Portable vaporizers are a great compromise for an individual that is looking for the middle ground between a table top vaporizer and a pen vaporizer. Portable vaporizers are easy to travel with and typically smaller than their table top counterparts. Cannabis.ca sells vaporizers from all the major companies.

The MIGHTY vaporizer is manufactured by Storz & Bickle, a renowned company that is known for the Volcano vaporizer and the Crafty vaporizer. They have been in the business for many years and they are a recognized manufacturer that makes excellent products. The MIGHTY vaporizer is the company’s first major attempt at making a successful portable vaporizer.

One of the first things you will notice about the MIGHTY vaporizer is its overall similarity to the Crafty vaporizer. Stylistically, it is almost identical. How does the MIGHTY vaporizer compare to its sibling? The MIGHTY vaporizer is bigger than the Crafty, but that doesn’t take away from its portability. When you are considering the MIGHTY, think of it as a portable home vaporizer that is capable of traveling.

The MIGHTY vaporizer also has a stronger battery. It is capable of lasting for up to 90 minutes, whereas the Crafty has a 45 minute lifespan. The charging cable for the MIGHTY vaporizer is also substantially longer, 6 feet versus the Crafty’s 2.5 foot cable. One area where the MIGHTY is superior to the Crafty is in its ability to be used immediately after being plugged in during the charging process. When the CRAFTY is dead, you need to wait almost 25 minutes for it to be usable. With the MIGHTY, it is possible to use it the moment you plug it in. This is a major advantage if your vaporizer happens to die during a vape session as it will allow you to continue enjoying your herb.

In terms of the herb chamber, both devices use a similar system and there isn’t a major difference between the two. The MIGHTY’s top piece is slightly bigger, but the overall experience is largely the same.

The MIGHTY vaporizer features a screen that shows you the current temperature while the Crafty requires a smartphone app to control the temperature. Depending on your style of usage, the MIGHTY is more accessible and doesn’t require the installation of an app to function. The device heats up in around 90 seconds, a time that many would consider fairly average in the vaporizer community. Some of the higher end vaporizers may heat up quicker, but 90 seconds isn’t too long. Once you have achieved your desired temperature, the vaporizer will vibrate to let you know that it’s ready for use.

Packing the chamber is relatively easy with the MIGHTY vaporizer. It comes equipped with a filling tool that is easy to use. You simply attach it to the top of the chamber and put your material in it. The tool simplifies the packing process and reduces waste and over-packing. In addition, the tool is easy to clean and reduces messiness commonly associated with the packing process. The device provides a clean and crisp vapor that is guaranteed to satisfy.

The MIGHTY vaporizer is sturdy. This is something that has become a common feature of all vaporizers made by Storz & Bickle. As a trusted brand in the vaporizer community, they continue to manufacture high quality products that last for many years through extended use.

If you are looking for an all-around vaporizer that is capable of providing a clean vapor, the MIGHTY vaporizer is a great choice for you. Cannabis.ca carries many Storz & Bickle vaporizers. We offer free shipping to customers in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, and throughout all of Canada. If you have any questions about the MIGHTY vaporizer, please feel free to visit our website today.

There are many different ways to enjoy essential oils and herb. Traditional methods include heating the oils up, rolling joints, pipes, and bongs. Yet, none of those options compare to the style and efficiency of vaporizers. Cannabis.ca sells portable vaporizers, pen vaporizers, table top vaporizers, and vape accessories.

Vaporizers are a modern approach to recreational smoking. They are innovative devices that simplify the process of consuming herb and essential oils, and while they may be more expensive than traditional methods, they are worth every penny in the long-term. When looking at vaporizers and vape accessories, there are several questions that you should ask yourself in order to determine which type of vaporizer you need.

Choosing Your Vaporizer

First off, think about how you plan to enjoy your recreational smoking. Will you be consuming herb, oils, or both? Do you plan to do it in the comfort of your own home, on the go, discreetly, or casually? All of these questions will help you decide which type of vaporizer is best for you.

Table top vaporizers are not easily portable and are best suited for an individual who plans to sit down at home and enjoy his or her substances. A popular table top vaporizer is the Volcano series, which are known for their innovative controls and high quality heating system.

