Molded plywood never stops to amaze us, and these expressive sculptural forms of the molded plywood chairs and nesting tables from GJ Collection by Lange Production is another great example. Hard to be believe they were originally designed in 1963, by the renown Danish furniture designer Grete Jalk. The laminated GJ chair look so trendy and up to date. Being quite different from other previous experiments focused on moulded plywood, the Lange's GJ Collection has impressed us with its sheer technical daring and organic yet elegant effects. The chair is composed of only 2 conjoined pieces and is available in 2 original wood species - Oregon Pine and Teak. Visit Lange Production for details.

The amazing furniture project PlasticNature shows that it's possible to fuse wood and injection-moulded plastic to create beautiful furniture. The craftsmen at Pelidesign believe that the two worlds "belong together - they are both utilitarian". Incredibly, "the wooden legs actually 'flow' into the seat plank" through the plastic connecting parts. These furniture objects only appear solid - they're actually clung together plastic and wooden pieces, by the means of a join similar to dovetail. PlasticNature doesn't just prove the structure is sound, it also shows the aesthetic harmony between the two materials. Awesome furniture!
