A preparation of camel milk and urine, can end cancer

A group of scientists discovered a way to fight against cancer based on camel milk and urine, which was already tested successfully in mice and its application is now expected in humans, revealed Alnadzhar A. Abdullah, chairman of the Science Fund Arabic and Technology, quoted in The Times of India.

The experiment conducted by experts from Sharjah University and the Cancer Institute in Baghdad, revealed a striking feature of the immune system of the camel, enjoying a "rejuvenation" whenever evidence scientists take their milk and urine.

The mix received, experts led by the Arab Dzhasema Sabah Biotechnology Company, cure leukemia and is able to overcome other types of cancer diseases.

The scientists said that all the sick animals laboratory, were cured in 100% of cases.

The revolutionary prepared them was introduced six months ago and are yet alive and active, like other healthy mice.

Apparently, the preparation contains molecules that attack the joints poisonous to cancer cells without causing side effects.

The mixture was already registered in the British patent department.

The Kanzius machine to treat cancer finally working?

John S. Kanzius (March 1, 1.944 – February 18, 2.009) was an American inventor, radio and TV engineer, one-time station owner and ham radio operator (Call Sign K3TUP) from Erie, Pennsylvania.

He invented a method that has the potential to treat virtually all forms of cancer, with no side effects, and without the need for surgery or medication.

He also demonstrated a device that generated flammable hydrogen-containing gas from salt-water-solution by the use of radiowaves. In the media this was dubbed "burning salt water".

Both effects involve the use of his radio frequency transmitter.

Kanzius, an autodidact, stated that he was motivated to research the subject of cancer treatment by his own experiences undergoing chemotherapy for treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Cancer therapy

Kanzius RF Therapy is an experimental cancer treatment that employs a combination of either gold or carbon nanoparticles and radio waves to heat and destroy cancer cells without damaging healthy cells.

The specific absorption rate for radio waves by living tissue in the proposed wavelengths and intensity levels is very low.

Metals absorb this energy much more efficiently than tissue through dielectric heating; Richard Smalley has suggested that carbon nanotubes could be used to similar purpose.

If nanoparticles were to be preferentially bound to cancer sites, cancer cells could be destroyed or induced into apoptosis while leaving healthy tissue relatively unharmed.

This preferential targeting represents a major technical challenge. According to a presentation by Dr. Steven Curley, the types of cancer potentially treatable using Kanzius RF therapy include essentially all forms of cancer.

Kanzius built a prototype Kanzius RF device in his home, and formed Therm Med., LLC to test and market his inventions.

The device was successfully tested at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2.005.

As of 2.007-04-23, preliminary research using the device at The University of Texas M. D.

Anderson Cancer Center and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center has shown early promise.

If federal approval is granted, testing on human patients may follow.

An article published in late 2.010 illustrates that radiofrequency fields induce intracellular hyperthermia and necrosis in pancreatic tumors without injury to the human pancreatic tissue grafts tested.

Water-related discovery

Later in 2.007, Kanzius announced that the same radio frequency transmitter can also be used to generate a hydrogen-oxygen mixture dissociated from salt water.

The discovery was made accidentally while he was researching the use of radio waves for desalination.

Kanzius said that "In this case we weren't looking for energy, we were looking for something that might do desalinization.

The more we tried desalinization, the more heat we produced, until we got fire".

Kanzius admitted that this process could not be considered an energy source, as more energy is used to produce the RF signal than can be obtained from the burning gas and stated in July 2.007 that he never claimed his discovery would replace oil, asserting only that his discovery was "thought provoking."

The details of the process are still unreleased pending the issuance of a patent.

Kanzius proposed that the flame is produced by burning of hydrogen and oxygen, released from the water by radio waves "forcing together" the "normally separated" hydrogen and oxygen in the water, a process he calls "reunification".

Kanzius' experiment has been confirmed by Rustum Roy, a materials scientist at Pennsylvania State University, in a demonstration before the Material Science faculty, using Kanzius' RF transceiver, which Kanzius had brought to the lab for the day.

On his website, Roy writes: "It is clear that Mr. Kanzius has demonstrated the ability to dissociate aqueous solutions of sodium chloride at normal sea water concentrations into hydrogen and oxygen."

According to Roy, "The salt water isn't burning per se, despite appearances.

The radio frequencies act to weaken the bonds between the elements that make up salt water, releasing the hydrogen.

Once ignited, the hydrogen will burn as long as it is exposed to the frequencies."

The temperature and flame color varies with water solutions and concentrations.

The Kanzius machine has been discussed few times in the past but after a quick search it seems there are no recent posts about it and the last developments.

One of the main obstacles for this "machine" (I would say it's rather an "idea" - a very brilliant one) was the impossibility to zap with radio waves cancer cells flowing in the body (methastasis).

Well I checked the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation and they are saying that the issue is now solved, by the use of gold nanoparticles with attached an antibody (the "navigator") able to reach tumor cells wherever they are.

It seems a breakthrough, if it really works as they say we may be not so far from a cancer-free world.

I really hope so.

Dandelion root

Every week around 10,000 people die of cancer.

Government figures show the death rate for cancer deaths has not changed in the last 10 years.

Chemo and radiation only save around 10% of the people treated.

So this shows our doctors don’t have much to work with.

As this article goes on, I will explain how to prepare this plant and how much to take.

There is nothing to buy.

A little over three years ago I was about done in with cancer.

One morning as I was waking up and hoping the end would come soon, a voice came to me and said.

You have to do something about your prostate cancer.

Take the root of the dandelion.

I dug some roots and started to prepare it.

About a week later I started taking it.

Three weeks later the pain in my back and side was gone and my bowels had improved.

Five and one half months later they could find no cancer problem in me at all.

I, then wanted to find someone else to try it, and that was the biggest problem yet.

Nobody seems to want to help.

When I told doctors, they just smiled as if I was nuts.

Finally, I was telling a friend about it and he said he had a friend that was dying of lung cancer.

He had it in both lungs and was bed ridden.

They were tapping his lungs.

He had been given 4 to 6 weeks to live.

After he had been on this powder about six weeks, he was up and around doing his chores and driving his car.

He went to his doctor’s office, and the doctors could not believe it.

They took him to the hospital and gave him a CAT scan.

They found no cancer lesions in his lungs and said it was a miracle.

I then put an ad in The Northwest Herald offering it free, and four people said they would try it.

Slowly one person told another and it spread.

There was a fair amount of people taking it for different kinds of cancer and several for other things.

For instance, a man lost the use of his immune system and was told he wouldn’t be able to work again for three years, in six months he is now working ½ days and feeling better.

I know this is not a cure all.

It won’t help everyone or all kinds of cancer. I know it is not a cure for skin cancer and it hasn’t had luck with brain tumors.

There is a doctor in Boston, Massachusetts that has developed a vaccine that is doing great things.

This has been successful with prostate, colon, breast, liver and best of all with lung cancer.

Five people have taken it for lung cancer and all five have been cured once.

The immune system controls the cancer cells in your body.

As long as the immune system is healthy, you don’t usually have a cancer problem.

When your immune system gets run down, it loses control of the cancer cells, and they start eating live cells and this is what they call cancer.

This powder made from dandelion root has something in it that builds up the blood and the immune system.

When the immune system is built up so far, it gets back control of cancer cells, and they do an about face and start cleaning up the mess they’ve made.

This is why you must have a fair appetite because your body must build itself up and be healthy if your immune system is going to be strong.

This will not work for people that have lost their appetite or are on CHEMO.

Doctors try to blast the cancer out of your body with Chemo or radiation.

By doing so, it destroys your immune system and appetite.

These are the most important things your body needs to beat cancer.

Operations also knock the immune system haywire.

This is why so many people that have operations for cancer find that a short time later it has spread somewhere else.

Many of the worst diseases that have plagued the world have been cured quite easily. When I was a boy, women dreaded the goiter more than cancer.

A little iodine in the diet cured that. For hundred of years the most dreaded diseases was leprosy and lockjaw.

A doctor found he could produce penicillin from moldy bread and could cure them and many more things.

How long has moldy bread been around?

I’m sure scientists will find many uses for the powder made from the root of the dandelions besides cancer. I have already found it builds up the blood so you heal much faster.

To make the powder from the dandelion root you must follow my directions to the letter.

Any changes and it won’t work.

Dig a handful of dandelion roots any time of the year, it doesn’t matter. Cut the leaves off just below the crown.

DO NOT WASH.

Then they must be dried around 100 degrees.

I do it in an incubator with no water.

You can also dry them under a heat light bulb if you raise or lower it so it’s 100 degrees.

You can also use the sun or put them in the attic if it’s not too hot. It takes about 5 or 6 days in the incubator.

I have not done this all the way under the heat light. When you break a root and it snaps it is ready to powder.

Take an old iron frying pan and a clean hammer.

Take one root at a time and place in the frying pan and start tapping.

Don’t hit hard or it will fly all over the place. I put my hand around the root to keep most of it in the pan.

If it sticks to the hammer and pan, and doesn’t crumble in your fingers, it isn’t dry enough.

Keep it up until you have enough to start.

It takes about 20 minutes to ½ hour to prepare enough for a week. When you get used to it you can go much faster.

I have an old vessel that druggists used to pound pills, this goes much faster.

DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC GRINDER, it won’t work if you do.

You lose too much of the good part in dust. You must do it as I have said or don’t do it at all.

I’ve tried shortcuts, but it seems someone was looking over my shoulder, and I know when I made a mistake.

I’m just an old farmer and not a scientist, so I wouldn’t know the correct amount to take on my own.

Now take a little over one half teaspoon once a day at any time and mix it with water, orange juice, etc..

Do not use in soft drinks, liquor, or anything hot.

When mixed, use it all.

Don’t let it stand around.

Keep the power in a dry place. After taking it three or four days, you will feel good, but nothing else.

That is because your blood is building up.

When you blood is happy, you’re happy.

In most cases, this will build your immune system in from three days to three weeks to the point it takes back control of cancer cells and thus the cancer stops spreading. In most cases it is going to help.

There is no body feeling as it works.

You just feel a little better each week.

After three weeks most of the pain will be gone in your back and you know it’s working if you had pain there like I did. If you have bone cancer in the spine, it will take three months to work.

This is not an overnight cure. It took a while to get in this condition and it will take a while for your body to heal.

The sooner you start, the quicker you will be over cancer.

Young people heal faster than old people, but it will help at any age. I know because I’m 80 and have been taking it for over three years.

No cancer has come back and no side effects except when my body has had enough, it lets me know by getting heart burn.

Then I back off some.

Some people get stomach aches when they need less. It also means your cancer is under control and you don’t need as much.

You will also find you probably won’t catch a cold while you are taking it full strength.

The biggest enemy for this root is Chemo.

The stronger the Chemo, the less chance the power has to help you as Chemo tears your immune system and appetite down, two of the most important things you need to cure cancer.

There is only a ten percent chance Chemo will cure you. With no chemo, your chances are 75 to 80% but you must take it every day.

Don’t let your doctor give you that old treat if you turn him down that goes, “If you want to throw your life away, I can’t stop you”.

Just remember that 90% of the people that take his advice and take chemo are in the cemetery.

Don’t blame the doctor, he is doing his best with what he has to work with or you could ask for a written guarantee.

I have only mentioned cancers that I know people have had and used this root. It should help pancreas cancer if taken before the appetite is gone and most body cancer.

This is food, not a drug. It shouldn’t interfere with medicine your doctor may be giving you.

Only two doctors have told patients to keep taking the power when they have made a miracle recovery.

The rest of the doctors have run the power down and blasted the people even if the cancer has disappeared.

The medical world is not going to accept this easily.

Going back to not washing the roots and leaving a little soil on them, it is for your own good.

A good bit of immunity comes from the soil, it starts as soon as you are born. Your fingers touch something, and you put them in your mouth.

A little dirt at first, and more as you grow older and start crawling.

Then everything you touch goes in the mouth.

When children go outside to play and when they come in, they are the dirtiest around the mouth and hand.

The hands go in their mouths no matter how dirty they are.

Many diseases and bacteria live in the ground, but they don’t seem to cause any trouble but it does build up the immune system.

Some animals can’t live if they can’t eat a certain amount of soil.

What is cancer ?

Everybody talks about the immune system, but few can tell you what it is.

Your immune system is a complicated system of cells and biological reactions which the body employs to ward off invaders and to prevent its own cells from deteriorating or mutating.

The immune system is responsible for recognizing foreign proteins and cells and for triggering an attack against them.

The immune system is a never-ending second-by-second check of all your cells to see if they still look like the rest of you.

If they don’t, they’re immediately attacked: the inflammatory response.

Most legitimate researchers, including Nobel prize winner Sir MacFarlane Burnet, know that in the normal body hundreds of potential cancer cells appear every day.

