Vacation anyone?

So summer can't seem to come fast enough for me!

Haha... i'm pretty much tired of the wind and rain

all day everyday! Oh, we might get some sun a day or so, but thats about it!

Last Christmas my hubby and i decided not to get big

gifts for each other. Instead we used that money for a trip

to Hawaii! Yes, Hawaii =)

Our vacation starts end of May and we can't wait =)

This will be our 3rd time there together,

2nd time for the kids

and my parents have decided to join us too,

so this will be their first time!

Coincidently, our 9th wedding anniversary falls in during our vacation,

so maybe my parents could watch the kids for a night ;)

A question for you all who have been to Hawaii or live there.

Any scrapbooking/crafting places i should check out?

I always have some on hand because its always someones

On both these cards i used washi tape and Kraft cardstock.

I just wanted to clarify that i am NOT expecting!! hehee

My younger sister is expecting a baby in July!

This evening they had a Gender reveal party!

here is a picture of her and the cake before they cut it.

I'm going to leave it in suspense til tomorrow to reveal the gender!

( reason is, most family and friends don't know yet but they will soon!)

We didn't make it WA for the reveal, but my brother was in town for work and he took the pictures.

How is everyone doing? Yes, i'm still alive.... =)

Its been a lot of crazy busy weeks.

Hopefully the next 2 weeks will calm down a bit

as my kids are off school for Spring Break!

We have a few playdates lined up already, so hopefully

the weather co-operates and we can go outside

to play!

What has everyone been up to?

We are planning to visit my younger sister in the US

during our Good Friday/Easter long weekend.

She hasn't mentioned this to too many people yet,

but they are expecting a little one in July!

So excited!!! Tonight they are doing a Gender reveal party.

Yay, can't wait to find out if i'm getting another nephew or a niece!

On to the scrappy stuff thats happening now:

Currently loving: mist sprays! OMG..

i only have 5 bottles of Mister Hueys and i love them!!

Another product that i love is ClearSnap Smooch Spritz!!

So shimmery and sparkly.

Currently trying to get used to: Have you all tried the Heidi Swapp

colour resist papers? Still trying to get used to it.

Currently working on: birthday cards of course!

Currently in the mail: i have the Amy Tangerine Remarks Alpha Stickers

on the way. Cannot wait to try them. ( i have a weakness for alphas... hehe)

My husband was/is working all day today, so maybe we'll do something special tomorrow

as he has the whole day off ;)

Today the kids celebrated Valentines Day at school.

They both came home with cards, chocolates/candies and stickers!

I've always been a Basic Grey fan.

But just recently i found this one collection that i thought was so cute!

Hopscotch! Its perfect for my Valentines theme.

Sometimes you gotta move away from the pinks and reds..lol

A Week Before Christmas

Its been a long while since i've blogged.

My kids celebrated their birthdays! We took them bowling for the first time and they loved it! Even though they we're both battling colds and whatnot :(

Its been a long 3 weeks with each of the kids getting sick twice and then finally i got sick too. But luckily everyone is all better now, just in time for Christmas.

I made a few Christmas cards that i wanted to share with you.

These are all made with Echo Park Papers.

First 3 are with EP Mini Themes "Happy Holidays"

This last one is used with EP "Very Merry Christmas"

Can you tell i'm a big fan of Echo Park Papers ? ;) lol

November it is!

Wow, can't believe its November already!

Well actually i can because the RAIN is here :P

In the Pacific Northwest, we typically get mostly rain for our winter months. We will get the occasional snowfall and then everyone panics and it gets crazy! haha

It's been a busy few weeks for me.

I know you are supposed to go to the dentist every 6 months, but i haven't been. My excuse was that life got in the way.

Or at least until my tooth began to hurt, which then prompted me to head to the dentist ASAP! Turns out i needed a root canal ;P

Let's say it was not as painfully as i heard =)

Anyways, the lesson to be learned here is to visit your dentist every 6 months!!!

My kids got their check-up/cleaning 2 days after Halloween and they were both cavity free! Yay!

Heres a pic of my boy as Mario!

He loved his costume! We got it 2 weeks before Halloween and he wore it everyday! hahaha

On a serious note. Tomorrow i go for a FNA. ( fine needle aspiration).

I found a lump on my throat and the drs think its an enlarged thyroid gland. We've done lots of blood work but tomorrow they want to get a sample.

I'm nervous and scared, but mostly just want to get it over with and find out what this lump is. Pray that its nothing.

My little brother is getting married this weekend. Unfortunately we won't be able to attend as the wedding is in Thailand. Can't wait to see pictures =)

Next up,

Planning to go Black Friday shopping as hubby has the day off! Yay.

