My fall was great and busy and wonderfully full of awesome clients.  Some photos are posted on my facebook page.

My Christmas break was phenomenal.  Photos from that are posted on my personal facebook page.

January trip to Atlanta for Imaging was incredible.  I got to see my merit prints in the Expo.  I met some amazingly talented photographers from around the country.  I got to sit in classes and learn.  My gear wishlist grew….

February brought print competition headaches.  I ended up choosing NOT to enter because my personal life was so busy that I wasn’t able to dedicate the time I needed in preparing my entries (meaning I have this awesome idea that I want to do but I still have not figured out exactly how to execute it).

March.  I don’t remember much of March.  Family life.  Robotics competitions.  Yearbook work.  Sessions.  Baseball.  Softball.  Maybe that’s why I don’t remember much of March.

April has been fun with sessions and starting back up with all the business work.   My May is looking to be full already.

I’m blessed.  I’m thankful.  I’m sorry I neglected this blog.

Really, honestly, how hard can it be?

Yeah, at first glance it looks okay.  But notice, NONE of the kids are smiling, well I’ll take the almost 14 year old’s “smile” as that is as good as it gets, but the girls?  Not so much.  It’s not 100% in focus (I forgot my tripod for this so Mom may have shifted a little, or we did…or something and I forgot to explain HOW to focus the camera to her).  This was the best of the bunch too.  In a few of the images, I had grimaces.  I had scowls.  I had nose picking.

::sigh::

My one desire from our trip was a good family photo to go above my mantel that included all 4 kids.  I’m trying to decide if I just use this one for the memories I have when I see it or try again next year when the leaves are decent again and I can actually hire a photographer to actually take them.  Yes, indeed, I should NOT have tried them on my own.

The sweetest group of sisters I’ve had in a LONG time!  <3 them!

Remember me talking about how Mom wanted a shot of the youngest to match the other two images she had of the sisters?  I got it, then because the little one was in a good mood I got some extras for Mom?  This was one.  All 3…looking, together, and smiling.

I will admit it, they were laughing and entranced by their Dad’s antics.  At least I didn’t have to sing for them.  ;)  Or maybe that is why their Daddy was acting silly for them, fear of me singing?

This little girl’s Mommy had ONE request for the ENTIRE baby plan – a photo of her little one at 1 year old standing/walking/upright outdoors to match the ones she has of the first two girls.

I think I got it.  Honestly, it wasn’t hard with a subject as cute as this!  ;)

I even have quite a few “extras” in case she wants a different background.  Why?  Because this little one was so cooperative, and sweet, and beautiful.    Which may be because she has an awesome Mommy who told me, “She takes a nap at 9AM, can we do 8AM to instead?”

I listen to my client’s, especially when it comes to their baby’s schedule.  We got her images of her little one standing up, quite a few extras, and then the session came to a halt.

Yes, indeed it was nap time, and she let me know that she was done.  *side note, she had JUST sat down and JUST started crying.  We ended the session there and let her be cuddled by Daddy and start falling asleep.  I mean, could you just stand there and NOT pick her up?  No, I couldn’t have.  Little sweetness was so ready for snuggles and cuddles.*

Yes, I think I could have spent days photographing this little one.  So sweet!

Loving this crop, this image, these smiles…and I do love these kids!  :)  I was excited not only to spend time with them, but the outfit choices?  Adore….

I LOVE this image of these 3 siblings…and I love the interaction that happened right before and after that you don’t see here.  Definitely siblings….with a little brother.

But these girls absolutely stole my heart with their politeness, their interests, their willingness to do things I asked of them….and seriously, I could have spent an even LONGER time photographing their family.  

But some of the family was getting a little hungry.  ;)  I mean, we were only approaching 2 hours after their normal dinner time.  I loved getting to photograph their ENTIRE family (and yes, their immediate family, their grandparents, AND their cousin’s family).

Do you see it?  Do you see the missing tooth and the LOOSE tooth?!  Yes indeed…and he wiggled that baby tooth a LOT, so much so I was worried it was going to fall out in the middle of our session.

This little girl LOVES her Daddy, almost as much as he loves her.  :)
