Time to Say Goodbye

It’s time to say goodbye. The first Captain Ahab show happened in August of 2001, over 11 years ago. The band has come along way, but it’s time to pursue other interests, musical and otherwise. Thanks for all the support over the years. It’s been amazing, but it’s time for it to end. The final Captain Ahab show will happen on November 2, 2012 at The Smell in Los Angeles, CA.

PATTY is a PoP! Musical EVENT! A Religious Revival!! An E! True Hollywood Fashion Tragedy.
Featuring a 13-track pop score by Jonathan Snipes (of Captain Ahab and clipping.) with Kristin “Kevin Blechdom” Erickson and Daveed Diggs, PATTY has been created and is produced and directed by award winning multi-media artist Patrick Kennelly.

PATTY is a one-of-a-kind 360 experience that encompasses a live, Outer-disciplinary performance (equal parts dance pop concert, fashion show and new media installation), an original album, an online interface, and clothing line.

PATTY – Icon. Diva. Saint – she is all of these things, some say she is Everything. But who is the Real PATTY? Is she a “Liar,” “Fraud,” “Puppet,”
and “Cult Leader” as the certain blogs have recently attested?

All will be revealed in her final Live performance!

Join her congregation as they fight once and for all to Destroy the System
and FREE themselves from the “ideals” which work to enslave them!

In the process of building the cult of PATTY, the project simultaneously critiques the nature of commodification. As it charts a modern woman’s bifurcated journey through a labyrinth of social, political and cultural bondage, PATTY explores how America’s male-centric media culture dominates and confuses almost all female/feminine identities by generating and distributing representations depicting women as perpetually replaceable.