Maybe you prefer a more portable vaporizer. Portable vaporizers are smaller and capable of traveling with their user. If you require even more convenience, pen vaporizers are pocket sized and easily used in any situation. When choosing a vaporizer, you must consider your lifestyle and how you will want to use it.

Vaporizers and Heating: Conduction vs. Convection

Vaporizers come in two distinct styles. Conduction, a method of heating where the herb comes into direct contact with the heating surface and convection, a method that utilizes hot air to heat your herb and oils. Most vaporizer enthusiasts agree that convection is a superior method of heating your consumables, but it is also more expensive.

Both heating styles are featured in all types of vaporizers, including pen vaporizers, table top vaporizers, and portable vaporizers.

Temperature Control

The next thing to consider is what type of control scheme you want for managing the temperature of your vaporizer. Most modern vaporizers feature digital controls. However, certain companies stick with analog control systems. There is a significant difference in the accuracy of the two systems, but in general, most vaporizers are capable of reaching the so-called popular temperatures. In the end, temperature becomes a personal topic as you discover which heat settings you prefer to enjoy your consumables at.

Battery Life

Before deciding on a vaporizer, always take a look at its battery life. Owning a vaporizer with a short battery life is irritating. Most reputable companies manufacture batteries that are capable of powering the device for several hours of continuous use. Check out the details and make sure that the batteries are able to last as long as your session does.

Vape Accessories

So you are planning to buy a vaporizer, but before you do, take a second to think about what vape accessories you will need. If you are buying a table top vaporizer, you will want to purchase a carrying case. Does your vaporizer have a low-life expectancy on certain parts? You may want to consider buying backup parts in order to ensure that you can always enjoy your vape sessions without any hiccups.

Cananbis.ca sells pen vaporizers, table top vaporizers, portable vaporizers, and vape accessories. We are committed to helping our customers discover high quality vaporizers that improve the enjoyability of their sessions. We offer shipping to Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, and all of Canada.

Liam McKnight suffers from a rare form of epilepsy known as Dravet syndrome. When he was 9-months old, he suffered his first seizure, a moment that was terrifying for his parents who had no idea why their baby son was going through such a traumatic experience.

Up until the age of six, Liam suffered up to 12 seizures per day. He gained a sense of normalcy in his life when he was prescribed medical cannabis as a way to treat his debilitating seizures. While cannabis oil doesn’t cure his seizures, it helps reduce the number of seizures he is exposed to without subjecting him to the negative effects of cannabis.

“It’s just giving him an opportunity to live, to not just be home seizing,” Liam’s mother Mandy McKnight told The Telegram.

For most of Liam’s early life, Mandy was on edge, always awaiting the next seizure.

“You’re always anxious. You’re always waiting, you never relax,” says Mandy, who is from Torbay, but lives in Ottawa. “You’re always anticipating a seizure, no matter what. … You’re constantly on edge.”

The seizures forced Liam to wear a helmet and he was suffering permanent damage from the frequency at which they occurred.

“He’s always at risk of permanent damage or death from seizures,” Mandy added.

Mandy came into contact with a man from Minnesota in 2012. He told the family about medical cannabis oils. At first, they were skeptical, but they quickly saw the health benefits of cannabis oils and how they could help their son live a normal life. It provided their son with a healthy way to treat his seizures that didn’t include hundreds of prescription pills that were highly addictive and damaging.

“If people think these kids aren’t high already, they are delusional,” said Mandy. “If the cannabis — it’s non- psychoactive — is going to give him an opportunity to be a normal kid, to not be drugged up on all these other medications, (we’re going to try it).”

Liam’s neurologist refused to write the prescription. At the time, cannabis legalization was a hot topic and one that many doctors refused to partake in. The family was forced to search all across the country for a doctor who was willing to help the family obtain cannabis oil. The family found a willing doctor in Edmonton. They quickly applied for a medical cannabis license and began to treat their son.

The results were immediately noticeable. The frequency and duration of the seizures dropped and Liam began to live a normal life. A boy that used to suffer from daily seizures went almost 10 days without a single one by June 2014.

