Stephane Benedetti is coming back to Cardiff!!

He will be here on the 21st of March from 2pm until 5pm. For those of you who have not trained with Stephane before, he is a 6th dan and an amazing teacher. His aikido is both soft and incredibly powerful, and his teaching will benefit beginners and more experienced students equally. The cost of this course will be £5, there is no way you will ever get training of this standard for this cheaply anywhere else!

China ChinaAfter the training with Stephane Benedetti on Saturday 21st March, the idea is to go to China China on St Mary’s Street for all you can eat buffet. Apparently the price should be about £15 per person.

If interested, meet there at 7pm.
We can head onwards into town afterwards if anyone feels able to move after eating so much!

By the way, this isn’t an April Fools, honest: Chapter seems to have a poor choice when it comes to making announcements.

As usual, sensei Dave is opening up his house to all us vagabondish students for a night of loads of amazing and fresh food, abundant alcohol and general good times. It’s always a great evening, starting at 3pm and carrying on into the wee hours of the morning. It’s been placed to coincide with the long Bank Holiday weekend, but everyone appreciates ’tis exam/coursework season and we hope that you’ll all be able to make it for at least a couple of hours. Just make sure you don’t eat before you go!

Dave lives in Fairwater, feel free to ask the committee for his address or for directions by car or public transport. Most likely we can arrange lifts or shared taxis anyway.

Please RSVP if you are coming, just so Dave has some idea what to let himself in for.

The Saturday session has been dropped and the Thursday one is now an hour earlier at 19:00-21:00. As always you are welcome to join our members at other nonstudent clubs at which they train/run. Enquire for details.

This period is a great time to start aikido if you are thinking about trying it out, especially if you are a student/prospective student already in Cardiff over the Summer. The classes are usually more intimate with the student body away, and it’s a great chance to get ahead start.
