Map of Samal and other Islands

Until now its still fresh in my memory the beauty of Pearl Farm. It makes me so hyped up to pack my things and visit there again and again and again. SERIOUSLY!!!! I am even thinking living there for the whole summer. Just to relax and unwind. That would be PERFECT!

If you are on a budget like us, you have an option just to pay for their day tour. It cost us Php1,800 per person ($25.00 est) which includes welcome drink and lunch buffet. Pearl Farm is in Samal Island so better be there early to catch the first trip. Boat ride takes about 30-45min depends which month you are visiting but the best months is March to April since its our summer time. Pearl Farm has a nice receiving area / waiting area that you can't feel anything except excitement.

Pearl Farm such a beauty

When we arrived in the Island they welcomed us with refreshments and gave us an orientation about different activities they offer and etc. But us, this what happened

1. We sun bath first, swim a little and ask how much if we wanted to go snorkeling, jet-skiing and visit other Island.

Buffet Area - Pearl Farm

2. After we got our little tan and know some details, what to do. We went ahead and ate lunch.
3. We sun bath again.
4. Visited Malipano Island (You can always go there for free, just check the boat times and they will be happy to bring you to Malipano Island and back to Pearl Farm again. It's just 10min or less away. As Malipano Island is just adjacent to Pearl Farm.
5. Stayed in Malipano Island for an hour I guess explored the place and sun bath again.
6. Here is the catch!!! We decided to be back again the next day. Hahaha! Na unsa man dia tah oi!!! Kay lami man guiod sa Pearl farm - What happened to us!!! Because it's really beautiful in Pearl Farm!!!!

Malipano Island

Next Day

At diving Shop with Pearl Farm People

We paid for snorkeling and jet ski :) Let's just say I don't want to remember how much money we spent but it was all worth it!!!

You must visit soon. This is just the Preview of Davao's beauty. I'll blog more when me and my friends went food trip in the city.

Kisses!!!

Coleman's Fish Market

2012-02-23T06:47:00.000-08:00

One day we decided to explore Wheeling area. Those were the days that we were like - what are we doing here inside the house? why are we sitting here? we are not old!!! as soon as my hubby said the word old we got up on our seat and hurried to get our butt in the car. LOL.

I started searching online where we can go around Wheeling area, we know that we are hungry so we decided to look for must try food. I used YELP app in my iphone and I pull up Coleman's Fish Market. The reviews was really shining with four stars and plus my hubby loves seafood. We decided to drive there and we are just right on time, as soon as we placed our order whew! the QUEUE seems like will take forever but honestly I applaud them for their systematic way on how you will place your order and it is really fast.

The Food. We had their special - Coleman something (I forgot what exactly they called it) together with it is fries and I decided to order clam chowder soup. I asked hubby how he thinks about the food. He said he likes it. I can't agree with him because I didn't like it. I am not a fan. It is lacking of something. Maybe I am just used to eating real fresh seafood that's why I am kinda disappointed. What I am saying is that it is not that great but it is decent. But we both agreed that the clam chowder soup was really delicious. That makes my whole meal fab! and fries too!!!

We'll still visit as my hubby likes it and I'll definitely try different from their menu but for sure it should be with fries and clam chowder soup. :)

The best part of our Wheeling exploration is that... we left our car in the Centre Market and walked around downtown in a cold sunny day. It's so perfect! I'll share more soon...

Double Decker Tours - Washington, DC. (Hop On, Hop Off)

2011-10-26T06:12:00.000-07:00

I really didn't expect that it will be that humid in DC. Geez! Because usually in the movies that I watched its always super cold and I didn't expect their summer to be like Manila. I thought its like San Diego ... sunny but cold breeze.

Anyway, we tried the hop on, hop off tours which will take you to different tourist spots. The ticket that we bought is valid for one day and it will take us on four routes - THE GRAND TOUR, ARLINGTON TOUR, the UPTOWN TOUR (key hotels) and NIGHT TOUR Your ticket is valid for one day. In our case we started our tour late afternoon which means we can still continue our tour the next day. The bus has specific bus stop where you can get off and ride again. The waiting time is every 5minutes but if weekends 15minutes because most of the time the bus is full. It will be standing ovation.

My favorite stops .... next blog :> xoxo

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

2011-10-26T05:50:00.000-07:00

MY FIRST MEATLOAF - FINISH PRODUCT

One day, I really I don't know what to do with all my ground beefs in my fridge. Let's just say I ran out of idea whatelse to do aside from meatballs, hamburgers, taco dip, spaghetti meat sauce and etc. You know what I mean?

Anyway, I decided to google simple recipe for ground beef and I found a recipe from http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Brown-Sugar-Meatloaf/Detail.aspx and I read great reviews about the recipe she posted; saw the ingredients and I thought I'll give it a try since hubby really loves meatloaf.

As you know, that was my first time to cook meatloaf and my husband who rarely gives compliments said he really loved it!!!

By the way, I made some changes to the recipe. Here's my twisted recipe:-

Ingredients

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup *Instead of ketchup I use Bull's eye orginal barbecue
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
3/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 small onion, chopped *I use my NINJA FOOD PROCESSOR instead for thin slices
~~1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (my meatloaf don't have this one. Because I don't have ginger hehehe)~~
3/4 cup finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs -*I use Zesta Saltline Cracker & crushed it using my NINJA FOOD PROCESSOR / BLENDER.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
Press the brown sugar in the bottom of the prepared loaf pan and spread the ketchup over the sugar. * Instead I put the sugar on top of my meatloaf then cover it with barbecue sauce. So I proceed first to #3.
In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly all remaining ingredients and shape into a loaf.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until juices are clear.

Have fun COOKING and creating your own. Thanks to the one who shared this recipe.

Master Cuts in Pittsburgh (the Mall at Robinsons)

2011-10-14T09:21:00.000-07:00

~~NEVER TRY THEIR SERVICE (THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO OFFER BUT ANGER)~~

I got my hair cut yesterday and for 27 years of my life this is the first time I left the Salon feeling so Ugly and really ticked off!!!! I should have followed my guts to walk out from that salon the moment I interact with their receptionist. She just asked for my name & after she wrote it, she just said she'll be here in a minute not even looking in my eye then she did her own thing. I was standing their in the receiving area for one or two minutes already she didn't even told me that they have waiting area!!! RUDE!!! their waiting area that you won't be able to see anymore because of those hair products that they are selling!!! Urghh!!! I get so teary in anger when I remember this!!!

And the next thing I know... She will be the one to cut my hair!!! I paid $16.98 for the hair cut & I didn't know that literally they will just cut your hair without washing it!!! DANG!!! Their Marketing is so pathetic & stupid!!! Or she should have asked me if I want additional services so that I'll experience full customer service satisfaction!!!! But she doesn't care!!!! She even bad mouth their clients to her collegue in front of us!!!

HORRIBLE!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!! The only thing I am so thankful that I just let her trim my long hair & didn't trust her to style my hair!!! She just trim it which my mom can do for me!!! I even told her that it is already heavy & as a hairdresser she should know that she needs to do trimming inside so it won't be thick but will be of the same length I want!!!!

$16 is not worth it!!!! I would never ever as in NEVEEEEERRRRR go to MASTER CUTS!!!!! WORST!!!

I never blog saying UGLY things, but it should ring a bell to all of you that this Master Cuts pushed me to!!! Because they are TERRIBLE in every aspect!!!! I don't like them!!!

Lesson learned. I'd rather go to old salons who can take care of me and give full service than like Master Cuts who don't know how to treat their customers right!!!