These defective mutated cells are usually destroyed by the normal immune system and never cause a problem. Cancer only gets started when a failing immune system begins to allow abnormal cells to slip by without triggering an attack on them.

Other cancer cells do not trigger the immune response at all because the DNA is not that different from normal cells.

Then they begin to proliferate, having lost the ability to specialize.

That’s what cancer is. Runaway tissue.

So looking at it this way, a tumor is a symptom, not a problem.

A symptom of a failing immune system.

Here’s another headline : most cancers are not found until autopsy.

That’s because they never caused any noticeable symptoms.

Examples abound: 30 – 40 times as many cases of thyroid, pancreatic, and prostate cancer are found in autopsy than ever presented to the doctor.

According to a study cited in top British medical journal Lancet 13 Feb 93, early screening often leads to unnecessary treatment : 33% of autopsies show prostate cancer but only 1% die from it

After age 75, half of males may have prostate cancer, but only 2% die from it.

This means that the immune system can hold many problems in check, as long as it is not compromised by powerful procedures.

The body has a powerful ability to encapsulate altered tissue areas, indefinitely.

Biopsy vs encapsulation

It’s this exact natural mechanism of protective encapsulation that is vehemently disregarded by conventional medicine whenever cancer is suspected.

Usually a lump.

We have to biopsy it, they cry, to see whether or not it’s cancerous.

And immediately! Why?

First of all, by the time any lump is big enough to be detected, it has usually been there for at least a year, maybe several.

So what’s the rush?

Why not see how your body handles it, unmodified by human experimentation?

If it remains unchanged over time, chances are the encapsulation can eventually be resorbed, or at least permanently walled off.

The act of biopsy physically violates the body’s evolved powers of self-protection by exposing the tumor to all the other tissues the needle had to pass through both on the way in and the way out.

Any protective encapsulation is thereby breached and contaminated.

This virtually invites metastasis.

It is well documented that tumors can be encapsulated for an individual’s entire life, never becoming active.

These common sense notions are simply not entertained, not deemed worthy of consideration by the specialists who are anxious to let the billing cycles begin as soon as possible.

The medical philosophy behind biopsy is classic Kragen thinking : the body is a car, made up of unrelated, non-living, inert parts.

What we do here will have no effect on anything else.

If a lump is discovered, anywhere, your phone will ring off the hook day and night until you agree to get the biopsy.

The patient is not allowed to get too comfortable with the notion that the more time goes by without treatment, the better he feels.

Or that the body actually has powerful resources of healing all its own, encapsulation being one of them.

You want to see some fancy doubletalking, bring this subject up with your oncologists.

They’ll be very worried you even thought of it, and will go to extreme lengths to convince you that your body does not have this power of walling off invaders and tumors, despite what the histology and physiology texts have stated for the past 100 years.

Always remember, if you suddenly find yourself labelled as a cancer patient; is the result of every single decision by your doctors going to provide them with the highest number of billable drugs and procedures in the shortest amount of time?

Always ask that question first. Is it a coincidence? Just try looking at it from that perspective and see if you can put the pieces together.

Your health, comfort, safety, overall long-term well being? Not usually factored in.

Then consider delaying biopsy until some visible perceptible health change warrants such an invasive and potentially carcinogenic procedure.

What’s the worst that could happen by doing that?

Few people die of cancer only; most die of cancer treatment. That’s the far greater danger, statistically.

If you have cancer, guess which system is the most important to you at this time, more than it’s ever been before in your whole life.

Right, your immune system.

Now guess which system suffers the most from chemotherapy and radiation.

Right again. So the one time in your life you most need it, your immune system will be weakened by those therapies.

That’s what the word cytotoxic means. As we will see, most people don’t die of cancer; they die from cancer treatment.

A study in Journal of the American Medical Association of 223 patients concluded that no treatment at all for prostate cancer actually was better than any standard chemotherapy, radiation or surgical procedure.

Unlikely the statistics would be any different today since the recommended procedures have not substantially changed.

Dying on schedule

An astounding feature of the standard high pressure sales job for cancer treatment is when the doctor in his godlike fashion delivers that Wagnerian pronouncement that the patient has X years to live.

Very sorry to have to tell you this but you probably have less than a year…

Hard to understand why most people would still want to follow any advice from someone who has just told them that.

Because what the doctor is saying here is that according to our best estimates, using our best available technology, drugs and procedures, our experience with patients who have what you have puts your life expectancy at …

Defies belief that most people just roll over and comply without any objections whatsoever. Social Darwinism at work again.

What a more logical, thoughtful individual might perceive from such a death sentence is that hey, this guy is telling me what will likely happen if I stick around and do what he says.

Time to roll. Time for me to start looking around for a second opinion and see if I can’t find out about some other solutions to my situation that have a little sunnier outlook.

Like a cure for example.

Or survival. Somebody somewhere must have some better information than this for my little problem it’s a big world out there.

And this is the type of initiative that leads people to investigate natural cures, programs that don’t include words like terminal and palliative and side effects and expiration date and cell death.

Alternative: the standard sheeplike compliance usually ends up as a self-fulfilling prophecy – they die on schedule.

Try this one. Best advice for someone who just been told how long he has to live: ask the doctors to put it in writing. Just ask them. They’ll never do it. Try and think about why not.

What causes cancer in the first place?

Here’s where the dog and pony show comes in.

The traditional cover story is that we don’t know what causes cancer so therefore we have to keep spending $100 billion per year to look for the cause.

In reality the opposite is true.

The true causes of cancer are well known, well documented and have been for decades.

What alters normal DNA?

How do normal cells become persistent mutant cells, which grow tumors?

There are thousands of everyday DNA-altering, carcinogenic situations, well researched. Let’s list just a few:

60,000 chemicals in our air, food, and water

vaccines

processed foods

genetically modified foods

prescription drugs

over-the-counter medications

tobacco

air pollution

fluoridated water

pesticides on produce

herbicides on produce

chlorine

other contaminants in our water

If fruits and vegetables are not marked organic, they are sprayed.

What do you think happens with all those tons of military-grade commercial pesticides sprayed onto the crops, poisons which cling to the plant?

When it rains, the poison washes down into the soil, is taken up by the plant and becomes part of the plant.

And they tell you just wash the fruit before you eat it and it’ll be fine? And this is what we feed our kids, and all this is legal.

These poisons alter human DNA.

With vaccines, it’s deliberate cell invasion : attenuated or mutated antigens injected into the child’s blood.

A cure for cancer that will enable us to continue defiling our blood with all the above carcinogenic substances, right?

Cure for cancer? Step one: stop poisoning your blood with the causes!

Cancer incidence

In 1.900, cancer was practically unheard of in this country.

By 1.950, there were about 150 cases of cancer per 100,000 population.

In 1.971, Nixon introduced his war on cancer, opening the floodgates of massive research funding backed by the government.

This situation escalated until by the 1.980s, over $50 billion per year was being spent to “find the cure.”

A pittance, compared to the $300 billion today.

We’re hit with endless media stories about progress in this war on cancer with new “breakthrough” drugs and miracle procedures being right around the corner…

And of course the ever-present ‘new’ experimental drugs offered to almost every cancer patient.

It’s astounding how each new generation of cancer patients keeps falling for the same lame rap, year after year.

A combination of fear and ignorance is what keeps this train rolling.

What is the real story behind the story here?

From the U.S. government’s own statistical abstracts we find the disconcerting truth.

The simplest thing is to look at actual deaths from cancer. In epidemiology, deaths from disease are always measured in deaths per 100,000 population.

So let’s start back in 1.967 :

Independent analysis by the CA Journal for Cancer Clinicians, Jan 97, put the 1.993 death rate at 220 per 100,000.

Does that sound like progress?

Yeah, progress for the disease.

Jumping ahead now to 2000, the overall rate had climbed to 321 per 100,000

Why does nobody know this?

Bet you never saw these charts before.

Because they are forbidden in mainstream media.

Numbers can be twisted and made to do tricks.

This chart is the raw data, not age adjusted or divided by race, or type of cancer.

It will take you hours to find the simple data by internet searches, because the uncomfortable truth is deliberately obscured by overcomplicating it into dozens of useless categories.

Standard Edward L Bernays misdirection the science of epidemiology.

Try finding a medical reference or journal article or a URL that admits these figures.

Try finding a newspaper or magazine article in the last 15 years that uses the raw data.

And this data says one thing: more people are dying of cancer now per capita than ever before, and nothing is slowing the increase.

Not early detection, not better screenings, not new high tech machines, not radiation, not surgery, and definitely not chemotherapy.

All the journal articles will say the opposite that cancer rates are falling.

But when you look closely at the data they cite, it never stands up to scrutiny, because they twisted the numbers by selecting only those groups who showed the assigned outcome.

Unfortunately the general population continues to have more deaths from cancer, not less.

Cancer in children

Before the 1.960s, cancer in children was virtually unheard of.

With the skyrocketing number of vaccines and drugs given to children, and the proliferation of snack foods and processed foods in the child diet, by the year 2.000 we have the astounding figure of 89.5 deaths per 100,000 population, for all types of cancer combined, below age 19.

Cancer is now the second highest cause of death in children, second only to accidents!

What is going on here??

New diet - new disease

As we saw, a hundred years ago, cancer was virtually unknown in the U.S.

At that time people relied more on whole foods, unrefined and generally in their original form.

Suddenly, processed foods became a greater and greater proportion of the American diet right after the First World War, first in the canning industry, which later developed into the food processing industry.

This was when pasteurization, chemical additives, bleaching, and other adulterating processes were introduced into mass food production.

The idea was to make food last on the shelves as long as possible, thereby increasing overall profits.

The way this was done was by removing the natural enzymes contained in the food, resulting in adulterated de-vitalized non-foods becoming the new standard.

Enzymes are what determines a food’s value.

As more and more sophisticated methods of removing enzymes from food were discovered, shelf life increased, and food value decreased.

What does all this have to do with cancer?

I’m getting to that.

Critical value of enzymes

When food that is difficult to digest is forced into the body, month after month, year after year, our own digestive system struggles valiantly to try to break down all these weird, manmade foods that have only this century appeared on the human scene.

But eventually the system gets overtaxed, and wears out. The sludge accumulates in the digestive tract.

Before long, we start absorbing the indigestible foods into the bloodstream, intact.

Big problem.

One of the first signs of the chronic absorption of processed foods into the blood is clumping together of red blood cells.

In normal blood, the red cells should be freely movable, and unattached, in order to carry oxygen to all the cells of the body.

But the accumulation of undigested protein in the blood makes these red blood cells stick together, like stacks of coins, or like globs of motor oil.

Once it gets like this, the blood tends to stay aggregated. Imagine the difficulty, for the blood to circulate.

The smallest blood vessels through which the blood has to pass each time around are the capillaries.

Unfortunately, the diameter of a capillary is only the same as one of the red blood cells they’re supposed to circulate in single file.

So what happens in a body whose red cells are all stuck together for a few years?

The tissues of the body become oxygen-deprived.

Oxygen

Are we talking about cancer yet?

We sure are.

Nobel laureate Dr. Otto Warburg discovered in the 1.920s what all researchers now know: most cancers cannot exist well in an oxygen-rich environment.

Why is it that people don’t die of cancer of the heart?

Just doesn’t happen.

Why not?

Because that’s where the most highly oxygenated blood is, and cancer doesn’t like oxygen. The more anaerobic the environment, the more favorable to cancer growth.

Even more conducive to cancer is a setting of fermentation. That means half-digested carbohydrates.

Every bootlegger knows that as sugars ferment, they bubble.

The bubbles are the oxygen leaving.

Cancer doesn’t like oxygen too well, but it loves sugar.

Starting to get the picture here?

Fermentation means half-digested, oxygen-poor.

This oxygen deprived environment is perfect for cancer it thrives in it.

Fermentation creates an acidic environment and keeps oxygen away.

Remember we talked about all that undigested food accumulating in the gut and in the bloodstream because of not enough enzymes?

Well, a lot of that food was carbohydrate you know, donuts, beer, candy, ice cream, Pepsi, bread, dairy, pastries, etc.

Worse yet, the white cells, which are supposed to circulate as the immune system, become trapped in all this congestion.

Their job?

Right, to identify and attack foreign proteins immediately.

A cancer cell is foreign protein, disguised as a local.

This is why taking enzymes 3x a day is absolutely fundamental in any holistic approach to cancer.

Acid/alkaline

Another factor is pH.

Acid-forming foods, such as the above, make the blood more acidic.

To sustain life, human blood pH must be in the range of 7.3 – 7.45 (Guyton ).

Outside that range, we’re dead. Remember, the lower the number, the more acidity.

The more acid the blood is, the less oxygen it contains, and the faster a person ages and degenerates.

There’s a major difference in oxygen even within the narrow range of “normal’ blood pH: blood that is pH 7.3 actually has 69.4% less oxygen than 7.45 blood, according to Whang’s classic book, Reverse Aging.

