The best heavyweight in the world puts the best title in the world on the line on Feb 18th. Vitali Klitschko Vs Dereck Chisora, is it a mis-match? I don't think so. We all know that Chisora comes to fight so it should be an entertaining fight at the very least. I think Vitali knows full well he's going to destroy Chisora. In all the interviews he has been bigging Chisora up non stop and I think he's doing that so when he knocks Chisora out it looks like a spectacular victory. But the truth is, even at 40 years old, Vitali is well aware he will demolish Chisora no problem.

Dereck Chisora is made for Vitali, and Chisora's "come forward in straight lines" style is perfect for Vitali to look good against. Vitali Klitschko is huge, and for such a big guy he has the best movement and sense of distance in the heavyweight division. He is so good that he can actually stay in punching range, block or slip his opponents punches, and pummel the opponent with his own shots. He is very impressive for such a giant of a man, and I believe he could have held his own in any era of heavyweight boxing.

Recent video footage has come to light showing an unknown man engaging with one of the judges at the Khan Vs Peterson fight. This judge was the WBA Official. The unknown man was definitely looking at the judges scorecard. No one is allowed to talk to the judges during a fight, so why was this man talking to the judge and looking at his scorecard. This is suspicious. One of the judges scorecards had numbers crossed out in one of the rounds and a new score was added..Was this just a mistake by the judge, George Hill, or was the scorecard tampered with.

In some ways it can be said that Amir Khan has took this loss very hard and he is looking for any excuse to get an instant rematch, or find some kind of justification as to why he lost. In all honesty, I think Peterson, with the 2 point deduction because of Khan's constant pushing, done enough to get the win. But it does seem strange that this mystery man, who has not yet been named, was even allowed to be that involved with the judge and his scorecard. Apparently the mystery man was some kind of IBF official, but if that is the case then why has it been so difficult to identify him..

I should add, there is also photo evidence (guy standing on the left wearing the hat) of this mystery man celebrating in Peterson's corner after the decision was announced.

Carl Froch and Andre Ward will fight it out tomorrow night to see who is crowned the Super Six Tournament winner. Not only is the Super Six cup on the line, but also the Ring Magazine Belt, the WBA, and the WBC Super Middleweight titles are on the line. This fight really is too close to call. Both boxers have world class skills and this tournament alone has proved that. Froch and Ward are very different fighters though. Froch does have good boxing skills but prefers to have a toe to toe war, where as Andre Ward prefers to box but can mix it up if he needs to. Andre Ward is the superior boxer but Carl Froch does have more power and more experience at world level on the professional boxing stage.

There has been a lot of talk from both Froch and Ward, most of it has been about each others power. Froch has been saying that Ward is going to get knocked out because he can't take the power he possesses. Froch has also been saying that Ward can't knock him out because he has no power. I believe that this talk has gotten under Wards skin and he's sick of hearing people, specially Carl Froch say he's got no power. I think Andre Ward is going for the knockout on Saturday night, and with his excellent boxing ability and fast hands I think he's got a good change of getting a stoppage. Even if Froch is not so much hurt but just overwhelmed. Ward wants to prove to Froch, and everyone else, that he does have some pop in his punches.

Whoever wins this fight not only gets all the titles and wins the tournament, but will also be considered as the best super middleweight in the world.

As tough as Froch is, I'm going for Andre Ward by knockout. May the best man win.

Lamont Peterson Beats Amir Khan

This was an excellent, all action fight. However, as close as it was, I thought Peterson did do enough to secure the win. He was pushing the action in a lot of the rounds and a big percentage of the meaningful punches were coming from Peterson. I think Khan has shown a weakness in this fight, and that is when he's put under pressure he has a hard time. Khan needs distance to be successful, without that distance he struggles with his inside game, which is close to non-existent.

Khan was disrespectful after the fight blaming the referee and also saying that Peterson was given the fight because it was his hometown etc, but the truth is Khan was warned for pushing and even had a point taken away, but he still continued to push. He only has himself to blame. Saying that, credit to both fighters, they left it all in the ring and yes, it was a close fight, but I think the right man got the decision. No doubt there will be a rematch.

