I once started with a Blog here on Design cars before, and I still had on based on WordPress which was in a subdomain on this site, but that one is now moved to Exclusive Supercar design.

The site Design-Cars.com was based on Joomla, but is now converted to WordPress that give me a much easier way to blog and update the site.

For this Blog I am going to use all my knowledge of WordPress, SEO and Blogging to make it a valued resources for people to come andd learn about Car Design and Concept Cars as well as historical cars.

Beacuse I also want to take a view back into the past showing off great designs of vintage cars.

I hope you will like it and if you do, please subcribe to the RSS Feed on the top right side menu.

With the conversion of the site you can now comment on the articles and the homepage design has changed to show intro’s into the articles.

Next change for this website will be a move to a new Website Hosting Company to get a better performance and speed of loading.

Shelby SuperCars (SSC), the American supercar manufacturer and creator of the world record breaking Ultimate Aero, is proud to introduce its latest contribution to automobile enthusiasts worldwide. Following several years of design and development of its revolutionary new supercar, SSC has named its new car TUATARA (pronounced twu-tar-ah).

“The design specifications for the Next Generation SSC were so extreme; we knew early on that a proper name would be a key piece of the puzzle for this project,” says Jerod Shelby, Founder, Lead Designer and CEO of SSC.

The name “Tuatara” was inspired by a modern day New Zealand reptile that bears the same name. A direct descendent of the dinosaur, this reptile’s name translated from the Maori language means “peaks on the back,” which is quite fitting, given the winglets on the back of the new car. While the Tuatara is a very unique creature, there was a particular property of this reptile that immediately married it with SSC. The Tuatara possesses the fastest evolving DNA in the world, and amongst the world’s greatest supercar manufacturers, so does SSC.

Mr. Shelby explains, “Most manufacturers essentially use the same basic model and body shape for up to 10 years, while only making small refinements to it each year. After only three years in production with the Ultimate Aero, SSC’s Tuatara is about to monumentally evolve in the areas of sophistication, design, aerodynamics and shear all – around performance. We felt that the fastest evolving DNA was a perfect definition of SSC’s latest project.”

This new C5 Airscape model is no exception to that rule as you might see from the pictures below.

The Airscape is a new Concept car from Citroen, but it is a car that really holds up to its expectation, just look at thos great lines of the body work.

Looking at some pictures you can also see that the car was build for High Performance and the specs alto tell you that it is enviroment frendly.

Even with its V6 HDi engine with a particulate filter and the ability to run on biodiesel.
Also the UrbanHybrid technology garanties low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

But I must also admit that I really don’t like the brown interior, not even in the combination with brown tan cover…
Black would have made it a better design for me, than agian, design is an art and a personal view.. you like it or you don’t

So here is a view of the BMW M1 from his first appearance to its new ” concept” anniversary version

The First version of the BMW M1 was introduced in 1979! so in a few days that will be Thirty, yes 30 years ago!

Here is a picture of that version:

Now over the years there was another version build, with much more power and more streamlined as well,. but the big one in modern design was the latest version.

Now below you can see all three versions in a row, and still be amazed about the fact that mucht of the first design elements are still there in the latest version.
