BMSB PO Exam Pattern, Sample Papers & Books

Baroda Manipal School of Banking (BMSB) Exam 2013 for selection of PO trainee is scheduled to be held on 7th of July, 2013 and this blog post has been made to provide you the prep/study materials for BMSB PO Exam - it at first discusses about the Exam Pattern/Syllabus and than goes on to provide you the Sample/Online Paper & Prep Books for Baroda Manipal School of Banking PO Exam that you can use in your preparation for the exam.

Baroda Manipal School of Banking PO Selection Process:

The BMSB PO selection process consists of a written test followed by Group Discussion & Interview. The written test, consisting of 250 marks has two parts - an Objective paper (200 marks) which will be held online and a Descriptive paper (50 marks) which will be held offline. The final merit list for selection will be on the basis of performance in Online Test, Descriptive Test, Group discussion (GD) and Interview.

BMSB PO Exam Pattern:

As said, there are total 250 marks in BMSB PO - 200 marks Online Objective paper (duration 2 hours) and 50 marks Offline Descriptive paper (duration 1 hour).

There are four test sections in BMSB PO Objective paper and you have to qualify in each of the test sections. Test section-wise Cut-off mark would be decided based on the relative performance of all the candidates. You can find the test section-wise mark distribution along with the number of questions in the table at right. There is negative marking in BOB PO exam Objective paper - so be cautious in making guess answers.

As you can see above Test of English language (Objective & Descriptive paper combined) weighs 100 marks out of 250 (40%) and therefore you should put more emphasis on Test of English section.

Syllabus for BMSB PO Exam Descriptive paper as given in the notification is: Comprehension, Short Precis Letter Writing & Essay.

This exam pattern is very similar to IBPS CWE PO exam as you can see in the exam pattern of IBPS CWE PO exam in the table at left. Hence you can use the prep materials of IBPS CWE PO exam (i.e. sample papers & Book) to study for BOB PO exam.

If you follow the above approach, with a single preparation, you can appear for both IBPS CWE PO exam as well as BMSB PO Exam.

National Insurance Recruitment 2013

National Insurance Company (NIC) Ltd. has advertised recruitment notification 2013 few days back for a huge recruitment of 2600 Insurance Assistants for all the four Public Sector General Insurance Companies of India - National, Oriental, New India & United India Insurance. As per the notification, submission of Online form/registration has already started from 18th May 2013 and the last date for registration of online application is 8th June 2013. Insurance Assistant Common Written Exam 2013 is scheduled to be held on 14th/21st July 2013.

This blog post is dedicated to help you apply for the PSU Insurance Assistants job by encapsulating the relevant information on application form and eligibility by quoting the same from the notification. But before that, let us know what are General Insurance Companies of India and also about this particular exam.

What are General Insurance Companies of India:

Four Public Sector General Insurance Companies of India are as below:

1.0 National Insurance Co. Ltd

2.0 Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd

3.0 New India Assurance Co. Ltd

4.0 United India Insurance Co. Ltd

Employee strength in these four PSU Insurance Companies together is huge: 65651. They have presence in almost every part of India with 6116 offices/business centers. In last FY (2012-13), total Premium Income generated by these four insurance companies together is about Rs.35000 crores.

Insurance Assistant Common Written Exam 2013?

Yes, this is for the first time all the 4 General Insurance Companies of India are recruiting insurance assistants through a common written exam. Prior to this, all of them used to conduct their own exam separately. So this is a big opportunity for you to get the much coveted insurance assistants job through a single exam.

But you should note that only the written exam part has been made common – you still have to appear for Interview & Computer Proficiency Test for each insurance company separately. National Insurance Company Ltd. (NIC) is coordinating the Insurance Assistant Exam 2013 for all the four companies.

General Insurance Assistant Vacancy 2013:

As told, there are a total of 2600 Assistant position vacancies. You can find the insurance company-wise, category-wise vacancies in the table at right. Company-wise, State-wise, Category-wise vacancies can be found in page 2-5 of the notification.

Why the State-wise vacancy is important is that you can apply only for vacancies of a particular state only and have to appear in one of the exam centers of that state. In addition, you should know the regional language of that state, as it is a pre-recruitment eligibility.

Insurance Assistants Salary:

The General Insurance Companies are offering Insurance Assistants salary in the Pay-Scale: 7640-440(1)-8080-480(2)-9040-540(5)-11740-625(2)-12990-760(3)-15270-790(2)-16850-840(5)-21050. With this pay-scale, total salary for an Insurance Assistant in a metro is Rs.15000/- per month approximately.

