Driving a personal vehicle is not just about fun. There are a couple of things you should take into account before driving your car to the favorite destination. Mainly, you have to buy a car insurance in order to keep it running legal. You can lose the car license or charges may be put on you if you don’t have a valid car insurance police. These being said, if you own a car, one of your top priorities should be cheap car insurance. Here are some tips for finding the suitable company that will make all the process not so expensive.

Being Acquainted With the Market

A thing of utmost importance when deciding to sign a contract for car insurance is shopping around for getting the cheapest quote that will suit your personal needs. The quotes of the different companies are definitely not equal and it is probable that your existing company to have higher prices than the ones you might get from other companies. Try to find out what the stronghold of each car insurance company is, because some of them offer a quality vs. cost high quality rapport and others provide their customers inexpensive minimum coverage. The diversity of these costs will definitely result in different car insurance quotes.

When shopping for cheap car insurance, you need to remember to look at the local insurance providers. The majority of them do not show up in the online insurance quote compared or even in a web search. This happens because the companies that gather data for those websites tend to take into account only the national insurance companies. But every now and then the local insurance providers have some good plan that you can’t hear about if you don’t check them out previous to making your final decision.

Hunt a Better Quote

Every insurance company works on the same system like a credit card one. All that they want is to expand their database of customers constantly. If this is done on a regular basis, they will offer insurance plans on a definitely better financial ground. The regular expansion is very important for the income sharing business as well as for the credit industry. This is a huge advantage for the buyer, because the companies are more flexible on dealing with the client.

If you ask for a lower price from the beginning, you might get in on the place with your particular agent you are working it. If the insurance agent feels that the offer he has made you might result in a sale, than there are very good chances to speak with his supervisor about it. If his superior agrees, you might get an insurance plan for a lower price than the quoted one. If you feel strange about doing this, remember that asking has no cost. Ask for a lower price and then wait to see what happens.

Some Other Tips

After shopping around and doing research for car insurance plans, you cannot do much more things. The flexibility of the insurance company is one of the few things you can rely on for a cheaper insurance. In addition, you can search for some discounts and promotions that some companies sometimes offer.

There are lots of benefits to choosing to use a golf cart instead of walking between holes on the court. Of course, using one without irritating other golfers can be tricky. Let’s take a look at some of the advantages of choosing to use a cart, and how to do it politely.

The most obvious benefit of using a cart is that you won’t have to walk. Courses are often large, with uneven and hilly terrain. Walkers who carry their own equipment will become fatigued quickly, even if they’re in good physical condition. With a golf cart, you can conserve your energy for your golf swing. Plus, you can carry a greater assortment of equipment on a cart than if you have to carry it by hand.

A cart will also shield you from bad weather. For example, if it’s sweltering hot, you’ll soon become fatigued and overheated if you walk the course. But if you take a cart along with plenty of water to beat the heat, you’ll be able to keep cool in the shade. Driving a golf cart can help protect you from overheating in the summer, and can keep you from getting drenched in spring and fall rains.

It’s important to remember that if you don’t drive a cart very often, you’re likely to have difficulties remembering when to move it, and you may not know how to drive it properly. If you end up running back and forth multiple times, other golfers may be annoyed to have you underfoot. If you don’t know how to use the cart politely, it may be more trouble than it’s worth.

Make sure you’re careful when using a cart on wet grass or when the ground is damp. If the area is muddy, you should avoid it. Many courses will ask you not to drive on the rough to minimize the impact. Remember that if your partner is in the driver’s seat and is old enough to drive the cart, you should assume he or she will be doing the driving.

Talk to your partner about who will move the cart. That keeps you from leaving it behind and having to walk back for it. Remember that you should return to the cart path when approaching the green, and bring all appropriate clubs with you when walking to it. Be willing to bring your partner a club if needed. Remember to ask him or her if a rest stop is needed when facilities are nearby.

Decide ahead of time where you are going to put the cart, and park it where it can provide shade if there is no other source available. If you are driving and your partner’s ball is next up, pull up along the right side of the ball. Make sure the ball is located midway down the length of the cart so that your partner will have less distance to walk.

Never drive your cart while other players are hitting, and make sure not to move in front of them. When parking near the green, park the cart on the side where you’ll walk off the green. When the ball is on the side or top of a hill, park nearby, but don’t drive on the hill, as this can be dangerous.

Know how close you are to the green by reading the distance or paying attention to shrubs and other landmarks, and estimate how far your stroke is likely to send the ball. If you don’t know what club you need, bring whichever ones you think may be necessary. This way you’ll avoid walking back and forth to and from the cart several times.

