<h2><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">What is the best diet for weight loss?</span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">Nowadays we are bombarded in the media with crash diets of &#8220;Lose 10lbs in 10 days&#8221;.  If that was all we needed, obesity would not be on the increase at such an alarming rate! </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">Weight loss and successul weight management can only happen if the issues that led to weight gain are resolved in a number of key areas.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> Firstly, the emotional aspect of eating needs to be addressed &#8211; i.e. what triggers the individual to overeat in the first place.  Once that has been uncovered and addressed, then the next step is to get the correct balance of foods, in the correct amounts, at the correct time of the day.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">There is no one diet that will suit every person, that is why when I wanted to lose my own weight (prior to me training as a dietician) I found that the conventional route of a group program, such as Weight Watchers or Unislim just didn&#8217;t work for me. My interest in weight loss grew and so I began training as a Dietitian. I then sucessfully lost three stone by designing my own personalised weight loss plan.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">The key to successful weight loss lies in balancing a higher amount of protein, with the correct amount of carbohydrates, and (for an adult) combining that with a low fat diet.  The person&#8217;s age, height, hormones, metabolic rate and lifestyle all need to be considered when personalising a weight loss program.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">Protein is a fundamental part of successful weight loss. It is the building block of your metabolism and is also essential to maintain good your overall good health.  Low fat sources are best such as poultry, lean red meat or shellfish.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">So, if you want to shape up for summer why not get started today on making some small changes in your diet. Remember, eating just ONE less slice of bread per day would result in a weight loss of 9lbs in a year - now that&#8217;s an easy change to start on !!</span></p>
