center;">

Let’s dive right into some of the most common
procrastination excuses I hear – and well, also excuses that I make myself!

“I Don’t Really Need To Do It Right Now … “

The grand daddy of all procrastination excuses. So seductive, because there
is a little truth to it. We don’t have to do
it, although we may suffer a bit down the road. That’s just a risk
we take…right?

When we make this excuse, what we’re really saying is - “I don’t
want to do this, and I’m secretly hoping that it’ll either go away, or I’ll
eventually feel motivated to actually do it.” Many of us use this
excuse knowing full well we’re procrastinating – waiting for that excitement
and adrenaline rush that’ll push us through that all-nighter, and
“successfully” finish on time. Other common phrasings include “There’s
plenty of time” and “I can always do it tomorrow.”

“I’ll Start After …”

Sound familiar? I know I’ve been there. Some of my favorite examples of this
excuse include “I’ll start…” -

… right after I do the dishes

… right after I clean my desk

… right after I make one last
     phone call

This is procrastination, plain and simple – we don’t want to do the
difficult tasks that we really should be doing, and we put
things off by making excuses and doing “just on more thing.” Surprise,
surprise – for me, that “one more thing” often ends up being one of my little procrastination hangnails.
Families and friends traditionally draw together for support in times of crisis and this year is no different. The gift of appreciation - a heartfelt thank you - can be a daily present this holiday season for those you love. And the cost won't cut into your tight budget at all.

Why, then, is it so difficult to say thanks? We are often focused on ourselves - Galileo may have proved that the earth revolved around the sun but most of us secretly believe that the world itself revolves around us. It is sometimes hard to pull out of that orbit and become more aware of the contributions of others. And we all tend to take good things for granted. Humans instinctively pay more attention to threats to their safety than they do to situations of security and pleasure. We are less likely to notice supportive behaviors, so positive acts are often ignored.

Other times we think that, by recognizing family members for their generosity, they are less likely to notice what they could appreciate about us. Actually, expressing gratitude leads to positive effects for both the sender and the receiver. But any change in behavior is difficult - and establishing life-long habits takes conscious repetitions. It may be hard to make the commitment to building this new skill, but it is well worth the effort.

Expressing gratitude not only makes others feel better, it also benefits you and your mood. When you focus on what you are grateful for you gain a wide range of benefits. These include sounder sleep, enhanced self-esteem, increased levels of contentment and improved connections with the world around you. Not a bad outcome - especially for a Sandwiched Boomer caught in the midst of parents growing older and children growing up. According to Willie Nelson, "When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around."

www.candacehouse.com
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

The Purpose of Having a Dream

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 241px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrUN6V09GoVjrHTnGUr7sszHFOU7cRYdrBmCW7036cLUb389zRKDXh626MdnhV6mnnuZ5WDKQxaV7kekNn6GGuPdONNfwu1qqXn4V1KcUwys7wi08janFQH7nz6rbmyHREeOATC4u2Mdkb/s400/31036171.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342662773974344466" />

Never give up on yourself or your dreams...

Langston Hughes said “ Never give up on your dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that can’t fly.”

Many people never achieve great dreams. They either give up or fall short of making their dreams a reality. Some reasons cited for this failure is because of short sightedness, small vision, settling or getting off track.

Bold dreams change you as they change the world around you. I desire to help and inspire to you to realize your dreams for I am a firm believer that dreams CAN come true! I want you to dare to dream what seems an impossible dream and let me share with you how to make it come true.

Check out my new book titled Dream Makers versus Day Dreamers. Release date July 30, 2009. In the meantime take a look at what others have done with the dreams birthed inside of them.

Albert Einstein did not speak until he was 4-years-old and did not read until he was 7. His parents thought he was "sub-normal," and one of his teachers described him as "mentally slow, unsociable, and adrift forever in foolish dreams."

He was expelled from school and was refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic School.

He did eventually learn to speak and read. Even to do a little math.

Winston Churchill failed sixth grade. He was subsequently defeated in every election for public office until he became Prime Minister at the age of 62. He later wrote, "Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never -in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never, Never, Never, Never give up.''

As a young man, Abraham Lincoln went to war a captain and returned a private. Afterwards, he was a failure as a businessman. As a lawyer in Springfield, he was too impractical and temperamental to be a success. He turned to politics and was defeated in his first try for the legislature, again defeated in his first attempt to be nominated for congress, defeated in his application to be commissioner of the General Land Office, defeated in the senatorial election of 1854, defeated in his efforts for the vice-presidency in 1856, and defeated in the senatorial election of 1858. He later became the 16th President of the United States of America.

Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor because "he lacked imagination and had no good ideas." He went bankrupt several times before he built Disneyland. In fact, the proposed park was rejected by the city of Anaheim on the grounds that it would only attract riffraff.

Henry Ford could not read nor write, failed and went broke five times in business before he succeeded.

As an inventor, Thomas Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn't fail a thousand times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps." Thomas Edison's teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything." He was fired from his first two jobs for being "non-productive."

R. H. Macy failed seven times before his store in New York City caught on.

Louis Pasteur was only a mediocre pupil in undergraduate studies and ranked 15th out of 22 students in chemistry.

Van Gogh sold only one painting during his life. And this, to the sister of one of his friends, for 400 francs (approximately $50). This didn't stop him from completing over 800 paintings.

F. W. Woolworth was not allowed to wait on customers when he worked in a dry goods store because, his boss said, "he didn't have enough sense."

When Bell telephone was struggling to get started, its owners offered all their rights to Western Union for $100,000. The offer was disdainfully rejected with the pronouncement, "What use could this company make of an electrical toy." And how many people have a telephone today?

Sigmund Freud was booed from the podium when he first presented his ideas to the scientific community of Europe. He returned to his office and kept on writing.

Rocket scientist Robert Goddard found his ideas bitterly rejected by his scientific peers on the grounds that rocket propulsion would not work in the rarefied atmosphere of outer space.

An expert said of Vince Lombardi: "He possesses minimal football knowledge and lacks motivation." Lombardi would later write, "It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get back up."

After Carl Lewis won the gold medal for the long jump in the 1996 Olympic games, he was asked to what he attributed his longevity, having competed for almost 20 years. He said, "Remembering that you have both wins and losses along the way. I don't take either one too seriously."

Babe Ruth is famous for his past home run record, but for decades he also held the record for strikeouts. He hit 714 home runs and struck out 1,330 times in his career (about which he said, "Every strike out brings me closer to the next home run.").

Hank Aaron went 0 for 5 his first time at bat with the Milwaukee Braves.

Stan Smith was rejected as a ball boy for a Davis Cup tennis match because he was "too awkward and clumsy." He went on to clumsily win Wimbledon and the US Open...and eight Davis Cups.

Tom Landry, Chuck Noll, Bill Walsh, and Jimmy Johnson accounted for 11 of the 19 Super Bowl victories from 1974 to 1993. They also share the distinction of having the worst records of first-season head coaches in NFL history - they didn't win a single game.

Johnny Unitas's first pass in the NFL was intercepted and returned for a touchdown. Joe Montana's first pass was also intercepted. And while we're on quarterbacks, during his first season Troy Aikman threw twice as many interceptions (18) as touchdowns (9) . . . oh, and he didn't win a single game. You think there's a lesson here?