Vandalism of property is a costly endeavor not only for the recipient in damage repairs but also for the one being so destructive when they land in jail. Throwing eggs at cars may seem like a harmless prank. In fact, though it is not harmless as it leaves stains on some car paint finishes. If there is a great deal of staining it could mean having to the have, the car repainted. Now that harmless prank has turned into hundreds of dollars worth of damage.

There are some individuals that have said that Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion rubbed into the egg stain and left for five minutes then removed works well. I haven?t seen this in action so it?s hard to say how valid it is.

There are two solutions you may want to try before taking it to the auto repair shop.

Method One

Step One Most often what happens is if the egg happens to hit the car the wrong way if will chip the paint. So first, you need to assess the damage very carefully. If the paint is not chipped you can try this method, otherwise you need to go to method 2.

Step Two Purchase some very high grit sandpaper and soak a strip of it in water overnight. The paper must be saturated with water.

Step Three Sand very lightly the stained area with the sandpaper you had soaking in water overnight. Do not apply too much pressure and make sure you keep the sandpaper wet.

Step Four Rinse the area well and dry it. You now need to use a rotary polisher. This should remove any marks that the sanding may have made. The technique you have utilized here is a smooth service that has had a clear coat melted into it.

Step Five Now you are going to want to eliminate the swirl marks and you do this by applying a pure polish and buffing it in.

If the egg stain mark is not gone then you will have to resort to step two.

Method Two Fold an extra strength paper towel into a square and place it over the egg stain. Then spray the paper towel with brake cleaner being sure to keep it confined to the area of the stain. The brake fluid may removed some of the car paint so be absolutely sure not to get it anywhere except on the stain itself.

If the car is badly chipped you will need to sand it down, and then touch it up with some car paint.

Removing permanent stains from cars can be very difficult. In order not to end up having to do a full paint job you would be much further ahead to take it into a paint repair shop and have it professionally done. All too often do it yourselfers have ended up costing themselves a great deal of money thinking they could repair a problem themselves.

Ideally if there is vandalism in your area you would be wise to keep your vehicle in a shelter location if possible.

When you are spray painting, don’t be timid. You can bet you are going to get some runs if you don’t wet the panel adequately. This will result to a dry look with a lot of pitting pattern. If the run happens to be during the clear coat application, you can usually repair that once it cures. You will be able to sand out the run and re-coat the panel. Don’t fall into the trap of cover-up. Cover-up means that you are loading on more material to try to cover up the mistake. Don’t do it. It just does not work.

If you follow the instructions, your application problems won’t be as a result of not enough flash time. As the application is curing the solvents in the material evaporate. If you add another coat before this has fully taken place, the material is going to flow. Do yourself a favor and always add for a little extra curing time. You can save yourself a lot of work and headaches by doing this.

Finally, you get the perfect application and then a fly comes along and lands in your material. Don’t panic. Use a pair of tweezers carefully to remove it. Hopefully there will just be a slight imperfection that you will able to sand then polish. Worst comes to worst you will end up respraying the panel.

Some common questions when it comes to spray painting techniques are as follows.

Is the wide pattern technique the best? If you are using the clear materials, you can use the wide patter, but pay attention to what you are doing. You could end up with some really obvious bad patterns. The perfect spray pattern has to be perfectly even from top to bottom. The other thing you need to consider and will have to contend with is the over spray that occurs when the gun is wide open.

I have a HVLP spray gun Can I use any technique I want? You cannot use a regular technique with this spray gun because its give out 10 psi at the cap as opposed to the 50psi in the conventional guns. This means the distance will not be as great with the HVLP gun that means you must be closer to the paint surface. For the convention guns, the standard distance is 8inches whereas with the HVLP it should be between two to four inches.

Will I be able to get as much speed with the HVLP? Standard guns efficiency for transfer is about 25-30% whereas with the HVLP it’s about 65%. So needless to say, the gun excels in this department. You have to remember though that the closer you are spraying to the target surface the faster your stroke. As you extend your distance, you can reduce your stroke. With the HVLP, your target distance is 2-4 inches.

by Molly Everette

There are several manufacturers of motorcycles around the world. The BMW for one, constructs performance driven motorcycles for some years. Japan-made Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha also have race winning motorcycles. Ducati is another motorcycle brand that is hip around the world. So why a Harley Davidson?

Why is Harley-Davidson so idolised around the world? Why is that when a Harley rolls on the road, everybody will turn their heads for a peek? Why is it that when one talks about motorbike, the first brand name in mind is the Harley-Davidson?

Finding answers to these questions will give us three words : name, quality, and pride.

