<p>Moving can be stressful enough for us humans, but our furry family members can be especially prone to stress during a move. Pets get used to routines just like their human relatives do.</p>
<p>But, unlike us, they are not independent. They look to us to provide them with their most basic needs. <li>Plan ahead!  If possible, arrange for a “sitter”. Besides the stress of the unusual chaos in their home, moving day can present other safety issues for your pets. With open doors, more traffic, and the overall commotion of moving day, it is much easier for Fido to make a getaway. If a sitter is not possible, try finding an area where they will feel comfortable being contained for several hours.</li>
<li>Try your hardest to keep routines consistent.</li>
<li>Stock up on your pet’s medication.  While you are at the vet’s, consider getting your pet microchipped in case he or she wanders away from the new home.</li>
<li>Stop for walks and potty breaks at least every three hours.</li>
</ol>
<h3>The New Digs</h3>
<p>Once you arrive at your new home together, set up your pet’s area first. It might be a good idea to isolate pets in a bedroom or bathroom where they will be contained while you unload and unpack. Set up water, food, a bed, and a litter box if needed. Spend a few moments with them to reassure them everything is okay and check on them often.</p>

<h2>Canton, Michigan Properties</h2>
<p>Here’s a look at recent market activity in Canton, based on information obtained from Trulia:</p>
<ul>
<li>Currently there are 429 resale and new homes on the market, including 317 distressed properties.</li>
<li>The average price per square foot for a Canton home is $84 right now.</li>
<li>When compared to last year, that price has decreased by 3.4 percent.</li>
<li>Between August and October, the median sales price for a Canton home was $203,151, which represents a 27.2 percent increase when compared to the previous quarter.</li>
<li>When compared to the year before, the median sales price has increased by 17.7 percent, from  $172,570 to $203,151.</li>
<li>Meanwhile, the number of home sales dropped by 30.9 percent.</li>
<li>During the week ending on Nov. 23, the average listing price for Canton homes was $198,018, down about 0.2 percent when compared to the week before.</li>
<li>During that same week, the median sales price for a 2-bedroom home was $76,986.</li>
<li>And the median sales price for a 3-bedroom Canton home was $130,000.</li>
</ul>

<li>Last year, the median sales price was $188,050.</li>
<li>For the week ending on Oct. 26, the average listing price for a Canton home was $196,476, which is a 0.3 percent decrease when compared to the week before.</li>
<li>During that same week, the median sales price for a two-bedroom home was $45,000</li>
<li>The median sales price for a three-bedroom Canton property was $130,000.</li>
<li>And the median sales price for a four-bedroom home was $195,000.</li>

<li>Between June and August, the median sales price for a Canton home for sale was $156,354.</li>
<li>Compared with the same period in 2010, the median sales price for a Canton home for sale decreased by $21,324, or about 12 percent.</li>
<li>During the week ending on Sept. 28, the average listing price for a Canton home for sale was $190,752, which is about a 0.4 percent increase when compared to the week before.</li>
<li>The median sales price for a three-bedroom Canton home for sale was $132,000.</li>