The McKnights were able to take their son outside to enjoy recreational activities that they never would have considered before discovering the benefits of medical cannabis.

Tubing!” Mandy exclaimed. “I couldn’t believe it.”

Up until the recent Supreme Court ruling, Mandy was forced to obtain Liam’s cannabis oil in an illegal manner. However, the recent ruling in favor of medical cannabis legalization has legalized medical cannabis oils and has made it a lot easier for her to obtain this life changing and safe treatment for her son.

The McKnight’s struggle showcases the importance of cannabis legalization and the necessity for the government to act in favor of individuals and families that require medical cannabis to better their lives. The war on drugs isn’t necessary and innocent families shouldn’t be forced to obtain life changing medicines through illegal means.

Cannabis.ca supports cannabis legalization all throughout the country. We work hard to spread awareness about recreational cannabis and medical cannabis.

Medical marijuana legalization is a new phenomenon in Canada. Previously, marijuana was illegal and medical marijuana was difficult to obtain. However, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled in favor of medical marijuana legalization on June 11.

The decision created a vacuum for Health Canada who was ill-equipped to deal with the sudden demand for medical marijuana. Previously, Canadians were limited to dried forms of marijuana, but the Supreme Court’s decision opened up in-need Canadians to all forms of the drug. Despite the ruling, Health Canada has quickly adapted methods of distribution in order to ensure that Canadians can benefit from medical marijuana legalization.

Health Canada has authorized several legal dispensaries to sell oils and fresh versions of marijuana so long as they follow standard procedure for packaging and labelling. Canadians who support medical marijuana legalization were happy with the decision as it showed the country was willing to become a leader in compassionate and responsible use of marijuana.

Still, some government officials, like Health Minister Rona Ambrose, believe that the government acted out of necessity to control the marketplace and to stop it from being flooded from illegitimate sources.

“It’s important that Canadians understand that marijuana is not an approved drug in Canada or an approved medicine. It has not gone through what is the very rigorous testing for safety and efficacy that every drug in Canada goes through,” Ambrose said at an unrelated event in Edmonton Wednesday.

Ambrose has not hidden her stance on medical marijuana, something that she is strongly against. Yet, she has been forced to recognize it as a legal medical substance within the country.

“(Health Canada) will implement what the Supreme Court has said in their court-imposed marijuana for medicinal purposes program. But their first top-of-line message is, ‘Marijuana is not a medicine.’”

The original Supreme Court ruling deemed that it was arbitrary and unjust to limit medical marijuana to dried forms of the plant.

“The prohibition of non-dried forms of medical marijuana limits liberty and security of the person in a manner that is arbitrary and hence is not in accord with the principles of fundamental justice,” said the unanimous written judgment.

In addition, the ruling noted that the law forced certain individuals to consume marijuana in a way that was potentially ineffective or dangerous to their health.

The new laws have paved the way for marijuana legalization in the country by providing authorized dispensaries with the ability to sell the drug in any form, including cannabis oils, seeds, dried and fresh versions, health products, or in food.

“By including a greater variety of options for different modes of delivery, Canada has shown itself once again to be a world leader in compassionate and rational medical cannabis policy,” said Neil Belot, executive director of the Canadian Medical Cannabis Industry Association.

In the past, the government was the sole producer of medical marijuana. Two years ago, they bowed out and began licensing distribution to various dispensaries throughout the country.

The privatization of medical marijuana is a crucial step that will ease the process of marijuana legalization through the country. Medical marijuana legalization is an unofficial test program that will make or break the eventual legalization of recreational marijuana. As time passes, the government will be forced to acknowledge the safe nature of marijuana, and with the distribution channels already being privatized, they will have no choice but to push forward with an agenda that supports recreational marijuana legalization.

The Supreme Court of Canada legalized medical marijuana on June 11. This was a major victory for the community rallying for the legalization of medical marijuana and it was a notable turning point in a modern social issue, one that affects many Canadians from all walks of life. Cannabis.ca supports the advancement of medical marijuana and works hard to highlight the struggles felt by everyday Canadians who require access to the drug in order to help them function in their daily lives.

