Point out that more experience can never be a drawback. If you are multi-skilled, then highlight the fact that a company on the fast-track needs multi-skilled people. It needs people within different departments to work together. Also emphasise that the company's future growth will be an exponential function of your experience.

QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD ASK :

Interviewers usually round off by giving you an opportunity to ask questions. Treat it like a welcome opportunity.
You could ask questions like.
a) Tell me about your company.
b) Now that I have outlined my career goals, do you think you can offer me the opportunities I need?
c) What kind of training and learning can I expect in your company?
d) Describe the work culture and the management style of your company?
e) What is the long-term vision of your company?

As a fresher, current position and status can impact the way you are interviewed. Fresh Out of College

The basis on which you will be judged is your academic background, family background, and interests.
If looking for your first job, ensure that your previous experience, even if it is part-time, is noticed.
Mention projects or responsibilities you may have undertaken. This will indicate your area of aptitude.
You should be willing to put in regular hours, in line with the company's policies. The interviewer needs to know whether you can be punctual and put in full-time work.
In case you have applied for the post of management trainee, you should display an ability to adapt, and indicate all-round interests. Moreover, you should have good interpersonal skills.
You should be enthusiastic to learn, and show commitment towards the organization, as the company will be spending a lot on your training.

Bring with you :
a) Copies of your resumes
b) References and letters of recommendations.

First Impressions :
There is a common saying that minds are made up within the first 5 minutes of an interview. So keep in mind these important first impression indicators. Walk in the door as if you already work there, carry yourself as though you feel perfectly comfortable with the situation. Arrive on time or a little early. In the waiting area, politely tell the receptionist who you are meeting and in a friendly way, ask where you should sit. Take slow, deep breaths to help you remain calm and focused. When introduced to the interviewer, have a firm, but not painful, handshake. Smile. Have good posture when sitting or standing. Introduce yourself in a relaxed, confident manner. Have a well-groomed, professional appearance. Project a feeling of confidence. Bring extra copies of your resume, some thing to write on and something to write with.

materiali in .net

Introduction

By now you have most likely heard of Microsofts .NET Initiative. But what is .NET, really? Next time you are at a cocktail party and someone asks you that question, just say, "Its 1 part marketing, 1 part paradigm-shift, and 3 parts cool new products!" If they press you for details, tell them to go read the rest of this article.
Marketing and Paradigm Shifts

Microsoft will be releasing .NET versions of existing products as part of its .NET Initiative. Of course a next version of these products would have existed with or without the .NET Initiative. I have heard some folks suggest that this makes .NET nothing more than marketing. I understand where they are coming from, and I disagree.

First, an important part of Microsofts .NET Initiative is a new and exciting platform called The .NET Frameworks, which I will be discussing shortly. Second, Microsoft has re-focused across its various product groups to address software development in an interconnected world. Lets talk about this for a moment.

Microsoft creates software. This is what they are all about. For over a decade now, the Internet has been changing the software industry right out from under them (and many of the rest of us!) This is an unstoppable paradigm-shift that has the power to make or break even a goliath software company. And Microsoft has decided that they are going to address the Internet, head-on, from every nook and cranny of their company. So began the .NET Initiative.

Before we jump headlong into the .NET Initiative, lets review how the software industry is changing. Here is my take on the current thinking.
Software and the Internet

The purpose of computers is to manage information. The nature of the information varies a lot from application to application, but at the core it is still all about information. In recent years, the Internet has largely convinced the general public that computers, indeed, have the potential to simplify their lives in terms of information management. As a result the consumers expectation of the Internet and technology in general has taken a huge leap!

People need to create information easily. They need to move, share, and organize information flexibly. They need to know what is going on, find the latest price, and get to their movie on time. People have stopped being impressed merely by the fact that computers work at all. They now want computers to tell them where they can get a New York steak in a semi-romantic setting within five miles at 7:30 tonight; "OK, now make a reservation for two." They want their shipping information to be remembered from one web site to the next. And each web site should be personalized to individual tastes as well. All of these "needs" are about the organization and communication of information. By the way, most of this information already exists without computers or the Internet (such as which restaurants have available tables, or the fact that a customer wants to make reservations), but customers increasingly expect technology to move and react to this information naturally.

