Three great stretches of road were closed for them in succession in the early hours of a Friday morning, the equivalent of a Sunday in the Arab world and the quietest time of the week. This was great. The welcome for Top Gear from Abu Dhabi was truly overwhelming - for them to go to all this trouble just shows you what these guys are all about. Friendship, hospitality and cars. And they’re dead serious about their car culture here.

As the world patiently waits for the debut of the all new Ferrari California the Italians continue to tease us with small details of the newest model to be added to the stable. The latest releases include: a computer animated video showing the Ferrari California racing round a racetrack and some high-resolution photos! Enjoy.

The Ferrari California is the first Ferrari model to feature a mid-front positioned engine: The 4.3-Liter V8 Engine with direct fuel injection and a “flat” crankshaft pumps out 460 horses at 7500 rpm and will apparently launche it from 0-60mph (100km/h) in under 4 seconds!! It is also the first Ferrari to benefit from a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission which helps enhance the performance figures.

It’s haunting to see an exotic car get destroyed in an accident (which are usually very gruesome) but keeping that in mind is why even Ferrari’s must go through strict crash testings in order to meet transportation guidelines in almost every country.

Focus Auto Sales graciously loaned their $120k 1999 R34 Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec in factory Lightning Yellow (one of the rarest R34 GTR colors available) for this test drive. In order for Kerry Ann De La Cruz to properly test drive the 580hp Skyline she had to ditch the heels but unfortunately not the bikini!

Checkout these spy photos of the most likely early Porsche 911 998 test mule. The Porsche911 998 model is planned for delivery on 2011 so it’s still in it’s early development stage. These photos show extended wheel arches, indicating that the Porsche 998 will most likely have a wider track and potentially be bigger than the current Porsche 911 997.

The 2nd generation Porsche Cayman isn’t slotted to make its worldly debut until January 2009, however as usual official rendering photos of this new model have been leaked!!

As shown by these renderings, the 2010 Porsche Cayman will have a fresh new front fascia including new and rounder air-intakes, updated fog lights, a new front bumper, reshaped taillights and LED daytime driving lamps. Sweeeeeeet!

The new Nissan R35 GTR has been available on the Japanese market for a while now and there are already a number of tuners who have been tuning it since, Garage Defend GTR, Mines Motorsport GTR and Powerhouse Amuse.

Powerhouse Amuse’s very own R35 GT-R phantom is a “show and track” car (see videos below), equipped with the best products in all categories. With Powerhouse Amuse tweaks the GT-R’s VR38DETT engine now pumps out 611hp at 6200 rpm. With the combined performance of their R1 Titan exhaust, new suspensions, revised aero and other modifications, they manage to get the car down to 59.061 seconds around the Tsukuba circuit with Hideki Tanabe driving.

Keep in mind the Nissan GTR R35 is highly technical and sophisticated mastery of Engineering and was designed as such to limit tuning to the pro’s. Powerhouse Amuse has their technical house in order and already offers a whack of performance tested parts including CPU, muffler, catalyzer, suspension, aero and front pip as installed on this one.

This 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo ‘S’ is the only one ever produced in the unique BLUE TURQUOISE color. This car was special ordered by Jerry Seinfeld and flown over to CA when the car was completed - this $4K charge is on the copy of the window sticker. The seller has the certificate of authenticity, copies of some service records and a copy of Jerry’s original title.

Seinfeld put 7,839 miles on the car before he sold it on April 14, 2005 (Why would he sell it?) and it has since been traded like a cheap American hooker among several collectors since. He had the special phone console installed at the dealer in Los Angeles as well as European springs added - everything else in 100% stock condition.

The car (Vin # - WPOAC2991VS375741) has zero flaws and has just been serviced at the local dealership in Atlanta. The special ordered yellow seat belts and floor mats are a beautiful blend w/ the stock S brake calipers and is simply a breath taking Porsche. The car also features a carbon fiber steering wheel as well as the carbon fiber backed heated sport seats.

The owner is “condensing his collection” and it must go. (Such a crazy statement!)

Produced by Shelby Super Cars (not to be confused with Carroll Shelby International), the SSC Aero is an American-built sports car, verified by the Guinness World Records as the fastest production car in existence. With 1183 hp and 1094 ft.-lbs of torque, the SSC Aero has been clocked at 257 mph and does 0-60 in 2.78 seconds.

With the recent Lamborghini Gallardo update (both styling and mechanical) producing the new and improved Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, there isn’t a whole lot one would need to tweak upon garaging such a beast. Not immediately anyways.

Since acquiring the LP5560-4 the IMSA Tuners went to work adding some minor styling tweaks such as a subtle carbon fiber spoiler (Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Style) and IMSA black spoke polished lip alloys.

Mechanically they have massaged the V10’s output and added 24 horsepower to the already plentiful 560hp making it an LP584-4. While not yet specified, engine modifications are most likely accomplished via air flow improvements (meaner growling exhaust system) and an ECU re-mapping.

A new suspension setup has also been fitted, to improve the car’s already amazing updated handling abilities.

Don’t forget to checkout the widebody IMSA Lamborghini Gallardo GTV with 1000 HP which I spotted during the 2008 Montreal Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend earlier this year!!