On a practical level, this means we should do everything to keep the pH on the high side of the range, as close as possible to 7.45, by eating as many alkaline foods as possible.

That would be, you guessed it live, raw foods, especially green foods. As well as drinking alkalyzed water, of course.

It’s not about raising blood pH; it’s about conserving the metabolic energy of the body for more important tasks than the burden of this constant buffering it is forced to maintain due to all the acid forming processed foods.

That’s the faintest sketch about enzyme deficiency and acid-forming foods as primary causes of creating a favorable environment in which cancer can grow.

More people living off cancer than ever died from it.

As we saw above, throughout the 1980s, working through Nixon’s illusory War on Cancer, we were spending less than $50 billion per year on cancer.

By 2.009 the total spent on cancer care, treatment and research exceeded $305 billion per year, according to the British Medical Journal, 28 August 2009.

At present there are more than 569,000 cancer deaths per year in the U.S. [CDC: Leading causes of death]– now second only to heart disease on the list of killer diseases.

Yet all this money has not improved the overall chances of survival from cancer during the past 25 years even slightly.

Many cancer patients will tell you they eventually feel that they’re just a mark, a number, an insurance account.

The goal of every visit seems to be selling them on new drugs, new procedures, running up the bill, not just not improving their overall health, but ignoring it altogether.

An industry this immense has one goal – self preservation. A cure for cancer would mean its demise.

This is a pivotal fact one should learn at the beginning of any honest look at the cancer industry, which most sources will vehemently deny, by that cleverest of techniques misdirection.

The American Cancer Society, for example, collects hundreds of millions per year. Very little of this money ever finds its way to research.

The majority of the money goes into investments and towards administration – lavish salaries and perqs for the Society’s officers and employees.

A funny thing is that written into the charter of the American Cancer Society is the clause that states that if a cure for cancer is ever found, on that day, the Society will disband.

The Cancer Industry

So is this an organization that is going to be motivated to find a cure for cancer?

This is the underlying reality, but what do we hear on the surface, coming at us every day from the TV newsreaders, and scripted online health blurbs, or from the lips of the oncologists making their reassuring pronouncements on the outlook for our loved ones’ chances of survival?

We’re “making progress.” “Early detection” is giving us a much better chance of “getting it all” by means of immediate surgery or by chemotherapy and radiation.

Then after surgery they tell us we need to do chemo to put “the icing on the cake,” “just to make sure”… etc, and other slick closing phrases.

Phrases which have not changed much in 25 years.

Frightened to death, uninformed, and having nowhere else to turn, people keep buying this same line year after year.

Your grandparents bought it, maybe your parents bought it, and perhaps now your siblings are buying it.

As a result, people keep dying on schedule.

And the figures go up and up.

But there’s a limit to everything. More and more of us have watched our family or our friends die wretched deaths, as all the ‘big guns’ were pompously wheeled out, with the hospitals happily billing the insurance until coverage runs out.

And some of us are saying Wait a minute, this isn’t about money this is about my life.

And people are deciding to take their chances without standard slash-and-burn protocols, either by just staying home and doing nothing, or else by experimentation with alternative therapies, which have always been there all this time, just below the surface.

But in order to have the confidence to make such a courageous stand, a little self-education is required. And here is the onion.

Chemotherapy

Considering chemotherapy?

Consider this:

“chemotherapy is basically ineffective in the vast of majority of cases in which it is given.” Ralph Moss, PhD.

“Cancer researchers, medical journals, and the popular media all have contributed to a situation in which many people with common malignancies are being treated with drugs not known to be effective.” – Dr. Martin Shapiro UCLA.

“despite widespread use of chemotherapies, breast cancer mortality has not changed in the last 70 years” – David Greenberg, MD NEJM Mar 1.975.

“Many medical oncologists recommend chemotherapy for virtually any tumor, with a hopefulness undiscouraged by almost invariable failure.”

- Albert Braverman MD Lancet 1.991.

“Most cancer patients in this country die of chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy does not eliminate breast, colon, or lung cancers.

This fact has been documented for over a decade, yet doctors still use chemotherapy for these tumors.” – Allen Levin, MD UCSF The Healing of Cancer.

Let’s say you get cancer in America it’s 1 in 3.

Your doctor says you need chemo and sends you to an office in the hospital. You have no symptoms yet, no pain, and you feel fine. But you’re very frightened.

You walk into the office and everyone else there is in obvious pain, with their hair falling out, etc, and most of them are dying. It’s like a scene from a horror movie.

Your first instinct is to run: I’m not like them! I’m alive! What am I doing here?

Then ask yourself this: in your entire life, how often have your true instincts been wrong?

Chemotherapy : an unproven procedure

How can that be true of the #1 cancer treatment in the U.S. for the past 50 years?

The plain fact is, no legitimate scientific studies or clinical trials independent of the companies selling chemo drugs have ever proven chemotherapy’s effectiveness, except in a small percentage of very rare types of cancer.

For solid tumors of adults, the vast majority of cancer, or anything that has metastasized, chemotherapy simply doesn’t work.

If one is going to even begin to look at the legitimate research regarding the failure of mainstream cancer therapies, all that initial research was done by Ralph Moss, and elaborated very clearly in his two books The Cancer Industry and Questioning Chemotherapy.

Even though they were written in the 90s, the fundamental objections to the philosophy behind chemotherapy are timeless.

Cancer therapy has simply not advanced in the past 20 years enough to make Moss’ work anything but essential reading for learning about the ongoing problems with mainstream cancer treatment.

Moss didn’t really continue his research at that level after that initial effort, but these two books remain as landmarks in the field.

When he was researching his first book, Dr Moss uncovered the shocking research of a German epidemiologist from the Heidelberg/Mannheim Tumor Clinic, named Dr. Ulrich Abel. This Dr Abel did a comprehensive review and analysis of every major study and clinical trial of chemotherapy ever done.

His conclusions should be read by anyone who is about to embark on the Chemo Express.

To make sure he had reviewed everything ever published on chemotherapy, Abel sent letters to over 350 medical centers around the world asking them to send him anything they had published on the subject.

Abel researched thousands of articles: it is unlikely that anyone in the world knows more about chemotherapy than he.

The analysis took Abel two years, but the results are astounding : Abel found that the overall worldwide success rate of chemotherapy was “appalling” because there was simply no scientific evidence available anywhere that chemotherapy can “extend in any appreciable way the lives of patients suffering from the most common organic cancers.”

Abel emphasizes that chemotherapy rarely can improve the quality of life. He describes chemotherapy as “a scientific wasteland” and states that at least 80 percent of chemotherapy administered throughout the world is worthless, and is akin to the “emperor’s new clothes” neither doctor nor patient is willing to give up on chemotherapy even though there is no scientific evidence that it works! – Lancet 10 Aug 91.

No mainstream media even mentioned this comprehensive study: it was totally buried.

Similar are the conclusions of most medical researchers who actually try to work their way past the smoke and mirrors to get to the real statistics.

In evaluating a therapeutic regimen, the only thing that really matters is death rate will a treatment significantly extend a patient’s life?

Not life as a vegetable, but the natural healthy independent lifespan of a human being.

Media stories and most articles in medical journals go to great lengths to hide the true numbers of people dying from cancer, by talking about other issues.

In Questioning Chemotherapy,

Moss talks about several of the ways they do it :

Response rate is a favorite.

If a dying patient’s condition changes even for a week or a month, especially if the tumor shrinks temporarily, the patient is listed as having “responded to” chemotherapy.

No joke! The fact that the tumor comes back stronger soon after chemo is stopped, is not figured into the equation.

The fact that the patient has to endure horrific side effects in order to temporarily shrink the tumor is not considered.

That fact that the patient soon dies is not figured into the equation.

The idea is to sell, sell, and sell. Sell chemotherapy.

Also in the media we find the loud successes chemotherapy has had on certain rare types of cancer, like childhood leukemia, and Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

But for the vast majority of cancer cases, chemo is a failure. Worse yet, a toxic one.

Even with Hodgkins, one of chemo’s much-trumpeted triumphs, the cure is frequently a success, but the patient dies.

He just doesn’t die of Hodgkins disease, that’s all. In the 1994 Journal of the National Cancer Institute, they published a 47-year study of more than 10,000 patients with Hodgkins lymphoma, who were treated with chemotherapy.

Even though there was success with the Hodgkins itself, these patients encountered an incidence of leukemia that was six times the normal rate.

This is a very common type of reported success within the cancer industry again, the life of the patient is not taken into account.

Another thing is, in evaluating any treatment, there must be a risk/ benefit analysis. a carefully standardized protocol for measuring the actual risks vs. the proven, unvarnished positive outcomes from the procedure being studied.

A very fundamental part of the scientific method.

Due to gigantic economic pressures fearful of the results, such evaluation has been systematically put aside in the U.S. chemotherapy industry for the past 40 years.

Primarily because a favorable report would be impossible, considering the toxic nature of the drugs involved.

The bi-phasic effect : why chemo doesn't work?

Every time we put a drug in our body, two things happen :

1. what the drug initially does to the body

2. how the body adapts to the drug

Any example will do. Antibiotics?

First, the drug kills all bacteria in the body.

Then the body responds by growing them back, often with the bad bacteria out of balance, which come back in more powerful, mutated forms.

Steroids?

First, muscles are built because testosterone has been mimicked.

Then the body responds by cutting production of natural testosterone, which eventually feminizes the athlete by shrinking the gonads.

Heroin?

First it blocks the pain receptors and sends happy hormones called endorphins through the body, giving an overall feeling of wonderfulness.

The body responds, by getting so used to this euphoria that when the heroin is stopped, the reality of pain receptors going back to work again is unbearable.

Obviously these are simplifications, but you get the idea.

The Bi-Phasic Effect is well-explained by Dr Dean Black and many other researchers who were trying to figure out why tumors seemed to come back with such a vengeance after chemotherapy.

Some original work was done by American Cancer Society researcher Robert Schimke in 1.985, who discovered that the way cancer cells resist chemotherapy is to replicate even harder and faster.

Chemo drugs are lethal to all cells; so the cancer cells are stimulated to try and survive any way they can, which means faster growth. In the presence of any toxin, cells will resist it to stay alive. The more they resist, the stronger they get.

Black sees cancer itself as just such an adaptation; a normal response to an abnormal poison.

Chemotherapy simply provokes adaptation.

This is why we all know people who have had chemotherapy and experienced temporary remission.

But when the tumor came back, it did so with a vengeance, and the patient was quickly overwhelmed. All too common.

Schimke talks about the possible effects on a tumor that otherwise may have been self-limiting:

“Might such treatments convert relatively benign tumors into more lethal forms?” – Robert Schimke p. 1.915.

Think about this the next time you hear an oncologist talk about “mopping up” with powerful chemo drugs just to be sure we “got it all.

” Or prescribing powerful chemotherapy for a “pre-cancerous” or even a benign situation. You don’t introduce cell-killers unless you absolutely have to.

These drugs kills normal cells, by definition.

The Bi-Phasic Effect is also called the Rebound Phenomenon.

The drugs attack the tumor cells, which then resist and rebound twice as strong, often mutating in the process.

In the above study, Robert Schimke noted that with chemo combos the rebound effect may bring about a tumor cell proliferation rate which may be 100 times faster than before.

Cytotoxic

is the word that describes chemotherapeutic drugs. It means “cell-killing.”

Chemo-therapy kills all the cells of the body, not just the cancer cells. The risk is that chemo will kill the patient before it kills the cancer.

Which often happens.

Therefore the only question that should be asked when deciding whether or not to begin chemo is this: will this drug prolong the patient’s natural lifespan?

Not his drugged ICU horror-movie lifespan – his natural lifespan.

The unadorned data say no.

Breast cancer

Which today 1 in 8 American women may expect, is an obvious area of confusion and misinformation.

A professor at Northwestern U School of Medicine, Dr. Edward Scanlon stated :

“over a period of 100 years, breast cancer treatment has evolved from no treatment to radical treatment and back again with more conservative management, without having affected mortality.” Journal of the American Medical Association.

In their next mood swing, the medical consensus, whatever that means, reverted toward more radical mastectomy again.

In an article from the New York Times, a new Mayo Clinic study being published in the New England Journal of Medicine, backtracked to a former position.

Bilateral radical mastectomy of healthy breasts supposedly “reduces the risk of getting breast cancer” by 90%! I am not making this up.

Obviously, if a woman doesn’t have breasts, how can she get breast cancer?

This type of insanity a recommendation to remove healthy breasts with the idea to prevent a disease a woman doesn’t have makes you wonder what’s next.

How about euthanasia? that way the patient will have a zero percent chance of ever getting any disease again.

What effects are these fickle, intellectualized medical opinions having on death rate? None.