Selection Process for Insurance Assistants:

The selection process for Insurance Assistant consists of the common recruitment exam, followed by a Computer Proficiency Test and than Interview.

The written exam consists of a 2-hour, 250 marks Objective type question paper which has test sections: Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, English Language, General Awareness & Numerical Ability. Eligibility for Insurance Assistants in General Insurance Companies:

Age eligibility: (as on 30th June 2013)

Minimum Age: 18 years; Maximum Age: 28 years. DOB not earlier than 1st July 1985 and not later than 30th June 1995 (both days inclusive). Age relaxations exists as per Govt. rule.

Academic Qualification eligibility:

Graduate from a recognized University OR Min 60% marks in Class-XII (50% for Ex-servicemen, SC/ST/PWD)

In addition, knowledge of regional language (i.e. Language of the State of Recruitment) is essential.

General Insurance Assistant Recruitment 2013 Online form:

There is no offline application for this recruitment. You have to apply through online application form only.

BMSB Admission 2013-2014 Notification Form Eligibility

Exam Notification for Bank of Baroda Manipal School of Banking (BMSB) Admission 2013-2014 had been advertised recently and submission of online form for the same is underway since from 4th May, 2013. Last date for submission of online form/registration is 18th May, 2013. As per the notification, BMSB Exam 2013 for selection of would-be POs (Probationary Officers) in Bank of Baroda would be held on 7th July, 2013.

This is a good chance for those of you graduates (with 60%, 55% for SC/ST/PWD) to vie for a banking career in Bank of Baroda through the learn-and-work program. This article of mine throws light on important aspects of Bank of Baroda Manipal School of Banking admission by quoting the relevant information on application form and eligibility from the above notification to help you apply for the same. But before that, a small note on Bank of Baroda Manipal School of Banking (BMSB) PO program.

What is BMSB PO program?

Baroda Manipal School of Banking is a learn and than work program launched by Bank of Baroda in association with Manipal University through which it selects would-be POs, train them for 1-year and them induct them as Probationary Officers. On successful completion of the one year training, the trainees are awarded PG Diploma (Banking & Finance) by BMSB. You can find more about the BOB PO program from this web-page.

This PO program is very similar to the ICICI Manipal Academy PO program, details of which can be found in my earlier article titled: ICICI PO Recruitment 2013 Notification, Forms & Eligibility.

Similar to ICICI PO program, the 1-year training program at BMSB is not free - the course fee is Rs. 3.15/- lakhs (all inclusive of boarding, Lodging and course fees, other fees, etc.) plus service taxes. However, Bank of Baroda offers education loan (at 8% interest) for this fee - The 7-year EMI for the loan would start only after the POs have joined the bank.

Baroda Manipal School of Banking was first launched in April, 2011 and the first batch for BMSB PO program was inducted in August, 2011.

BMSB Admission 2013-2014 Number of seats/Vacancy:

Close to 1200 students would be enrolled through BMSB Admission 2013-2014 - in 4 batches (i.e. 300 students per batch) at the interval of every 3 months.

Category-wise vacancy of BMSB PO program for each of this batch is given below:

SC: 45; ST: 23; OBC: 81; UR: 151; TOT:300

BMSB Admission Eligibility:
Age Eligibility (as on 01.09.2013):
Minimum- 21 years, Maximum- 26 years
Age relaxation exists as per Govt rule.

Academic Qualification Eligibility:
Minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWD) in Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University

Final year degree students can also apply provided you can submit the Final Degree Mark sheet & Provisional Certificate on or before 01.09.2013.

BMSB Admission Selection Process:

Selection process for Baroda Manipal School of Banking consists of a written test followed by GD and Interview. The written test consists of two types of test: 200 Marks Objective test which will be held Online and 50 marks Offline Descriptive Test.

BMSB Admission 2013-2014 Online Form:

You have to apply only online for Baroda Manipal School of Banking. There is no offline application form.

However, you can submit the application fee (Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PWD candidate & Rs. 550/- for all others) either online or offline. Application Fee can be paid Online from 04.05.2013 to 18.05.2013 and Offline from 07.05.2013 to 22.05.2013.

DRDO CEPTAM Exam Pattern Papers and Books

Exam prep materials for DRDO Entry Test called as CEPTAM test (as it is conducted by Centre for Personnel Talent Management, an unit of DRDO) on the net is very scarce and therefore this blog article is being written to help you prepare for the same. You can also go through my previous blog post titled: CEPTAM DRDO Entry Test 2013 Notification, Eligibility & Forms to know more about the exam.

