A stylistic delicacy this, Yngve! Do you do a simple idea into a clean image with a few well thought-out measures. It takes a bit above average to get into something like this. Photo Tech has also done a very good job here. This can really be happy!

This was my favorite this week! So simple and so effective. Absolutely delicious and satisfied. A picture I could almost "Stealing " and print out for adornment in the bookcase. But do not fear, Yngve, I do not have space in the shelves except books :-)

Ingenious and simple, I go and knock my head that something so obvious have gone unnoticed for so long. A ring, a book, a little tail lights, and there is a heart. The only improvement would probably be to have Victoria by Hamsun that baktekst.

Sometimes my auto translation works wonders. And sometimes it don't. This time it worked excellently, except for "jerk". But then again, I almost suspect you did than on purpose... :)

I sometimes take a walk around my neighbourhood with a black plastic bag for garbage, picking up little bits here and there. I wish I did this more often, but it's better than doing nothing I guess. What I simply don't understand is how anyone can just leave trash out in the nature. Like it belongs there somehow.

You wonder as much as me as to why some things end up where they havnernår they clearly belong elsewhere. Bicycle Wheel and shopping carts. Jackets and panties, and otherwise the most unthinkable appear on the most peculiar places. And one might wonder. Or you can take a picture of it, as you have done. With just the right depth of field and the right angle and great views.

My daughter and son. He had a haircut after this was taken. :)

The secret behind good images? Don't show the bad ones. I have my fair share of those too.

I try to only show the images I'm pleased with. Sometimes, like in our little project <a href="http://www.52uker.org/" rel="nofollow">X/52</a>, I have to lower my own demands and use what I have if I want to show contribute to the theme. And sometimes I'm really happy with the result and want to show it to someone. Most of the time, the time spent preparing and taking images is rewarded by a result I'm happy with. But not always.

Thank you for such kind words, Anne. Not sure about the trash can image, but maybe I should give it a go? :)

The image I commented on in your blog is just one of many, many excellent images you have shown your readers. Some photographers focus on technique and equipment, taking images with the approach of a technician. I know I often do. But I truly believe you have another approach. The approach of a true artist.

I encourage all my readers to take a look at <a href="http://medkamerapatur.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow">Annes photoblog: Med kamera på tur</a>. And of course <a href="http://medkamerapatur.blogspot.com/2011/10/det-var.html" rel="nofollow">this image that I just loved</a>.

That you boasted of my photo so, made me almost to ease the chair here, one tries so good you can, but on the other hand, type "amateur" yes, but because it is fairly considered misleading. Delivers every time you yes, and if you had taken a picture of a garbage can, then I believe by God you have managed to make it special and nice too.

Anyway, thank you, words that warmed you understand.

Beautiful beautiful, Yngve. Beautiful contrast between the sharp, but still gray pier and the soft mist background dressed in autumn plumage. Also love the composition and lines in the image. Good with air around the subject contributes to the richness and depth. A lovely autumn image.

Nydelig vakkert, Yngve.

Thank you, Stine. I had high expectations for myself this week, but (as always?) the week went by without much time to spend any serious photography. My car was parked for less than a minute taking this image, so I'm glad it turned out okay. But I still wish I had more time to explore the location. Or time enough to take the drive to the location I wanted to shoot, about an hour away.

Thank you, Vibeke. My plan was to get some pictures of some open fields about an hour drive away, where I know of a solitary tree that should give some good photo opportunities. But with my son sick in the backseat this was no longer an option.

She is certainly regal! But I think she looks a bit skeptical! I have noticed this in shots of animals, and cats in particular; they look at you as if they question your choice of equipment, camera settings or photography skills. Or they wonder why you are wearing THAT shirt!

Thanks, Frank. I find that getting the colours right is a big hassle. Even if I calibrate my own monitor, it is still guaranteed to look different (and probably wrong) for many with uncalibrated or poor screens. The picture looks way too saturated on my monitor at work, but I don't know which is the most correct. I should have bought a calibrator years ago...

I guess the solution is to just show my images on paper, but I love the ease of sharing on the intertubes! :)

Actually it's puzzle with 1000 pieces featuring a leopard lying in camouflage. Never did get to finish it, as almost every piece is yellow, brown, black or a combination those colours. The colour here is a bit oversaturated. And on my screen at least five times actual size.

Thank you, Simen. At this magnification and distance depth of field is always difficult to get right. According to info on file the distance to the focus point is about 33 cm, with only about 2 mm of depth of field. The fact that the dandelion was slowly but constantly dropping certainly didn't help. To get the lighting right I used an external flash, bouncing it on the ceiling.

You are, as always, too kind. I only got five images of this seed before it fell off, so I was lucky one was usable. The most time consuming part was preparing the dandelion with tweezers. :)

Thanks, Simen. I have included the EXIF data now, and as you can see they are taken with the same focal length on the same lens, the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro. And as you you've already figured out, that lens has eight blades. The difference is in f/2.8 vs f/4 and the distance between the lens and the bunny.

I have the bunny in my camera bag, but haven't used him for any new pictures yet.

These are pictures that I like very much! They say not really that much, but it is a wonder and excitement that makes me curious! The figure you have found suitable to produce multiple images. What about taking it on trips and take pictures of familiar and unfamiliar places ... I do it in relation to tomato. Nice blur on the first picture. It seems as if the figure is a bit out of focus, but I think it has to do with light. The second picture has great contrast between the yellow figure and the blue background. Here is bokeh 'a little less smooth and I guess that the lens has 8 blades in the blender ... (?)

Thank you, Line. My original plan was to include the resulting image of this adventure we was on, but the images from the trip didn't turn out too well. But this short tale of despair, love and hope works well enough. :)