Actually it’s worse than ever.

From the same hard data sources cited above, Vital Statistics, we can look up the actual death rate for breast cancer:

1970— 14.3

1979— 15.4

1989— 17.4

1991— 17.4

By 2.005, the figure had climbed to 24 deaths per 100,000, according to CDC. [www.cdc.gov/Features/dsBreastCancerTrends/].

Yet virtually all articles on breast cancer for the past 2 years have headlines of death rate down from breast cancer.

How does that work?

Early mammograms: no effect.

Chemotherapy: no effect.

Surgery: no effect.

Figures like the above are extremely well hidden and can only be unearthed with great effort.

A netsearch can instantly turn up 100 articles on the latest chemotherapy drugs and their anticipated “breakthroughs” and “response rates” that have always been “just around the corner” since 1.971.

Every week shows dozens of magazine and newspaper articles spouting the “latest thing” in chemotherapy.

This is world class dog-wagging.

Mammograms

Way back in 1.976, the American Cancer Society itself and its colleague the National Cancer Institute terminated the routine use of mammography for women under the age of 50 because of its “detrimental” (carcinogenic) effects.

A large study done in Canada in 1992 found that women who had routine mammograms before the age of 50 also had increased death rates from breast cancer, by 36%.

John McDougall MD made a thorough review of mammograms. He points out that the $13 billion per year generated by mammograms controls the information that women get.

Fear and incomplete data are the tools commonly used to persuade women to get routine mammograms. What is clear is that mammography cannot prevent breast cancer or even the spread of breast cancer.

By the time a tumor is large enough to be detected by mammography, it has been there as long as 12 years! It is therefore ridiculous to advertise mammography as “early detection.

McDougall’s paper Early Detection is a must read for anyone considering mammogram.

The other unsupportable illusion is that mammograms prevent breast cancer, which they don’t.

On the contrary, the painful compression of breast tissue during the procedure itself can increase the possibility of metastasis by as much as 80%! Dr. McDougall notes that a between 10 and 17% of the time, breast cancer is a self-limiting non-life-threatening type called ductal carcinoma in situ.

This harmless cancer can be made active by the compressive force of routine mammography.

More recent data on mammograms was brought to light through the research of Samuel Epstein MD.

In a 2.009 interview, Epstein reminds us that 5 radiologists have been recent presidents of the American Cancer Society.

This might help to explain why routine annual mammograms have been their standard recommendation for years, despite any proven upside.

The mammogram business is extremely lucrative and very competitive. ACS ads consistently make unsupported claims of 100% detection, with no clinical studies whatsoever to back it up.

Without question, the biggest danger of mammograms is ionizing radiation. That means the mammogram itself can be the cause of cancer.

A woman who gets a yearly mammogram for 10 years would get the same cumulative radiation as a woman standing one mile away from Ground Zero at Hiroshima, according to Epstein and others.

Prostate cancer

is one of the worst areas of chemotherapy abuse, according to Norman Zinner, MD.

He states:

“Most men with prostate cancer will die from other illnesses never knowing they had the problem.”

Early detection of prostate cancer has resulted in thousands of men being treated for a condition that would have been self-limiting.

No figures are available for those who have died from the side effects of treatment when the condition would never have caused any problems or symptoms during the patient’s entire lifetime.

Composer Frank Zappa, now decomposing, found out this fact before he died at 52, but it was too late. Some studies show rates as high as 40% in autopsies of men over 70 in which prostate cancer was discovered which the patient never knew about, and which was not the cause of death. (American Cancer Society, 1.995).

There are no randomized clinical trials proving that chemotherapy for prostate cancer increases long term survival.

Au contraire, a 1.992 study published in JAMA demonstrated that there was no difference in 10 year survival rate between the men who did nothing at all and those who had treatment. (Johansson).

Irrepressible in the dog-and-pony show for prostate cancer : palladium implants.

A couple hundred radioactive implants each about the size of a grain of rice are sewn into the scrotum with the unproven claim that the radioactive grains will kill the cancer cells!

Many undiscriminating men buy this unproven method every year, ignoring the fact that radioactivity from the implants is also delivering ionizing radiation to the normal prostate and generative cells in that area, thus acting as a powerful carcinogen.

This preposterous and still experimental procedure harks back to the days of radium implants in the blood, a very popular procedure in the 1950s, when the Big Three were surgery, radiation, and radium implants.

No cancer was ever cured from radium.

Even though it was finally replaced by chemotherapy, which has roughly the same success, these implants continue to be hawked today.

Here’s why palladium implants are unlikely to work: it’s not the prostate that has cancer; it’s the man himself. Cancer is systemic it’s all through you.

Side effects of chemotherapy

It’s already a word game.

Drugs don’t really have side effects.

They just have effects.

When you say side effects you’re acquiescing to the illusion that we can direct the action of these wildly reactive pharmacological agents to the exact systems of the body we want, and make them bring about the exact results we desire.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Even more so in the case of chemotherapy where there’s almost never any upside.

Since chemo drugs are some of the most toxic substances ever designed, their effects are very serious, and are often the direct cause of death.

Like the case of Jackie Kennedy, who underwent chemo for one of the rare diseases in which it generally has some beneficial results : non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

She went into the hospital on Friday and was dead by Tuesday.

What happened?

Most of that type patients survive, but even the ones that don’t usually won’t die for a year or so.

Some sources imagined that since this was such a high profile patient, they’d given her an “extra strong” dose to “kill the cancer” faster.

Unfortunately they miscalculated : there was a patient attached.

Remember this : cancer is a general condition that localizes rather than a local condition which generalizes.

That’s the main reason chemotherapy and radiation don’t work.

Aside from the standard hair loss, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and digestive trauma, many chemotherapy drugs have other specific severe effects.

Most have an immediate suppressive effect on bone marrow. This is where new blood cells are normally being produced all the time.

This is the #1 way chemo knocks out the immune system, at the one time in your life you need it the most.

And that is precisely the strongest argument against chemotherapy: immune annihilation just when the body is struggling to marshall all its resources in order to survive.

Chemotherapy drugs have an entire array of effects, possibly the worst being immediate destruction of the gastric mucosa, which explains loss of appetite, which means the patient cannot heal since starvation is being set up.

Other effects include accelerated osteoporosis, kidney damage, liver fibrosis, psychosis, arteritis, blood disease, and cartilage destruction in the joints.

This is just a partial list of some of the more common side effects, but it really makes you wonder: are these effects really worth the possible benefit of temporary tumor shrinkage with no proven increase in survival?

People rarely ‘get better’ with chemotherapy. If they recover, it’s in spite of it.

All chemo drugs are extremely hard on the liver, because that’s the organ whose job is to try and break down toxins that have made it past the digestive tract.

Liver fibrosis is a very common sequella of methotrexate.

Why not drano ?

The beginning of the hype that promised to cure all cancer by means of chemo drugs, came as an offshoot of the postwar excitement with the success of antibiotics and the sulfa drugs.

Caught up in the heady atmosphere of visions of money and power in vanquishing cancer, Memorial Sloan-Kettering began to make extravagant claims that to this day have never been realized.

Some 400,000 “cytotoxins” were tested by Sloan-Kettering and the National Cancer Institute.

The criterion in order to be tested were: will the toxin kill some of the tumor cells before it kills the patient.

That’s it! Many were brand new synthetic compounds.

But thousands of others were existing poisons which were simply refined. Finally about 50 drugs made the cut, and are still the basis of today’s chemotherapy medicine cabinet.

Popular chemotherapy drugs

It is startling to discover what chemotherapy drugs are made from.

The first ones were made from mustard gas contained in the weapons that killed so many soldiers in WW I, eventually outlawed by the Geneva Convention.

In the 1.930s, Memorial Sloan-Kettering quietly began to treat breast cancer with these mustard gas derivatives.

No one was cured.

More Nitrogen mustard chemotherapy trials were conducted at Yale around 1.943. 160 patients were treated.

No one was cured.

Despite this track record, the major derivative methotrexate gradually gained popularity over the decades.

Methotrexate has been one of the most common chemotherapy drugs for the past 25 years.

The fact that it’s still at the top of the list and that cancer survival has not improved during that period tells the story.

As Methotrexate begins to kill the body’s cells, it causes bleeding ulcers, bone marrow suppression, lung damage, and kidney damage.

It also causes “severe anemia, and has triggered or intensified cancerous tumors.

Other common effects are permanent sclerosing (hardening) of the veins, blood clotting, and destruction of skin and mucous membranes.

Cytoxan is another of the most common chemo drugs. Besides the “normal” side effects, it causes urinary bleeding, lung disease, and heart damage.

This preposterous sentence actually appears at webmd.com as a rationale for Cytoxan :

“Cytoxan also works by decreasing your immune system’s response to various diseases.”

And decreasing response to disease is going to benefit any patient exactly how?

They can print ridiculous sentences like this largely because nobody reads them. Most patients sheepishly accept whatever drugs the doctor dreams up, without question.

It’s truly marketing from heaven unquestioned compliance, even if ordered to suicide.

Cisplatin

Appearing in the 1.980s, one of the newer chemo agents is Cisplatin, which has as its base one of the most toxic heavy metals known to man: platinum.

The way this horror works is that the platinum rings clog up the cell DNA so forcefully that the cell initiates its own early death sequence (apoptosis.)

Despite this level of toxicity and long term side effects from the permanent bioaccumulation of the heavy metal, cisplatin remains the drug of choice for most cases of sarcoma, small cell lung cancer, germ cell tumors, lymphoma, and ovarian cancer. Cisplatin all but destroys the immune system.

Another popular chemo drug is a sheep-deworming agent known as Levamisole.

It has been around for 60 years.

With no major clinical trial ever showing significant increased long term survival with Levamisole, it is still a standard chemotherapy agent even today!

The weirdness is, Levamisole was included for its “immune system modulation” properties. However, its major actions include:

- decreased white cell count

- flu symptoms

- nausea

- abdominal cramps

- dizziness

Some immune booster!

A 1.994 major study of Levamisole written up in the British Journal of cancer showed almost double the survival rate using a placebo instead of Levamisole!

The utter mystification over why this poison continues to be used as a standard component of chemo cocktails can be cleared up by considering one simple fact: when Levamisole was still a sheep de-wormer, it cost $1 per year.

When the same amount was suddenly relabeled as a cancer drug given to humans, it cost $1200 per year.

Today Levamisole is also used to cut cocaine, as much as 70% of the US supply. (SF Chronicle 29 Dec 09 .

It is still used as a veterinary deworming drug for sheep and horses, and continues to be one of the most popular chemotherapy drugs, especially with colon cancer.

Interleukin - 2

Is another colossal failure.

When the oncologist starts talking about interleukin-2, it’s usually time to start thinking about where you put all those Neptune Society papers, because by then the big stuff has been pretty much tried and met with its usual failure.

The brilliant sales job behind interleukin-2 and other ‘vaccine’-type cytokine agents is that now we’re gonna transform the patient’s lymphocytes into an army of killer T-cells, which will then descend on those troublesome cancer cells and “root them out of there.”

Just one problem with this theory: no foreign antigens have ever been identified in tumor cells.

And that’s the only way that lymphocytes work – destroying foreign antigens – the not-self cells.

So even if the T-cell count can be boosted, there is simply no way these lymphocytes can be directed at cancer cells, because the cancer cells don’t appear that different from normal cells.

That’s why they were able to grow in the first place.

The other vexatious feature of interleukin-2 therapy is that because of its last-ditch status, the patient’s immune system is generally so depressed there’s simply not much of it left to work with.

Once your immune system’s gone, so are you. And interleukin’s side effects are often the worst of any cancer drug.

Professor George Annas, a medical ethicist, who analyzed the original controlled clinical trails done at the National Cancer Institute on interleukin-2 was slightly less than festive about interleukin-2 for patients:

“more than 80% of the patients did not do any better and they actually did worse. They died harder.

That’s not irrelevant.

We always tend to concentrate on the survivors, but we’ve got to make the point that 80 per cent had terrific side effects and didn’t get any measurable increase in longevity.”- New York Times 3 Mar 94

Dr. Martin Shapiro agreed:

“revelations about the apparent ineffectiveness of the experimental cancer drug interleukin-2 are but the tip of an iceberg of misrepresentation and misunderstanding about cancer drug treatments in general.” - Los Angeles Times 9 Jan 87

The same interleukin-2 is still used today, all over the country.

Chemo for non - cancer cases

In a desperate attempt for new revenues, a brilliant new marketing technique for chemo emerged in the 2000s: prescribing chemo drugs for non-cancer cases.

This off-label prescribing is now so rampant that it is impossible to track or even estimate its extent.

By virtue of his license, any MD can prescribe most drugs for any diagnosis he chooses. Laws absolutely protect him from being sued, no matter what happens to the patient.

