Passend zu Herbstanfang trage ich heute ein schönes gedecktes Kirschrot. Cherry Counter aus der Reihe der Volume Gloss Gel Look Polishes von P2 hält was er verspricht. Das Jelly Finish zaubert einen wundervollen Glanz und erspart euch den Topcoat. Für eine sattes Farbergebnis habe ich drei dünne Schichten aufgetragen. Wie findet ihr die Volume Gloss Reihe von P2? Könnt ihr vielleicht einen weiteren Lack empfehlen?

The fall season has started. What would be more suitable than a beautiful vampy nail polish? Cherry Counter from the Volume Gloss series by P2 is wonderful glossy cherry-red. China Glaze Lubu Heels meets Ruby Pumps! That's what I thought when I saw it for the first time. Birthday Kiss by Manhattan Cosmetics is maybe THE vampy glitter polish...

...at least for me?! I'm loving it. It's such a beautiful, feminine, and festive polish. Birthday Kiss is part of Manhattan's limited birthday collection. If you want it, hurry up :) The bottle contains 11ml and costs 2,25€. On the pictures you see two coats + topcoat.

P2 Leather Matte Polish - Insider's Diary

The moment of revelation has come...

Say hello to my "new" nails! Most of you will ask yourself what happened.

Well, I will answer it with one picture, but first let me show you today's haul.

P2 Leather Matte Polish - 070 Insiders Diary (10ml / 2,45€)

Cute, huh? It's supposed to create "the ultimate leather look." If you ask me, it looks like a matte burgundy polish with a fine sand texture. Do you know what I like most about such nail polishes? It's the drying time. Apply two thin coats and you are ready to go. The Leather Matte collection consists of 8 shades. Do you like it? Maybe I will buy the black one too.

Oh and here's the reason for the new shape of my nails.

For Hobbits, Elves and Khaleesis: Fingerless Dragon Scale Gloves

I'm back again! After a long hiatus, I've decided to start blogging again. However, instead of showing you a manicure I wanted to do something special. Fall is around the corner and it's time to get prepared :)

Thus, I made some cozy fingerless gloves! The pattern is called "crocodile stitch", but hey! Dragons are way cooler ;) I used a crochet hook size 3mm and a bordeaux gradient yarn by Wolle Rödel (200m/50g). The color is beautiful and just perfect for the "Smaug" look. Of course you can also use different colors. Light colors will make the gloves really elegant and fairy-like. Brown yarn will transform your hands into pinecones. It's up to you.

Unfortunately, I can't give you a detailed tutorial, but I will try my best to explain it. Follow the instructions of Meladora's video tutorial, but crochet only 8 rows of scales. Next, connect the last and the first scale of the 8th row with a slip stitch. Crochet 4 rows of scales and, finally, make the cuff. I made it with double crochet stitches, but you can use other methods. And that's it! It looks very complicated, but it isn't.

I'm alive! Thanks for your sweet comments and mails <3 The reason for the hiatus is simple. I broke two nails. Two heavy folders fell on my hand. (Don't ask me how this happened. Only I am capable of such accidents...) I tried to rescue my nails by shaping them oval. Well! I hated the new shape and decided to wait and let my nails grow. It's good to be back. Today, I'm wearing Kiko Sea Blue from the Sugar Mat Collection. Nice, isn't it?

Kiko Blue Ink (335) with silver marbling and square studs by Born Pretty Store. Do you like it? It's not how I imagined it, but I love the delicate marbling in combination with the studs. It's elegant and edgy. Thus, just my style.

Born Pretty Store 15pc Nail Art Design Brush Set

It's time for another review! Today, I'm showing you the 15pc Nail Art Design Brush Set by Born Pretty Store. I don't have many nail art brushes. Thus, I can't make a great comparison, but I will share with you my first impression.

Let's have a closer look at the differnet brushes:

4 flat brushes - Good for one stroke designs, but not exclusively.

3 striping brushes - Perfect for fine lines like in my Lana Del Rey inspired mani.

2 fan brushes - I can't wait to make my first fan brush mani! Deborah made a very pretty one :)

1 dotting tool - For dots and scraped designs.

3 detail brushes - A must have for delicate designs.

2 angled brushes - Maybe also for one stroke. I'm using the one with the orange bristles to clean up my manis.

The quality of the brushes is good. So far they haven't lost bristles, which is a big plus. Of course you can't expect high quality brushes for $5.96, but they are great for nail art newbies. I will use them in the next nail designs and tell you more about each brush.

Moonstone Ring

Normally, I don't wear rings, but I was lost the moment I set my eyes on it. Isn't it gorgeous? Look at the play of light and color within the moonstone.

I love the fact that it's real silver, else I wouldn't have bought it. It simply doesn't make sense to waste such a beautiful stone on bling jewelry. I bought it at a medieval store at my parents place, but I'm sure that you can find sth similar on Ebay. Do you like stone jewelry? I would also like to have a piece with fire opal, but a girl can dream, right?