Name - When you hear the word “Harley-Davidson”, the first matter that will likely jump out from your mind is a “one hell of a machine”. Hearing the name “Harley-Davidson” would also simply gives you the impression of a great bike company that set a great bequest thru history. The make can be linked with ruggedness, quality, fastness, and flexibility. The name itself will set itself on the apex of your mind.

Quality- Whether it is a CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations), Dyna, Sportster, Softail, Touring, or VRSC model, it’s a Harley-Davidson. And when we say Harley-Davidson, we mean quality that is built up over the years. Every Harley-Davidson motorcycle is created in supremacy from the engine parts to the decals and finishing touches. Harley-Davidson motor bikes are created not only to sell but to last for a lifetime as well.

Pride - Harley-Davidson has been manufacturing motor bikes for more than a century|100 years. And with a corporation that |has lasted|existed this long, having one is like owning a chunk of history of the company. Harley-Davidson motorbikes have gained so much respect over time and it has set the trend for the motor bike industry in the US. Any Harley-Davidson motorbike owner would say that they are content to possess at least one exceptional motorcycle in their possession.

What would you are feeling if you are riding a bike with the name “Harley-Davidson”? Surely, you feel honoured. Proud as if you have your first baby ; proud as if you have owned a brand-new house; and proud as if you have recognized your dream. Indeed, owning a Harley-Davidson could be a dream for for most. As the cost of a Harley bike does not come cheap, owning one can be hard. But if you do, you feel fulfilled and you somehow feel you about you? Why are you dying to have a Harley-Davidson motorcycle? The answer’s in you…

In the fine art of paintless dent removal, it is much more tricky and complicated that you would think it is. It not only requires good training skills, it also requires the special touch.

The tools used for this procedure are long and delicate, to allow access to difficult to reach places. One wrong move can cause a wrinkle in the surface, making a highpoint that is visible when looking at the smoothness of the surface.

Wrinkled metal is one of the most difficult, if not, almost impossible repairs to do, it all depends on the force of the slip. Most often you get one chance only in paintless dent removal, it is a finesse job that requires great skill, combined with a lot of knowledge and a gentle touch.

Gaining Access When doing paintless dent removal, the first thing that has to be done is to gain access, whether it is the hood, roof, door, trunk, or quarter panel. Once access is gained, you have to select the right tool, not forgetting the length, tip size and diameter when you are selecting that tool.

Starting the Repair Once you have started the repair, delicate, and precise movements are required, many times over, it?s the repetition that works the area. The metal can?t be pushed, it has to be “coaxed” back into its original position, and ?coaxed” is the right word being you can only remove small amounts of metal at a time. There are four major types of damage, and different ways to repair each of them. The standard dent is reversed by a massaging action at the center. For a crease, you use work from left to right, while gently applying. If you start with the smallest dent you can repair double rings can be repaired by starting.

The best way to start with is the smaller area then move to the larger one. Once you have repaired about 90 % of the damage, then you need to work on the distortion evident in the larger dent.

The trick of doing the actual repair is to get the light right on the painted side of the surface. You have already got your tool in place from the other side and now you are ready to get into the finer work.

You need to find the precision point of the tip of the tool. To do this shining the light in the same direction stand perpendicular to the crease. Don’t work at an angle as the surface will look distorted. Looking for the tool tip is like stretching a piece of foil and running your fingernail across it from the other side. When you are repairing the surface, you can see the tool tip you gently move it back and forth, much like the fingernail example. Start at the center, and apply pressure steadily, in finite strokes. The larger the dent, the less pressure you need.

Completing The Job. If you did have to make a hole to gain entry, apply sealant as a paint protector and continue to mend the hole.

One of the nicest features of a luxurious vehicle is its supple leather seats. Keeping up with your car leather protection will not only help keep the value of your vehicle but will give your vehicle’s leather a luster that lasts for many years. The protection process is really very simple and in a minute you have see three main tips that will ensure the beauty of your car’s leather. Preventing the wear and tear of daily use is really as easy as one, two, and three.

Today’s market is flooded with leather protection products. The one that you choose will depend on your own personal preference. What you will need to consider is being sure to choose one that is a non-drying leather cleaner. The purpose of the cleaner is to remove everyday dirt. A rich conditioner for leather needs to be applied after cleaning to seal in the all important moisture which keeps it luxuriously soft.

When you are choosing your products, those containing natural ingredients are always a wise and safer choice. For example, you will want a product that lists UV protectants, lanolin and mink oil as the ingredients. When leather gets dried out and damaged, it takes a lot of time and money to restore it to its original beauty. Cleaning and conditioning your leather on a regular basis does not take much time or money. In fact, you might consider using a combination product so that the cleaning and conditioning become one step.