This article at first analyses the pattern of DRDO CEPTAM Entry Test, points you to the sample papers for the exam and lists out the prep books available on the market for DRDO CEPTAM Entry Test.

Exam Pattern of DRDO CEPTAM Entry Test

DRDO entry test consists of 150 Objective type questions to be answered in 2 hours, irrespective of positions you are applying for. However, the test sections depends on for which positions you have applied.

The pattern of exam for DRDO Entry Test for Technical positions (Senior Technical Assistants STA-B & Technician-A is as given in the table at right. As you can see, the subject test (i.e. the engineering discipline/trait) has been given twice weigtage (100 mark) compared to the Aptitude test (50 marks).

On the other hand the exam pattern for DRDO CEPTAM Entry Test for Admin Cadre positions is as given below:

Sample Papers for DRDO CEPTAM Entry Test:
As said in the beginning of the article, prep materials available on the net for this exam is very scarce and I found that whatever sample papers are available on the net, they are mostly for the other recruitment exam by DRDO called SET, which is an exam conducted for recruiting Scientists in DRDO.

Therefore, just to know what questions are asked in the General Aptitude Test sections of DRDO CEPTAM Entry Test, go through the exam papers posted in this blog post of mine for Bank Clerk exam. The test sections are identical for General Awareness,General Intelligence, Reasoning Ability sections of DRDO CEPTAM test.

On the other hand, for the "Subject Test", you have to rely on books alone as given below.

DRDO CEPTAM 2013 Notification Form Eligibility

DRDO has few days back issued notification for DRDO Entry Test 2013 – CEPTAM 2013 for 844 vacancies - 360 Senior Technical Assistants, 223 Technicians & 261 Admin cadre positions. Last date to apply for these positions is 27th May, 2013 and CEPTAM 2013 exam would be conducted on 25th August 2013. This notification has been published in Employment News dated 4th May, 2013.

What is DRDO

DRDO is one of the most respected Govt. organizations in India. It was formed in 1958 and at present has a network of 51 laboratories which are deeply engaged in developing defence technologies covering various disciplines, like aeronautics, armaments, electronic and computer sciences, human resource development, life sciences, materials, missiles, combat vehicles development and naval research and development. The organization includes more than 5,000 scientists and about 25,000 other scientific, technical and supporting personnel.

What is CEPTAM

CEPTAM (Centre for Personnel Talent Management) is an unit of DRDO which formulates & implements the recruitment and promotion policy of DRDO. It came into existence on 16th November 1995. Previously it was known as PEACE (Personnel Assessment Centre), which was established in December 1994.

Since from 2008, CEPTAM has been organising the annual recruitment test called as DRDO CEPTAM Entry test. This is the 6th CEPTAM recruitment test and is therefore called as CEPTAM-06.

There are 844 DRDO vacancies on offer, post-wise category-wise break up of which is given as at right.

DRDO CEPTAM Eligibility:

Eligibility for the DRDO CEPTAM depends on which positions you would like to apply for. While for Senior Technical Assistant-B the eligibility is B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering, eligibility for Technician-A is Class-X pass with ITI certificate. Eligibility for positions under Administrative cadre varies from Master's Degree to Class-X pass. Please see the position-wise eligibilities for DRDO CEPTAM in the Notification.

For position other than STA-B, You can apply either online or offline for DRDO CEPTAM recruitment exam. To apply for STA-B position, it is mandatory for you to apply through Online Application Form only.

SAIL RSP Recruitment 2013 Notification, Form & Eligibility

SAIL-Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has recently issued recruitment notification 2013 for 232 Technician Trainee: 106 Attendant-cum-Technician (ACT), 126 Operator-cum-Technician (OCT) vacancies through advertisement no.: 01/2013. As per this recruitment notification, submission of online form has began from 3rd May and the last date to apply this RSP SAIL recruitment is 8th June, 2013.

SAIL RSP Technician Trainee vacancy 2013:
There are a total of 232 Technician Trainee vacancies in this SAIL Recruitment for the two grades as given in the table at right.

SAIL Technician Trainee Salary:

Salary being offered by SAIL for these positions are:

Attendant-cum-Technician(Trainee): Scale of pay : Rs.8630- 3%- 12080

Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee): Scale of pay: Rs.9160 -3%- 13150

In addition to above Basic Pay, other benefits includes Medical, accommodation, CPF, Gratuity, LTC/LLTC, Leave Encashment, Production Incentive etc.

