Wednesday Equipment Migration –All Hands on Deck!

This is a reminder that the migration of the equipment is happening on Wed. April 11th. Meet at Kitty’s at 5:30pm. Anyone who has a truck, it would be great if you could bring it. We will have pizza after at MHS. The membership meeting starts at 7:00 with a guest speaker from Search and Rescue. She will have several dogs with her for the demonstration, so we are asking that members not bring their dogs this time. The membership meeting will start at 8:00. Please come and be a part of the discussion. See you on Wed.

Opportunity Knocks: Join a CATS Committee

Spring is a great time to join a CATS Committee! Committee work is the nuts and bolts of what keeps our club running. So ask yourself, what benefits does the club provide that you most appreciate—and please get involved in making that happen.

If you love our equipment, please join the Equipment committee and get involved in taking care of our most valuable assetts. If you love get-togethers, please join the Social committee and help make our get togethers more fun. If you love getting new-comers started competing, please join the Show n Go committee. If you want CATS to have more speakers or to do more presentations, join the Speakers/Program committee. How about spreading the word about CATS and CATS events? Join the Publicity Committee. If you’re more of a thinker/reader, please consider our need for a Club Librarian.

Please send an email to our club secretary, Dayle Z, if you would like to volunteer for a committee. If you already volunteered for a committee on your member renewal, relax–she’s got that info. Check the next issue of Cannine Chronicle to make sure you’re signed up for the committees you’ve selected. (Her email address can be found on the member list in the copy of the Cannine Chronicle that comes to your email address. Or contact her through the CATS Yahoo group.)

Spring Equipment Move on April 11, 5:30 p.m.

It’s that time! Mother Nature has delivered spring early this year, so we’re not going to waste any time getting the equipment moved back into the agility field. On Wednesday, April 11, we need all hands on deck to help move our equipment from storage at Kitty’s, back down to the agility field at MHS. After we unload, we will have pizza followed by our membership meeting speaker about canine search and rescue.

5:30 p.m. Meet at Kitty’s – please bring your truck if you have one — followed by pizza for all equipment movers after we’ve unloaded at MHS.

7:00 p.m. Membership meeting speaker: Canine Search and Rescue – please stay and learn more about this important work.

8:00 p.m. …perhaps we’ll do something social…!

ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

We need one or two volunteers to work with Noel on the training committee. If you are interested in helping out or finding out what’s involved, please contact Noel. If you don’t get an email response, please call. Her contact info is on the member list, which is at the back of the newsletter.

Reminder: On March 31 the MHS training center is NOT available to CATS.

New Additional MHS Training Hours for CATS Members

Effective immediately, MHS has reserved an addtional two hour time slot for CATS memebers to use the training center room for our winter agility practice. In addition to our Saturday evenings starting at 4:00 p.m., we now have from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Thursdays to practice. This will be especially helpful to members who trial on the weekends and cannot take advantage of the Saturday hours.

CATS use of MHS Training Room hours:

Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Saturdays: 4:00 p.m. – whenever

Please note:
MHS Training Room is NOT available on March 31 due to an event.