The skin of your body has pores and will get dried out and damaged so you need to keep it clean and moisturized. The leather of your car seats also has pores and will suffer unless cleaned and moisturized just like your skin. In places where the climate is very hot, the leather will begin to dry out and get cracked and old looking even faster unless properly protected.

Tip No. One is the cleaner that you choose for your leather should be a product that does not contain any solvents, silicone oils or gloss agents. When you apply the cleaner you should use a soft scrub brush but do not scrub the fabric but gently agitate so that the pores of the leather are opened to be cleaned and then be able to absorb the conditioner that replaces oils and moisture. Only use a soft t-shirt or terry cloth towel. Paper towels will scratch the leather.

Tip No. 2 to consider: Many products on the market are designed with a balanced pH factor that will not only protect your luxurious interior from water spills but from stains. If the leather begins to smell it is because the natural oils in the leather have become depleted by evaporation.

Tip No. Three is about the damage that can happen if you do not protect your leather seats from the rays of the sun. When your vehicle is a convertible, this is extremely important. The direct sunlight will dry the leather quickly so use a sun protector on your windshield and do not park your car in the sun if possible. Use your conditioner to keep the leather moisturized and alternate treatments with a 303 sun-block protectant product.

Car leather protection is an easy process and by using these simple tips you will have leather that looks new for a long time. All it takes is a simple cleaning and conditioning for effective protection. Your car will thank you.

When you’ve got an automobile, and you are driving it in public in the UK, it is important to think about the various police traffic fines that you might be subjected to. These are all fines that you’ll need to think about, so that you can know for sure you are operating your vehicle in the right way and you aren’t allowing yourself to break any of the regulations.

There are two main types of police traffic fines that you’ll need to think carefully about, so that you can know for sure you are operating your automobile in the right way. These include parking fines and speeding fine. These are the two main types of police traffic fines that you will find, simply because these are the offences that are broken the most.

The reason for using a car or bike is generally for getting from a to b, and if this is the case what you really need to know are the speed limits and where you can park. Driving safely involves a number of aspects, and driving without breaking law or parking rule is also a major concern for you.

First of all, remember that when it comes to speeding and parking, these are both things that are going to be listed for you to pay attention to. One of the most important things to remember when it comes to both parking your automobile, and to the speed at which you drive your automobile is that the regulations will be posted for you to follow, and all that will be required of you is the ability to follow the posted regulations. Therefore, this is one of the things that you might want to consider. If you are able to followed the posted regulations when it comes to the speed that you are driving and the places you are parking, you’ll be able to get the most out of your driving, and not be subjected to any police traffic fines that might come up.

What most people do not give consideration too is that different fines come from different sources, specifically parking tickets have their own source, and are managed in different ways to other offences and tickets. Although the police can manage both fines, the local council/authorities manage this aspect by parking attendants and traffic wardens. You may find in some areas that the local authorities manage the majority of all police traffic fines.

Although the police have overall authority on most parking and speeding fines, it may be that you end up dealing with a speed trap! If its not a traffic camera, it could be a speed trap or simply traffic cops - the point being that there are numerous ways to be caught. One area that people often forget is after the event, for example in a RTA (road traffic accident). This is when you are caught speeding after you have committed the offence, by careful analysis of your skid marks, which can be used to determine your speed.

When it comes to parking, most of the time the car that you are driving is the evidence of parking regulations that have been broken. Whether you are getting a notification of a ticket from a policeman or from a local authority, it is going to work in the same way. When your car does not follow or meet the regulation for parking, the policeman or the local attendant like parking attendant will put a police traffic fines notification on your vehicle. You’ll then be responsible for it.

Before you believe and take at face glance the charges laid against you, its always worth vetting the details on the ticket. If you are liable, there are numerous ways to pay. Payment for parking tickets can be made online, or payment sent in post.

If you decide that you were not at fault for the police traffic fines and want to argue them, it is important to first make sure that you have proof. Remember that the local authorities are going to have proof of the infraction that they say you did, so you need to have proof that you either did not do what they claim, or that there was some sort of extenuating circumstances. Be sure that you have this proof of your own before you begin the process.

When a professional collision repairer wants to bring a vehicle to its pre loss condition the best takes its cues from the aviation industry because the fasteners are very important to the life and safety of the vehicle they are working on. They have predestinated specifications for airplanes fasteners and many times these are scrutinized to make sure they are tightened correctly and if an accident ever occurs this is one main component that is looked at with great length to find out if it was a bolt or screw that loosened that could be a contributing factor!

With that being said although, vehicles may not go through the rigorous stresses an airplane may suffer it is still essential to make sure the right bolt or screw is fastened correctly. If not you, may experience squeaks, rattles, and it may ultimately impair the safety and resale value of the vehicle and cause premature failure. Many buyers are now informed on what to look for including missing bolts or different sizes not meeting specs.