NDA-II 2013 Exam Notification Forms Eligibility

Notification for NDA & NA 2013 exam has been published by UPSC today through Exam Notice: 0/2013-NDA-II for admission to NDA (National Defence Academy) & NA (Naval Academy). As per the notification, online submission of form has already began and the last date for submission of NDA-II 2013 form is 3rd June 2013. The exam would be conducted on 11th August, 2013 (Sunday). This notification has been published in major national/regional dailies as well as in Employment News dated 4th May, 2013.

Through this defence entrance exam, you can get admission to one of the two defence institutes:

1.0 NDA: 3-year course after passing which you get B. Sc./ B.Sc. (Computer) / BA degree from JNU, Delhi and commissioned in Army/Air Force/ Navy forces.

2.0 NA: 4-year B. Tech. course after passing which you get commissioned in the executive or technical branches of the Indian Navy.

Why this exam is called NDA (I)? Because NDA exam is held twice every year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) - Exam (I) in mid-April and Exam (II) in mid-August. My previous blog post titled: NDA Exam – what & why? introduces you to NDA exam and why you should appear in it.

Min.: 16½, M - 19 years. (born not earlier than 2nd July, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 1998)
Also only MALE, UNMARRIED candidates are allowed to appear in NDA exam.

Academic eligibility for NDA exam:

You need to pass Class-XII or equivalent examination for Army wings of NDA (Physics & Maths in Class-XII is not a must.)

However for applying to the Air Force/Navy wings of NDA and for applying to Naval Academy, you must have studied Physics & Maths in your Class-XII.

If you are currently studying in Class-XII, you can also appear in the exam, provided you can provide the proof passing the exam by 5th December, 2013.

On top of above age and academic eligibility, you also need to have the minimum physical standard as required by UPSC.

NDA-II Exam 2013 Online Application Form:
You can apply only online for NDA 2013 exam. There is no offline application form.

In short, NDA 2013 Online form has two parts - Part-I & Part-II.
Part-I Registration process has 5 (FIVE) pages:
Page-1: Personal Information including Name , DOB , Father s name etc.
Page-2: Choose Examination Centre.
Page-3: Give preferences for Army Navy Air Force and Naval Academy.
Page-4: Displays all the data entered by you. It has option for you to edit these data.
Page-5: Displays the system generated unique Registration ID.

Part-II Registration Comprises Three Steps:
1. Fee Payment.
2. Uploading Of Photograph.
3. Uploading Of Signature.

Selection Process for DMRC JE, SSA, Maintainer:

The DMRC written exam for the position of SSA & JE consists of two papers - Paper-I (120 objective type questions, each worth 1 mark) and Paper-II (Descriptive type questions) - both papers of duration 1.5 hours.

While the DMRC written exam for the position of Maintainer consists of one paper - 120 objective type questions, each worth 1 mark with duration 1.5 hours.

Start date of online submission of form: 25.04.2013.
Last date of online submission of form: 16.05.2013 (23: 59 hrs)

Airports Authority of India (AAI) recruitment notification 2013 has been advertised few days back for recruitment of 245 Junior Assistant (Fire Service). You can download last 5 previous years exam papers of UGC-NET from this link of UGC NET website. These UGC-NET 2009-2012 previous years exam papers are in PDF format and since there are two exams each year, you can download UGC-NET exam papers of last ten exams.

One thing to note is that exam pattern has changed from last year (i.e. 2012). therefore you should note the same while going through these exam papers.

UGC NET 2013 Exam pattern/Format (New/Revised)

The exam pattern/format of UGC NET has been changed w.e.f. from UGC NET June 2012 onwards. This blog post is being made to let you know of the latest format/scheme of the NET exam, so that you can start preparing accordingly. The notifications for UGC NET June 2013 has already come out and you can find detailed information on the same in my previous blog article titled: UGC NET June 2013 Notification, Forms & Eligibility.

What has changed in the pattern/Format of UGC NET:

The major change that has been brought from this year onwards is that all three papers of UGC NET are going to be objective. Previously Paper-I & II were of Objective type while Paper-III was Descriptive type. Also the marks allotted to Paper-III has been reduced to 150 instead of 200 as was till last year. So the major change has happened in Paper-III of UGC NET.

