Being able to replicate art it seems, is not only profitable in selling high

priced paintings. Abdul Karim Telgi of India had mastered the art of forgery

in printing duplicate Indian stamp papers then selling them to banks. He had

penetrated 12 states before he was caught and had earned money to the tune

of several billion US dollars!

Did you know that the city of Carmel, founded in 1602 by Spanish explorer Carmelite Friar Sebastian Vizcaino, was named for the patron saint Our Lady of Mount Carmel?

The Mission San Carlos Boromeo was only the second mission to be established there in June of 1770. This was also the home of Father Junípero Serra, the first President and founder of the earlier Missions. He is buried there.