For all of this to happen, somebody somewhere has to write software. But this isnt the software that you pick-up off the shelf and install on the computer. Half of the software required to implement all of this doesnt even run on the consumers computer. This is called software as a service. Remember this term.

People will pay to be served. And if your companys service deals with information or communication, then you need software as a service to serve your customer effectively. People also want these services to come from thousands of vendors, not just one. This will improve both the quality and the price of whatever it is they are buying. Additionally many of these services will have to work together seamlessly no matter who implemented them. Suddenly, the demands on the average software developer are getting pretty steep!

Before talking solutions, I want to describe a specific scenario. Imagine that you are a realtor and you want to create a website that your client can use to keep track of their home buying or selling process. I have seen real estate sights that offer some nice features such as up-to-date listings, mortgage calculators, and the like. Now imagine that you want to integrate some more advanced features such as real-time loan-approval status, or escrow status. Suddenly the computer that runs your website has to communicate information with computers from the escrow company and the bank. This isnt an impossible problem to solve, but it gets tougher when you consider that the customer wants to choose from a selection of escrow companies and you dont want to lose their business just because you dont support a particular escrow companys data-protocol.

Tough problems like these have been solved in the past by defining standards. Standards are great, but they carry with them the burden of meeting everyones needs. This often makes their creation slow, and their implementations tedious. If you were this realtor, what you really want are a few general-purpose standards and a development platform robust and simple enough to meet your agile business needs. Imagine that it only took your web-developer a half-day to understand and incorporate a new escrow companys data interface and another half-day to test it. All of the communication details just worked. And your developer did the whole thing without once picking up the phone and calling a developer from the escrow company. Now you are in business!

This is Microsofts .NET Initiative. And in reality .NET is just the cherry on the tree that is an entire industry swaying in this direction. Standard protocols like SOAP will make data exchange so simple that your software will be able to keep up with your business. Simple data standards like XML will expose your businesses information to anyone who needs to consume it and vice-versa. Finally, the platform that brings these features to developers in a simple, consistent, reliable, and scalable fashion will be a major contender for the foreseeable future. This platform is The Microsoft .NET Frameworks.
The .NET Frameworks

Did I just call The .NET Frameworks a "platform"? Did I mean development platform, or did I mean operating system? Well, the answer to these questions are "Yes I did", and "Both". So let me begin to describe The .NET Frameworks.

At the core of The .NET Frameworks is a component called the Common Language Runtime or CLR which is a lot like an operating system that runs within the context of another operating system (such as Windows ME or Windows 2000). This is not a new idea. It shares traits in common with the Java Virtual Machine, as well as the environments of many interpreted languages such as BASIC and LISP which have been around for decades. The purpose of a middleware platform like the CLR is simply that a common OS like Windows is often too close to the hardware of a machine to retain the flexibility or agility required by software targeted for business on the Internet. Software running on the CLR (referred to as Managed Code) is exceptionally agile!

Unlike interpreted languages managed code runs in the native machine language of the system on which it is launched. In short, developers write code in any of a number of languages. The compiler generates binary executable software in a p-code format called Common Intermediate Language or CIL for short. When the software is launched, the CLR re-compiles or JIT-compiles (Just In Time) the CIL into native code such as x86 machine language. Then the code is executed full speed ahead. Again, p-code technology is not a new idea (Pascal p-code compilers have existed since the mid-seventies). But as you will see the .NET Frameworks stitches together these tried-and-true ideas in some very exciting new ways.

Another component of The .NET Frameworks is a massive library of reusable object-types called the Frameworks Class Library or FCL. The FCL contains hundreds of classes to perform tasks ranging from the mundane, such as file reads and writes, to the exotic, such as advanced cryptography and web services. Using the FCL you get software as a service with trivial development costs.