Charles Schultz had every cartoon he submitted rejected by his high school yearbook staff. Oh, and Walt Disney wouldn't hire him.

After Fred Astaire's first screen test, the memo from the testing director of MGM, dated 1933, read, "Can't act. Can't sing. Slightly bald. Can dance a little." He kept that memo over the fire place in his Beverly Hills home.

Astaire once observed that "when you're experimenting, you have to try so many things before you choose what you want, that you may go days getting nothing but exhaustion." And here is the reward for perseverance: "The higher up you go, the more mistakes you are allowed. Right at the top, if you make enough of them, it's considered to be your style."

After his first audition, Sidney Poitier was told by the casting director, "Why don't you stop wasting people's time and go out and become a dishwasher or something?" It was at that moment, recalls Poitier, that he decided to devote his life to acting.

When Lucille Ball began studying to be actress in 1927, she was told by the head instructor of the John Murray Anderson Drama School, "Try any other profession."

The first time Jerry Seinfeld walked on-stage at a comedy club as a professional comic, he looked out at the audience, froze, and forgot the English language. He stumbled through "a minute-and a half" of material and was jeered offstage. He returned the following night and closed his set to wild applause.

After Harrison Ford's first performance as a hotel bellhop in the film Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round, the studio vice-president called him in to his office. "Sit down kid," the studio head said, "I want to tell you a story. The first time Tony Curtis was ever in a movie he delivered a bag of groceries. We took one look at him and knew he was a movie star." Ford replied, "I thought you were spossed to think that he was a grocery delivery boy." The vice president dismissed Ford with "You ain't got it kid , you ain't got it ... now get out of here."

Woody Allen: "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying. Eighty percent of success is showing up."

Michael Caine's headmaster told him, "You will be a laborer all your life.

Charlie Chaplin was initially rejected by Hollywood studio chiefs because his pantomime was considered "nonsense."

Decca Records turned down a recording contract with The Beatles with the evaluation, "We don't like their sound. Groups of guitars are on their way out." After Decca rejected the Beatles, Columbia records followed suit.

In 1954, Jimmy Denny, manager of the Grand Ole Opry, fired Elvis Presley after one performance. He told Presley, "You ain't goin' nowhere, son. You ought to go back to drivin' a truck."

Beethoven handled the violin awkwardly and preferred playing his own compositions instead of improving his technique. His teacher called him "hopeless as a composer." And, of course, you know that he wrote five of his greatest symphonies while completely deaf.

Leo Tolstoy flunked out of college. He was described as both "unable and unwilling to learn." No doubt a slow developer.

Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women, was encouraged to find work as a servant by her family.

Emily Dickinson had only seven poems published in her lifetime.

18 publishers turned down Richard Bach's story about a "soaring eagle." Macmillan finally published Jonathan Livingston Seagull in 1970. By 1975 it had sold more than 7 million copies in the U.S. alone.

Jack London received six hundred rejection slips before he sold his first story.

21 publishers rejected Richard Hooker's humorous war novel, M*A*S*H. He had worked on it for seven years.

27 publishers rejected Dr. Seuss's first book, "To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street."

www.candacehouse.com

© Candace House 2009, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Note To God

Today I saw this incredible video by a young 17 year old girl on Oprah. Building courage will help you take risks to a brighter future that you ordinarily would not take. When you build courage, you put fear behind you. courage is the process of admitting that you have fears, yet you are willing to find a way to defeat those fears and not allow these fears to take control of you. It is ok to experience your fears at appropriate times. For instance, if a bus is heading in your path, swerving you have a right to fear. There is nothing wrong with healthy fear. The problem is you have to put healthy fear in its place and unhealthy fear out of your life.

Once you build courage, you will learn to self-direct you in life. You will learn to accept punishment and rewards gracefully. A courageous person will often feel motivated to accept blame and responsibility while reviewing their actions and using what they learn to move forward. Courageous people will step to the front, rather than stepping back when opportunities come their way. On the other hand, a courageous person will step back and take a view at his or her mistakes gracefully.

Sometimes the courageous person is spontaneous. It is never good to plan each day, because no one knows what the next day will bring in. Think about it. How many times have you planned something all to see it shatter in your face the next day. For instance, I plan to go to the ballgame tomorrow. Come tomorrow a blizzard, hurricane, tornado, wind storm, or rainstorm could change your mind. You planned, but did you plan for the weather. Did you make a backup plan in case your first plan failed. As you can see, planning is not always in your favor, which is why courageous people are sometimes spontaneous.

A person willing to improve their life will relax. This person will relax even when plans fail. For instance, if it stormed the next day the person will find something else to occupy his or her time and feel just as happy about joining this adventure.

To become successful and improve your life you will need to learn how to trust you. When you trust you, you can trust others as well. Unfortunately, we live in a world where trust is hard to find, yet when you trust you, you can’t blame others when things go wrong.

Improving your life includes using your creative and critical mind. When you can create new ideas, you are off to the road to success. You have many options in this world, it takes you to pull up resources to find those options.

Sometimes in life, we feel uncomfortable. In fact, this is common. Are you willing to accept your discomforts? Perhaps at an interview you feel misplaced. Are you willing to accept this discomfort and find a way to deliver a good speech to impress the interviewer. Alternatively, are you willing to allow negative energies cost you the job.

Do you accept?
Do you accept the things you cannot change? Do you accept the things you have control over? Do you accept other people regardless of how these people act? Do you accept you for who you are? Do you accept the changes that life brings your way?

Acceptance is your key to happiness. When you can learn to accept the good with the bad, you can learn how to live happier and improve your personal life. If you cannot accept however, well, reread this article again.

www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Attitude of Gratitude in an Economic Crisis

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTx7jrohR2Oh6i0AZURgfjMVJtrpPiiFIWxxEyCUIw-NHDBYvlbACdPQGuqHoVZBy3FbMsp4bv2UC6Y-71LSBC5X7K41YL1oDgz6SgpKeW9ubeb2hksPMYUWDPHwMl1mkV1JYM-hqaN3ig/s400/TreeCoveredRoad.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5306716083557079458" />

President Obama's State of the Union speech last night was phenominal! After listening to that speech if you were not inspired and grateful to live the USA somethin is wrong with you. We live in the greatest place on earth. The United States of America!

After listening for months to the doom and gloom rhetoric coming from the media we have taken our eyes off the ball. We are Americans! We live in a country founded on the principals of God. There is nothing we can't do or overcome. We have always rebounded and regrouped. This country has been abundantly blessed and will continue to be so. We need to stop being so fearful and thank God for the things we still have.

Even with the harsh economic news - jobless rates up and the stock market down - we can still find a lot to be grateful about.

You need to become aware yourself of what you are thankful for before you can begin to acknowledge the part others play. Here are some steps to help you get started:

1. Begin to consciously notice what brings you joy. Awareness is the first step toward creating change. Set aside time to participate in the process of experiencing and acknowledging your gratitude.

2. Count your blessings . Each evening, note three things that happened during the day for which you are thankful. Be specific as you describe what happened to you. It could be a loving conversation with your partner, a hug from your teenage son, a lunch date with your mother.

