May Krafty Release Hop!

I've used Gabby for my card today - isn't she just fabulous?! I coloured her up to match my BoBunny papers and popped her volleyball up to add dimension. I cut apart my sentiment so that I could fit it on my image panel as well.

Welcome back to Day FOUR of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps May previews!!! We are back with three more of our sassy BEACHY GIRLS for you today! Just wait 'til ya see!

This will also be the last set of stamps from Annie for a little while as she's taking a bit of a hiatus from stamp art at the moment. And as she's taking some time off, we are THRILLED to finally be able to share a BIG SECRET with you!!! Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is super excited to tell you that we will be introducing TWO new artists to the KKS family next month!!! We're not going to tell you who they are just yet.....but you may recognize their style.... and their names!!! Teehee!!!

I used Margarita for my card (although I snuck in a sentiment from the Totally Tubular set - oops!) and the same BoBunny papers I used in yesterday's card. I sponged with some orange ink and used some mesh ribbon as well.

I've used the Lucas image from the Totally Tubular set. I've paired it with some My Mind's Eye Boy Crazy papers and added some die cut waves and twine along the bottom too. The tube has been coated with my Sakura Clear Glaze pen so it's all shiny!

I've used this fabulous flip flop image from the Summer Lovin' set (now I'll be singing the Grease soundtrack all day!) and coloured it up with my copics to match the Echo Park Splash paper that I pulled out. I used my nestabilities to make a shaped card and kept it simple with just some twine and a button to finish it off. Wouldn't this make a fabulous gift card holder for a pedicure? There are a couple of other fabulous images in this set and some great sentiments, so hop around to see what the rest of the Krafty Girls have created for you!

Well I might have stretched my card for the challenge just a little bit. I have a fishtail banner going across my card - so I hope that's enough to fit this challenge! I've used this super sweet Lexi image from the Sweet Dreams set and coloured her up to match my Doodlebug papers. I added the banner, some stitching and brads for embellishments. Oh and GREAT news - this set is on sale especially for National Scrapbook Day! Woot!

Krafty Challenge - Emboss it!

Welcome back to another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie stamps! This week our hostess is SANDIE and her challenge is Heat or Dry Embossing! Since it is the season, I pulled out my Spring Trinkets set and decided to knock a Mother's Day card off my list! Although you can't tell well from my picture - the trinket is actually stamped in Bamboo Leaves Memento ink as well as Versamark, and then has clear embossing powder over top. In real life it's all shiny and glossy - but that doesn't seem to be showing in the picture. I mounted it on a circle and a paper doily and then onto some Doodlebug paper. This card has to go in the mail, so I wanted to keep it pretty flat.

I've used this super cute Lucas image from Sunshiney Day for my card and paired him with some new (to me) Echo Park About a Boy papers. I kept my card pretty clean and simple and added just a touch of ribbon and a felt star. My son loves his scooter so this image really spoke to me!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - BFF Trinkets!

We are kicking off the *New* APRIL Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and of course we're starting off with new TRINKETS. Today we’d like to introduce you to an awesome new set of ….BFF TRINKETS!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting. This month we are releasing the BFF Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber. They're just PERFECT for all your friendly creations!

I love how easy it is to make up some cute packaging with trinket stamps. I had this cute little candy window bag around and decided to fancy it up with a BFF trinket matted a couple of times and some washi tape! Easy peasy!

I've used Anne of Green Gables for my card today. One of my very favorite books! She just screamed for a flower. I coloured her up with my copics to match my older MME papers. There's flowers on my patterned paper as well as a flower embellishment. I also added some stitching and some natural trim. The layout is this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

Krafty Challenge - The Great Outdoors!

I picked an image from the World of Wonder set (something about this image just really speaks to me!) and coloured her up with my copics. I used some newer MME papers and added some natural trim and some mesh ribbon for texture. I die cut some butterflies and added them for embellishment. I'm so glad the weather is finally getting nice enough that we can spend more time outdoors!

I pulled out Gadget Girl for my card. This was a stamp that I didn't get when it was released, but fell in love with it after seeing so many gorgeous samples. I've had it for a while now and decided it was perfect for this week's challenge. I paired her with some MME papers and added some crinkled ribbon, brads and stitching. I coloured her similar to one of our favorite family movies - The Incredibles.

I've used one of the new Sassy Sprites - Ivy and paired her up with some older MME papers. I kept the card and layout simple so as to let the image really shine. I sponged around the edge of my Nestability with some Versamagic Wheat ink and a sponge dauber to give it a bit of definition as well.

I used Melaina for my card today and paired her up with one of the new Fabulous Frames! I stamped Melaina first, then used some Eclipse masking tape and stamped and cut a mask. I applied it over top of the stamped image and then stamped the frame over top. So it looks like her wings and hair are jutting out over the top of the frame - cool, eh? And not so much work since the lines weren't fiddly on that side of the image.

I coloured her with my copics and paired her up with some Echo Park Garden Party papers. I sponged around the edges and added some crochet trim and a faceted button as well.

I also added some Spica pen on her wings - it's so much more glittery in person!

I used the second frame in the set on the interior of the card and added one of the fabulous sentiments from the frame set as well. I love this one and what a super easy way to finish off the inside.

I decided to use Lulu today - I love the way she's floating on that cloud! I paired her up with some older MME papers and another older Mojo Monday sketch. I added a bit of ribbon and some orange washi tape. I also glittered up her wings and wand but it's not showing well in the picture. I must admit that this sentiment gave me pause - but only because of the most recent season of The Bachelor (my guilty little secret)!

I kept today's card pretty simple! I paper pieced my pixie's dress and cut her out. I added one of the new Fairy Trinkets as well and left it all on a Kraft base. The papers are from one of the newer MME releases (and of course I can't remember the name - Notable, maybe?!). The layout is an older Mojo Monday sketch as well.

It's time for Kraftin' Kimmie's MARCH 2013 RELEASE! We are kicking off the *New* MARCH Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and we're excited that this month we have TWO sets of fabulous TRINKETS! We'll share one set today by itself and one set tomorrow in combo with some new images. Today we’d like to introduce you to a beautiful new set of ….SPRING TRINKETS!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall. They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting. This month we are releasing the SPRING Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones.

I chose to use this awesome Mother's Day trinket out of the Spring Trinkets set. This is the larger of the two, and I stamped it with Versamark ink on Hot Fudge cardstock and then embossed it with seafoam powder. I pulled out my Doodlebug Hello Spring papers and added some layers. The layout is an older Mojo Monday sketch.

I used Sherlock Holmes for my card and kept it pretty simple. I always have trouble embellishing my masculine cards! I paper pieced his hat and cloak with some plaid papers from an Echo Park This & That paper pad. I also used co-ordinating papers for the other layers. Easy peasy!

I've used Lulu holding an Easter basket from the set and coloured her up with my copics to match the Doodlebug papers that I chose. I stayed pretty true to the sketch and didn't add any embellishments - I figured there was a lot going on with the patterned papers and didn't want to overwhelm.

Here I've used this super cute girl with a backpack and paired her with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. The papers are some older My Mind's Eye and I added some buttons and natural trim. I also used some felt grass on the bottom panel rather than a scalloped edge like the sketch called for. Just wait until you see the other images in this set - super cute!