The CLR is intrinsically object-oriented; even its CIL (the p-code, which can be viewed as a virtual assembly language) has instructions to manipulate objects directly. The Frameworks Class Library reflects the platforms object-oriented nature. In fact the FCL is the most extensive and extendible class library I have ever worked with. I can tell you from personal experience that my end-to-end productivity has tripled since I have begun writing code targeted for the CLR.

Finally, The .NET Frameworks contains a collection of tools and compilers that help to make programming to this new environment productive and enjoyable. Up until now I have made little mention of C# (pronounced See-Sharp) or Visual Basic.NET. The reason is that the real guts of this new environment is the CLR. However, over twenty language compilers are currently being designed for the .NET Frameworks, including five offerings from Microsoft: Visual Basic, C#, C++, JavaScript and CIL.

The CLR and the .NET Frameworks in general, however, are designed in such a way that code written in one language can not only seamlessly be used by another language, but it can also be naturally extended by code written in another programming language. This means that (depending on the needs of a projects work-force) developers will be able to write code in the language with which they are most comfortable, and continue to equally reap all the rewards of the .NET environment as well as the efforts of their coworkers!
Productivity.NET

I have described the requirements of the future; that is fast-paced and flexible software as a service. I have briefly described the .NET Frameworks. Now it is time for me to share some real-life specifics that translate to unparalleled productivity for developers.

Developers are comfortable with calling functions. Developers are also comfortable (or can quickly become comfortable) with using "objects" in their software. These things take little time and effort by comparison to difficult tasks such as memory management and network programming. So the .NET Frameworks is designed from the ground-up to make the difficult tasks either automatic (such as memory management) or to expose them as objects and function calls. Lets look at an example.

The real-estate example I described earlier in this article requires network communication with a third party to work at all. Lets go back to this example, and assume that the "Acme Escrow Company" is on the cutting edge of technology, and exposes its business data via software as a service. (Remember, you are a realtor developing a website that potentially includes information from various escrow companies.) Here is the .NET code (written in C#) that your web-developer will need to write to retrieve status data from Acme.
<link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' Used as a database

Let us go into detail on how these delimited files are used in both of the cases above:
Data Import into a Database

In a DBMS/RDBMS we create databases and tables. In a huge database with millions of records, in order to transfer data from one database to another or to transport a database from one location to another, data is normally exported into a text file. When we try to export data to a text file, the system will ask for a delimiter to be used. When we specify the delimiter, the data stored in the fields will be appended with the delimiter. When importing the data back to the database, the system will ask for the delimiter, and based on the specified delimiter, the data will be imported back into the database.
Used as a Database

In certain environments, where there is no database support, delimited text files are used as a replacement. With limited functionality, data is read directly from the delimited text file into arrays and then manipulated. Usually these types of delimited text files are used in web app where hiring database support along with hosting can be a costly affair. In order to emulate a database, these delimited text files are used.

We have seen what a delimited text file is, as well as the important usage and applications these delimited text files can be used for.

We will now move on to see how to read these delimited text files using ASP.Net and VB.Net.

Delimiters are sometimes referred to as splitters.

ASP.NET1

New to .NET? Wondering how to split contents using a delimiter?

The following article will detail how to read a delimited text file using ASP.Net or VB.Net, which will explain various aspects of a delimited file, code explanation and source code.

We must be aware of importing data into a database. Data which is used for importing is normally in the form of a text file. These files are also called comma separated value files, which will normally have a .csv extension.

In either case, whether it’s a text file or a .csv file, all the values are delimited using a character. To make this possible and probably easier, the System.Data.OleDb namespace provides the OleDbCommand class.class is used to create commands or actions to be performed on the database. To use these classes, besides including this namespace in the file where needed, you should also import the System.Data.OleDb.dll library in your project.

Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Dim oleConn As System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection
oleConn = New System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection
End Sub

If you are planning to access the connection from more than one event or method, you should declare it at the class level. Here is an example:

Dim oleConn As System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection

Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
oleConn = New System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection
End Sub

As opposed to using the default constructor, to establish a connection, you can use the other constructor of the class. Its syntax is:

Public Sub New(ByVal connectionString As String)

The argument to this constructor is a string that specifies how the connection would be established.