3. Re-live and savor each of these events. Spend time re-creating in your mind the happiness of the experience. You will feel your body becoming more relaxed, your emotions more positive and your thoughts more focused. The joys of life are not only in present activities but also in remembering pleasurable occasions.

4. Think about what you did to open yourself to these moments. Then decide to direct your actions to include more of these delights in your life. Recognizing your own personal power will strengthen your belief in yourself as well as your willingness to consider the part others play in your happiness.

5. Realize why this piece of good fortune came your way. It will help you identify the people you're grateful to have in your life. You can then thank them for playing a part in improving your world.

Deciding to focus on giving thanks means a whole new mindset. As Albert Schweitzer put it, "To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kind that will stand behind the action. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude." When you follow these steps you can act on the gratitude you experience and live a rich life no matter what the economic environment.

www.candacehouse.org
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Be Strong In the Lord

David was a master at encouraging himself in the Lord, strengthening himself in the Lord. God provided David the motivational tool of His Word and David used it prolifically.

David would rehearse (recall out loud) what God had said and what God had done. With this he would strengthen his own heart and the hearts of those around him. And much of what David would recall is what God had said:

Psalm 119:49-50
Remember the word to Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.

David found life in God’s Word. His Word IS life! David turned trouble into opportunites for one more long, deep drink of the life of God in His Word. Through this, he was strengthened and encouraged all the days of his life.
When Things Were Tough

David knew that no matter what (Remember Mizpah? 1Samuel 30:6), God would set things right again. The whole history of David is of God doing that very thing over and over and over. Need we wonder how David kept going through all the trials he endured? Repeatedly he sought the Lord in His strength, recalled His mighty deeds, and remembered the Words God had spoken. David had a God-inspired motivational program going that brought him through chaos into victory.

1Samuel 30:6

Now Davis was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened (encouraged) himself in the Lord his God

So, no matter how bad the situation became, David would turn to the Lord and what the Lord had said. God’s word brought him life and David could rise to his feet strong, courageous, established, fortified in the Word of Truth and mighty in the purposes of God.

We have the same opportunities today!

In the closing chapter of David’s life, he praises God for the abundant offerings of the people for building the temple. Before the assembly he says:

1Chronicles 29:12

Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all.
In Your hand is power and might;
In Your hand is to make great and to give strength to all.

David was honoring God and reminding people to be strong in Him.

We have the same opportunities today!

* Encourage yourself with remembrances of what God has done in your life, in the lives of those you know and care about.

* Remember what God has done in the lives of Biblical characters like David, Moses, Joseph…

* Meditate on and memorized truth found in God’s Word.

* Meditate on and memorize promises found in Scripture. Get these on the hard-drive of your mind so they are immediately available in a pinch.

* Pray Scripture daily. This is one way to be “wrapped” in the Word.

www.candacehouse.org
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

You Are What You Believe

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 295px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK0DV8ViRicERMpA55e-cPzbTTmluYrb19CiJyrr3mXe3MVoYaNLspAsAVdokiuGaApDeBtAIFeACaCiH8JefGKfKg_cjES9fDiExa-_Q8sjAbehPKQqF3QxdP6_i_xcvrZET6_emFl9q5/s400/inspiration+thinking.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288951656058074754" />

The most important quality you can ever develop is having belief in yourself. The belief that you can, without a shadow of a doubt achieve success in every area of your life. Virtually every person has the capacity to do wonderful things with his or her life. But the greatest single obstacle for most people is self-doubt. Many people wish they could accomplish certain things but lack the belief that they can actually do it.

When people under achieve in any part of their life, it is their beliefs more than anything else that hold them back. Self-limiting beleifs act as breaks on our ability to achieve our goals. Many of us have high hopes, dreams, and aspirations, but we let doubts creep in and undermine our talents, abilities, and effectiveness.
Each one of us has feelings of inferiority because we feel that we are not good enough. We think that we are not as good as other people, and we feel that we are not good enough to acquire and enjoy the things we want in life. Often we feel that we don't deserve good things. Even if we work hard and have some achievements in our life, we often feel that we are not really entitled to our successes.

The Universal Law of Belief says that whatever we believe, with feeling becomes our reality. We don't beleive what we see; instead, we see what we believe. Our beliefs form a screen as to how we see the world, and we never allow any information that is not consistent with our beliefs to pass through it. Even if we have beliefs that are totally inconsistent with reality, we won't let them through because our beliefs have become true for us.

The most common and also the most harmful beliefs are the ones that are self-limiting. These are beliefs about yourself. For example, believing that you can't acheive something because you don't have enough money or education. You might believe you can't acheive something because you are the wrong sex, race, age, or it is because of the economy. Most of these beliefs are not true, but they will hold you back nonetheless.

The fact is, you deserve every good thing that you are capable of acquiring through the use of your talents. The only real limitation on what you can be and have, is if you lack the desire. If you you set a goal and want to achieve it badly enough, nothing in the world can stop you from achieving it, as long as you're willing to persist long and hard enough.

To develop positive beliefs, you have to decide exactly where you want to end up in the future. The clearer you are about the result you want in your future, the easier it will be for you to change your actions and behaviors in the short term. This in turn, will assure that you achieve what you want in the long term.

Once you've clearly decided on the type of person you want to be, you will have already taken a major first step in developing new beliefs. In order to incorporate your new beliefs into your every day life, you have to discipline yourself to act exactly in every situation as if you already were that person. When you begin to act like the successful person you want to become, you will actually adopt their values, qualities, and characteristics. And they will then become a permanent part of your personality.

If you consistently act like the person you want to become every day and in every situation it will begin a chain reaction. Your attitude will change and become more postive. This will then build stronger and more postive beliefs. And your beliefs will then, exert a positive influence on your values.

You have no limitations on your potential except for those that you believe you have. Successful people are not extraordinary or special in any way. They are not different from you or I. But, all successful people do have the unwavering belief that they can accomplish anything that they really want in life. You are a good person. From this day forward, see yourself as the very best you can be, and refuse to accept any limitations on your possibilities. Once you develop that belief in yourself, and you act in accordance with your beliefs, your future will be unlimited.

Joe Love
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

BlogTalkRadio Share Show Widget

http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Never Give Up On Your Dreams

Richest African American Woman in the World

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1Z8REB1fDCox5zv6H4fZ_7P9Dxw7aEsYGNEf6d45556oLyNqF2MNkOyP057mgBmtHdWeBdBX5v03ug2QxYPxcH0hWEBf7CB0IdEp2C4xa2R9EqsY2kcfEb8bEddGR1t48Milf8KQhm_5j/s400/Oprah.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284997871131666338" />

Langston Hughes said“ Never give up on your dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that can’t fly.”

44th President of the United States of America

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 316px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2btY5njtIzQwN1jTr4hwEmLl9JDeo8LJ4J2JjlPtXlzp7MiWAPk6AbZ0o7ure60xzmLmKuGyvuwF7qWcQGsxkHum50IrepzDNkPqeDHKsNzvrS0eZ_jl6oOIHCXEQl0dHyo3UmHDlGhm7/s400/barack+obama.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284997464971492898" />

Many people never achieve great dreams.