So for the past 10 years we are now seeing these very expensive chemotherapy drugs being routinely prescribed for many other untested unrelated conditions.

To list just a few :

endometriosis

infertility

benign prostatic hypertrophy

pneumonitis

vasculitis

lupus

dermatomyositis

What kind of money are we talking about here ?

Very difficult to count how many patients are receiving chemotherapy per year.

If the real focus were health care, and monitoring the effectiveness of a cure, why wouldn’t there be extensive inter-hospital data bases to follow up on successful treatment?

That doesn’t exist.

What can be tracked is the amount of cytotoxic drugs sold by the pharmaceutical companies.

This amount grew from $3 billion in 1989 to over $13 billion in 1.998.

By 2.008 the figure was $48 billion, projected to reach $80 billion by 2011. (Berkrot).

These figures are chemotherapy drugs sales only, not taking into account professional or hospital fees associated with treatment.

Total spending for cancer treatment just in the US was reported at over $90 billion by 2008, but today is obviously much higher.

Dose - limiting

A funny phrase that doctors use when talking about chemotherapy is “dose-limiting” treatment.

All that means is that if the dose is not limited, the patient dies.

It is inexplicable when patients tell me their family’s chemotherapy stories, usually involving a family member, in which they talk about toward the end, where the doctors gave the patient “5 times” or “20 times” the lethal dose!

We hear this all the time, and when you really get what they’re saying, the level of barbarity is appalling.

The doctors are saying at the end, well it’s hopeless so we may as well give him 5 or 20 times the normal dose of an already poisonous drug, what difference will it make?

We tried our best.

Totally forgetting that the patient even while dying is a human being, and the goal wasn’t to kill the tumor; it was to save the patient.

Or are they saying, quick this guy is dying, the insurance is still running…?

When any chemotherapeutic drug is spilled in the hospital or anywhere en route, it is classified as a major biohazard, requiring the specialists to come and clean it up with their space-suits and all their HazMat protocols.

Yet this same agent is going to be put into the human body and is expected to cure it of disease?

What’s wrong with this picture?

Metaphors of war

From its inception, mainstream cancer theory has always used military terms :

the war on cancer

killing the tumor cells

killer T cells

stopping the advance

powerful drugs as weapons

fighting the cancer

nuke the tumor

This type of thinking is so pervasive that it’s become second nature for most of us.

The very failure of the entire cancer industry to slow the death rate over the past fifty years, despite the cooked figures, may indicate that perhaps it’s time to look for another paradigm.

It’s imponderable that doctors continue to prescribe volatile poisons which they know will not prolong their lives, may well kill the patient, and the only way they can convince the patients is by devious high pressure sales techniques completely misrepresentative of actual expectations…all this simply because it’s their only tool?

This can’t be an acceptable excuse.

You don’t want to believe that things are really this perverse, but in most cases due diligence will bear it out.

Who are the quacks ?

The American Cancer Society and the FDA have a list of “Unproven Methods” for cancer, which they attack with their full measure of invective both directly and using their many covers.

As you might expect, the criteria for getting on this list are predictable :

- a natural form

- non-toxic

- not produced by the Drug Industry

- easily available without a prescription

- inexpensive

- non-patentable

Even though chemotherapy and radiation and palladium implants are completely unproven themselves, and frequently are the cause of death themselves, they are not on the Unproven List.

Why not?

Because they’re expensive, can be completely controlled, and are patentable.

This last deserves some explanation.

In order for a drug to be approved by the FDA, the manufacturer must do years of clinical trials, which may cost anywhere between 100 – 300 million dollars.

Now if a company is going to spend that kind of money, they don’t want some other company stealing their formula after they’ve gone to all that trouble developing it.

Their guarantee is called a patent legally it’s their drug and no one can copy it for 17 years.

Do you think after all that trouble, a drug company wants somebody to come along with a totally cheap, available, and natural product which has the same effect as their drug, yet with none of the side effects? Of course not!

And do you think they’ll do everything they can both legally and politically to prevent natural products from reaching the market?

You better believe it.

Natural cures for cancer

Many of the effective natural cures for cancer which have come along in the past 75 years have faced a tidal wave of opposition from the FDA/AMA/Drug Trust. (Richard Walters’s Options.

Some of these natural cures are still around in the US, though they are under attack.

Others can only be obtained in Mexico or Europe.

And still others have been crushed out of existence for good – disappeared without a trace, in the Age of Repressed Technology.

You can do the historical research yourself on some of the following products and innovators :

William Kelley, Hoxsey, Gaston Naessens, Max Gerson, Kurt Donsbach, William Koch, Lawrence Burton, Dr. Stan Burzynski, Dr Stan Bynum, enzyme therapy, Patrick Flanagan, 714x, Haelan, antineoplastins, raw foods, live cell therapy, ozone, peroxide, EDTA chelation, Laetrile, Coley vaccines, DCA, Hydrazine sulfate, Hans Nieper, JH Tilden, the Rife machine, the black box, Black Magic, avemar, etc.

This is a partial list.

Many names have been lost forever.

Separately or in combination, these methods and these healers in all likelihood have resolved cancer in thousands of cases during the past 75 years.

Some of the technology is gone other methods can still be located.

What they have in common is that they are non-patentable generally natural methods which have no significant side effects, and work with one common goal: strengthen the immune system.

The above names were not people whose first goal was to make personal fortunes and lock their discoveries away from those who wanted to copy them.

The pharmaceutical industry has what can only be described as a de facto monopoly on cancer treatment in this country.

Their stated goal is not curing cancer or helping people die with dignity, or trying to discover a cure, or relieving pain, or giving Americans a better life.

Their stated goal is return on investment for their stockholders.

Certainly no secret, and they have proven for the past century that there are no limits they will observe to secure their control of what has become a $100 billion per year industry. If this sounds harsh or paranoid, start perusing the appended reference list and you’ll notice how unfamiliar it looks.

Try and find one single treatment on the FDA’s “Unproven Methods” list that is patentable as a drug.

Alternatives

A reasonable alternative would focus on wholeness, on health, on only giving the body something that will immediately improve its healing capabilities.

Support the immune system and the body’s natural healing powers.

The body’s resistance is already run down; so let’s only introduce substances and nutrients which will have a direct healing and immuno-enhancing effect.

Here are four self-evident lines of action, all of which will nourish and support whatever immune system you’re still in possession of.

And I must admit that I have seen amazing results in individual cases.

One such remedy is DCA.

I have had several patients recover from serious metastasized lymphoma situations by taking this very inexpensive and simple powder.

There is an enormous study being carried out today in Canada using tens of millions of dollars to prove the effectiveness of DCA.

In the US, sale has been forbidden since 2009, in keeping with our policy of protecting the drug trade before the health of the patient.

I imagine that several of the other remedies have been successful with natural treatment of cancer as well, but I seriously doubt that any long term health benefit can result without a complete overhaul of the lifestyle: diet, water, detox, mental outlook. The 60 Day Program.

There are many clinics in Mexico and other offshore locales, plus a host of low profile alternative therapies used in Europe as well as here in the U.S.

Proven superiority to conventional treatment?

Who knows?

Who would fund a study like that?

The quality of life, however, is generally better with the alternative route, that seems logical.

In addition, the incidence of real recoveries seems probable with the alternative approach, since holistic methods try to boost the immune system instead of killing it.

Moreover, the holistically-inclined patient may be more self-reliant and more willing to take personal responsibility and initiative for healing, rather than just to sit back and expect the “magic of modern technology” to do all the work.

A famous healer once remarked that there’s a big difference between being afraid to die and wanting to live.

A lonely road

Perhaps the greatest difficulty in embarking on a holistic program for cancer is not the discipline required by the program itself.

Neither is it the time it required, the money involved, or the newness of the lifestyle.

The biggest obstacle is the solitude of it all you’ll be swimming upstream, by yourself.

Chances are you will not get support from your family doctor, any medical professionals, or your family.

Chances are you will be attacked and ridiculed by any of the above for not following mainstream slash-and-burn protocols.

I have seen many patients who were initially open to the holistic approach buckle under pressure from the family to be “sensible” and follow the tried and true. Invariably, they died on schedule, because they didn’t want to “upset anybody.”

This is one time in your life that it’s OK to upset people, the one time that’s it’s fine to be completely selfish.

You have a right to your own life, no matter how politically incorrect that notion becomes. If you actually do the research beginning with the appended references, it is virtually impossible not to arrive at a similar conclusion: that mainstream cancer treatment is rarely effective and exists primarily for the benefit of the cancer industry itself, not you.

If you go along with their program, it is likely that at some point you will learn the truth of this reality. For most, that point comes too late.

If you suspect there may be some validity to what I’m saying, you owe it to yourself to investigate it thoroughly on your own before you submit to even the mildest of chemotherapies. I promise, you will be no match for the masterful stairstepping of procedures and testing that awaits you, dangling little improvements with enticements to try this or that drug because “It’s really not that toxic” or the standard “now this won’t cure your cancer, but it will slow it down,” or the Oscar-winning “it’s OK to take some of your herbs or natural products along with the chemotherapy/radiation/surgery.

They won’t interfere.” Like they would know.

Oncologists are getting increasingly sophisticated at tricking the frightened, uninformed patient and his family into accepting the standard worthless drugs and surgical procedures.

One of the newest ploys is telling the patient that “we have something special for your type of case, an experimental drug, just developed.”

This one is used with patients who are beginning to question the toxicity of chemo and need a little extra hope.

Then they find out later that the drug was not new at all, but was one of the standard poisons, like methyltrexate, that has been around for the past 25 years.

By then it’s too late, because the patient is so debilitated he’ll do anything the doctor says.

If the reader agrees with nothing I have said so far, but has less than 100% confidence in the hospital’s ability to cure your cancer, get behind this: follow none of my recommendations. Do nothing: no doctors, no treatment, mainstream or holistic.

Go home and live your life. For the majority of cancers, no one can tell you with any authority that you are doing anything “high risk.”

There are simply too few statistics on cancer people who don’t get some form of chemotherapy and radiation.

Last chance

You just found out you got cancer and want to go holistic?

Fine.

You’ve got one chance. Go for it 100% diet, detox, supplements, major cardio exercise, eliminate all negative input.

Starting this minute.

You can’t have one foot in each world. It’s either holistic or mainstream – no middle ground.

Conventional therapies are so damaging and powerful that to pretend like their monstrous side effects can be easily repaired by holistic methods that’s idiotic.

The body is not a car.

So if you want to go holistic do it.

But if you want to go mainstream, which is what usually happens, then just do it, but don’t pretend everything is going to be fine when you come out of surgery or chemo or radiation if you just take a few MegaHydrate, etc.

This is big business, big money for them they’re not going to let a couple hundred thousand dollars just waltz out the door.

So stop wasting energy thinking you have to learn enough to convince these geniuses that they may be wrong, and there may be another way.

It’s not in their professional DNA to even consider an alternative, and definitely they have spent zero time researching alternative treatment.

People who choose the holistic path seriously inform themselves, make up their minds, then they unplug their phones and just do it..

That’s the real choice here.

Too much work to learn all this?

Fine.

Forget the whole thing, just write your will and party out, like ol’ Warren.

Because if you got cancer in the first place, it’s likely you’ve been overdrawn in the self indulgence department for a long time.

Your only chance is to sprint from morning to night, doing every single thing possible to detox your blood, bring more oxygen to the cells, boost your immune system, and generally try and make up for all those years of abuse.

In his master work, Quantum Healing, Deepak Chopra says that remissions of cancer in “terminal” patients have one thing in common : a major shift in attitude or consciousness.

The internet is overwhelming with promises of holistic cures for cancer.

Trying to do all of them together would probably be enough to kill a horse, even though they’re natural approaches.

Choose the program that make the most sense to you, that you have access to, and whose representatives give you a feeling of confidence and trust.

Then really try the method – do it the exact way the experts tell you, with consistency, focus, and follow-through.

Since you’re a patient, be patient.

Don’t just give it your best shot; do whatever it takes 150%.

And daily visualize wholeness and completeness of your entire body. Do the deed.

The time is going to go by anyway.

Alternative cancer treatments

Alternative cancer treatments describes alternative and complementary treatments for cancer that have not been approved by the government agencies responsible for the regulation of therapeutic goods.

They include diet and exercise, chemicals, herbs, devices, and manual procedures.

The treatments may be untested or unsupported by evidence, either because no proper testing has been conducted, or because testing did not demonstrate statistically significant efficacy.

Concerns have been raised about the safety of some of them.

Alternative cancer treatments are typically contrasted with experimental cancer treatments, which are treatments for which experimental testing is currently underway.

All currently approved chemotherapeutic cancer treatments were considered experimental cancer treatments before their safety and efficacy testing was completed.

Such therapies can be categorized broadly into three groups: alternative treatments offered as a substitute to standard medical treatment; alternative treatments as an addition to standard treatment; and treatments proposed in the past that have been found in clinical trials to be useless and/or unsafe.