I love foil polishes. They are perfect if you are in a hurry. Most of them dry quickly and they are also pretty opaque. Color Line 31 is one of them. I needed two thin coats for opacity.

Ebelin Professional Make Up + Concealer Pinsel

So this is it, the first German drugstore flat top brush. I'm happy with my B.E.C Buffer Foundation Brush and I actually wanted to buy a second one, but now that Ebelin released sth similar I thought I should give it a try. Ebelin's "Professional Make Up + Concealer Pinsel" is available at DM and costs 3,95€, which is pretty cheap in contrast to some similar brushes by MAC or Shiseido.

Of course, I can't help you out with a full review, but I would like to share my first impressions. I've already read some negative opinions and I'm happy to say that I disagree!

I like the fact that it's bound tighter than my B.E.C buffer. It's super soft, it doesn't lose bristles and the overall quality is good. The only thing that I could criticize is the size. I would have prefered a bigger brush. Well, you can't have everything, right?

Ebelin (left) & B.E.C (right) - Sorry for the dirty brush! I couldn't wait to write this post :)

I used it with liquid foundation (MAC Studio Fix) and all I can say is-WOW! It created a smooth even finish. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how it works with creme blush or concealer. If you don't have a problem with the way it is bound, you should give it a chance.

P2 Sand Style Nail Polish - Illegal

It's snowing like crazy, my fridge is empty and it seems like everyone but me will be able to watch the 3rd season of GOT :( Life's not a bed of roses...

Speaking of roses, today I have a red sand polish for you. Illegal is just as gorgeous as the other ones that I've shown you! Deborah was wondering what the sand polishes would look like with top coat:

P2 Sand Style Nail Polish - Strict

I got the other three polishes, but Strict was hard to find. Believe it or not, but I have to visit 8 DMs to get it. (Just in case anyone from Frankfurt is reading this: In the end, Jenny and I found it in Sachsenhausen/Südbahnhof.) Now I see why it is so popular.

The combination of silver sand and glitter is simply perfect. Strict was made for gloomy days. Let me show you why.

Astra Holo Lacquer - 705

Happy Women's Day! It's not very popular here in Germany and I think it's time to change that. Enjoy yourself :)
A beautiful sunny day requires a nice holographic polish, don't you think? Have a look at this Italian beauty.

It's one of the amazing holos from the wonderful swap with Aly. Astra Holo Lacquer 705 has a GREAT formula. I'm wearing two coats, but ladies with short nails might get away with one. If you live in Italy and you don't have any of them, you know what you have to do ;)

Last but no least, a quick reminder for my German ASoIaF fans: Make sure you don't miss the premiere of the second season! (20:15 on RTL2)

P2 Sand Style Nail Polish - Seductive

I finally found the new texture polishes by P2! Actually, I wanted to buy four of six shades, but then I realized that I've never worn a texture polish and that I should test it first. Hence, I bought only Seductive, a medium bordeaux with golden glitter.

Amazing! I really love its smooth texture. I can't stop staring at my nails. This is so cool :D

Don't be afraid of the application. It's easier than expected. I'm wearing two thin coats. Ahhh...I hope I can find the other three shades tomorrow. Do you like texture polishes? I'm already looking forward to the ones by Essence.

Mirror, Mirror On My Nails...

May I introduce to my first true chrome polish?

Kiko did a great job with the Mirror Nail Lacquer Collection. I only bought the silver one 616, but I'm thinking about getting two more shades.

They are beautiful, but special when it comes to application. Unfortunately, they emphasize every irregularity. Make sure you use a ridge filler as a base coat. The drying time is fast, so you better be faster! The brush strokes are visible, but not very much. You need only one coat for opacity.

Do you have chrome polishes? Can you recommend some brands?

P2 Color Victim - Bloggers' Choice

The name is self-explanatory. It's definitely a color that I would have chosen too! It's strange and unique, thus a perfect candidate for my stash. I would describe it as a yellowish green foil - almost golden. I wouldn't wear it alone, but here's a picture for the sake of completeness.

The formula is great, but you need two coats for opacity.

Now, let me show you the reason why I bought it...

P2 Last Forever Nail Polish - Who Do You Love?

P2 is on the fast lane. I found the new polishes and all I have to say is: WOW! One that drew my attention was Who Do You Love?, a great substitute for Chanel Vertigo.

I have two lightbox pictures for you that show the beautiful pink shimmer!

Isn't it pretty? In natural light, it looks almost black, but in the sun the shimmer shows up. Have you found the new products by P2? I can't wait to get my hands on the texture polishes, but my DM has supply difficulties :/

Essence Nail Art Magnet - Cool Wave

Yes! Essence finally managed to make some good magnets. If you still like magnetic nail polishes, you should give them a try. They are really good, not like the nail art magnet pen. (I can't recommend it! It's too weak.)

I used Cool Wave in combination with Nabi Wine. Oh, I love the design. It's so simple and beautiful.

What do you think about magnetic nail polishes? Are they still trendy?