Whew! After reading all of that you should be inspired!

www.candacehouse.com

© Candace House 2008, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Creative Ways to Get New Business

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 190px; height: 211px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6L804IefJUmgba-QcfOuaPDC-cQW8cwCxAKag9hNviz1p7xY1xQkNSgh8YLC0ycFDYvjONiMXq8zjS7paBo3PRKbt2vi8EcbbS5HtgIoQDNWEsgBSpyR9t_4Dc7CZH-GYN_DQYSrAK0Ka/s400/black+woman+pondering.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285000508225105906" />

Internet Business: 10 Important Creative Ways To Get New Product Ideas
By I-key Benney

Creativity is one of the most important keys to success in any business.

If you want to succeed in any business, you have to be more creative and pragmatic.
Below are a few tips on how to generate new product ideas:

1. Solve an existing problem for people. There are thousands of problems in the world. Create a product that can provide a solution to one of those problems.

2. Find out what's the current hot trend. You can find out what the new trends are by watching T.V, reading magazines and surfing the net. Just create a product that's related to the current hot trend.

3. Improve a product that is already on the market. You see products at home, in ads, at stores etc. Just take a product that's already out there and improve it.

4. Create a new niche for a current product. You can set yourself apart from your competition by creating a niche. Your product could be faster, bigger, smaller, or quicker than you competitor's product.

5. Add on to an existing product. You could package your current product with other related products. For example, you could package a football with a team jersey and football cards.

6. Reincarnate an older product. Maybe you have a book that's out of print and is no longer being sold. You could change the title, design a new front cover, and bring some of the old content up to date.

7. Ask your current customers. You could contact some of your existing customers by phone or e-mail and ask them what kind of new products they would like to see on the market.

8. Combine two or more products together to create a new one. For example, you could take a brief case and add a thermos compartment inside to keep a drink hot or cold.

9. Survey the people who visit your web site. You could post a survey or questionnaire on your web site. Ask visitors what kind of products they would like to see on the market.

10. You could create a new market for your existing product. For example, if you're selling plastic bottles to a pop company, you could turn around and sell those bottles to a fruit drink company.
Warmly,

I-key Benney, CEO

I-key, a Millionaire CEO from New York City is the creator of "Mscsrrr: Millionaire Secret Cash System", home based business, online investment opportunity (http://www.mscsrrr.com) which has helped thousands of ordinary people from all over the world to attain financial security and shining success during the past 2 yrs.
Mscsrrr Millionaire Cash System helps you to generate $1,500+/Week for life, from home or office, part time or full time.

According to Willie Nelson, "When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around."

www.yourworldrealized.com
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

President-Elect Obama's First American Address

President-elect Barack Obama will be addressing America each week via video on YouTube in addition to the traditional broadcasts on television and radio. He will continue to post these videos once he moves to the White House in January.

This is really quite amazing and will give unprecedented access to what our president is saying and doing, as well as reaching out to a whole new audience that would not normally access this kind of information.

Today Obama posted his first “fireside chat” on issue of the current economic crisis.

www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

I Cried Today

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 327px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyvgcI8ns43RtmsErpIfn6rasHqdAkwW2KkY5wLlSmjm8o5V_Jw3LhM4EVXYBcdKRRCBNpKdhSuDhlKQQDjn0fwoZtZiwGQVtZNIwcoD1r2f6TA-SDhwhQa2UlbFRxevWfr_eREIMzxIqc/s400/FIRSTBLACKFAMILY.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285003764624769730" />

TODAY I CRIED! Wednesday, November 5, 2008 - 7:22 PM

I cried today. All day! Last night and into today. Those that I have talked to cried all day too.I imagine we will continue to cry for days to come. Barack Obama being elected president was something that No one my age or older could concieve of happening in our life time. Maybe our childrens.

I talked with family members and friends and no one was left unmoved. What a Beautiful Day to wake up to! Do we treat him as a God or the Messiah as some have suggested we are doing because of our emotional responce? No! How dare they try and take anything away from THIS day!

He is just a man! One that inspired hope to people who were loosing hope. People of every color that were tired of the old status quo are the ones that said "Enough is Enough!"

Yes He is African American and the occasion is uncomparable! We "Expected the Unexpected" and it delivered! So today and last night I Cried!

I obtained permission to post a blog that a young girl name Isly wrote that contains the feelings of so many African Americans.

Wednesday, November 05, 2008
? Today I Cried...
Let me preface this blog... by saying... this is something that I handwrote while I cried. It's not for you, it's not for your judgement, it's not for your comments. *However, you are welcome to comment if you would like.* It's personal. It is for me. I merged two blogs into this one...
I cried today. I cried for Barack Obama. I cried for grandmothers and grandfathers. I cried for myself. I cried for Black people or African Americans. I cried for history. Today I sat on the couch and I cried. And I didn't fully understand why the tears began or where they came from... but as they shed, it was revealed to me.

I cried for Barack Obama because I understand the loss of a grandmother. My grandmother passed away in 2004 and to this day, I miss her very much. As he stood at the podium and paid homage to his own grandmother... "She was the cornerstone of our family and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility... a quiet hero"... I couldn't contain the tears that flowed at the memory of my own.

My grandmother was a servant of many, a homemaker, a seamstress, a nurse to her children and her children's children, a friend, an advice-giver, a soul-food cooking chef, a lender (*and my grandmother was not WEALTHY, but she always had a stash... so maybe she was wealthy in her own right). My grandmother was someone I aspired to be and still do. She was a loving wife, a master mother, and a strong sister. She cared for her family, friends, and even her enemies (though few). My grandmother. I cried as he cried today for his grandmother. Because I understood the love he felt for her, that love that moved him to tears even while he spoke to the adoring crowd. Those tears that trickled his face... trickled down mine as well. So I cried for him. Because I have the luxury to cry in private. I have no crowd waiting for me to speak. I have no flights scheduled for me as I journey across the states to scrounge up the last voters I can. I have no eyes upon me. I have no audience waiting for me to make a mistake. But he does. And he's still going. He's resilient. He's brave. He's educated. He's hopeful. He's proud. And he should be. He is apart of history. (Imagine that. History.)

I cried for myself because I did my part. I voted. I picked a side. I believed in the choice I made. I believe in my candidate. I'm not Republican, I'm not a Democrat. I pick who moves me, which candidate's policies I believe in... I picked. Can you say the same? I pick who I want to win and who I believe will lead America in the direction I believe America should be going. I voted. I waited my turn and was happy to wait in line. For my turn to stand at the ballot and choose for myself. I didn't want anyone choosing for me. I chose. Did you? Because I don't want to hear comments/gripes/statements of any sort from someone who disagrees with the Presidential nominee who wins and you didn't even vote. Don't attempt to vote. Don't try to get there. DO IT. Period. DO IT. I cried because I did it. And I'm so wonderfully happy that I did.