Some of these obsolete or disproven treatments continue to be promoted, sold, and used.

Since the 1.940s, medical science has developed chemotherapy, radiation therapy, adjuvant therapy and the newer targeted therapies, as well as refining surgical techniques for removing cancer.

Before the development of these modern, evidence-based treatments, 90% of cancer patients died within five years.

With modern mainstream treatments, only 34% of cancer patients die within five years.

However, while generally prolonging life or permanently curing cancer, most effective, mainstream forms of cancer treatment have side effects ranging from unpleasant to fatal, and permanent cures are not guaranteed.

These side effects and the uncertainty of success create appeal for alternative treatments for cancer, which purport to cause fewer side effects or to increase survival rates.

Alternative cancer treatments have typically not undergone properly conducted, well-designed clinical trials.

Among those that have been published, the methodology is often poor.

A 2.006 systematic review of 214 articles covering 198 clinical trials of alternative cancer treatments concluded that almost none conducted dose-ranging studies, which are necessary to ensure that the patients are being given a useful amount of the treatment.

These kinds of treatments appear and vanish frequently, and have throughout history.

Complementary versus alternative treatments

Complementary and alternative cancer treatments are often grouped together, but this grouping is controversial.

Definitions vary, but generally speaking, the same methods that are called "complementary" when given alongside mainstream treatments are "alternative" when they are not.

Thus it is not the specific treatment, per se, that is actually "complementary" or "alternative", but the context in which it is used.

Complementary therapies receive more support within the mainstream medical community than alternative treatments.

Complementary treatments are used in conjunction with proven mainstream treatments.

They tend to be pleasant for the patient, not involve substances with any pharmacological effects, inexpensive, and intended to treat side effects rather than to kill cancer cells.

Medical massage and self-hypnosis to treat pain are examples of complementary treatments.

A 2.006 systematic review of the effectiveness of complementary techniques in reducing pain concluded that although several seemed promising, conclusive evidence was lacking.

Alternative treatments, by contrast, are used in place of mainstream treatments.

The most popular alternative cancer therapies are various, generally strict diets, including the macrobiotic diet.

Other therapies include mind-body interventions, bioelectromagnetics, nutritional supplements, and herbs.

The popularity and prevalence of different treatments varies widely by region.

People who choose alternative treatments

People who choose alternative treatments tend to believe that evidence-based medicine is ineffective, while still believing that their own health could be improved.

They are impressed by physiological and other scientific-sounding information, prefer a healthcare model that treats the patient as an integrated, whole person, and are loyal to their alternative healthcare providers.

Cancer patients who choose complementary or alternative treatments in addition to conventional treatments believe themselves less likely to die than patients who choose only conventional treatments.

They feel a greater sense of control over their destinies, and report less anxiety and depression.

However, patients who use alternative treatments have a poorer survival time, even after controlling for type and stage of disease.

This may be because patients who accurately perceive that they are likely to survive do not attempt unproven remedies, and patients who accurately perceive that they are unlikely to survive are attracted to unproven remedies.

Among patients who believe their condition to be untreatable by evidence-based medicine, "desperation drives them into the hands of anyone with a promise and a smile."

Con artists have long exploited fear, ignorance, and desperation to strip dying people of their money, comfort, and dignity.

About half the practitioners who dispense complementary or alternative treatments are physicians, although they tend to be generalists rather than oncologists.

As many as 60% of physicians have referred their patients to a complementary or alternative practitioner for some purpose.

Examples of alternative treatment

None of the cancer treatments on this list have substantial evidence for their effectiveness in treating cancer.

Some have shown some benefits as complementary therapy, to reduce pain.

Very few suppliers of alternative medicines have undertaken scientifically controlled clinical trials for their products, although occasional preliminary testing, or testing as adjuvant therapy, has been performed.

For this reason, alternative therapies generally rely on testimonial or anecdotal evidence.

Alternative theories of cancer

Some alternative cancer treatments are based on unproven or disproven theories of how cancer begins or is sustained in the body.

Some common concepts are :

Mind-body connection : This idea says that cancer forms because of, or can be controlled through, the person's mental and emotional state.

Treatments based on this idea are mind–body interventions.

Proponents say that cancer forms because the person is unhappy or stressed, or that a positive attitude can cure cancer after it has formed.

A typical claim is that stress, anger, fear, or sadness depresses the immune system, whereas that love, forgiveness, confidence, and happiness cause the immune system to improve, and that this improved immune system will destroy the cancer.

This belief is not supported by any scientific research : people with weak immune systems have about the same rate of cancer as people with healthy immune systems.

In fact, many cancers require the support of an active immune system to establish the tumor microenvironment necessary for a tumor to grow.

Toxin theory of cancer: In this idea, the body's metabolic processes are overwhelmed by normal, everyday byproducts.

These byproducts, called "toxins", are said to build up in the cells and cause cancer and other diseases through a process sometimes called autointoxication or autotoxemia.

Treatments following this approach are usually aimed at detoxification or body cleansing, such as enemas.

Low activity by the immune system : This claim asserts that if only the immune system were strong enough, it would kill the "invading" or "foreign" cancer.

Unfortunately, most cancer cells retain normal cell characteristics, making them appear to the immune system to be a normal part of the body.

These treatments often focus on substance said to increase the immune system's activity.

Supposed situations within the body : In this idea, the body is incapable of coping with transient or local differences.

For example, proponents will say that a transient lack of oxygen in a small area of the body causes cancer, or that clothing prevents normal circulation and thereby causes cancer.

Hypothetical microorganisms : While infections are a significant cause of certain kinds of cancer (e.g., Hepatitis B can cause liver cancer, and some human papillomaviruses cause cervical cancer), these stories usually assert that the harmless bacteria and fungi normally present in or on the body cause cancer, or that organisms only detectable by the proponent cause cancer.

Regulatory action

Government agencies around the world routinely investigate purported alternative cancer treatments in an effort to protect their citizens from fraud and abuse.

In 2.008, the United States Federal Trade Commission acted against companies that made unsupported claims that their products, some of which included highly toxic chemicals, could cure cancer.

Gene Therapy Brings Three Cancer Patients Back From Death’s Door; What Now?

Modified immune cells decimated chronic lymphocytic leukemia, scientists found.

What’s the News : Striking results in a very small study have got the web a-buzz about a new cancer treatment.

With three leukemia patients at the ends of their ropes, scientists modified some of their immune cells with a gene that enabled them to hunt down cancer cells.

Remarkably, the treatment wiped out more than two pounds of tumor tissue in each patient, and the three have now been in remission for a year.

But what weight does such a small study carry, what about the side effects, and what do these results mean for people with other cancers?

How the Heck:

First, the team removed immune cells called T cells from each of the patients, who had chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a cancer affecting blood cells called B cells.

They had a lab-built virus insert a gene for a protein that would recognize a specific tag appearing only on the surface of B cells, as well as genes for two other proteins involved in the process, into the T cells.

(This kind of treatment, called gene therapy, has been of interest in treating cancer for some time.)

The team then injected each patient’s own T cells back into their blood, where they began attacking the cancer cells, whose death the team confirmed with blood tests and other measurements.

Taking counts of the patients’ cells, they estimate that each modified T cell must have hunted down and killed a thousand cancer cells.

Before the treatment, the ratio of cancer cells to normal cells in the bone marrow was horrifying: in one patient, 170 out of 200 were cancerous.

Afterwards, that number was only 2 out of 200.

The modified T cells have remained in the patients, even months after the treatment, potentially contributing to the patients’ ongoing remission.

Not So Fast:

Cancer patients are routinely exposed to treatments much worse, at least in the short term, than the disease: killing cancer cells means killing a lot of healthy cells.

With this treatment, nearly all of the patients’ B cells, healthy and otherwise, were destroyed, and even months afterwards the B cells had not recovered.

Since this is the class of immune cells that produces antibodies, this loss could be quite serious in the long term, though all the rest of the patients’ cells were unharmed.

The team also notes that the mass murder of cancer cells provoked a serious response: the patients’ bodies were flooded with detritus from the bursting cells and inflammatory molecules produced by the immune system, some at 160 times the normal levels.

Their kidneys were in acute distress, and at least one had to be hospitalized because of it.

The researchers note that they are really going to have to pay attention to this when they’re designing larger studies.

Maybe the injections will be spread out more, or maybe not as many altered immune cells are required.

Additionally, one of the most exciting things about this study that the T cells stay in circulation and may keep destroying any cancer that crops up for years makes it quite different from, and possibly riskier than, most cancer treatments, which usually are purged from your body in a matter of weeks.

That means that the follow-up work to figure out what the T cells are doing, and whether they might be somehow dangerous in the long term, will be substantial.

What, for instance, will the indefinite lack of B cells mean? The FDA will need serious reassurance on these points, especially since gene therapy carries a risk of causing mutations in modified cells that might eventually turn them cancerous over the patient’s lifetime.

The Future Holds :

The next step for the researchers is much, much larger studies, incorporating the points raised above.

For all intents and purposes, this report is a case study, without the statistical power required for assessing a treatment’s usefulness in the population at large.

Researchers who focus on other cancers may also find it difficult to translate this success to their own patients: this team was able to make this work because they knew exactly what surface protein to target.

As they point out in their report, we don’t have analogous information for many other cancers.

And ideally, we’d find proteins that are specific to the cancer, not to the cell type, to avoid the problem this team is facing with B cells.

Cesium does not kill cancer cells

The Prime Cause and Prevention of Cancer - Cancer and Oxygen

Warburg investigated the metabolism of tumors and the respiration of cells, particularly cancer cells, and in 1.931 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his "discovery of the nature and mode of action of the respiratory enzyme".

In 1.944, Warburg was nominated a second time for the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work on the mechanism and enzymes involved in fermentation.

Where does cancer come from?

Cancer cells arise from a toxic chemical, biological, or radiation exposure.

Their DNA has been mutated, and they begin to reproduce abnormally fast.

Normally, the immune system recognizes cancer cells and isolates and destroys them without intervention.

A cloning experiment conducted on cancer cells showed that those very same cells can revert to healthy cells and result in the creation of a healthy organism, free of cancer.

This is ground-breaking new research on cancer because it shows that malignancy is not the inevitable fate of cancer cells.

There's more to this than you might suspect.

The official position on cancer by the National Cancer Institute and organized medicine has long been that cancer is not reversible once a person has cancer, they can never be cured.

New cancer treatment reprograms immune system

A small medical study out today is generating a huge amount of excitement among cancer researchers.

For the first time, scientists have been able to successfully target cancer cells by using cells from a patient's own immune system.

CBS News medical correspondent Dr. Jon LaPook reports that that the small study produced what researchers call "proof of concept."

It's a whole new way, of treating cancer.

Researchers engineered a patient's own immune cells to treat a type of blood cancer called chronic lymphocytic leukemia, or CLL.

CLL affects nearly 15,000 men and women a year and more than 4,000 will die from it.

For years, researchers have been trying to figure out a way to kill cancer cells using a patient's own immune system.

On Wednesday, Dr. Carl June and his team at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine claimed a victory in that effort.

"This is a form of what I would call ultimate personal therapy.

That's a wave of the future," June says.

CLL is a type of blood cancer.

The only known cure is a bone marrow transplant, which is risky, and only effective in about half of patients.

In this new approach, scientists used the patient's own T-cells - white blood cells that help fight infections such as bacteria.

Scientists remove the T-cells, genetically reprogram them to attack leukemia cells, and inject them back into the patient.

Researchers treated three patients with CLL. In two, the cancer cells were completely gone six months after the immune therapy.

"The clinical doctor involved in this was astonished and so were the patients that a single infusion of the cells could have such pronounced anti-tumor effects in the patients," Dr. June says.

This new treatment does have significant side-effects.

The most common is a very bad flu-like illness, but so far all 3 patients who had incurable leukemia and no other options are doing well about a year after treatment.

This form of treatment is like giving a scent to a bloodhound.

These T-cells have been given the scent of the leukemia cells and go hunt them down.

The hope is to give T-cells the scent of colon cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer and train them go out and kill all kinds of cancers.

Homeopathy is a sub-system of natural health care in which extreme dilutions of substances from nature are used to stimulate a healing response.

The basic principle of homeopathy is that substances that elicit a particular symptom picture in their physical form (for example onion causing itchy watery eyes and a runny nose with discharge that burns) can be used in a diluted form to stimulate the healing of the same set of symptoms.

Using this principle, a homeopath working with an individual that suffers from allergies (with the specific symptoms of watery itchy eyes and a runny nose with discharge that burns) might select homeopathic onion.

Homeopathic pharmaceutical companies prepare homeopathic dilutions according to FDA guidelines.

Once completed, the diluted substances are called “remedies”.

