Continuous bad weather !

Well, as you can see from the title, the weather is still bad for flying, I was going to fly a friend today but the problem wasn't only the weather. The differential brakes of the aircraft were not equal, which would make a bit dangerous after landing, so i aborted the flight and came back.

Tomorrow, I have a flight as well, hopefully the weather will be better. Its forecasted to be a little bit better; but hey this is the commercial standards. I have to experience bad weather to expect the unexpected later on !

B747-400 Engine Blew after 48 hours of A380 incident !

SINGAPORE/SYDNEY (Reuters) - A Qantas Airways Ltd jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Singapore on Friday, less than 48 hours after another of the Australian carrier's planes had to land prematurely due to engine failure.

The Sydney-bound Boeing 747-400 aircraft, with 412 people on board, returned to the airport 20 minutes after takeoff in a move that an unidentified official from Qantas told Channel NewsAsia was "a precautionary matter."

That came a day after a Qantas Airbus A380 jet was forced to make an emergency landing after one of its four Rolls-Royce Plc engines appeared to break apart in flight, scattering debris over an Indonesian island.

"It was a very big shock to us, especially after what happened yesterday." Ranjan Sivagnanasundaram, an Australian citizen in his early 50s who was on Friday's flight, told Reuters.

The Boeing aircraft also had been equipped with Rolls-Royce engines, according to a spokesman for Rolls' rival General Electric Co

Officials at British engine-maker Rolls-Royce did not return calls seeking comment.

The earlier incident saw Qantas ground its fleet of six A380s pending safety checks which will take 24 to 48 hours, and led other airlines to check their own A380s.

"We believe this is probably, most likely, a material failure or some sort of design issue," Qantas Chief Executive Alan Joyce told a news conference in Sydney. "If we don't find any adverse findings in those checks, the aircraft will resume operations."

Separately, a European Union air safety body confirmed it told airlines in August to make checks after finding "wear, beyond engine manual limits," on the type of Rolls-Royce engines fitted to the Qantas jet and some other A380s.

THE explosion that has grounded Qantas and Singapore Airlines A380s was the third emergency linked to the Rolls-Royce engine that drives the world's biggest and heaviest passenger aircraft.

Two months ago, a Lufthansa A380 had to shut down one of its four Trent 900 engines shortly before landing at Frankfurt due to concerns about a change in oil pressure.

Another Rolls-Royce powered A380, this time operated by Singapore Airlines, was forced to turn back after leaving Paris in September last year because of an engine malfunction.

Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa are the only operators of A380s powered by the Trent 900 engine, the biggest and newest aviation engine built by the renowed British firm at its factory in Derby.

Some of the passengers stranded in Singapore after an engine on a Qantas airbus exploded will arrive back in Sydney at midday today.

More than 400 from the grounded plane will this morning board two separate flights at Changi Airport having spent the night in Singapore, after the mid-air drama which happened soon after the plane took off late yesterday bound for Sydney.

A Qantas spokesman said all passengers had been provided overnight accommodation in Singapore, ahead of the rescheduled flight today.

The seatbelt sign on flight QF32 was still lit when passengers heard what every air traveller dreads - an explosion.

The Airbus A380 was just six minutes from Singapore's Changi Airport and still climbing when the first of two loud bangs shook the cabin.

"There was an explosion, there was a loud bang followed by another one, and then a rattling of the cabin," passenger Christopher Lee said.

"At that [point] we were still on take-off, the seatbelt signs were still on, the cabin staff came to inspect very quickly and then alerted the captain."

The double-decker Airbus A380 carrying 440 passengers and 26 crew had taken off from Changi Airport at 9.56am local time (12.56pm AEDT) bound for Sydney.

Still Bad Weather

As you can see from the picture the bad weather; I want my flying to get going but summer season comming in is making some obstacles ! Clouds are at 2500 feet and showers forecasted to come in.

I am in the college right now, waiting for nothing so I think I am going to head back home, for all of you aviation lovers check the google ads for intersting stuff !!

Rainy Day

Perfecto !

Today I woke up at 7 am, went to the college and was about to fly to find out that the weather was bad for visual flying (Low Clouds, Rain, High wind speed). I said I would give it a shot and check out how the weather looks from above, then I went to the plane(VH-PTC , PAPA TANGO CHARLIE), pre-flighted, refueled up to 140 Liters, and was ready to go. I took off and then i was looking north where i was planning to go and I decided to come back to bankstown because of how the weather looks in the north. I came back, and my friend picked me up from the airport, we went to eat from the bakery (mne2eesh ;) ) but back then i started to have a severe headache, oh and i bought barbican which is from dubai !!.. I came back home and slept about 8 hours more ! and still i have some headache... Tommorow I have a flight, the weather is said to be worse than today, but its all a forecast in the end ... SEE YOU !

Today I woke up at 8 am and I didnt go to College because i didn't have anything to do.

So my plans right now is to go eat something, then continue my KDRs (knowledge deficiency report) which I have to cover about my mistakes that I did in my CPL exams. Then maybe go bowling or play basketball :D

All About whats happening

Well, I am doing my Pilot training in Sydney(Australia). A student at Basair Aviation College. Aviation is about stages getting one after another.

First You start with something called GFPT (General Flying Progress Test) Until you finish it, that means you have covered that you can fly an airplane with a passenger and there is no fear about taking them, the Flight Test is done with an ATO (Approved Testing Officer) which tests your flying skills and knowledge skills to make sure you are at standards.

Second of All, After GFPT you start flying towards Places (navigating) and upon completion of this stage you will make a flight Test Called PPL Flight test (Private Pilot Licence) which I did back in May 2010. A PPL enables you to take passengers anywhere but you cannot make profit from the flight.

What Enables you to make Profit from flying Is the CPL(Commercial Pilot Licence) which is intense in navigation, and being perfect in flying. You have to Pass 7 ground subjects in Australia which are ( Meteorology, Navigation, Aircraft General Knowledge, Aircrafts Performance, Human Performance and Limitations, Air Law, Aerodynamics).

Now this is the stage where I am in at the moment. I have my PPL and completed all 7 subjects of CPL, i have about 15 hours of Command flying left for my pre-licence check and then the flight test to be a Commercial Pilot !

After being done with the CPL I am going to do the Multi Engine - Instrument Rating Which is Flying on instruments and no use of visual information. This is what keeps a plane flying in CLOUD! or in fog :P ... and the multi engine endorsment is to be able to fly more than One engine in an aeroplane. Right now until CPL I fly a single engine airplane, and visual flying.

After doing my ME-IR I will do my ATPLs (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) This will let me take command of a big airplane in airlines.

OK thats About it !! My fingers are tired, and iam going to Eat something :D, Wait and see uploaded Pictures and Videos of me flying a bird in the skies !