I cried for grandmothers and grandfathers who are no longer here to see this day. As powerful a time this is. I don't see how anyone cannot vote. Imagine the countries where people don't even have the option to vote. Imagine the time when WOMEN couldn't dare vote. Imagine the day... when black people gave their lives for the OPTION. Now look at today. Women and black people are voting. They are planning to vote. They are excited to wait in line for hours... all day in places... just to get the chance to vote. My grandmothers and grandfathers are not here to see this day. They have all passed and went to a better place. But imagine the look on their faces to see this day. Imagine how proud they would be to see so many people wanting to vote and waiting to vote and VOTING?!?! I cried for them because I am here and I did my part. I cried for them because

I simply miss them. And I would love to be able to come home and say "I voted Granny/Mu'deah/Grandpas." But I can't so I cried because I couldn't. I cried for grandmothers and grandfathers all over the world who are no longer here. Simply because they are still loved.
I cried for Black people... because so many of us aren't even acknowledging the history of this Election. "1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. February 26, 1869."

Think about the people who were injured or lost their lives just to add that line to the constitution (and even when it was added, there was always intimidating ways to keep black people from doing so). I cried for those of us that won't even vote... simply because "they don't want to... their vote won't matter". The single act of being able to vote is taken for granted by so many. There are people on probation wishing they could vote... and some of us don't vote still. How many celebrities will it take to say something to us? How many family members have to drag us out to get registered and pick us up to make sure our vote counts? How easy it must be to be so careless. How hard it must be to realize you mattered... too late. I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to be apart of this. Why you wouldn't want to even have a say. No matter how you voted. Why wouldn't you want to vote... SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU COULD!? Because history was built on moments like this. Because history will continue to be built on moments like this. And I don't want to be a ranting woman... but... Don't you want to be apart of what could be history? Don't you want to have a say in what happens to your life for the next 4 years? Don't you want to be apart of the continuance of history that people died for? What's wrong with people like this.

Today I cried.

OBAMA WON THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!!!

"I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama, whose governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.I have a dream today."

"And I've looked over. And I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people will get to the promised land. And I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord. " - MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

We're on our way Martin. On our way. No we are not there completely... but we are on our way. And I thank you for seeing the dream. I thank you for letting it be known that the dream would come true. I have seen it for you. I have seen it with your children. I have seen it with my parents and family. I have seen that dream come true in front of my eyes. And as the tears flow... it's not simply for tonight. My tears are for history. My tears are for dreams. My tears are for the moments that register. And if you cannot look at the history made tonight... and feel something.... then... I feel sorry for you. I wish you could feel what I feel. So much was lost for this dream, for this possibility. And if you feel nothing... I cry for you too.

I look forward to telling my children about this historic event. This event I NEVER IMAGINED WOULD HAPPEN IN MY TIME... and I am 26 yrs old!!!! I'm young. And I never thought it would happen IN MY TIME!?!? Look at the world we live in. Look at it for what it is. And recognize the history. Recognize the future that will come. Recognize... Open your eyes and see history. And be proud that you were apart of it. Be proud that you were here. Be proud that you didn't have to give up anything to see it come true while you were on this earth.

We're on our way Malcolm, on our way Rosa, on our way Medgar. We're on our way... for all who gave their life for moments like this. Our president is a black man. History. And I am utterly happy. I am truly elated. I can't stop the tears. I can't stop the emotions. And I know when he speaks... I will tremble. I will feel his words in the pit of my soul. And I am here. I never thought. I never thought. I NEVER thought. And it is here. And I respect McCain for his words, although I don't respect his audience. I respect McCain for giving a well-written speech. America is beautiful.

America is growing. America is learning. America is evolving. And I am apart of it, just like you are. And that means something to me. I cry for you... because even if you don't feel it. I do. I feel it for you. So let my tears become your own. Let my tears pour for you. Imagine them. Let them be your own. I am simply proud to be an American today. And there were moments when I thought America was beginning to fail me, still failing my people. And this. Is hope. HOPE. One simple man... created such hope... Yes we can.

If you feel nothing... It's okay. I cried for you too.

---

Shalom,

Candace

"NOW IS THE TIME TO INHALE WHAT THE FATHER IS EXHALING"

www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

I Read A Stupid Blog About Redistribution of Wealth

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 122px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLD307C-ru7dK6UfZiH3XLRWtCRNKHKGlMtRptoPte_H1QNr3Pe-SRolHxHEFog4szD6qCnBUoIE8JDlblsDlxKtFZh_5kTvWGbxRg0ucVH7rSNc3QowHrF9gme_j9WplzE0EhyzLx6rYp/s200/money.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264868297815778274" />

The title of the blog was Trick or Treat - Redistribution. It went on to say how under Obama's legislation hard working Americans were going to pay into a welfare system for ungrateful and non working people.

My answer to this blog is below;

This country has been redistributing wealth under the Republican rule. Anyone with their own lucrative business understands this perfectly. As a business owner I know that my taxes will only increase by 3% under Obama’s rule but I also have tax credits that are given to me to offshore the 3.% hike. As an individual that makes more than $250,000 a years the taxed I pay are not going to hurt me because I can write off my expenses for my business. And even if I didn’t have a business 3% is not a lot folks.

For anyone to think that Obama is talking about a welfare system really has no concept of what he proposes ..All you have heard is sound bites and rhetoric from both the Republican candidates running for office and those that would love to see him elected.

This is not a welfare system where those that do not work get paid! He has said over and over again that you have to pay taxes. How do you do this? I think by working! Duh! If you don’t understand that then you really need to educate yourself further instead of reading and hearing what someone else says and running with it. Education is the key to ignorance. Everyone has an agenda and trust me those with money want to keep theirs and yours too!

To say that Democrats want to redistribute the wealth from the wealthy to the poor is not just the biggest load of bull, but it's one of the few things I would label as a "dangerous" idea.

The fact is, that under Republican administrations, and the piss-poor job Republicans have done with governing, we have already had redistribution of wealth. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that we've had a re-institution of slavery via indentured servitude.

Through Republicans' corporate-sponsored tax legislation, you have folks who don't work for a living paying a much lower tax rate than you do. You have large corporations sucking on the government's no-bid contract teat for contract after contract. You have government bought and paid for by corporate lobbyists.

Still don't believe me?

Ask your electric company. You've redistributed your wealth to them, thanks to Republican deregulation.

Ask your mortgage company. Thanks to Republican regulators asleep at the wheel, they raked it in with bait-and-switch and predatory lending tactics, lending on liar loans, and qualifying lenders on teaser rates. Thanks to Republican borrow-and-blow fiscal policy, rates went up, the housing market went down, and you and I just bought Fannie and Freddie back - completing the cycle of privatized profits and socialized risk.

Ask the petroleum companies. I don't even have to tell you that you've redistributed your wealth to them. You can thank Republican-instituted instability in the Middle East for that. You're about to redistribute even more of your wealth to them when your government lets them drill in our territory without paying full market lease rates and royalties. They want a subsidy from you and me, so they can keep selling oil into the world market at market rates. Drill, baby, drill - indeed.

Ask the foreign companies that your state is trying to sell all of your highways to. Every time you pay toll, you're redistributing your wealth to them.

Ask your cell phone company. Thanks to Republican lack of regulation, they provide crappy service at top rates. They rip you off, and you can't take them to court. You switch providers, and they'll hit you with an "early termination fee".