With this the paper-wise revised format/pattern of UGC NET is as given in the following table:

As you can see, out of the total 350 marks, 250 marks is for your subject knowledge - more than 70%. So you have to put proper emphasis on your Subject knowledge.

In Paper-I (i.e. Teaching/ Research aptitude) there are 50 questions with 2 marks each. But in this paper, you will have the option to choose any 50 question out of a total of 60 questions. In the other two paper, you will not have this option - 50 questions have to be attempted in Paper-II & 75 questions in Paper-III.

Paper-I & II will be held in the morning half - Paper-I: 09.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. & Paper-I:I: 10.45 a.m. to 12.00 Noon. Paper-III will be in the afternoon (01.30 p.m. to 04.00 p.m).

UGC NET Cut-off Marks Category-wise:

Along with the change in the exam pattern, UGC has also changed the minimum cut-off marks for each paper. Now you have to score following minimum cut-off marks in UGC-NET which is given category-wise in the table at right.

As you can see from above, if you are a General category candidate, you need to score 40 marks in each of Paper-I & Paper-II and 75 marks in Paper-III of UGC-NET exam. This cut-off mark till last year was as below:

You should keep in mind that above cut-off mark is the minimum marks - only if you score these marks, you will be considered for publication of result. The final qualifying criteria for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship shall be decided by UGC before declaration of result.

UGC NET June 2013 Exam Notification has been published recently. As per the notification, last date to submit the online application form for UGC-NET June 2013 is 30th April, 2013 (Tuesday) and the NET (June, 2013) would be conducted on 30th June 2013.

For those of you who are not familiar with UGC NET, you can find below a synopsis of what is UGC NET.

What is UGC NET:

UGC (University Grants Commission) conducts NET (National Eligibility Test) twice every year: in the months of June & December for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges.

In early eighties, it was increasingly felt by public and leading educationists alike that quality of education system in India had deteriorated as a large number of people who had neither the competence nor the aptitude for teaching made an easy entry into the teaching profession. The cause for this was identified to be the absence of a Benchmark Qualifying test for entering into teaching profession.

Therefore, the Government on India, through a notification on 22nd July, 1988 entrusted the task of conducting the eligibility test for Lectureship to UGC. UGC was already conducting an examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) since 1984. As a result of this 1988 notification; UGC is conducting the National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) for Lectureship as well as with CSIR (CSIR-UGC NET) for both Lectureships as well as for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) since 1989.

Effective from 14th June, 2006, if you want to join the teaching profession as a lecturer in any of the UGC sponsored universities/Institutes/colleges, it is a must for you to qualify in the NET exam except if you are a Ph.D. degree holder (for PG level and UG level teaching) or a M.Phil degree holder (for UG level teaching only).

Last date of Application Form printout: 5th May, 2013 (Sunday)

Last date for receiving completed form at at the respective University: 8th May,.2013 (Wednesday)

Examination Date of UGC-NET June 2013: 30-06-2013 (Sunday)

Eligibility for UGC-NET June 2013:
Eligibility criteria for appearing in UGC NET (qualification & age criteria) are as follows:

1.0 Educational Qualification criteria:

You need to be a M.Sc. or Equivalent degree in in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates. If you are a Ph.D. degree holder, having passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991, you are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.

If you are studying in the final year/semester of M.Sc. or Equivalent degree in above subjects or have appeared in the final exams already and waiting for results, you can appear in the NET conditionally under RA (Result Awaited) category.

2.3 Age limit: (as on 01-06-2013)
For Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET: Max. 28 years

(Upper age limit relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).

For Lectureship LS (NET): No upper age limit.

Above eligibility means if you are 28 years or less on 01-06-2013, you can apply for both Lectureship as well as for JRF while if you are more than 28, you can apply only for Lectureship.

UGC NET June 2013 Online Form:
You can apply for the UGC NET exam only Online.
UGC NET June 2013 application fee is: GEN: Rs. 450/=, OBC: Rs. 225/=, all others: Rs.110/=.

First: BSNL TTA exam pattern:

BSNL TTA selection process consists of a written exam, followed by a medical test. What is the pattern of the written exam of BSNL TTA exam? Following tells you about it, along with the mark distribution of papers of BSNL TTA exam.

BSNL TTA written exam for Telecom Circle (as given in the notification) has three papers, in each of which you need to score minimum qualifying marks:

Paper I : General ability test 20 Marks

Paper II : Basic Engineering 90 Marks

Paper III : Specialization 90 Marks.