Was watching this review video of the fight and I tend to agree with him.

There is a lot of talk going around at the moment that David Haye is coming out of retirement to fight Vitali Klitschko this spring. Many reports are claiming that this fight is already definitely happening and the only thing left to sort out is who will get what in terms of money splits.

This is a wise move by the Klitschko brothers, they know that David Haye still has huge selling power and they want another opportunity to cash in on it before it's too late. David Haye is already in light training for the fight and it was confirmed that Haye was sparring with George Groves and was completely knackered after just two rounds. But, I think it's safe to say that Haye was in retire mode and probably wasn't training at all.

Can David Haye beat Vitali?

Anything is possible. Vitali is much more willing to stay in the pocket and trade punches with his opponents. So Haye could have better chances to land punches then he did against the very clever but very cautious Wladimir. Saying that, even at 40 years old I still think Vitali is too mobile and far too skilled to lose to David Haye. Not to mention his power and iron chin. It should be interesting though, specially if Haye adopts the same "backing off and waiting for a counter punch" tactics that he did all night against Wladimir. I don't think Vitali will stand off and have the patience that Wladimir had. Vitali will get involved and this will lead to an exciting fight.

Did Marquez Beat Pacquiao

Marquez had obviously done his homework for Pacquiao on Saturday night. This could have a lot to do with him fighting Pacquiao twice previously and knowing what to prepare for. It was a close fight but Marquez had Pacquiao timed perfectly for a lot of the rounds, and it was clear to everyone except the three judges scoring the fight that most of the rounds were definitely Marquez rounds. Some rounds were very close but even by scoring the close rounds to Pacquiao, Marquez still won the fight by a couple of rounds.

Most of the crowd were furious at this shocking result, some even threw bottles at the ring. Sports writers, boxers, commentators, all were surprised by the result. I think even Manny Pacquiao, deep down, knew he had lost. Even Freddy Roach knew Pacquiao had lost, stating that Marquez deserved a rematch. Can it get any clearer that the whole world barr some Pacman fans and the three judges thought Marquez won this fight. Amir Khan even said that he couldn't believe that Manny won that fight and that he had Marquez winning.

Personally I think Marquez won that fight and I'm not a Manny hater or anything. I think he's a great fighter. But he did lose that fight. Should there be an immediate rematch?

George Groves makes short work of Paul Smith, catching him with a flush punch to the jaw line that sent him reeling to the canvas. Smith showed heart by getting up, but Groves landed a glancing shot to the head of the already wobbled Smith and the fight was called to a halt in the second round. Paul Smith had an excellent first round. He was catching Groves with some very good counter punches and it looked as if this fight would be long and quite evenly matched. In all fairness it did have the potential to be, but Groves caught Smith with a perfect punch from which he never fully recovered from. A very impressive win for Groves. I bet James Degale wasn't happy.

Ricky Burns takes the scalp of of another top class, world rated fighter. Although some of the rounds were tight, Ricky Burns sealed a convincing victory over the tough, all action Aussie warrior.

Credit goes to Katsidis, he always comes to fight and this match was no exception. He had Burns rocked a number of times but Burns showed that he can take punches from a hard hitter and still come back fighting. Anyone fighting Katsidis will have problems, mainly because of his mauling, in your face style, he really gives his opponents no room to move or set themselves.

Skys the limit for Burns right now. He has been under rated by many people, and hopefully his win over Katsidis should make people sit up and take notice. He can mix in world class there's no doubt about it. And I must say, listening to how grounded he is in his interviews I really wish him all the best, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. It's hard not to like him.

This win will now see Ricky Burns get the chance to face some of the best fighters in the world at his weight class. The name Marquez has been mentioned. Marquez will be one hell of a mountain to climb. Marquez's skill level is right up there with Paquiao. And even now, with Marquez being a veteran, he is still very very skilled. He still completely lives for boxing and hasn't lost much of his skill or sharpness due to always staying super disciplined. But saying that, I believe Ricky Burns could be catching Marquez at the right time, if they do end up fighting.