Most remedies are derived from plants (such as Belladonna or Pulsatilla), and minerals (such as Phosphorous and Silica).

A smaller portion are derived from animal substances (such as dog’s milk or dolphin’s milk). Remedy symptom pictures are derived from research studies called “provings”.

Once completed, proving information is recorded in homeopathic materia medicas (large reference books), and homeopathic material medica software.

The role of a professional homeopath is to understand the symptom pictures of a large number of remedies, and then to be able to select the remedy that most closely matches the symptom picture of the patient. (This is called the similimum.)

When this match is achieved that is, the symptom picture of the remedy matches the symptom picture of the individual suffering from a disease pattern the individual’s innate healing ability is activated and healing occurs.

Are there research studies in homeopathy?

Yes, there are a significant number of studies completed in the US and Europe on various aspects of homeopathy.

How does a homeopathic remedy stimulate healing?

There is a lot of research directed at answering this question from a technical perspective.

The book Homeopathy, Frontiers in Medical Science gives a wonderful overview of theories that are being considered and investigated.

It includes a discussion of research on the ability of water molecules to hold memory, and an overview of principles in quantum physics, information systems theory and chaos theory and how these areas apply to the energy medicine paradigm.

Homeopathic professionals generally answer this question by explaining that homeopathic remedies cause an action-reaction response within the immune system.

The remedy pushes the disease process in one direction and the immune system rebounds back in the opposite direction, stimulating the healing process.

In my practice, my experience has been that well selected homeopathic remedies assist the body wisdom of the individual in focusing on the root cause of the disease pattern.

Often this means a retrace to the original insult (mental, emotional, and/or physical) which caused the individual to lock into a stress/defense pattern.

When this happens, we often see the individual reconnect with old thoughts, emotions and physical symptoms that were somehow related to the origin of the chronic symptoms.

This may take the form of strong memories and emotions coming out during the dream state or waking state, a rethinking of long held beliefs about the individual’s life, and/or acute physical symptoms such as the flaring up of a chronic rash or digestive upset.

Holistic health professionals call this phase of the healing process a “healing crises” or a “retrace”. Homeopaths call this type of response an “aggravation” of the disease pattern.

There are different viewpoints in the homeopathic community about the necessity of patients going through an aggravation.

Many homeopathic professionals believe this is a necessary step in the resolution of any chronic illness and expect it as part of the remedy response.

When these homeopaths see an aggravation, they are rest assured that the individual’s body wisdom has responded to the remedy and is doing the necessary restructuring to bring about a permanent resolution of the symptoms.

Others might argue that aggravations are not necessary but that instead they’re a sign that the incorrect remedy was selected, or that it was selected in the wrong potency and/or dosage.

When the similimum (remedy that best matches the symptom picture of the patient) is selected, the patient is able to get in touch with and process long suppressed memories and emotions with a greater sense of acceptance and grace.

The physical symptom aggravation is moderate and temporary (e.g. often just an hour or two).

When a remedy is selected that is close to the similimum (but not the optimal match), or, when the dosage and potency is not optimal, the patient tends to “grip” more that is, they have greater resistance to the release of toxic thoughts and emotions, feel more threatened by the process, and correspondingly have a more difficult time with the retrace of acute physical symptoms.

The physical symptom aggravation is more vivid and lasts longer.

Nevertheless, (in my experience) in cases of deep pathology (such as cancer), most patients have a profound level of resistance to feeling their feelings.

Usually this is because of a built-in survival mechanism which protects them from feeling feelings which could destablize them and/or be more destructive than the disease itself (e.g. suicidal feelings).

As a result, patients with deep pathology will tend to either have very moderate reactions to homeopathic remedies (because of the built in protective mechanism), or the remedies will release thoughts, emotions, and memories which are extremely toxic and destabilizing. In either case, there is strong initial resistance to the release process.

When patients are able to release suppressed toxic emotions (via homeopathy or other means), the optimal scenario is for the patient to work with accompanying practitioners (psychotherapists, counselors, healers, etc).

Some homeopathic practitioners will provide some support, but often other professionals are needed.

Typically the fact that the patient is even able to surface the emotions is a sign of mental/emotional/spiritual strength it provides evidence that their body wisdom is convinced that the individual can handle the memories and emotions and still remain safe.

In other words, desomatization occurs when the memories and emotions somatized in the body are less life threatening to the individual than the disease itself.

How do homeopathic professionals use homeopathy treat cancer?

There are several different treatment philosophies and approaches for using homeopathy to treat individuals with cancer.

Often times practitioners that use homeopathy in the treatment of cancer use a combination of these approaches.

One approach is to use homeopathic remedies to target the tumors themselves. In this case, the homeopath selects remedies which match the symptom picture of the tumor itself (e.g. Conium Maculatum for hard immovable tumors that develop slowly).

Homeopaths using this approach might also consider other symptoms (such as the individual’s food cravings, disposition, etc), but their primary focus is to target the tumor and reverse its growth.

Some physician homeopaths also give remedies at the tumor site itself (in the form of an injection) to more aggressively stimulate a response.

Another approach is to use homeopathic remedies to assist in healing the patient’s eliminative channels (kidneys, urinary tract, lymphatic system, liver, etc), and strengthen cell detoxification.

In this case, the homeopath may use drainage remedies. These are low potency combination remedies that are used to target specific systems, or detoxify particular substances (e.g. heavy metals, etc).

Homeopaths using this approach select the drainage remedy based on an analysis of the case or they may use an electro-dermal diagnostic tool, such as the Quantum machine.

Still another approach is to use homeopathy to address the overall constitution of the patient. In this case (called the classical approach), the homeopath does a complete interview of the patient’s mental, emotional, and physical symptoms and then selects the best match accordingly.

Often the best selected constitutional remedy will directly affect the tumor.

By assisting the body in addressing and resolving the energy that underlies the tumor, it can result in complete elimination of the tumor.

The best selected constitutional remedy can also support drainage and detoxification, although this is not the primary focus of a classical prescriber.

How effective is homeopathy in the treatment of cancer?

In the US, most alternative health care professionals use homeopathy in combination with other approaches (nutritional and immune system support, diet and detoxification programs, etc), so it’s not typically considered as a primary or stand-alone therapy for cancer.

However, when used correctly, and in combination with necessary therapies, it can be an amazingly powerful tool for empowering someone to heal themselves of cancer.

There are many cases in homeopathic literature (from other countries where homeopathy is more commonly used for cancer) in which the correct homeopathic recommendation resulted in the resolution of tumors, reversal of the cancer process, and recovery by the patient.

Also, homeopathy has an excellent track record in the treatment of animals with cancer and there is much anecdotal evidence that certain remedies (when correctly selected) are effective in reversing the cancer process.

Much of the success with homeopathy, however, depends on the skill level of the practitioner and the resources of the patient to heal on all levels.

Specific Homeopathic Remedies for Cancer:

One of the most frequently. recommended homeopathic remedies for cancer is Arsenicum Album.

Arsenicum Album is a primary remedy for cancer and is often recommended for individuals with terminal cancer that are entering into the death process.

It helps the individual confront and deal with their fear of death feelings of being stuck in limbo, not knowing what lies ahead, not knowing what to expect, feeling terrified of the transition, afraid to let go of their life.

When used appropriately, it can be a powerful tool for assisting individuals in coming to greater peace about the death process, enabling them to embrace the transition with greater spiritual centeredness.

Arsenicum Album is also of great value to individuals that have just been diagnosed with cancer and are gripped with profound fear of cancer, fear that they will never get better, fear of death, fear of not having enough money to sustain the treatment, fear of not getting the needed medical care.

In this state, the individual sees the cancer as being bigger than themselves and bigger than their own ability to heal themselves.

They feel powerless over the cancer, seeing it as being 100 feet tall and seeing themselves as being very small.

This is not to say that the fears that come with a cancer diagnosis are not justified, but that these fears in an of themselves severely weaken the immune system of the cancer individual.

By taking Arsenicum Album (when indicated), it can help the individual reconnect with a greater spiritual center, such that they see themselves and their immune system as being bigger than the cancer.

In these cases, Arsenicum Album can help the individual let go of some of these fears, making it easier for them to affirm the ability of their friend or family member to heal themselves.

On a physical level, Arsenicum Album helps the body release fear and tension held in the kidneys, adrenals, and nervous system.

This sometimes correlates with the detoxification of the heavy metal arsenic from these areas as well.

The real risk in using homeopathy is when you use it at the exclusion of other needed therapies, and/or diagnostic tests.

As with any therapy or approach, its best to use a synergistic approach so that therapies can work together.

Also, if you have a cancer diagnosis, be sure that you’re working with a practitioner who is using homeopathy aggressively enough for your situation.

Another thing to consider is that sometimes the healing response caused by a homeopathic remedy can be strong enough to bring on a “healing crises”.

This might mean a fever, the release of strong emotions (e.g. fear, anger, anxiousness), or possibly detoxification symptoms (diarrhea, mild headache, rash, etc).

These types of reactions are temporary and not harmful in and of themselves – but, it’s wise to be under the care of a licensed physician to evaluate what’s going on – just in case the symptoms are related to something else.

One danger is ignoring noteworthy symptoms because you think they’re just part of a healing crises. Another danger is overreacting to symptoms, seeking medical care, and then receiving medications which further complicate your situation (e.g. pain killers, anti-depressants, etc).

To avoid confusion, make sure you’re working with a homeopathic practitioner that has experience in managing remedy reactions and can discern if merging symptoms are related to your healing process, or if you need to pursue further medical testing and treatment.

In my own private practice, my experience has been that the healing crises that people go through with homeopathy are usually related to the hysteria that comes from the “unknown”, and not so much the remedy itself.

With good communication and education, people are more able to relax and walk through the healing process more gracefully.

Such treatment is firmly established as protocol within the medical community, not because it's effective, but because this how the practice of medicine has evolved.

For most physicians, prescribing drugs to fight illnesses, including cancer and chronic diseases, is as natural as the air they breathe.

This is an incredibly difficult mindset to question or challenge, especially for the sick person who is currently battling illness, hasn't gone to medical school, and is largely unknowledgeable about alternative health approaches.

More individuals are discovering, however, the nutritional approach for defeating disease.

Does this mean patients should always shun medical doctors? Of course not.

Does the nutritional path "always" work? No, of course not.

But nutrition is often a far better route to health than simply filling one's body with toxic drugs in order to simply mask any symptoms of illness ... or kill healthy cells, right along with unwanted cancer cells.

"A mother's body is undergoing radical changes during this time," said investigator Dr Pepper Schedin.

"We can't yet speak to the safety of these drugs for women diagnosed with or at risk for postpartum breast cancer."

The study came after Tenovus associate director of research Dr Ian Lewis insisted that despite a steady improvement in survival rates, there is still a need to offer greater support to breast cancer sufferers.

Dr. Richardson told Griffin he had seen great success in treating his cancer patients with vitamin B-17, but he faced opposition from local medical authorities who, when they caught wind of what he was doing, balked at the fact he was using a treatment that was not FDA-approved.

In an effort to protect his right to administer a therapy he had seen work on so many patients, Dr. Richardson turned to Griffin for help in advancing his cause, and thus was the beginning of World Without Cancer.

Griffin, who knew nothing of the science of cancer when he began his project, soon learned plenty. His research led him to the conclusion that naturally-occurring Laetrile is indeed an effective treatment for cancer.

In fact, from the time he started his research to today, Griffin says he has seen literally thousands of people benefit from treatment with Laetrile.

He also learned that cancer is a disease linked directly to a deficiency of vitamin B-17, which is found in high amounts in apricot kernels.

However, perhaps the most important and most troubling thing he learned was that Laetrile and its health potential were being kept out of doctors' hands for political not scientific reasons.

According to Griffin, the 1953 California Report continues to be the basis of most scientific or legal opposition to vitamin B-17 today.

The report, written by Dr. Henry Garland and Dr. E. M. McDonald of the California Medical Association's Cancer Advisory Commission, claims there is no proof Laetrile is an effective control for cancer.

(It should be noted that these two particular doctors were at the time also insisting there was no link between smoking and lung cancer.)

However, Griffin writes in World Without Cancer that Garland and McDonald actually falsified information from Laetrile experiments cited in the California Report.

In fact, 10 years after the report was published, original documents surfaced that proved information had been falsified.

Although the report was subsequently updated, additional problems such as insufficient vitamin dosages used in the experiments persisted, and the conclusions of the original California Report remained embedded in the literature and minds of many.

Additional studies conducted by well-known groups like the Sloane-Kettering Institute have proven the effectiveness of Laetrile, according to Griffin.

However, those study results have not been publicized.

"When you dig into the facts, and you read the reports by the people themselves inside those institutions, you find out they found in their testing that Laetrile was highly effective, but they received directives from the top to suppress that information," Griffin said.