This 200 marks question paper has to be answered in 3 hours. Each question weighs 1 mark. There is negative marking in BSNL TTA exam - 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. So be wary of making guess answers!

BSNL TTA exam Cut-Off:

Minimum cut-off for each paper of BSNL TTA Exam:

30% (i.e. 6, 27 & 27 marks) for General (OC) category & 20% (i.e. 4, 18 & 18 marks) for reserved category (OBC/SC/ST).

Minimum cut-off for all paper combined of BSNL TTA Exam:

40% (i.e. 80 marks) for General (OC) category & 33% (i.e. 66 marks) for reserved category (OBC/SC/ST).

BSNL TTA exam pattern of some other Telecom circles:

There are some BSNL Telecom Circles, in which the weightage of paper is as below:

Paper I : General ability test 100 Marks (2 hours duration)

Paper II : Basic Engineering 500 Marks (3 hours duration)

Paper III : Specialization 500 Marks (3 hours duration)

This is because, BSNL TTA exams are not held centrally by BSNL. The exam is decentralized individually and is held by twenty-four BSNL telecom circles.

And irrespective of this minor difference in BSNL TTA exam patterns, I found that syllabus of BSNL TTA exams are almost universal and hence is reproduced below (which is available from page: 7 to 9 of the notification).

Syllabus of BSNL TTA exams:

BSNL TTA exam syllabus is as follows:

Paper I: General ability test.

The candidate’s comprehension and understanding of General English shall be tested through simple exercise such as provision of antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks and multiple-choice exercises etc. This shall also include questions on current events, general knowledge and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of Diploma holder.

Paper II: Basic Engineering.

1. Applied Mathematics : Co-ordinate Geometry; Vector Algebras, Matrix and Determinant ; Differential calculus ; Integral calculus, Differential equation of second order; Fourier Series; Laplace Transform; Complex Number; Partial Differentiation.

2. Applied Physics : Measurement-Units and Dimensions; Waves, Acoustics, Ultrasonic; Light; Laser and its Applications; Atomic Structure and Energy Levels.

3. Basic Electricity : Electrostatics, coulomb’s law, Electric field, Gauss’s theorem, concept of potential difference; concept of capacitance and capacitors; Ohm ‘s law, power energy, Kirchoff’s voltage and current laws and their applications in simple DC circuits; Basic Magnetism; Electro Magnetism; Electromagnetic induction; Concept of alternating voltage & current; cells and Batteries ; Voltage and Current Sources; Thevenin’s theorem, Norton’s theorem and their applications.

4. Eletronics Devices and Circuits : Classification of materials into conductor ,semi conductor, insulator etc. electrical properties, magnetic materials, various types of relays, switches and connectors. Conventional representation of electric and electronic circuit elements. Active and Passive components; semi conductors Physics; Semi Conductor Diode; Bipolar Transistor & their circuits; Transistor Biasing & Stabilization of operating point; Single stage transistor amplifier; field effect transistor, Mosfet circuit applications.

Section D : Instruments and Measurements :

Specification of instruments-accuracy, precision, sensitivity, resolution range. Error in measurement and loading effect; Principles of voltage, current and resistance measurement; Transducers, measurement of displacement & strain, force & torque measuring devices, flow of measuring devices, power control devices & circuits. Types of AC milli voltmeters-Amplifier rectifier amplifier: Block diagram explanation of a basic CRO and a triggered sweep oscilloscope, front panel controls; Impedance Bridges and Q-Meters.

Principles of working and specification of logic probes, signal analyzer and logic analyzer, signal generator, distortion factor meter, spectrum analyzer.

Section E : Control Systems :

Section F : Microprocessors :

Odisha Gramya Bank, a Regional Rural Bank (RRB) sponsored by Indian Overseas Bank, has yesterday issued Recruitment Notification 2013 for vacancies of 108 Officers & 193 Bank Clerks (Office Assistants) which will be based on IBPS CWE RRB 2012. As per the Odisha Gramya Bank Recruitment 2013 Notification, Online submission of form has started from 12th April and the last date for submission of form is 20th April, 2013.

Selection will be made on the basis of TWSS (Total Weighted Standard Scores) in IBPS CWE (RRB) 2012 (conducted in September 2012) and Personal Interview. Odisha Gramya Bank Interview consists of 30 marks. Minimum cut-off mark for Odisha Gramya Bank is 12 (10.50 for SC/ST/PWD/OBC/EXSM).