Statistically, the number of users of medical marijuana has continued to grow in the past few years. In January 2013, 28,970 Canadians had permission to possess dried marijuana. By December 2013, the number had increased by nearly 10,000 to a total of 37,884. An additional 24,990 Canadians had a personal-use production license, 3,896 held a designated-person production license, and 8,165 had indicated that they would access dried marijuana and seeds from Health Canada for medical purposes.

The average Canadian has been exposed to marijuana and is aware of the existence of medical marijuana. Yet, many Canadians face strong opposition from government bodies and conservative forces in the country.

Despite the recent Supreme Court ruling, several medical marijuana dispensaries still face opposition from local governments. Glenn Price, the owner of Winnipeg’s only medical marijuana dispensary has been threatened with legal action by local police.

Glenn Price

“I told them that I would stop helping people … I’ll close my dispensary. I give them my word — nothing came out of my building after they were here yesterday. But today’s a new day,” he told CBC News on Wednesday.

Glenn Price currently offers medical marijuana to over 225 customers. His customers rely on him to provide them with access to the drug to improve their quality of life. Even though he may be arrested, he refuses to give in and plans to keep selling marijuana to those who legally are entitled to use it.

“If they do, well, I’ll be a martyr for this — to bring education and awareness that there should be alternative medicine,” he said.

One of Price’s customers, Shaun Rempel, described how medical marijuana helped him live a functional life.

“My migraines get to the point where I can’t get out of bed,” he said. “If I use marijuana I can get out of bed, I can function, I can work, I can be with my family and do stuff. It’s huge quality of life and pain relief for me.”

Mia Wilkinson

Mia Wilkinson suffers from debilitating seizures. In the past, she suffered up to 100 seizures a day and took nearly 40 pills to help her cope with them. One day a doctor from Alberta Children’s Hospital prescribed her medical marijuana and the results were immediately noticeable.

Sarah Wilkinson, Mia’s mother was originally skeptical of the prescription, but she quickly began to believe in the drug.

“I myself was uncomfortable giving my daughter THC, until it started working,” Wilkinson told CTV Calgary.

Now, Sarah finds herself in a difficult situation. The doctor is not allowed to renew the prescription due to hospital policy and Mia may lose her access to medical marijuana, a costly decision that could see her seizures return in full force.

“It’s completely devastating. If she doesn’t get this, I’ll lose her, and I can’t have that happen,” Wilkinson said.

Alberta Health Services continues to employ a conservative outlook on medical marijuana for pediatric patients.

“Alberta Health Services does not support the prescription of medical marijuana for pediatric patients with epilepsy at this time,” the statement said. “Physicians provide prescriptions on a case by case basis using their professional judgment.

“Health Canada has not approved medical marijuana for the treatment of seizures in Canada, and AHS is unaware of any studies, data or recognized epilepsy organizations that recommend or endorse the use of medical marijuana in pediatric patients with epilepsy.”

As Canadians continue to struggle to obtain the right to use medical marijuana, Cannabis.ca works hard to spread awareness about this increasingly important topic. If you have any questions or are interested in visiting us in-store, please feel free to contact us. We ship our accessories to customers in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, and all of Canada.

When it was released, Atmos touted their new Atmos Boss Vaporizer as a true vaporizer experience. Many were skeptical, and rightfully so. The company had a jaded past riddled with false advertising about a true vaporizer experience. However, the company delivered with the Atmos Boss Vaporizer in a big way.

When you take a hit from the Atmos Boss Vaporizer, you are getting a pure, 100 percent vapor. There is no combustion in this device. While the vapor may be heavier than some of the other pen vaporizers out there, it is efficient and well designed.

The Good

The Atmos Boss Vaporizer is extremely light. It weights a measly 76 grams.

The device is shaped like an E-cig, making it discreet.

Easy to turn on, the user simply presses the power button down and waits for it to heat up.

Blazing fast 30 second heat up time that is much faster than the average pen vaporizer on the market.

The device is easily loaded and cleaned. Simply remove the mesh, wash it, and place it back in the device.

Replaceable battery.

