The test drove the new SLK 200, 250 and 350 and it was overall a better car than the previous SLK. The handling and feeling of solidness with the top down was better in my opinion. I haven't driven the previous SLK55 but currently drive a C63 and comparatively the SLK handles quite well.I preferred the SLK250 the most and found it more fun on twisty roads, as the turbo 4 cylinder brought the torque on early so it was easily accessible from corner to corner. The SLK350 while sounding better appeared more suited for highway, high speed driving.As for looks, i didn't initially like it as much as the previous SLK but after spending more time with it and seeing one with the AMG pack, I believe I will grow to like it more. Interior wise, it is hands down better.

This is exactly what guys in their 40's and up have been looking for.But I think kawasaki has copied my idea, I have a 86 ninja 1000, I loved the handling and power but wanted more practicality, built custom brackets and put in hard bags and custom brackets for top case, high handle bar risers. This turned out to be the perfect bike, all the power and control plus upright position and cruising capabilities with big the nig ninja stickers to tell all that its a rocket.

We want our bikes to be fast and fun for short rides and with a couple of clicks turn it into highway super tourer.So Kawasaki has read our minds and given us what us long time, older riders who dont want to move over to the cruisers want.hank you Kawi for seeing the light and getting this bike just right! You are spot on and in time your sales will reflect you nailing this project. All congrats to all who worked on this project. I could not see a more prefect bike for my wishes and needs. I will be FOR SURE buying it come late spring. I am a 36 year old male and this would only be my second bike. My current ride is a 2000 Aprilia Pegaso 650(assembly line twin of BMW F650). It only has 50hp, only goes up to 100mph, but of course is a dual sport. I tend to never go offroad though, and have wanted a way more powerful semi comfortable sports bike that can do light touring. I am not into crusers or naked bikes or large/bukly/heavy touring bikes, and most upper level big sport touring ones. And yes, race replica's are fun but very unpleasing for light touring. I had decided this next spring I am going to buy a new BMW F800st, or Honda VFR until just now I saw this bike come out. Susuki has a nice little 600cc sports tourer, but it is too cheaply built and underpowered for my needs, same with the above 2 bikes mentioned. Thus I was torn of weather I wanted to buy either of the 2 above(which are a little underpowered for my wishes), or get a Honda CBR1000rr or the uber cool BMW S1000RR and just put risers on and better seat/higher windscreen and suffer a bit trying to ride 2 hour rides. Thus, my dream bike is in-between the middle weight sport touring ones and Race Repli's: ie. this new Kawi Ninja 1000. What took you so long Kawi to build this perfect bike? I am a very odd buyer in that style means very much to me. I will never buy a big/heavy bloated tourer. And kawi's bikes to me the last few years(RR's) looked odd(bug eyes), plus I always hated Kawi green colors. This ninja is just right for all my needs and looks 9 stars out of 10 in my book. Thanks Kawi for allowing yourself to slip away from Kawi green for us non Kawi green fanboys. BTW- Your new ZX10R(in black color) is the coolest looking RR out there- even nicer then the BMW RR which I drool over. At worAnd if the world doesn't end until 2012, we still wont get to see it. Ah well. It is a bit disappointing, but I get the reasoning and think this is a better plan. Although, they should think to release the new XT the year before the redesigned XF comes out, as they shouldnt have them on the same schedule and XF sales should be waining in the final year anyhow.
That is one not so healthy or nice looking model in the Bertone. I don't get putting off the car that can produce so much volume and revitalize a shaky brand for enlarging an "in-betweener". Gasoline is not going to get cheaper and something about the size of the current 3 series is the new 5 series, which once was what the 3 series is now. The last couple of decades of continual up-sizing is just bound to be reversed.

I think all sportbike riders would prefer 150+ hp at the rear wheel. However, not all sportbike riders want to contort themselves onto the modern crop of superbikes. This ride review is somewhat disappointing, the added cc's of the gsx made it most likely of the semi-sports to have that rip-snarl power (even the "trick" vfr can't provide). I guess I'll have to stick with my old hooligan bike, since the cb1000, ninja 1000, z 1000, vfr, and now gsx are all too neuterd to consider a viable replacement. Maybe in a few years I'll pick up a c14, at least it's 135ish hp at the wheel

I trust them to give us a world class sports machine. never seen a car so heavily dented in all my life . these "stealthy" facets might have been purposely applied in order to deflect police radar .redesigned sports car will be a truly global competitor that is "completely different" from the current model. 2011 2012 New Honda CB 1000 R ,The pure streetfigter are suitable to comment for this bike.A bigger low and midrange does make a better street bike I'd say. The Cb1000rr always gets reviews on how much faster off the line it is compared to the other liter sportbikes. This cb1000r has more low and midrange. Steve in the video was wheeling all over the place. Gutless my a@#. I had an '04 Z1000 that had a great hit at 7k plus rpm but riding around town below that was a bit tame. On a naked the point of the wind rush is to give that feeling of speed without going 120+mph. On a sportbike you just get used to the speed because there's no air blast making you hold on. My last bike the m109 had gobs of torque, power to 7.5krpm, great soundtrack and had that wind blast effect. Just a bit heavy and unwieldy on country back roads. Great for my urban commute. If they made a bike with the m109's engine characteristics and but it in a bike the size of the cb1000r that would be wild. My current bike (griso 8v)falls between the m109r and the '04 z1000. Handles better than the m109 and has more midrange than the Z. So far i love it. Maybe include the griso in that naked bike comparo. that would be cool to read.

Close ratio gears work well on engines with narrow torque bands, as the close ratios allow the engine to stay in the meat of the torque curve after every shift (less RPM drop between shifts). This makes more sense on peaky 600 4s than this Triumph triple, but it works here as well. Wide ratio transmissions are suited to engines with very flat torque curves, like many cruisers.Slightly off topic, but could someone enlighten me why is everyone always fawning over close ratio gears? It seems to me the whole purpose of gears is to SPREAD the access to torque over the range of speeds, otherwise we could just have one gear and be done with it... The only explanation I can see is that this is something suitable toracing, because it sure doesn't seem like something I want in the road conditions where I ride.

About time mate! GM has been linking up with Holden through the years anyway, but now it would have to watch out for Crocodile Dundee's motors on home turf! Crikey! Yes I do know about the ownership, but Holdens have their own originality and character which is lacking within the General Madness! etails are limited, but GM Inside News is reporting to have obtained documents which indicate the rear-wheel drive model will return to America in early 2013 as a 2014 model. Furthermore, the website says the car is internally dubbed the "SS Sedan" and would be based on the redesigned 2013 Commodore.