When automotive engineers choose fasteners they do it for a reason and those who repair vehicles have to follow the specific requirements. This is essential, because of the different torque qualities these fasteners must be installed 100% correct. Not only can the look of your car can be affected, but the performance as well. Reports have been done that show certain fasteners on your bumpers and quarter panels if reinstalled incorrectly can cause certain expansion and allow movement, which can ultimately lead to serious damage to your vehicle after time.

When Clamping Down Fasteners Fasteners all include certain characteristics. They have a grade and tensile strength, which determines how much they can stretch before breakage. The diameter and type of material determine the resistance of this. The English system defines the strength of a bolt by radial lines with property numbers such as 4.6, 4.8, 5.8, 8.8 9.8 and 10.9 and the nuts must be appropriately classed to each fastener to ensure the same grade and work equally to the fastener that is installed. Nuts attached to the fastener have their own grading system with some using dots to determine their tensile strength and some using actual numbers. Always be fastidious to match the correct pair and that will ensure optimal matching connection. If you deviate from this, you can lose the connection state.

Some Important Variables You need to ensure the parts are secured correctly .This just means that enough force is needed to bind the components within the specifications so that parts cannot shift under regular movement.

Many times a factor of a connection can be achieved by using a pitch gauge, which can determine if a bolt or screw is tightened to its specifications. A thread pitch can sometimes be a factor and by reading the manufacturers design codes you can decrease the problems of making a bad connection which can lead to problems down the road.

Each and everyday, millions of people die because of car accidents, either because they did not pay attention or the other driver was not paying attention.

Here are some tips for you when driving and trying to avoid an accident of any kind, so you can stay safe and sound in your vehicle.

Technology is not new to us, and we like being able to use it whenever you want to. If you do a lot of driving and you sit in traffic a lot, avoid a car accident by getting off of that cell phone and concentrating. Those who do concentrate have a lower risk of getting in an accident, and can get home safely.

For all of those parents out there with teenagers that are getting ready to drive, make sure that you take the time to sit down with them and show them the way of the road.

Teens are the demographic that is most likely to get into a car accident, so if you want to keep your teen from being another statistic, show them what they need to do.

Playing around with the radio or reading while you are driving is definitely not a good idea. We always see people on television shaving while driving and this really does happen! Try being a defensive driver and watching what is going on around you.

Driving does not have to be a scary thing for anyone, and car accidents can easily be avoided if these tips are kept in mind. For those teens out there, make sure that you are setting good examples as parents.

Don’t tailgate other drivers. Driving dangerously and recklessly is a sure way to get hurt and could cause you serious problems down the road.

Auto body Repairs Using Sand Blasting Equipment: A restoration requires you to make a choice as to which method you are going to use. In order to do this you really need to categorize the levels of restoration.

Category One - Light to Medium fix ups Mechanical repairs and repainting The basic mechanical work is done first to ensure safety of the vehicle components. This followed by minor body works and refinishing touch ups.

Mechanical repairs with replacements and refinishing Some mechanical parts are replaced as needed. Little more detail is required in the bodywork.

Category Two - In Depth Restoration Similar to the mechanical repairs with replacements with the refinishing more in depth. Some taking apart of the vehicle is required to attend to rust and corrosion of key parts. Items have to cleaned, refurbished or replaced such as drive train parts, suspension and underbody parts. Close color match of body is required and trim may need replacing. Cars restored under this category are often pampered and not used on a daily basis.

Category Three - Just off the Assembly Line Restoration here entails making the car look like it?s just been manufactured. Showroom quality. No body fill can be used in these restorations as well as fiberglass body panels except for some Corvettes.

Category Four - Show Piece This is the museum category and is really not applicable because they are those that are only found in the Museums.

Getting Down to Sandblasting Sandblasters work off of compressed air and are either pressure feed or suction feed which are the cheaper of the two. The only drawback is that part of their energy goes into drawing up the material however; they don?t require an expensive pressure tank. Pressure feeds do require a pressurized tank, but they work extremely well.

Sandblasting is effective cost saving and messy. Should only be done outdoors. With the right grade of sand the results taking it right down to the metal and removing the rust pits. It works effectively on other parts as well. Make sure you apply a flash rust treatment to prevent rust till you get the primer on.

The one thing to remember about sandblasting is do not over do it. As soon as you hit the bare metal stop.

You can use silica sand for various other grades just be sure to be careful with what you use. For light touches, you can use the ground or English walnut shells.

The siphon blasters are a lot less expensive than the pressure blasters. Remember to remove the hardware and trim before blasting and make sure you wear the proper body protection as well ensuring you have a proper hood and gloves. Preferably, a supplied air hood would be ideal.

