Triodos Bank UK has bolstered its business lending team with the appointment of Scott Pamflett as a senior relationship manager, as it continues to grow its presence in the healthcare sector.

With 40 years in banking, Pamflett has experience working at Barclays and Santander, including a focus on supporting healthcare clients. He has worked with independent owner-managed businesses, larger regional or national groups, with acquisition, refinance, development finance and long-term growth strategies and financial solutions.

He joins the wellbeing team at Triodos, which supports organisations that are working with vulnerable people in society, from residential and nursing care homes to therapeutic children’s services and residential family centres. In 2025, the team approved over £100m in new lending, supporting 87 care homes and more than 1,300 adults, children and young people.

Pamflett will be based in the North West, supporting clients nationwide. ‘Those who rely on care services depend on stable, high-quality support, and resilient funding can be the difference between continuity of care and disruption,’ he said. ‘Joining Triodos Bank UK has given me the opportunity to use my skills and experience to work with projects that have an important, positive impact on the health and wellbeing of communities across the UK, including those with complex care needs.’

Recent healthcare lending by the bank includes a £21m loan to Fisher Care Group to support the purchase and development of two care homes in the North of England, and £12.3m to Beritaz Care to refinance existing debt and expand Robertson Nursing Home.

Gemma Lyons has joined Jewish Care as a trustee and continues to serve as a member on the charity’s fundraising advisory committee.

She has been involved with Jewish Care and with Jami mental health service since 2023, initially through its mental health committee and subsequently as a member of the fundraising advisory committee. Previously, Lyons served as a trustee of Jami, supporting strategic planning, fundraising and communications.

‘I am delighted to be joining the board of Jewish Care,’ said Lyons. ‘It is an honour and a privilege to be able to contribute to such a vital charity. I look forward to supporting its important work and helping to ensure that the wide range of services continue to make a meaningful and lasting difference, not only to the people it supports, but also to their families, volunteers, staff and the wider community.’

Beginning her career at UBS Investment Bank covering media companies, Lyons later moved to the office of the chairman and chief executive officer to focus on strategy and financial analysis. After her corporate career, she was a teacher of macroeconomics at Haberdashers’ Boys’ School and continues to be involved in its educational outreach partnership programme. Lyons is also a trustee of the National Holocaust Museum.

Deborah Hulse-Raper has joined care directory Autumna in the role of head of commercial growth.

Hulse-Raper, who brings more than 30 years of experience across commercial operations, customer experience, sales and business development, joins following more than a decade at HC-One, where she most recently worked as head of customer care. During her time at the provider, she led a customer-facing operation supporting prospective residents, families, healthcare professionals and referral partners.

A focus of her new role will be supporting the growth of OpenScore, Autumna’s live, continually updated view of care home quality. OpenScore brings together more than 65 indicators – spanning areas from food to family feedback – to provide families with a clearer picture of what a care home is like today, rather than relying solely on information captured at the point of an inspection.

‘My immediate priority is to build on the strong foundations already in place by increasing awareness and adoption of OpenScore across the care sector, while helping more providers showcase the quality of care they deliver every day. Alongside this, I want to strengthen commercial partnerships, enhance engagement with care providers and ensure even more families can benefit from clear, reliable information when making care decisions,’ said Hulse-Raper.

Residential and nursing home provider KYN has appointed Wendy Westbury as head of client engagement and Joana Pereira as senior client manager, as the business expands its portfolio from two to five homes across London.

Westbury joins the KYN head office, reporting to chief commercial officer Rosanna Fishbourne, in the newly created role to lead sales performance across each home. She brings more than 16 years of sales leadership experience from operators including Hamberley Care Homes, Dormy Care Communities, Signature, Barchester and Sunrise.

Based initially at KYN Hurlingham, she will mentor the client engagement team, nurture local business and community relationships and support prospective residents and their families through the admissions journey.

Reporting to Westbury, Pereira joins as senior client manager from her most recent position as head of business development at LifeCare Residences – The Albert Suites, where she oversaw admissions, strengthened CRM performance, and built referral networks. Previous roles include positions at All Points North, Candlewood House Nursing Home and Four Seasons Health Care.

Together, Westbury and Pereira will support both KYN’s operating homes and new locations opening in 2028 in Highgate and Kensington, and KYN Riverside, scheduled to open in 2029.
