The three levels of ball exist to try and provide an appropriate level of ball for all who wish to participate. I will try to provide a synopsis of them. The Local level teams play games once or twice during the week in leagues that include near by towns, such as Round Hill, Bawlf, Edberg, Killam, Heisler, etc. At this level we strive to find the closest leagues or divisions to Camrose, geographically. Historically we have been able to field teams in Rookie, Mosquito, Pee Wee, and most years Bantam age groups. Occassionally we have fielded Local Midget teams. These leagues typically operate in the months of May and June. They are focused on giving anyone who wants to play that opportunity. Typically no other fees beyond your registrations are associated with playing on a Local team. Uniforms and pants are provided for these teams.

The Camrose Cougars are our teams in the Baseball Alberta Competitive League. Previously know as Provincial or Representative teams. The objective of the Provincial Competitive League is to provide a competitive yet developmental level of play for players/teams at the Mosquito, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget age categories in a Province-wide format. Provincial Competitive Leagues will operate on a 3-round seeding basis, with teams playing in a Regional format in May, a North/South Divisional format in June and a Provincial Tier format in July. Typically teams play 3-4 games per weekend and practice twice a week. Baseball Alberta will schedule two weekends per month as play weekends. Most teams will enter tournaments or organize exhibition play for one or both of the other weekends. Players for these teams are selected by the Coaches or a Coach appointed selection committee. There are costs associated with playing at this level that are above your registration with Camrose Minor Ball Association. These fees can vary from team to team as each team may endeavor to engage in different tournaments and team building activities. The Competitive level of ball is a great place for those wanting play more ball and have either or both skill and a passion for the game. Historically we have been able to field teams and each age category.
Camrose Minor Ball endeavors to add COMMUNITY DIVISION baseball to the available options for our athletes starting in 2011. The objective of the Provincial Community Baseball League is to provide a longer season of baseball for community level teams and players, allowing them to continue to play baseball through the month of July with a Community Provincial Championship at Mosquito, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget age categories (based on registration). These teams would be created from those interested that are playing in on our Local League teams. If there is more interested players than roster spots allow, a try out process will be put in place.