The build up to this fight has been pretty intense. It's almost kicked off between the pair on a few ocassions. But at last, all the talking is now over and it's time to put all the talking to one side and settle it properly. The only thing that really matters is who performs on the night. The fight is taking place in Liverpool, Bellews back garden, so Bellew does have the advantage as far as support goes. But Cleverly should win this fight. Both have the potential to become good fighters down the line, and both have their strengths and weaknesses. Cleverly is too eager for a tear up but is very durable, and Bellew is quite chinny but can bang a bit, so anything can happen here. Both have a point to prove so this one will be exciting while it lasts. The WBO title is on the line.

First off, I thought Floyd Mayweather looked really good last night, and it was clear that he would be the one most likely to win the fight the way it was going. But this is boxing and nothing is set in stone, so we are left to wonder at what might have happened if the fight would of made it to the later rounds.

Clearly, when the end to fight came there was confusion. The referee did not make it clear whether it was OK for the fighting to continue. It looked to me like it wasn't, and Ortiz was waiting for the referee to give instructions. Floyd Mayweather took full advantage of the confusion and had two free shots at Victor Ortiz when his hands were down. Ortiz didn't even see the punches coming which makes it even worse. Very unsportsman like by Floyd. I actually thought that Floyd was going to be disqualified, but it was classed as a knock out.

In a way, Victor Ortiz shouldn't have been so apologetic. He apologised twice already, and on the third time he got knocked out. Floyd wasn't in the wrong as far as the rules are concerned, but that was a terrible thing to do. Floyd was angry because of being head butted, but Ortiz got a point deducted, so he had been penalised. Boxings dangerous enough without things like this. I remember one incident like this where a boxer went to touch gloves, but his opponent hit him and the guy actually died.

This fight proved nothing. We already knew that Floyd has excellent defense and is one of the best boxers out there. Most boxers could knock out there opponents with free shots to the face like that. But hey, protect yourself at all times..I would of loved to have seen what would have happened if this incident would of been the other way round!

Sadly for Adamek, he is facing a man who's not only much bigger and stronger, but more importantly, much more skilled. Adamek has got a big heart and I feel that heart will be pushed to it's limits in this fight. This should be an interesting fight. Both can bang, and the winner could go on to face Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko in the near future, so there's everything to fight for. Povetkin is trained by Teddy Atlas, and I know there have been some issues with Povetkin's confidence and also with his progress as a fighter. Teddy Atlas actually turned down a Klitschko fight because he thought the time wasn't right for Povetkin to step up to that level, mentally.

So this fight against a tough, seasoned fighter like Chagaev is going to be a really good test for Povetkin, and also for Teddy Atlas. It will show if Povetkin has matured enough mentally as a fighter, and it will also be a good indicator to see whether he has what it takes to fight on the bigger stage against a live opponent. Not that he hasn't fought against some decent fighters, but Povetkins best wins so far have been a TKO victory over Chris Byrd, who was way past his prime, and a points win over Eddie Chambers. So Povetkin has a lot to prove here. Ruslan Chagaev has only lost once and that was to Wladimir Klitschko, so if Povetkin can put on a good performance here it will make people sit up and take notice.

If we go on past performances we would have to say that Vitali's gameplan will most probably be the one that ends up being victorious. Adamek is very fast and has good boxing skills, but facing a fighter like Vitali, I think he will have to be at his best to just go the distance. Adamek takes far too many punches, and against the man with the highest knockout ratio that's a very dangerous chink in the armour to have. Vitali to give Adamek a serious beating.

David Tua Vs Monte Barrett Rematch

These two fighters might not be considered as the elite heavyweights at this moment in time, but they are two very exciting, and very seasoned fighters that match up well together at this stage of their boxing careers, and both will give it their all.

