The time has come to up grade the academy with new mats and changing rooms just to name a few of the new improvements to be carried out. The Carlson Gracie Team Academy in Australia is growing so fast that these upgrades are needed to keep up with the growing demand. A full list of improvements will be up at the academy for you to look at. These will include, male and female change rooms with showers, private matted area for one on one lessons and a fully revised timetable with nearly double the amount of current classes available.

Work will be carried out over several months as there is some major construction to be done but once it is all complete we will have a great new facility.

I have a late congratulations to “Dancing” Dave B. for being awarded the rank on Blue belt on 1st June also on the completion of his Carlson Gracie Australia documentary.

I have had a busy schedule lately with one thing and another to which I had to cancel my Brazil trip this year to the Mundial. I have to now be on Guam to corner a guy fighting for Australia in an up coming MMA show. While on Guam I will be conducting a seminar along with my instructor Carlson Gracie Jr. The academy will be running as normal while I am over seas with the exception of the MMA class which will be canceled for the duration of my travels.

Some of the team competed in Jiu-Jitsu super fights held in a ring last month with us winning all but one match. The Carlson Gracie Team were up against fighters from Nova Uniao and Machado, with all our matches finished by submission. So well done to the guys for stepping up.

With the recent release of “Masters of Grappling 2” DVD which I demonstrated some techniques in Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu we have had some great reviews on our segment of the DVD, one of which came from the producer:

Ben Hall has presented by far one of the best segments we have ever received. His presentation was excellent, his instruction was very clear and thorough, and overall he demonstrated a well thought out and highly technical segment on Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

I would have no hesitation on featuring Ben again in the Masters of Grappling DVD series, and would also recommend him as an instructor to any of those who have access to his schools.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Ta’kody

Producer: Masters of Grappling DVD series.

All keep training hard and I will see you on my return in a few weeks.

Ben Hall