Planning my kids birthday party.. thinking of bowling ?!

Plans for Christmas, slowly making a list of gifts for the family.

Hello everyone! Happy Halloween!!!

My little ones are going as SpiderGirl and Super Mario... I will post pictures later today.

Their class has invited family and friends to attend their Halloween Party. I'm going to bring my camera to take videos and pictures of them singing and reciting poems.

A crafty kind of day!

So my kids are home today as they have Pro-D Day. On top of that they are both under the weather. =( Needless to say i didn't sleep much last night, running back and forth to their rooms. Today they seem a bit better, so we decided to do some crafts.

We're still in the midst of stamping goodie bags for their classmates. I will post when those are done and stuffed with treats! =)

We started on Halloween cards for their teachers. ( Do people make Halloween cards or usually not? )

I made this " hello" banner for my daughters room. Using Echo Park Papers from the Hello Summer Collection. I used the cricut cartridge George and Basic Shapes to cut out the circles and the fonts.

This is the card that i entered into the EP stripes and dots contest that happened a few months ago. Which was chosen as 1 of 5 winners and i received the "Hello Summer" colelction as my prize!

Is everyone enjoying the Olympics? My kids get so excited when they see Canada/ maple leaf on t.v!!

Happy June!

I can't believe its June already!

Some highlights of this month.
- My DD finishes kindergarten =)
- my birthday
- Fathers day ( which happens to fall on the same day as my b-day)
- planning our summer vacation

My goal this month is to stop buying scrapbooking supplies! So far, so good ;)
I'm pretty sure i have most everything i need, i just have to start creating again.
What do you do to get back into the groove? so to speak.

I hope everyone is enjoying the spring/ summer-like weather.
We're still in the sunny one day and then rainy the next. =P

This is actually the third card i made, but since actual card #2 is still in my camera that i lost but found and now is lost again =( We'll say this is card #2! ( *so confusing sorry!)

This card here is for my mom. Her birthday is this coming Saturday!
I'm finally beginning to use my cricut a lot now and i have to say i love it!!

A few weeks ago, our friends had a 4th birthday party for their son. We found out that they are expecting again, another boy we were told!

Papers, ribbons and chipboard cake sticker were from Imaginisce Birthday Bash Collection.

So very cute! Since i make a lot of birthday cards, i think i'm going to have to stock up!

So i totally forgot all of January! Oops! Probably wasn't all that interesting anyways.. haha

All i remember was that it was COLD and we actually got some snow.

Anyways, as we are on to February now and tomorrow is Valentines Day.

I thought i'd show you some Valentines lovelies the kids made!

I used the cricut to cut out the hearts, the stamps are from Studio G. And i added some twine to attach the pencil.

Christmas Celebrations!

Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. We had a wonderful time at my parents house. The kids and I spent the night before Christmas Eve at their house so we could help out with the Christmas Eve dinner the next day. My kids totally enjoyed sleeping over at grandmas' house.. haha. So much so that they asked to do it again! This weekend =)

Only a few more days till the new year. Any goals/ resolutions in the works? I'd love to hear them! For me, i'm hoping to be more active and eat healthier. For the crafty dept. I'd like to start and finish a year in my daughters' scrapbook. I think i have enough papers to work with.. hahaha

Kids Birthdays

So last week we celebrated both my kids birthdays. My son is Dec 7 and my daughter is Dec 11. It made sense to do it on one day instead of two. Well at least for now when they are young, but i'm pretty sure they will want thier own party with their own friends as they grow older.

We went out for dinner beforehand then we came back home for cake and presents.

Busy kinda weekend...

The weather has been getting kinda nippy lately!

We've had frost the last few nights. We might just get a white Christmas!

Sorry I haven't been keeping up to date on blogging. My son got the sniffles and coughs, which he passed on to his sister and this time around i caught the bug too! First time i've been really sick this year. =(

Happy to say we are all doing better now. Just in time for their birthdays too! ;D

This year we are just going out with family to celebrate thier birthdays and then having cakes at our house afterwards. ( we are going tonight!)

My daughter has 1 week left before winter break, so we started making some Christmas cards for her classmates. Heres a card i made for her teacher.

This year i think i'm on top of things, no more last minute shopping for moi =)

My sister is watching the kids while hubby and I sneak across the border for some BF shopping!

(really, we're not sneaking in. We have Nexus, which makes crossing the border a lot quicker, though i'm not sure that will be the case come Thursday/Friday!)

I got to use the Holly Jolly Christmas collection from Echo Park. And i have to say i LOVE it!! Its so much fun to ~~work~~ play with! Heres the first card i made from this line.
