It appears that his plans have done nothing but put us deeper in the hole and drove the lower class down below the poverty line.
I know that I and my wife both work and we can hardly pay the bills and buy groceries, all the time watching as we slide deeper into debt and closer to bankruptcy.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don't blame Obama for all our troubles. It seems to have started with Daddy Bush when he decided to start the war on terrorism and pushed us into wars and conflicts in other countries, then along came baby Bush who decided that since daddy Bush couldn't catch the terrorists he would.

So here we are in Iraq and Afghanistan wasting billions of dollars that we don't have, fighting in places that we don't need to be, but more about this in another blog. For now what I say is that Obama's plans aren't working and it's time to try something different like maybe pulling our troops back home and using that billions of dollars to develop something that will stabilize and strengthen our economy.

Sexting or texting. What's the difference?

Appearently quite a bit. So it appears that our lawmakers can take the time to pass laws preventing horney teens from sending each other some dirty texts but they can't take the time to do anything about adults texting and driving.

So what's the difference between text driving and drunk driving? Well, let's see.

Drunk driving:
1. Can be pulled by police if suspected.
2. Jail time.
3. Fines.
4. Loss of insurance or increased rates.

Text driving:
1. Can't be pulled by police if suspected.
2. No jail time unless results in accident.
3. No fines unless results in accident.
4. Insurance changes: only if there is an accident. Ah, who am i trying to kid. Insurance rates goes up for any or no reason.

Today I was on the highway following a BMW that was weaving back and forth. I decided that it would be safer if I was in front of her. I looked in the car when i went around and to my surprise it was a 40 to 50 some years old lady texting.
I thought about telling my wife to call the staties and report her but I knew that it wouldn't do any good since there currently any laws or regulations against it.

I see that the states are being left to handle this problem themselves, appearently the government has other things to deal with, like passing laws against sexting.

<link href="http://capndoda.blogspot.com/2010/02/sexting-or-texting-whats-difference.html" rel="alternate" title="Sexting or texting. I mean think about it for a minute. Let's say you get a $500 check from the government, sounds good doesn't? But what exactly will that check do for you? Probably not much, especially if you're like most of the american public being more than $50,000 dollars in debt and sinking fast.

What caused the problems with the ecomomy? Well I don't think that anyone can say for sure since the economy has be sliding for many years but it appears that the sudden drop was when the oil companies attempted to drive the cost of gas to over five dollars a gallon just to increase their profit margins. Look, i'm not against someone making money, that's the american way, but at what point does it become excessive?

From what I hear about the the steps the government is taking to fix things it's just like the title of this post, they are trying to patch a flat tire with a bandaid. The only thing that I can see that would help some is to bring consumer pricing back down. I know that when I have to pay $2 for something that I bought last year for $1, that puts a big dent in my household budget. When me and my wife both work two and three jobs to to keep the bills paid and the kids fed we could use that extra $1 for something else, like buying a pack of chewing gum.
