USDMJam 2013 (Japan): Official Coverage Part.1.

USDM? What is it? What does it mean? Simply, “United States Domestic Market.” United States domestic market (USDM) is a term used chiefly by automotive enthusiasts to describe the US economic market for automobiles and parts. A similar automotive enthusiast term, Japan Domestic Market (JDM) is used to designate Japanese-market for automobiles and parts. To Japanese automotive enthusiasts, however, their desire is for parts that are only available in United States or Canada, such as different body pieces, motors, or entire model lines. Basically our unwanted parts are their treasure, just like their unwanted parts become our treasure. The mastermind behind the USDMjam event is Tetsuya Yamaguchi, owner of the famous Yamazstore located in the Tsu City, Mie Prefecture of Japan. Yamazstore is the flagship store for any USDM enthusiast in Japan who is into body parts, engines, front end conversions, paint, accessories and other USDM goodies. Tetsuya san has been giving back to the USDM community by throwing these events for the USDM fans, where they can come and hang out and enjoy their works of pride.

Southern Worthersee 2013 (Helen, GA): Official Video #1

It’s official, Southern Worthersee now rivals H20 International for the best Volkswagen/Audi show on the east coast. 2013 was noticeably larger than any previous year. There were more people, cars, burnouts, and cops than ever before. Thankfully Helen, Georgia still welcomes the stance crowd with open arms. The level of craftsmanship and style was, as always, unbelievable. The amount of money, time, and effort put into these cars is staggering. In addition, it never ceases to amaze me how far people come for this show. Some of the license plates this weekend included Utah, Toranto, and Mexico. They make our humble trip from Philly seem like a breeze. I had a blast providing this coverage and I hope you all enjoy! Hope you enjoy the video.

For eighteen years the Toyota Owner’s and Restorer’s Club have been holding an annual meet of all things Toyota. Hundreds of Toyota owners and fans made the journey out to the Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach to view the wide range of vehicles displayed. Just like the previous years I have attended Toyotafest didn’t disappoint. As I made the drive to the event I couldn’t help but wonder what I would come across this year.

SumoSpeed Presents: SpringFest 2013 Official Video (Virginia Beach, VA)

As the show season kicks off again this year, we all have our favorite events to look forward to months ahead. On my personal list of favorite shows is Springfest, an annual gathering presented by Virginia Beach’s Sumospeed crew. Every year the event grows larger and larger and the venue stays packed throughout the whole day. Every kind of car is welcome and there is a range of class entries for all kinds to enter. Stanced cars fitted on air and proper wheels were once again the popular favorites but a variety of muscle cars, exotics, and classics were proudly shining in attendance as well. We braved a handful of heavy downpours during the day, but once the sun came back out and dried the rain we got back to enjoying one of the biggest car show spectacles ever seen in Virginia Beach. Hope you guys enjoy the video!

Over the years of my automotive adventures between writing, photographing, and attending events all over the states, I have met and befriended incredibly talented and skilled enthusiasts; and the occasional crazy cool kids. Sam Sapula is without a doubt one of those oddballs that you just cant help but buddy up with, and his STI is a car that is as maniacal as it is astounding. Talent, skill and straight up lunacy is what makes both Sam and his car impressively unique and quite truthfully, a reflection of each other.

Well, it’s that time of week again; where clocking out gives a much more appreciated time away from work. Weekends are when we get projects done; wheels mounted, tires stretched, and stance all dialed in. To send you off into this weekend, Taylor Robinson provided us with a couple shot’s he took of Paul’s Skyline rollin’ down the highway. Sitting on a set of 18″x10.5″ Panasport G7′s, this particular Skyline exemplifies a simple, yet tasteful aesthetic. Thanks for the pictures Taylor!
