How to leverage the tools of 21st century technology and social networking to keep your business viable is a topic I've written about now and then on my personal blog.

Recently I've discussed this concept with people as diverse as a small business owner and an employee of the Veteran's Administration. Everyone I've talked to has made the same two comments at some point in our discussion; home and small business owners need to have a resource that can help them employ the Internet and social networking opportunities to their benefit, and someone like myself, with over 20 years experience in retail management and an early adopter of online social networks, ought to be consulting with them and teaching them how to improve communications with both their employees and their customers.

My goal with this site is to offer best practices and suggestions for incorporating 21st century technology like blogs, Twitter, Google+, Facebook and Yelp into your business philosophy. I plan on showing you how, with little to no cost, you can replace traditional and ineffective broadcasting tools such as phone book listings and Sunday newspaper inserts with the means to crate a dialogue with your customers and employees.

I hope you are able to use some of the knowledge I've amassed over my career in retail management and on the Internet.