Ask big agribusiness. Now you get to pay them when you fill up at the pump. Your tax dollars pay them again through ethanol subsidies. Your wealth is transferred yet again when you pay twice what you did just a couple of years ago for your pesticide-laden, or hormone-pumped food.

Ask your employer, who by-and-large has not raised your pay enough to keep up with inflation.

Ask big pharma, to whom you have transferred more of your wealth in double-digit drug price inflation each year.

Ask the health insurers, if you're lucky enough to be able to dump $1200 a month of your income to them for family coverage. You've been transferring your wealth to them more and more.

ENOUGH!

Folks, I've said this before, and I'll say it again. If you earn less than $250,000 a year, you can't afford a down payment on that line of Republican bull. You can't afford to put that bull on layaway.

Redistribution of wealth is what the Republican party is all about. Redistribution of your wealth to those who already have wealth.

The first two steps to fixing any problem?

1. Realize there is a problem. John McCain has shown with his "fundamentals are strong" comment, that he is just out of touch.

2. Stop contributing to the problem. Elect Democrats to restore a fair and progressive tax code, and enact legislation that rewards the American worker who works hard and does the right thing.

When the economy and tax policy reward hard work and innovation, we will have less economic disparity.

www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

The Question of Obama's Religious Beliefs

The best speech Obama has ever given was not his famous 2004 convention address, but a June 2007 speech in Connecticut. In it, he described his religious conversion:

"One Sunday, I put on one of the few clean jackets I had, and went over to Trinity United Church of Christ on 95th Street on the South Side of Chicago. And I heard Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright deliver a sermon called “The Audacity of Hope.” And during the course of that sermon, he introduced me to someone named Jesus Christ. I learned that my sins could be redeemed. I learned that those things I was too weak to accomplish myself, he would accomplish with me if I placed my trust in him. And in time, I came to see faith as more than just a comfort to the weary or a hedge against death, but rather as an active, palpable agent in the world and in my own life.

It was because of these newfound understandings that I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity one day and affirm my Christian faith. It came about as a choice and not an epiphany. I didn’t fall out in church, as folks sometimes do. The questions I had didn’t magically disappear. The skeptical bent of my mind didn’t suddenly vanish. But kneeling beneath that cross on the South Side, I felt I heard God’s spirit beckoning me. I submitted myself to his will, and dedicated myself to discovering his truth and carrying out his works."

For any one still thinking that Obama is a Muslim really is willingly ignorant!

www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Obama's Informercial Inspired Me!

If you didn't get a chance to watch the Obama commercial last night
you missed a treat! I along with millions of Americans were moved with the eloquence of the speaker and the magnificence of it's production.

The show opens up with amber waves of grain, blowing in the wind, then widen to a big sky and an open prairie. Peaceful music. Waving hands. Smiling, inspired faces of average Americans citizens. Some are young, others old. Different races were represented and different regions across the states.

Obama's voice is heard saying "With each passing month, our country has faced increasingly difficult times. But everywhere I go, despite the economic crisis, the war and uncertainty about tomorrow, I still see optimism, and hope and strength."

"In six days, we can choose hope over fear and unity over division, the promise of change over the power of the status quo," Obama shouts, sounding much more fired up and ready to roll into the White House than he has in months."

"America, the time for change has come!"

He doesn't talk about McCain or Palin becuase it is not about them. What he want's you to know is that it is all about you, the people of the United Staes of America.

www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Righting the Wrong In Our Lives

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 151px; height: 100px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtcP6aEjIZ6EwM2WW6ap6OC1UKqcyaqLd3F0DFiHpN0ObunUYBaDGkrgAGXp5F3a4uWYeqBD6rDrMjWrfYcGDKyG26vFeSAs6mnAIwWS6g6VHeIs0kBJTVXPhnPraMf0Sst3ZycP5KUzV5/s200/meditation.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262445374529152866" />

When you embark on a quest to right wrong in your life you discover all kinds of things that you really didn’t want to know about yourself. Self reflection is a must for it allows you to see just who you are. Most people keep extremely busy just so they can avoid having the covers pulled back from their lives.

Everyone wants to be happy, but few want to expend the energy it takes to find out why peace and happiness is not allowed to matriculate in their sphere. By learning to take responsibility for yourself and the way you think about things, you can make your life more positive and uplifting, and reduce or totally negate the influence of any hurt or negative energies you encounter.

When I began the journey of looking within a brand new world opened up to me. I discovered that I and no one else determined my world. I had the power to change my circumstance by first changing me. How did I do this? First I changed my mind about me. On my journey I discovered that I really didn’t like me! Go figure! I was a wonderful person, or so I thought that I thought that. Did you catch that? Okay guys I am laughing over here as I write this. Maybe I should have said LOL. Sidebar- for you instant messengers.

Me, not like myself? Oh Yeah! Big time! I was shocked when I traced back to when I started developing this mindset. There was a period in my life early on in my teens when I was bombarded with negativity concerning my person. Everything up until that point convinced me that I was all of that and a bag of chips. When I was blindsided with the notion that I was not good enough and did not measure up my world was knocked off its axel.

Over the course of our lives we are bombarded with negative thoughts, energies or scenarios that may come not only from within us but also from outside ourselves or from others. We are surrounded by a network of people, media businesses, governments, all telling us what has been going on, what we should buy and do, what they think is best for us, or what we should think about something. As soon as we tune into the television, radio, or open a magazine, it all jumps out at us.

The quality of our lives, goals, and the way we think about ourselves become affected by the energies surrounding us, and thus our thoughts. We need to learn how to protect ourselves from these outside influences of negative or materialistic thoughts that may come from or are caused by others.

Since we are bombarded from the time we enter this world with negative energy it a process to rid ourselves of the effects from it. Everyone knows the media will blitz you with the way you should think, feel and act according to their dictates. You will have to take a good look at your life and decide who you are as a person. Decide what you want the quality of your life to be. Otherwise you will drift along in life with some one else’s values and belief system with out ever knowing your true potential and spiritual possibilities.

www.yourworldrealized.com

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Obama and Change We Need

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 145px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5OgEDjMntLdVwZPPsdM43ALnh0NRGuSRDhE1Kt92NDiIhaulDg6zxizKslE8IW7aGFpoG-HzPYBmIbaHDfWW_Q26iUorVuYqzKK0QX6bk8auCJPoOElV8Oew_CnaRBfqjCjBuCzz7hQr6/s200/eagle+4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262440122337881570" />

I always wonder why the cares of this life weigh heavily on me. “Why do I care so much” I ask myself. “What is it to me in the grand scheme of things?” Why am I so passionate about things that others seem to let slide? Is something wrong with me?

I don’t know, but what I do know is someone has to care. If Martin Luther King Jr. didn’t care about the state of the Black man as well as that of his counterpart then we would not enjoy the freedom as a race of people we have. If Mother Theresa hadn’t cared about the orphans and those less fortunate than we are, then the world would be a much more callused place to live in. If Al Gore didn’t care so much about our earth we wouldn’t have watch dogs for climate control that have caught the attention of the whole world.

Every major change and movement that we have experienced in the earth is because of someone caring passionately about an issue. There are so many great names with so many great feats that it would take volumes of books to list them in. Every major change has been for the greater good.

