Thank you for stopping by my severely neglected blog for this fun little contest! I wanted to do something fun with you to celebrate the birth of my new baby girl, and since I am not having a baby shower, why not play a little game here? (click on the image to enlarge)

Be sure to include your email address when you comment on this blog so I can contact you to let you know you have won!!!

Please note there is only one entry allowed per client/family. Closest guess to baby's birth weight without going over will win. In the event of a tie, the first client to have commented with the correct birth weight will be considered the winner. All comments/guesses must be submitted to this blog (NOT to Facebook) by March 11th at 11pm MST. Comments left after that time will be considered invalid.

This contest is open to all Edmonton & Area clients (new and repeat), and/or to anyone who is willing to travel to Edmonton & Area after June of this year for a session. :)

The "M" Family

I love every opportunity I get to spend with the "M" family. Because I have two girls, I find it so much fun to get down and dirty and wild with three boys. And of course, I adore Mom and Dad as well. :) This time, we went to the Devonian Botanical Gardens for pictures. It is such a beautiful place to get outside and run around.

Mom and Dad brought Grandma to watch the kids so that I could get a few pictures of just the two of them. Great idea guys!

The oldest...just 6 days younger than my oldest. He is getting more and more fun every time I see him.

And the middle dude. He couldn't be any sweeter.

I met this lovely family at the Hotel MacDonald for their photo session. While the session was mostly for Mom, I did get some of Dad and their son "C" while Mom was getting ready. :)

So handsome.

Mr. "C" loved bouncing on the bed, and I loved capturing him mid-air.

Then it was time for Mom's maternity pictures. Isn't she stunning???

This lady is such a sweet heart, and one on my first clients! I love it when she phones for another session. :)

Mr. & Mrs. "P" - A wedding blessing

Mr. & Mrs. "P" were married in Jamaica earlier this year. Today is their wedding blessing celebration in Leduc. I am so fortunate to be able to photograph their special day (even if the weather isn't as nice as we had hoped).

They had a special tattoo in honour of their love. I think it is really neat. :)

Everyone say "Hi" to the "P" family. These great friends of mine are a blast to hang out with, whether for a photo session or just a play date. Mrs. P and I used to work together, so anytime we get together, we have tons to talk about. :) Today, I met them at Millenium Park in Sherwood Park. It was a bit windy, and it sprinkled off and on, but I think we got some great images, regardless of what the weather did.

I thought this was so pretty.

And this was hilarious. Older daughters have a way of stealing the spotlight. In this case, Miss "M" didn't want to line up for a family picture. Instead, opting to stand to the side with her arms defiantly crossed. Priceless picture. :)

The "P" Family

Spring is in the air. The leaf buds are starting to fill out with their brilliant spring green foliage, the geese are back, and the weather is finally getting warm...er. I met this adorable family at the park by Kinsmen Recreation Center this afternoon and had a good time walking around .

I can't believe this little bean is 6 months old already. How quickly they change, and oh how I do so enjoy taking pictures of those changes.

There is something about photographing a new baby that makes my heart skip a beat. Their soft skin, downy hair, little noises...hmmm....this mommy loves little babies. Today I got to play with another sweet little girl who, at one month old, had an amazing smile.

Nothing makes me happier than to have the opportunity to photograph babies as they grow up. I met sweet little "K" last spring when she was brand new, and again in the fall when we did some family pictures. You can see her newborn session here, and the fall family session here.

I now have the absolute pleasure of photographing her as she turns 1 year old.

Moving the Edmonton Queen: K&C Oilfield Hauling

What an amazing day! I had the absolute pleasure of being asked to photograph K&C Oilfield Hauling as they towed the Edmonton Queen River Boat onto shore for its' 5 year hull inspection. Enjoy these images...

And, being the nerd that I am, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have my husband snap a quick picture of me in my full "Safety" get-up. From hard hat, to steel-toed boots...

Spending Time With The "P" Family

I met the "P" family almost a year ago when my oldest daughter was enrolled in gymnastics with their daughter. Mrs. "P" and I would sit and talk and laugh at the girls having fun. When they welcomed their son into the family, she asked me to come take pictures. Somehow, we lost track of time for a few months. Mr. "C" is now four months old, and I think that we caught some awesome personality shots of him (and his big sister). Enjoy.

Oh my gosh these little boys were so cute! I spent a few hours this morning with them in their home, and totally loved every boy-filled second of it. :) Meet big brother "G" and little brother "C", two absolutely precious, beautiful blue-eyed boys.

"M" & "T" - Country Lovebirds

I have wanted to do a snowy engagement session in ages...and I was so thrilled when M & T asked me to go play in the snow with them. These two have so much fun together, and are so clearly in love with each other, animals, and their country life. :)

One of my favorites. :)

This picture is amazing to me. We were on a bridge, completely exposed to the wind off of the nearby river. It was the coldest part of the session, and yet these two stood on the bridge canoodling away as if it weren't cold at all. :)

I love how the snow is dusting M's hair. :)

Thank you for a fun morning, and for helping me fulfil one of my photographic dreams...shooting in the snow. :)

I am so thankful. I love what I do. To be able to meet families, play with kids, celebrate weddings and snuggle babies...what better job is there? (aside from being a wife and mommy to my own family). This little sweet pea just bloomed off of one of the branches of the "S" family. She is perfect. Absolutely perfect. I felt so lucky to get some baby snuggles with her today. :)

Getting cuddly with big sister "I". I shot big sister's newborn pictures too. I didn't see it at first, but now that I have done the editing and really had a close look...oh ya... there is no question that they are sisters. :)

Love you guys! Enjoy having two girls. Speaking from experience, it is something that I wouldn't trade for anything. :)