Sandblasting can be extremely effective provided the right techniques, tools and materials are used in a safe environment. Many individuals are against sand blasting because of the damage it can cause. They are right it can work against you but only if you go beyond what is required. The whole key to success is stopping when you hit the bare metal.

In the fine art of paintless dent removal, there is more of a fine art involved than you might think. Not only does it require good training skills, it also requires the touch.

To do this shining the light in the same direction stand perpendicular to the crease. . Don?t work at an angle as the surface will look distortedLooking for the tool tip is like stretching a piece of foil and running your fingernail across it from the other side.

It isn’t the tools that are used in a job that make it good or bad, it’s the person using those tools that makes the difference. In car polishing a good technician can make that finish look better than when you bought the car, and you wouldn’t think twice about how they could do that. In this short article, I will go over some points that technicians know, or should know.

The main problems when it comes to auto finishing are things like paint runs, sags, dirt nibs and just plain old polishing in general. To start with, make sure that the finish is dry in accordance with the information from the product sheet as failure to do this could damage the finish, making the whole job very costly.

The proper way to polish when using a polish, make sure it is specifically or can be used for urethane finishes and not lacquer finishes. When sanding, make sure that you use the finer 1000grit paper, as course grit sandpaper can ruin a finish.

The polisher speed should be set at 1200 ? 1700 rpm?s to ensure the best result. It is also very important to make sure that you are using the right type of pad before you start. To know what the best pad types, always check the product data sheets and they?ll steer you in the right direction, remember, if in doubt, check the sheet.

On the blend edges when you are, polishing be sure to work away from the edge and never directly into it. The most recommended method for a blend edge is to hand glaze rather than machine polish. When you have to hand glaze, always a cloth that is not rough and make sure it is clean forboth the application and when taking the glaze off.

Getting Rid Of Imperfections As with polishing, always check with the right manufacturers product data sheet before sanding, or polishing, this will give you the recommended dry times before polishing. Always make sure that before you begin any work on the surface that you take off debris and material. If this isn?t done, the results will be costly and catastrophic.

It is so important that the proper prep work be done so that the surface is: Free of imperfections like dirt nibs. You can use 1500 or better grit for wet sanding to get rid of these. To make sure there are no more imperfections on the surface, sand the surface with a block sander, not necessarily the entire surface, spot sanding will do.

The Last Step Use the polisher lightly to eliminate sand scratches using the right liquid polish. When using the polisher, set it to 1200 ? 1700 rpm and use a wool pad first. Next, you will need to use a foam pad. Finally, you need a non- abrasive glaze. Always remember that if you are in doubt about what to use or how to do it, consult the manufacturer?s list of instruction and information data sheet .Don?t be in a hurry, if you take your time you won?t make the mistakes that you will only regret.

Many people waste time and money learning nothing at a driving school. They grumble later and forget about a driver’s license altogether! You must have heard from friends starting off with great enthusiasm at a driving school only to give you hopeless reviews a week later. My neighbor quit in only three lessons. She was completely put off by the ramshackle car the driving school sent her out in to practice and could not feel comfortable with her instructor. She said her instructor chatted more on the cell phone than really bother about teaching her. Don’t get tricked at a driving school.

Driving tests are not all that a horror as they are made out to be. For any learner with average intelligence, 30 hours of theory and 12 hours on the road for about $400 should be a good enough beginner’s package. However, natural ability to pick up driving, confidence and free time available varies for every learner. You may like to take an intensive course.

The best way to decide what duration of lessons and course will suit you is to have a detailed discussion with the instructor before you begin. If possible, also discuss with your instructor what each session will focus on and what vehicle the school is going to assign to you for practice.

All driving courses should be divided into two sections-practical and theoretical. A practical test for obtaining a license is taken only after the applicant has first cleared the theory test. Usually, a theory test lasts about an hour and can include 50 questions based on the multiple-choice answer system. Discussing with your instructor the number of specific theory lessons required is very important before you begin.

Going to a driving school does not mean your learning process remains confined there. Additional reading of manuals on road signs, traffic rules, safety measures, highway codes etc must supplement your classroom time. It is always good to prepare brief booklets yourself or, obtain them from your driving school. Keep these in the car for ready reference throughout your driving life.

Supplementing your theoretical knowledge is important because it improves your chances of being safe on the roads. Accidents are as likely to take place because of lack of understanding a road sign as because of practical mishandling of a vehicle. Theoretical lessons begun before you start practical training is always a good idea because they give you confidence and help you train on the road better. Many schools suggest taking theoretical lessons after practical ones which is not very beneficial for learners.