Let me make something perfectly clear. I am not talking about changes that have come about because of greed, avarice and a propensity to carry out a selfish agenda. I am talking about Change that unites us for good and prosperity for all. I am talking about Change that gives us an even playing field to carry out our God given potential and purpose. Change that forces us to evaluate ourselves and come to the conclusion that yes we can be better people. Change that allows us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves as the Bible says.

We don’t live in a vacuum as much as we would like to think that we do. Everything we do and say affects someone else. What kind of Change agent are you.

www.candacehouse.com

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Speaking of Sarah Palin and John McCain

Okay I said I was not going to say anything concerning the Sarah Palin/John McCain Issue but I have to. Let me digress a bit.

I tried to hold my piece and (not peace) and let the Lord fight this battle. LOL! Unfortunatly I have not been able to live up to this promise I made to myself. I am one that voices an OPINION, for whatever it is worth on a number of subjects concerning news worthy events. However on this I have stayed fairly silent. I know what the Lord showed me 4 yrs ago concerning this country and have been holding onto that.

What gets my goat is all of the Evangelical Christians that have not grabed a hold of tongue talking Sarah Palin and forced her to tell the TRUTH! If you are a so called Born Again Christian then your life should not be one of of continual lies! If caught in said lies then at least fess up to them. Her Lies and John McCain's have been pointed out over and over again and brought to the for-front however they STILL keep lying! I was a Repubilcan. However NO More with them on the ticket! To borrow from another's comments in regards to the JamaL Bryant video "America, we have had 8 years to legislate on "moral" issues and all that came of this Republican term was 9/11, an unnecessary war, Bin Laden running free (even if he is dead, he died on his own terms), higher gas prices, poor economy, GAY MARRIAGE ALLOWED IN STATES when there were none, abortion still is around. "

After sitting back and watching this farce, this is one of those times when I will speak through the voice of someone else and voice my opinion. Pastor Jamal Bryant speaks to the heart of the matter concerning what America looks like in the video below. George Cloony also has a blog that he wrote titled White Priveledge. http://dallaspenn.com/weblog/?p=2845 . Check It Out! And Decide For Yourself And Tell Me What You Think!

Jamal Bryant Speaks on Sarah Palin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al_y3g77ZsA

Christians need to take responsibility for how this country is run and not depend on the Government to decide moral issues. If we as Christinas get OUR lives in order for the World to see instead of looking like the world then we can make a difference. REPENT first and then Pray for our Government! Don't just pray and vote for whatever party that you decide is the lesser of 2 evils. REPENT for the atrocities that are allowed to go on in the NAME of Government. The war and genocides that are allowed to take place overseas all point back to America! This is from former Sec of States.

The Chickens truly have come home to roost. While on the homefront we wave our banner of moral issues concerning abortion and gay marriages which are not going away, We the Church are having as many abortions as the WORLD. We the Church have as many gays as the WORLD and a lot of them in the Pulpit!

What we need is CHANGE ALL THE WAY AROUND. I would rather vote for someone that is upfront about where they stand instead of talking out of both sides of their mouth. Abortions and Homosexuality are here to stay until the CHURCH CHANGES itself! It is time out to stop hiding behind government and take responsibility for our part in this.

I personally will vote for the person with the best plan for our economy. The moral issues need to be left up to the individuals and God. Seeing as how both sins that the Republican party ride their ticket on have been around since the begining of time I believe that the Lord when HE is ready will take care of this issue.

www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

Dream A Big Dream

Martin Luther King said that he had a dream. I am sure that when he first talked about this dream or vision people couldn’t get on board with it. Take for example Joseph, in the book of Genesis. He told his dream to his brothers and they tried to kill him because of it. Why? Because his dream elevated him above them.

The vision he had was beyond their comprehension. He also couldn’t articulate clearly what he saw. He did not understand the ramifications and requirements to fulfill this dream. His brothers knew he was favored by their father and that he placed much trust in Joseph.

With this in mind, Joseph lorded over his siblings that he had a special assignment. Jealousy from others will set in when the vision is so much bigger than you are . With this in mind let us look at Dr King.

His vision was HUGE. The county was racially devided. A lot of black people were afraid of his vision because they were so used to being second class citizens. They did not want to rock the boat for they were afraid of the ramifications. Others were ready for a change by any means necessary. They understood that change was often wrought by turmoil and were willing to pay the price. White people were afraid of his vision because they felt like he elevated himself above them. How dare he try and change the status quo! They wanted blacks to stay in their place. On the other hand you had a minority of whites at that time that knew it was time for a change and they embraced the vision of Dr King.

King was killed for his dream/vision and Joseph was sold into slavery. Yet and still because the Lord had given them the mandate and the vision He brought it to past! A God given vision has no choice but to come into fruition. Remember this vision is not for you. It is for the better of a people. You are just the vehicle or facilitator.

Hold Onto Your Vision

To have a vision or dream is to have a glimpse of something that God has specifically ordained for your life that He’s predestined for you and only you. The unique thing about your vision is that YOU are the only one who can see it and understand it. Your vision breeds passion, excitement, and anticipation just like a mother who’s about to give birth to an unborn child. Though she couldn’t physically see her child for a period of time, she loved and nourished it day by day. So it is with a vision. It is a process, an appointed time.

Are you struggling with the disappointment of others being jealous, non-supportive, and ignorant of my vision. I have. People I thought would embrace what God had given me did not. As a matter of fact they were waiting for me to fail. Some have even tried to sabatoge what I have been assigned to do. However God always has a ram in the bush. He sent me others that are encouragers and others that have been very instrumental in helping to bring the vision to past.

I had to learn that it’s not about other people and what they think, but it’s all about God and His timing for the vision to come to pass. After all, it wasn’t meant for others to see and understand. In time others will get on board and run with what He has given you. That’s why God gave the vision to me and not them. Hold onto YOUR vision, your dream, your passion. Don’t let anyone take it away from you. Keep trusting God and speak whatever positive thing or things that you desire for your life into the now. Ask God for what your heart desires most. Called the things that be not as though they were. Call the uncreated into creation. Make it to be so!

Understand that things sometimes don’t happen over night and then sometimes God performs a miracle and they do. Guard your heart from bitterness and resentment. I went there and did that and it was not pleasant. If you are there, repent (turn away from those negative attitudes and behaviors) and ask God to forgive and deliver you. Stop depending on people. God has told us that if He be for us, who can be against us? You will find that in holding on to your vision, it will get lonely sometimes. Until it manifests itself, you can’t expect others to see or believe it. It’s like when a woman is pregnant. No one else in the room can have that baby but her at that moment. Your vision has to be birthed by you and only you.

Hold onto YOUR vision no matter what it looks like! Other people around you may be realizing their dreams and yours seem like it is still at the baby stage. Others are galloping ahead at full speed and you have not even gotten out of the stall. Don’t despair and don’t give up! Because it shall come to past as long as you keep moving into the things that God has for you.

Don’t be an imitator of someone else. You know what He has told YOU! Wait on it! Be in peace and know that what He has for you is for YOU!

www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

2008 Prophetic Word

Listen with your spirit to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying.
Many of you during this past year (2007) have been experiencing birthing pangs. Which were deep moves of My Spirit that have at times been painful. I have comforted you and spoken to many of you that you have been birthing My will for your lives, birthing My heart in your lives and being transformed more and more into My image.

