Some goodies I ordered at the last trade fair are arriving next week. I have been particularly looking forward to this one above. I ordered it for a client and decided my big son needed one whilst studying towards entry into Medicine. It couldn't be coming at a better time as just last weekend son was discussing how 'beautiful' the table's 'groups' and 'periods' were. Warmed my heart to hear him talking with such passion about science and life. I will never regret my science education and knowledge base.... despite not using one molecule of it in my current profession! Once a nerd, always a nerd.

Anyway, cutting through the waffle, I will have a few of these beauties spare when they arrive. Great 'industrial' piece.... perfect for a study or a student's room.

They are framed rustic prints, 80 x 106 x 4.5cm. $599 each plus shipping.

They are beautiful in real life. Heart stopping. Sigh.

Black Beauty

This beauty arrived in stock this week.

These are my 'oh my goodness, it's beautiful, just unpacked photos'.

It's big! A beautiful statement piece.

40cm wide, 44 cm high, on a long 1.2m chain, with a cup shaped ceiling rose.

$399 each.

It's black ...but has very, very subtle tinges of bronze through it, if you look closely in various lighting arrangements.

I can picture 3 of them suspended over a black island bench with white-ish benchtops, ... in a white 'rest of kitchen', with kitchen stools that have black accents of some sort.

A beautiful black and white contrast scenario.

I think these are the ones I am going to use in the next 'House'!

The bracket takes 2 x 60W bayonet bulbs.

You can just see the light bulb positioning in the above photo.

So 6 bulbs, in total, lined up in a row. I think it will look spectacular. There, I have decided I am having them as I have been typing out this post! Who says blogging isn't good therapy?!

Mel, one of my readers, sent me these photos of her beautiful new kitchen.

I love the cabinetry, hardware and the range. I am going to build in my range next time.

There's something about that 'shaker' cabinetry profile that is so timeless and versatile. No matter what the home design aesthetic, 'shaker' fits right in. Change the hardware and accessories and the 'shaker' profile looks fabulous in modern homes too. The same could also be said about my lights. They fit right in to any style kitchen... Industrial, Colonial, Hampton's, Modern. Gush, gush. I think that's why they have been (and are) my biggest seller.

It's looks like a beautiful heritage home. Look at the lovely entrance and the gorgeous arches....

I have received quite a few enquiries about the gorgeous Villa Maison chairs seen in the February issue of Australian Home Beautiful. They arrive in Australia in May, so I should have them in stock, mid May.

They are vintage rattan with a beautiful grey hue. Cushion is included.

Measure 99cm in height, from top of chair; 73cm in height from the arms to the floor; 68cm in width, including arms and 53cm in depth.

$429 each, including GST.

Oh, and the rattan table, pictured with the chairs in the magazine, is an old model, not available any more.

Now this is what I call a 'bunk room'! I would have hyperventilated over this as a child. Each little nook is such a cozy cubbie. Look at the darling little reading lights over each bed....

.... and the little reading nook over by the window. It really works well with all the natural light. Great idea to feature windows in each bed nook.