All driving schools offer lessons in the basic and intensive category. Basic is naturally for the absolute beginner and the intensive for those who have some previous knowledge or training. Sometimes, amateurs with a keen mind are able to pull off intensive courses too. Often driving schools also teach groups. Deciding how many hours of practical training will suit you can be calculated according to your age. Add up one hour of driving for every 18 months’ of your age. You can take a fortnight’s course with at least ten hours of practical driving around.

Learning to drive whether for individual or professional needs is always a good idea but landing up with the wrong driving school or getting put off mid-way during a course can be as much your fault as the instructor’s. Many people enjoy driving as a hobby and having learnt it at a good school enhances the experience. Many youngsters even take up driving professionally as an interim earning option before beginning a full-time career. Choose the right school, persevere and no driving school can drive you nuts. What you will finally do obtain is your driver’s license!

Anyone who owns a collision shop can tell you that the most costly item to the shop is the comeback repair. Re-do?s can be the difference between being successful and losing, and they reflect poorly on the quality standards, not to mention the inconvenience to the customer.

All it takes is one dissatisfied customer and that can translate into bad word of mouth, which means bad reputation. Collision shop managers have to be very alert when it comes to quality assurance so that they have happy customers and as few negative comebacks as possible. Negative comebacks happen when there are such things as shoddy repair work, poor paint finish, (dull topcoat), grind marks showing, paint cracks or runs or paint over spray on any part of the car, but the worst problem of all is the mismatching of color.

Technicians and management usually share the responsibility, and, in some shops, the liability, so that it?s a combination of the actual repair work and maintaining proper quality assurance levels. When a mistake happens, it is also a proper analysis of what went wrong, rather than who went wrong, and taking the appropriate steps to keep the problem from re-occurring.

The Characteristics of A Painter Paint technicians can be a tricky type of personality, if they aren?t treated right, the works suffers, and that is why some shops are now making them share the responsibilities for their work.

Technicians, on the other hand, are the wind beneath the wings, so that it?s a partnership between technicians and paint technicians, so that there is no one more important than the other. It is also true that while the painter is worth their weight in gold, they can?t work their magic if there isn?t a good quality of prep work.

Improper paint preparation is a disaster if it isn?t done properly, and if the paint technician isn?t as good as required, they won?t spot the problem until it?s too late. The proper quality standards must be put in place and properly adhered to, or those costly mistakes and comebacks will look like money disappearing out the door.

Anyone who owns a collision shop that has a good reputation knows that while the paint preparation and the topcoat are the end result, it is also the surface preparation that has equal importance. Like when you paint a house, the prep work, sanding, filling, and proper masking all have to be done properly; in fact, many paint companies suggest collision shops must stress proper training with attention to strict guidelines.

The time and attention to quality work that is invested in the beginning will result in less money driving out the door in costly comebacks later. If a shop is to be competitive, it must stress quality. “It is a poor worker who blames his tools”, is the old adage, so if collision shop owners keep hearing those types of excuses, then they should really need to do some proper damage control before it?s too late

If you are planning a trip to Australia, the best way to appreciate the vast and stunning scenery is with a car rental. A car is the most practical way of taking in all that the country has to offer. When renting a car in Australia, you not only have to follow all of the traffic laws, but you must be aware of the road tolls that you will most likely encounter.

There are a number of road tolls in Australia. One is required to pay any where from $1.50 to around $8.00 at a toll. When it comes to renting a car, one is responsible for road toll fees. All rental car companies provide written information to customers explaining toll road procedures and how they make payments. In most cases, car renters who fail to pay at the road tolls will have their credit card debited the amount that they owe. There may also be a fine and other fees such as administration charges.

There are a number of methods one can use to pay at road tolls. The following lists a payment options one can use at a road toll:

E-Tags: These tags are electronic ‘tags’ that record a car travelling through a road toll. The E-Tags are read by sensors at the toll points and the driver’s toll account is debited the toll fee. This payment method permits drivers to pass through the toll without stopping. Electronic tags can be used on all road tolls. When approaching a toll, look for the lanes marked with the red and yellow ‘E’ symbol.

When it comes to rental cars, a company will attach E-Tags to all of their cars. When you return the rental car, you are charged for the tolls that you have used. You can also purchase pre-paid tag accounts. When the pre-paid to balance drops to a specified amount, the toll account is replenished. The tag provider will use your credit card to add funds to the account. If you drive on a road toll without a sensor, a photo is taken of your vehicle’s plate number. You will normally have a day to pay before you are fined.