If you haven't watched their first fight, It ended in a draw. Monte Barrett became the first man to ever knock David Tua down, so Tua is looking for revenge in this rematch. Will he get it? It's not likely. David Tua is a very good fighter with huge power, but his style is fairly one dimensional and predictable. All Monte Barrett has to do is keep moving and throwing out the jab and he should score an easy points win over Tua. Saying that, this fight is in Tua's home town so it might be a risky strategy for Barrett to try and get a points decision over Tua.

David Tua will have to hope that Monte Barrett tires badly later in the fight so that he gets a chance to catch up to Barrett, plant his feet, and let some huge left hooks go.

Many people thought Barrett won the first fight and Tua was lucky to scrape a draw. It wasn't a good performance by Tua, and we don't know if lack of training had anything to do with that. One things for sure, Tua has trained hard for this rematch and hopefully we should see something special from him. Tua seems quite angry at the fact that Barrett actually knocked him down, so this must have been good motivation for Tua in training and we should see a much better performance then last time.

I would love to see David Tua win this fight and go on to bigger and better things, hopefully a title shot at some point in the future. If he lived in the gym I beleive he could still be a real force to be reckoned with in the heavyweight division. Maybe not against the Klitschko's but to all the other heavyweights just under that level. But to win any of the meaningful titles means he would have to take on one of the Klitschko brothers, as they now hold all the belts. Could David Tua beat the Klitschko's, I don't think so. They are just too good at the moment, and against Tua I beleive either of the Klitschko brothers would be a similar fight as when Tua fought Lennox Lewis. He would be kept at range and picked off all night.

So where does the winner of this fight go? Monte Barrett has said he is retiring after this fight, and Tua is talking along those lines as well, so it makes you think how much Tua really wants it anymore, and how much work he's prepared to put in at 38 years old to finally win a legitimate World Heavyweight Title. Something he hasn't managed to do...Yet! Tua does have jaw breaking power, and if wins on Saturday, and keeps winning, and he does end up fighting Wladimir Klitschko, one punch is all he needs. Tua ALWAYS has that punchers chance, no matter who he's fighting.

The end came 4 minutes into the very first round. Fedor started fast, trying to take Hendo out with punches but Henderson was ready and responded well with his own barrage of powerful shots that wobbled Fedor and made him back up. Dan Henderson looked to be getting the better of Fedor in almost every exchange of punches. The knock out happened when Fedor caught Henderson with some glancing punches and followed him forward while still throwing shots, making him fall to the floor.

As Fedor started to work the ground and pound he did not have full control of Hendo's hips and Hendo was able to turn and grab Fedor from behind. In this position, with both fighters on their hands and knees, Hendo landed a huge uppercut from behind which made Fedor just fold, hitting his face off the floor. Hendo followed up with some huge punches to the back of Fedors head and the fight was called to a halt.

In my opinion, Fedor was not knocked out, he was just hit with a punch that he did not see coming at all. It did not look at any point like Fedor was asleep so to speak. But he did go limp for a second or two, he was hurt, and that was enough for the referee to stop the fight. Good win for Dan Henderson and possible retirement for Fedor.

Tyson Fury will fight Dereck Chisora this weekend, and has yet again said in an interview that if he loses, or even has a close fight with Chisora, he will retire from boxing. Other then David Price and David Haye, I'd say that Fury and Chisora are the best heavyweight propects in Britain right now. Whoever wins out of these two on Saturday night could become Wladimir Klitschko's next opponent. So everything is at stake here.

This fight has the potential to be a real brawl. A lot has been said between the two in the build up, and at one point Tyson Fury went out on a horse and cart looking for Chisora around London lol. Dereck Chisora has also refused to turn up at some of the press conferences, maybe he just wants to do his talking in the ring, or maybe he is a little concerned about Fury as an opponent. Could Tyson Furys confidence have Chisora a bit shook up..We will find out on Saturday night. Don't miss the fight. It's being aired in the USA and Canada, and it's on terrestrial television in the UK. Channel Five to be exact.

I think fitness is the key in this fight. Both tire badly in the later rounds, but Chisora seems more able to stay busy and keep swinging even when tired. Chisora to win by decision.