As you have praised your way through these birthing pains and have endured them while still in obedience to my Word, I speak unto you that 2008 shall be the year where you shall see the fruit of this birthing.

This year is a year of radical transformation. This birthing will will not only radically transform your lives, but will transform the lives of those around you that you share this fruit with.

This fruit will come in the form of new ministry opportunities, new desires,
new moves of My Spirit within your hearts, deeper compassion, grace and
love, and deeper forgiveness to those around you.

For there is a time coming in this year where there will be a mighty
wind of My Spirit that is going to blow across My Church. This wind is an Euroclydon better known as North Eastern that is going to bring about a greater movement of healing and miracles and will be received by those who are willing and open to hearing My Spirit.

This Wind of Miracles is also the wind of judgment. (See Ps.89.14) It is a Rough Wind...see Is. 27.8. You will see Acts 5 in this wind! East winds brings locusts and dryness as well. (Ex.10.13; 14.21) for those that have not embraced the things of my Spirit.

My wind will produce great supernatural events/angelic activities and full operation of gifts/ministries. For those that have been journeying through Lodebar there will be a restoration of all things that have been taken from you. Creative miracles will be common place. You will hear more of translations and raising of the dead during this next season.

However along with this wind will come a hardness of hearts of those that do not want to conform to my Word. Both in the church and without. Because of this a Wave of Great Persecution will be released against the Church in these coming hours to wash and blow away all that is not of me.

Remember this is the same wind that both Jonah and Paul experienced!

Those who have been allowing Me to birth much within them shall be these ones that will see this mighty wind coming, and will alert all around them to be ready to receive.

Get in place and learn of me for the winds are blowing in this hour!

May You Rest In The Shalom(Peace) of God,
www.candacehouse.org

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

You Have Skirted This Mountain Too Long!

Zerubbabel was a descendant of King David (1 Chronicles 3:1,19 - see also Israelite Dynasties) who led a large group of Jews back to Jerusalem after their seventy years exile in Babylon.

Zerubbabel was given the task of doing what could not be stopped because The Lord cannot be stopped: He was given the commission to re-build the temple.

So he answered and said to me:
“ This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts. ‘ Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone. With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “ The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you. For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.” Zech 4:6-10

Is there a mountain before you this day? Does it appear insurmountable? Like the children of Israel, have you taken your journey into the wilderness and skirted Mount Seir for many days? Hear the word of God to Moses, saying: "You have skirted this mountain long enough, turn northward.

To Zerubbabel He said : "Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of "Grace, grace to it!"

Let that be a word for you today! God will cause us to triumph. With God, there is always a way out, a way around, or a way through the wilderness and a way into His promises. He is the way, the truth and the life; He is the door. He's the how, the when and the where of it all!

Despise not the day of small things, for even as the eyes of the Lord rejoiced to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel, He will rejoice over you when he sees you holding that thing you have believe for.

http://www.candacehouse.org/

© Candace House 2007, All Rights reserved.

http://feeds.feedburner.com/CandaceHouseLiveBloging

The Homosexual Agenda-GLSEN

Last week I had on my show Todays Breathing Room Heide Janshon and Lisa Darrell. Our discussion was titled the Homosexual Agenda and Leadership. The show took an interesting turn however. I wanted to talk about gays in leadership in the Church and instead we talked about GLSEN which is the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network. This organization’s agenda is to indoctrinate our school children into exploring the gay life style at much younger ages. This group is comprised of educators whose sole role in life is to brainwash our children to accept the homosexual agenda.

The Traditional Values Coalition proposes GLSEN gets into schools by claiming that “homosexual” and “transgender” students need to feel safe and encouraged; and that so-called “homosexual/transgender” teens have high rates of suicide and need a support group. When this tactic fails, GLSEN then threatens legal action against school districts that refuse to allow these recruitment clubs on campus. The American Civil Liberties Union has volunteered to serve as the enforcement arm of GLSEN to impose a homosexual agenda on the nation’s public schools

You can listen live to the radio broadcast to find out what educators are really teaching your children. Click on the archive for Oct 8th. Parents would be alarmed at some of the material being sponsored by our school system to undermine what they are being teached at home.

According to an article that came out in TIME magazine this month kids are disclosing their homosexuality with unprecedented regularity–and they are doing so much younger. The average gay person now comes out just before or after graduating high school, according to The New Gay Teenager, a book Harvard University Press published this summer. The book quotes a Penn State study of 350 young people from 59 gay groups that found that the mean age at which lesbians first have sexual contact with other girls is 16; it’s just 14 for gay boys. In 1997 there were approximately 100 gay-straight alliances (GSAs)–clubs for gay and gay-friendly kids–on U.S. high school campuses. Today there are at least 3,000 GSAs–nearly 1 in 10 high schools has one–according to the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN, say “glisten”), which registers and advises GSAs. In the 2004-05 academic year, GSAs were established at U.S. schools at the rate of three per day.

Have you ever noticed that if you say anything contrary to what gays believe then you are a gay basher and homophobic? I am not a gay basher or am I homophobic. I have had 2 gay friends of mine that I loved dearly die. One died from AIDS ,the other was murdered by his lover.

I still however have friends that are gay. I do not condone their lifestyle. However I still love them. Jesus hates their lifestyle but still loves them very much so. What I don’t like however is gay people trying to seduce my children into exploring their lifestlye. So for those of you that would send me hate mail saying I am intolerant of others, FORGET IT. But [the angel] said to me,See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God!For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10)

A prophet, or prophetic ministry will be known by what it does, not by what it says it is. He or she will use the prophetic gift to speak forth the mind and counsel of God for repentance to be taught and righteousness to be preached in order to bring restoration and a return back to God and healing of broken bodies, souls and spirits.

What is written and said will be a testimony of the truth of Jesus—as revealed from Genesis to Revelation. They will communicate God’s priorities, the present day utility of God’s power and His purposes as He speaks.

Paul states that Jesus Christ is the only foundation to be laid: 1 Corinthians 3:11: “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

The modern day prophetic ministry will speak words of exhortation, comfort and revelation. There will also be individual and corporate edification, learning and comfort. In public usage exercise of the prophetic gift will prove to be a sign for believers.

This ministry will covet to exercise the prophetic gift for the purpose of edifying the Church of God whether it be in writings or in speaking.

Maturing the saints by preparing them for works of public service, or ministry, and teaching them how to build up the body of Christ is the mandate of the prophetic. Its purpose is to bring about unity of the faith that comes with the knowledge of the Son of God so that the body of Christ will mature into the full measure of Christ Himself.

Unity in the body of Christ is emphasized and must be based upon the truth of scripture, not other devices which overlook or ignore the truth of the Bible. All must be based upon the knowledge of the Son of God, which comes from the truth of the Word of God which teaches us of Christ.

A true prophetic ministry, just like the true Christian prophet, understands that their influence over others only comes when and if others voluntarily and willingly follow their example of personal holiness and servanthood to others by their public service, freely given.

© 2007 Candace House.