The Bad

The Atmos Boss Vaporizer doesn’t have a temperature control system. The device heats up to 400 degrees. If you like to control your temperature, this is not the device for you.

The lack of a temperature control creates a similar vapor that some users may grow tired of over time.

Battery life isn’t as long as other pen vaporizers on the market.

Vaporizer lounges are growing in popularity throughout Canada. Toronto has embraced the vaporizer culture in an effort to promote freedom of expression and choice. Cananbis.ca sells high quality portable vaporizers, pen vaporizers, table top vaporizers and various vape accessories.

If you’re in Toronto, you have probably seen a vape lounge. They are legal establishments that advertise themselves as a recreational facility to consume herb, purchase marijuana related paraphernalia and eat baked goods and other food. They do not sell marijuana and they allow individuals with a medical marijuana license to consume the substance in a legal setting. Guests over the age of 18 are allowed to consume herb using the establishments various portable vaporizers, pen vaporizers, table top vaporizers and other vape accessories.

Camille Salter, 32, runs the Vapor Social, an establishment dedicated to providing a fun and relaxing place for people to enjoy herb. She described the type of people who frequent her vaporizer lounge.

“The clientele a bar sees, and who we see, is completely different,” said Salter who co-owns The Vapor Social with her boyfriend Ben Reaburn. “(My customers) are not getting rambunctious, not getting into fights. My clients are relaxed and generally very well behaved.”

Salter supports the legalization of marijuana and feels that it is time for the law to catch up.

“I do this because the laws have to change. Public opinion has already caught up with us. We’re just waiting for the law.”

She wanted to demonstrate that marijuana use can be social and safe when compared to other substances. Through the use of vaporizers and other methods of consumption, her guests are friendly and always pleasant.

“If you’re using it, ultimately it’s therapeutic, whether it be to relax, socialize, or make yourself feel better,” said Salter, who uses marijuana for medical reasons. “Maybe you’re in pain, having trouble sleeping or eating — it helps so many different parts of our lives.”

“We’re providing an alternative to alcohol, and smoking in the street, alleyway or park,” she added. “We’re harm-reducing, rather than causing.”

Cannabis.ca sells high quality portable vaporizers, pen vaporizers, table top vaporizers, and vape accessories.

Clayton Goodwin is a former soldier who is dedicated to cannabis legalization, especially medical cannabis. He actively pushes for marijuana rights and is a vocal activist. Cannabis.ca recognizes the efforts of Goodwin and believes that his story deserves to be told.

Goodwin was originally a reservist who was injured in the far north in 2004. He decided it was time to spread awareness to the medical cannabis cause. He recognized the shaky medical marijuana laws in Canada and he saw the need for veterans to be properly cared for. Most veterans don’t want to take heavy prescription pills. Instead, they would prefer to consume medical cannabis. Putting the two together, Goodwin decided to champion cannabis legalization.

Goodwin began representing a group known as the Veterans for the Use of Medical Marijuana. He works hard to end the stigma attached to individuals who use medical cannabis.

“Right now, normal Canadians, never mind veterans, do not have enough access from the licensed producers from the program that’s been put in place to supply us our medication because (the government) hasn’t licensed enough of them and they are taking on too many consumers,” he said in March.

Currently, he is working hard to convince Veteran Affairs to show more support towards medical cannabis and cannabis legalization for veterans who are suffering.

“It’s more that we need to work towards ending stigma and shame and get more voices in a room because I’m not aware if we’re ever brought up in there,” he said.

While Goodwin has faced strong opposition from Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative government, he continues to fight for cannabis legalization. Cannabis.ca believes in Goodwin’s cause and are proud to nominate him as one of the famous five. If you are interested in learning more about our company, please feel free to visit our website. We offer shipping of vaporizers, grinders and accessories to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver and all of Canada.

Marijuana legalization is an issue that affects all Canadians, whether they partake in the use of marijuana or not. Every day, people suffer from debilitating illnesses that can easily be pacified through the use of medical marijuana. Cannabis.ca supports marijuana legalization and we are committed to spreading awareness about this important topic.