So why would the "powers-that-be" work so hard to suppress information that could benefit thousands of people dying of cancer?

"They do that because they're trying to make a buck, and something that is found in nature, like Laetrile, cannot be patented," says Griffin.

But the story doesn't stop there.

The Hitler / Pharma connection

World Without Cancer is divided into two parts, and in the second half of the book, Griffin goes on to reveal some disturbing information about an international drug cartel that came into being in the years before World War II that he says played a significant role in shaping the field of medicine in this country.

This powerful cartel was created, Griffin argues, when I.G. Farben, a German-based chemical company and financial backer of Adolf Hitler, joined together with Standard Oil of New Jersey, founded by American business tycoon John D. Rockefeller, in an agreement not to compete.

The partnership was largely concealed, since neither company wanted their countries to know about the relationship in the event of an inevitable second world war. In a lecture, Griffin once referred to the Farben-Rockefeller merger as "the largest and most powerful cartel the world has ever known, even though most people have never heard about it."

And so the extremely influential Rockefeller came to be interlocked with the drug industry, and under the guise of philanthropy, began donating large sums of money to America's faltering medical schools.

Of course, the catch was that such schools were told the money had to be used for drug research, which would create a great profit for Rockefeller interests.

In their time of need, medical schools readily complied.

"When they accepted the money, they had to follow the dollar, and they designed their curricula so it favors pharmacy (and) pharmaceutical drugs," says Griffin.

This effectively gave birth to the conventional medical care system we know today, which is based almost entirely on prescription drugs and knows little to nothing about basic nutrition.

"The medical schools of the United States now teach the students everything there is to know about their product, which is drugs," Griffin says,

"And so [doctors] come out as highly trained drug salesmen, and they don't even know it!"

Even doctors are kept in the dark about B-17

It's no wonder then that natural treatments like vitamin B-17 remain banned or widely unknown in the United States; there is a long line of profit and power ensuring they stay that way.

That's why doctors will not offer cancer patients vitamin therapy with vitamin B-17, and why most doctors, if asked about Laetrile, will say it has been proven ineffective.

However, Griffin doesn't blame the doctors for conventional modern medicine's focus on drugs, noting, "They're kind of victims of this whole system as much as the rest of us, and they and their families die of cancer just like everyone else.

So it's clear that they're not holding back a control for cancer that they know works.

If they knew about it, they would use it, just like Dr. Richardson.

It's just that they're pretty well sheltered from that information, and they rely very strongly on the prestigious sources at the top."

Since Griffin's book hit shelves in 1974, awareness of natural health has increased, but little has changed in terms of the availability of Laetrile in the United States. It remains illegal for doctors to prescribe or sell Laetrile as a control for cancer.

According to Griffin, however, some clinics continue to quietly use the substance, often only after the patient has obtained it.

Many other patients travel to Mexico for treatment.

Griffin worries that vitamin B-17 is not the only natural treatment for serious disease being suppressed because of political and financial reasons.

"I'm convinced, and this is just my opinion now; I can't back this up with facts, but on the basis of what I've seen, I think this whole AIDS field is just a rubber stamp of the cancer field," Griffin states.

He adds, "I am sure that you'll find this thing all over the medical field because they follow the buck. They have to have something that's patented to do that, and patented medicines are usually toxic."

Today, Griffin says writing World Without Cancer dramatically changed his views and may have saved his life.

"It is like night into day," he says. "I am firmly convinced that had I not done this research and learned what I did, I probably would have been dead today because I was living the lifestyle of the typical American fast foods, no exercise (and) no awareness of the fact that I had any responsibility for my health."

The politics of cancer therapy

On the first page of his book, Griffin openly acknowledges that what he writes is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration, American Medical Association or the American Cancer Society and says that they in fact would call it "fraud and quackery.

" That is because, as Griffin has often said, the politics of cancer therapy are far more complicated than the science of cancer therapy.

This core problem, according to Griffin, cannot be solved until we get the politics out of a lot of other areas as well. In the meantime, it is up to each individual consumer to take responsibility for his or her own health and wellbeing.

"I think it's important for people to understand that government, in most cases, is not the solution; it's the problem," Griffin warns.

"As long as people think that the government is supposed to take care of them and protect them and that they can trust their politicians as long as they think that, they're in deep trouble.

And, in fact, we are all in deep trouble because of that kind of thinking."

Frankincense : Could it be a cure for cancer?

The gift given by the wise men to the baby Jesus probably came across the deserts from Oman.

The BBC's Jeremy Howell visits the country to ask whether a commodity that was once worth its weight in gold could be reborn as a treatment for cancer.

Oman's Land of Frankincense is an 11-hour drive southwards from the capital, Muscat.

Most of the journey is through Arabia's Empty Quarter - hundreds of kilometres of flat, dun-coloured desert.

Just when you are starting to think this is the only scenery you will ever see again, the Dhofar mountains appear in the distance.

On the other side are green valleys, with cows grazing in them.

The Dhofar region catches the tail end of India's summer monsoons, and they make this the most verdant place on the Arabian peninsula.

Warm winters and showery summers are the perfect conditions for the Boswellia sacra tree to produce the sap called frankincense.

These trees grow wild in Dhofar. A tour guide, Mohammed Al-Shahri took me to Wadi Dawkah, a valley 20 km inland from the main city of Salalah, to see a forest of them.

"The records show that frankincense was produced here as far back as 7,000 BC," he says.

He produces an army knife. He used to be a member of the Sultan's Special Forces. With a practised flick, he cuts a strip of bark from the trunk of one of the Boswellia sacra trees.

Pinpricks of milky-white sap appear on the wood and, very slowly, start to ooze out.

"This is the first cut. But you don't gather this sap," he says. "It releases whatever impurities are in the wood.

The farmers return after two or three weeks and make a second, and a third, cut.

Then the sap comes out yellow, or bright green, or brown or even black. They take this."

Shortly afterwards, a frankincense farmer arrives in a pick-up truck.

He is white-bearded, wearing a brown thobe and the traditional Omani, paisley-patterned turban.

He is 67-year-old Salem Mohammed from the Gidad family.

Most of the Boswellia sacra trees grow on public land, but custom dictates that each forest is given to one of the local families to farm, and Wadi Dawkah is his turf.

He has an old, black, iron chisel with which he gouges out clumps of dried frankincense.

"We learnt about frankincense from our forefathers and they learnt it from theirs" he says.

"The practice has been passed down through the generations. We exported the frankincense, and that's how the families in Dhofar made their livings."

And what an export trade it was. Frankincense was sent by camel train to Egypt, and from there to Europe.

It was shipped from the ancient port of Sumharan to Persia, India and China.

Religions adopted frankincense as a burnt offering.

That is why, according to Matthew's Gospel in the Bible, the Wise Men brought it as a gift to the infant Jesus.

Gold : for a king. Frankincense : for God. Myrrh : to embalm Jesus' body after death.

The Roman Empire coveted the frankincense trade. In the first century BCE, Augustus Caesar sent 10,000 troops to invade what the Romans called Arabia Felix to find the source of frankincense and to control its production.

The legions, marching from Yemen, were driven back by the heat and the aridity of the desert.

They never found their Eldorado.

Oman's frankincense trade went into decline three centuries ago, when Portugal fought Oman for dominance of the sea routes in the Indian and the Pacific Oceans.

Nowadays, hardly any Omani frankincense is exported. Partly, this is because bulk buyers, such as the Roman Catholic Church, buy cheaper Somalian varieties.

Partly, it is because Omanis now produce so little.

"Years ago, 20 families farmed frankincense in this area," says Salem Mohammed Gidad.

"But the younger generation can get well-paid jobs in the government and the oil companies, with pensions. Now, only three people still produce frankincense around here.

The trade is really, really tiny!"

Cancer hope

But immunologist Mahmoud Suhail is hoping to open a new chapter in the history of frankincense.

Scientists have observed that there is some agent within frankincense which stops cancer spreading, and which induces cancerous cells to close themselves down. He is trying to find out what this is.

"Cancer starts when the DNA code within the cell's nucleus becomes corrupted," he says. "It seems frankincense has a re-set function.

It can tell the cell what the right DNA code should be.

"Frankincense separates the 'brain' of the cancerous cell - the nucleus - from the 'body' - the cytoplasm, and closes down the nucleus to stop it reproducing corrupted DNA codes."

Working with frankincense could revolutionise the treatment of cancer.

Currently, with chemotherapy, doctors blast the area around a tumour to kill the cancer, but that also kills healthy cells, and weakens the patient.

Treatment with frankincense could eradicate the cancerous cells alone and let the others live.

The task now is to isolate the agent within frankincense which, apparently, works this wonder.

Some ingredients of frankincense are allergenic, so you cannot give a patient the whole thing.

Dr Suhail (who is originally from Iraq) has teamed up with medical scientists from the University of Oklahoma for the task.

In his laboratory in Salalah, he extracts the essential oil from locally produced frankincense. Then, he separates the oil into its constituent agents, such as Boswellic acid.

"There are 17 active agents in frankincense essential oil," says Dr Suhail. "We are using a process of elimination.

We have cancer sufferers for example, a horse in South Africa and we are giving them tiny doses of each agent until we find the one which works."

"Some scientists think Boswellic acid is the key ingredient. But I think this is wrong.

Many other essential oils like oil from sandalwood contain Boswellic acid, but they don't have this effect on cancer cells. So we are starting afresh."

The trials will take months to conduct and whatever results come out of them will take longer still to be verified.

But this is a blink of the eye in the history of frankincense.

Nine thousand years ago, Omanis gathered it and burnt it for its curative and cleansing properties.

It could be a key to the medical science of tomorrow.

This product is an over the counter antiacid product.

It was found to be effective against cancer.

It is not used in orthodox medicine.

It is somewhat used in alternative medicine but we at the ICRF do not know the protocol (i.e. the safe and effective doses).

There were actually many other very effective cancer treatments which date back to before 1.910, which were developed by medical doctors.

Some of these were herbal treatments and others were electromedicine protocols.

However, in 1.910 Congress passed a law forcing all "medical schools" to use prescription drugs (i.e. "modern medicine") exclusively in their training of "medical doctors."

Today, the average housewife knows far more about natural medicine than most medical doctors.

Today, the use of alternative cancer treatments is thriving.

However, very few people (as a percentage) know about these protocols.

This is because the media never mentions them because of the cozy relationship between the media and their huge client : the pharmaceutical industry.

So how many cures for cancer were found in alternative medicine during the same time period of 1.910 to 2.011?

During this same one hundred year period, those people researching Mother Nature's cancer treatments (i.e. alternative cancer treatments or natural cancer treatments) found more than 400 cures for cancer.

There are scientific documentary that strongly supports how cancer and other diseases can be cured.

Gerson therapy was founded by Max Gerson, M.D. who was born in Germany in 1881.

His initial experimentation with dietary therapy to cure his headaches developed further into healing skin tuberculosis, type II diabetes, heart disease, kidney failure, and finally cancer.

Antineoplastons

Stanislaw R. Burzynski, M.D., has given the name "antineoplastons" to substances he claims can "normalize" cancer cells that are constantly being produced within the body.

He has published many papers stating that antineoplastons extracted from urine or synthesized in his laboratory have proven effective against cancer in laboratory experiments.

He also claims to have helped many people with cancer get well.

A 1992 analysis concluded that none of Burzynski's "antineoplastons" has been proven to normalize tumor cells.

In 1988, Burzynski got a tremendous boost when talk-show hostess Sally Jesse Raphael featured four "miracles," patients of Burzynski, who she said were cancer-free.

The patients stated that Burzynski had cured them when conventional methods had failed.

In 1992, "Inside Edition" reported that two of the four patients had died and a third was having a recurrence of her cancer. (The fourth patient had bladder cancer, which has a good prognosis.)

The widow of one of Raphael's guests stated that her husband and five others from the same city had sought treatment after learning about Burzynski from a television broadcast and that all had died of their disease.

In 1995, a federal grand jury indicted Burzynski for mail fraud and marketing an unapproved drug.

The indictment charged that he had billed insurance companies using procedure codes for chemotherapy, even though his treatment was not chemotherapy.

He was tried in 1997 but not convicted.

In 1998, the Texas Attorney General secured a consent agreement stating that Burzynski: (a) cannot distribute unapproved drugs in Texas; (b) can distribute "antineoplastons" only to patients enrolled in FDA approved clinical trials, unless the FDA approves his drugs for sale; (c) cannot advertise "antineoplastons" for the treatment of cancer; and (d) on his website and in promotional material and ads must place a disclaimer that the safety and effectiveness of "antineoplastons" have not been established.

The agreement also called for Burzynski to pay $50,000 to reimburse the Attorney General's office and the Texas Health Department for the cost of their investigation.

The Cancer Letter subsequently noted that although Burzynski has set up many "clinical trials," they do not conform to usual standards.