Cash: You can pay cash at the majority of toll roads. There are a few exceptions so make sure you know where they are before travelling. The rental car agency will give you more information. The exceptions to cash payments use electronic methods of payment. As well, some toll booths only accept the exact amount of the toll. If you have the cash, look for signs stating ‘auto’ or ‘exact toll.’ If you don’t have the exact toll amount, look for the booths marked ‘change.’ There is now a trend of converting toll roads to a fully electronic format so the cash payment tolls will slowly be disappearing.

Pass: A ‘Pass’ is a contractual agreement between a driver and a toll provider to travel on specific toll roads. This method is a good option for the electronic toll roads. Cameras at toll points photograph your licence plate number and your toll account is debited.

Driving in Australia is an experience one will never forget. The vast open spaces, astounding scenery, and charming towns, can only be enjoyed in person. A car is the best way to travel from one tourist attraction to another. Being prepared for Australian road tolls will make your driving experience much more enjoyable. If you rent a car while visiting Australia, make sure that you ask the rental company about securing a payment method for all road tolls.

by Theodore Hoffstrader

One day auto insurance is a type of car insurance that is often used by people who are traveling. It effectively protects them for short periods of time against any loss incurred during the time of the coverage.

Finding the best car insurance has never been considered a fun activity. However, if one wishes to obtain any form of car insurance, including one day auto insurance, it is essential to do the research and find a good policy. This, as always, can be easily done by comparing quotes online.

Why do people obtain one day insurance?

Living in certain big cities, such as New York, often results in people not using their cars frequently. As a result, often it is very tempting to avoid getting insurance - after all, why pay the premium if youre not using your car?

However, it is crucial that a car is covered adequately when it is used, even for short trips both in terms of distance as well as time. Not only because this is the law, but also to avoid facing any unexpected problems such as huge expenses in the unfortunate event of becoming involved in a car accident without possessing any form of insurance. Remember Murphys laws ” the unexpected will happen when you least expect it.

There are two scenarios when one may wish to get one day car insurance.

The first case involves people who do not possess cars and only use one infrequently. This can be when renting a car, or when borrowing a friend’s car. In this case, getting one day auto insurance would be very appropriate.

The second situation deals with people who simply try to save money on car insurance. This is normally the case when they do not use their car often (which can happen if they live in a big city, or have more than one car).

It is important to emphasize that in both cases, whenever the car is in fact used, the driver should be protected by an insurance plan such as one day auto insurance. This would certainly be preferable than paying a yearly premium. However, if the car is utilized quite often, then choosing this type of auto insurance would not make financial sense.

Did you ever consider the peaceful yet adventurous lifestyle you could lead by living in an RV? It is such a tempting thought, yet for some, it may seem daunting. The very idea of having no real roots can be overwhelming - but it does not have to be like that any longer. Look at all of the people leading this lifestyle right now. They are succeeding - and you can too, by following some advice designed to make an RV a home and life on the road a stress free adventure.

First of all, you have to weigh the pros and cons of staying in a home versus living in a recreational vehicle. Naturally you lose some amenities when you leave your house behind. For that matter, some new RV enthusiasts think they need to sell off their homes, but that is not true - you will always have a place to come back to, remember.

You see, there are some definite advantages to living in a camper as well. Mowing a yard is not necessary, unless you spend an extended period at an RV resort. Even then, it is optional rather than necessary. Serious upkeep is a matter of preference, but a lot of the chores associated with a traditional home are not necessary with your RV. You do not even need to deal with troublesome neighbors any longer. Just move on to the next site.

Now, this next piece of advice is more conjecture and opinion, but it still goes a long way. A lot of the people who live full time in the RVs claim that they feel physically and mentally healthier and happier. They do not have any deadlines, they do not really have any stress. You have to remember that recreational vehicles are not like they used to be some years ago. You no longer have to rough it when you live or stay in one of them.

A lot of people are also worried that they will fall out of contact with their family, their friends, and their colleagues. This is no longer true either. It is extremely easy to stay in contact with anyone these days. Remember, you can get the internet practically anywhere, cell phones get service in most places, and you can also make use of those mailboxes on the corner.

Of course, you also have to think about where you will do your banking, how you will pay bills, how you will receive medical care, and things of that nature. Again, however, internet and cell phone technologies make it easy to handle such things nowadays. You are never really as far removed as you may be feeling.

But what about having a job? Few of us are able to manage a long running RV trip without bringing in some kind of income. Fortunately, yet again, just having a computer can help you. There are plenty of telecommunicating, work at home jobs to be found online. As well, you can literally get work on the road. Often, when you are staying at one resort or site for a while, you can get a job there. The hours can be full time or part time, and you may live there rent free.

By living in an RV, you have the opportunity to live a largely easy going and stress free life. Just make sure you consider the pros and cons. Be sure that it is the right choice for you and your family.