1. Marijuana Prohibition Has Failed

Marijuana legalization is a hot topic, but prohibition has failed. When the authorities outlawed alcohol in the 1920s, brewers and smugglers found ways to manufacture and sell it. Demand was at an all-time high and the fact that alcohol was illegal didn’t have any effect on its consumption, if anything, it increased the desirability of the substance. Marijuana has the same effect. It is frequently used in our society, most people have tried it or come into contact with it, and it is completely harmless. Prohibiting it is unnecessary and it is time to regulate it like any other recreational substance.

2. A New Source of Revenue

There are two things that are true, death and taxes. Marijuana legalization would create a new revenue stream through relatable taxes. It would also keep money out of the hands of criminal organizations, as the majority of revenue related to it would be generated through legal merchants. This would directly benefit the population as the majority of revenue raised through marijuana sales could be put back into drug-related social programs, schools, and more.

3. Medical Benefits

Marijuana is a useful substance that has immense medical benefits. It may have suffered from Hollywood stereotypes, but the active chemicals in marijuana have been linked to a reduction in pain, seizures, and other serious illnesses. The plant is affordable and readily available in many forms. Naturally, marijuana legalization would benefit many people who suffer from specific types of severe pain.

4. Marijuana Is Safer Than Alcohol

Many critics argue that marijuana is a dangerous drug that will lead to the destruction of our society. There is absolutely no evidence or research to substantiate this. There has never been a death related to overconsumption of marijuana. While smoking marijuana may have negative effects on an individual’s health, alcohol consumption is far worse for an individual’s body, mind and personality.

5. Legalization Will End Petty Sentences for Non-Violent Marijuana Crimes

Every year people are convicted for petty marijuana crimes. Generally, these crimes are related to sale and possession. Most of the individual’s convicted are non-violent and are forced to carry a criminal record for the rest of their lives. Marijuana legalization would end this and it would save taxpayers a lot of money in administrative fees, incarceration costs and other burdens on the justice system.

Cannabis.ca believes in marijuana legalization. We support the cause through our online store that offers shipping of vaporizers and other related products to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, and all of Canada. Contact us through our website if you have any questions.

A landmark decision was reached in the Supreme Court of Canada on June 11. They ruled in favor of medical marijuana, deeming that all forms of medical marijuana were legal to those who had the right to use it.

Previously, the law dictated that medical marijuana users could only use dried marijuana. However, the Supreme Court struck down this law, citing that it violated an individual’s right to liberty and security “in a manner that is arbitrary and hence is not in accord with the principles of fundamental justice.”

Sections 4 and 5 of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, which previously prohibited possession and trafficking of non-dried forms of medical marijuana has been declared “null and void.”

Owen Smith, the main respondent in this case was ecstatic with the result. He called it “a very emotional day,” adding, “I’m proud and really happy today for all those people who are going to benefit from this ruling.”

Medical marijuana patients preferred consuming marijuana in healthier ways, such as vaporizing, through solid food, in tea, and in oils. Yet, the law prohibited these methods as illegal acts.

“It’s a positive — it’s a great thing for patients … and people who need extracts who can’t smoke their cannabis or don’t even want to in the first place,” said David-George Oldham, founder of The ARC, a consortium of cannabis patients, doctors, activists and chemists. “Imagine smoking seven grams of cannabis when you’re having a migraine so bad that just moving your fingers is excruciating pain.”

“Taking a [cannabis] pill is a lot more sensible and having pills stocked in my cupboard makes a lot more sense than having just raw cannabis out and about in my house,” he added.

The federal government is less than happy with the decision.

“Frankly, I’m outraged by the Supreme Court,” said Health Minister Rona Ambrose in a press conference.

“Let’s remember, there’s only one authority in Canada that has the authority and the expertise to make a drug into a medicine and that’s Health Canada,” she added. “Marijuana has never gone through the regulatory approval process at Health Canada, which of course, requires a rigorous safety review and clinical trials with scientific evidence.”

Ambrose reassured supporters that she will continue to battle legalization on all fronts.

“We will continue to combat it. We will continue our anti-drug strategy, we will target youth with the message that marijuana pot is bad for them,” the minister said. “We’ll continue to work with medical authorities across the country to make sure they’re involved in the message.”
