Flash Back Part 16

Sorry guys for not updating you for a week... It just happened that I’ve got sick =’(

Thank God I’m better now...

So let’s continue, at the end of my last flash back, I told you guys that Chad’s Family already knew about our relationship and thank God because they accepted for who I am. They didn’t judge me for what kind of girl I am besides the fact that I stalked away from my family.

And like any relationship we’ve been through in different situations and trials. One of these was about Chad’s Uncle and Auntie. There were times that I became jobless so for us to have money. Chad and I were the one who will help his mother in washing their clothes and then his mother will pay us so that we can have a source of income.

That’s the time when I started to join a networking business. It’s an international networking business which is known as DXN or Daxen International Inc. I’ve got the first managerial position... Well it’s a good networking and it’s not pyramiding. I enjoyed this networking so much, I became a leader and had a chance to lead a large group of people who were older than me and yet they respect me so much... I earned money from this career... I recruited my close friends because I really want to help them to lift up from poverty but of course not all people can be rich in joining a networking business and that’s what happened to me... I was not successful with this path and it really is hard for me to see that I became a failure and my friends also failed to reach their dreams in doing this networking business. It really breaks my heart... I thought that it was my entire fault that’s why my friends failed too... But my real friends really understood my situation... They never blamed me for their failure in that networking business that we’ve shared...

So let’s go back with Chad’s uncle... He started to get jealous because he is complaining that he is the one who cooks food for us and he wanted also to get paid by Chad’s mother... But Chad’s mother explained to his older brother that she was just helping us to earn a little amount of money... The next issue was Chad’s Auntie... from the very first time I met her... I can really feel that she didn’t like me... I can see it the way she looks at me and talks to me... It’s really hard for me because I’m just living with Chad’s Family so I’m the one who just need to adjust...for them... I always cried that time... It came also to a point where in I want to live on my own... But Chad won’t allow that to happen... Chad’s mother was very kind...She always talked to me about her sister and brother just to tell me that it doesn’t mean that they don’t like me at all... And I understand what she’s trying to say... And then it came to a point that I felt so hopeless because I really want to finish my studies... but it’s been 2 years that time... I was working in a call center company for almost a year... I can feel that I’m getting older and I don’t have a chance to finish my studies... I cried every time I think that I cannot get back to school... I felt tired working and working and working for the past year... But God is so good because I never expect to...

Flash Back Part 15

Hi guys... how are you?... I just want to say sorry to all my followers in different countries for waiting so long about my blog updates. It’s just happened that a lot of things came into my life in 3 years ^^... Not all good and of course not all bad ^^.

So the last details of my last flash back was the 1^st night that Chad and I will be sleeping together “ Alone” what I mean is just the two of us. At 1^st of course I was afraid because I was only 18 years old by that time and He was already 25 years old. A lot of thoughts were running in my mind like what if he takes advantage of me… What if he rapes me... Then here it is… he prepared our sleeping area, we will be sleeping on one bed... What?????? I never slept with a guy on the same bed... But of course I have no choice. We began to lay down our bed… my heart beats faster and faster and still I’m waiting what will happen next… He starts to turn off the lights in our condo and that made me feel uncomfortable... But after hours passed... I noticed that he already fell asleep… hahaaha… Thank God, by that time I realized that he was not the kind of guy I was thinking of. He is very kind, a gentleman, God-fearing, very sweet and It means that he is the ideal man for every girl in this world...

After a month of staying in his condo... many things happened... I found a job as a sales clerk in Luggage Department in one of popular malls here in the Philippines. When I already got the job...that’s also the time I informed my family where I am exactly staying here in Manila. They seemed to understand my decision why I stalk way... I send money to them every pay day...

Then one night when Chad and I were lying on our bed alone again... He just starts calling my name as if he wants to tell something to me... I cannot forget how he was say something to me... here is the conversation.

Chad: Carmela...

Me: Yes kuya? (kuya means older brother and that’s what I call him) what is it?

Chad: ahmm nothing just forget about it...

Me: No... what is it? I know you have something to tell me...

Chad: no it’s nothing promise...

Me: I can feel it... you have something to tell me but you’re hesitating... C’mon tell me... It’s fine swear!

Chad: Can I court you? Because I love you!

Of course by that time I was very shock... I don’t know how I will react because It’s been 3 months only since my ex boyfriend and I broke up... The pain is still there... But Chad told me that he is willing to wait until my heart will be ready again to fall in love. He did everything for me just to prove that he is sincere in what he truly feels for me. At first his family doesn’t know that he is courting me. Of course I’m in the situation of moving on that time and at the same time ...I’m thinking that if ever we became in a relationship... I think that’s not a good idea because 1^st reason is he came from a rich family unlike me... I’m just a poor girl... He and his siblings studies in a very high end schools but me?? Instead of finishing my college, I have to work just to earn money for my family... It’s like a fairy tale story or a movie... Ours status in life is like heaven and earth apart... But still he proves to me that he is not the kind of guy that I am thinking of... He told me that his family will accept me as who I am...

After some time because of his sincerity I gave Chad my sweet “ YES” ^^ but at first we need to hide our relationship to his family because I’m not yet ready about their reactions regarding our relationship... I still have doubts if his family will accept me and our relationship... and if his family will still allow me to stay in the condo with him after they knew that we have relationship...

But the 1^st person who knew about our relationship is his youngest brother Beni who stayed with us in the condo. Of course he can easily suspect that we are hiding something because he is the one na lagi nming nkakasama. That’s why we told him already about our relationship... and thanks God he is not against our relationship...

So this is it. It’s really hard to pretend that he is still my older brother when his mother is with us... We cannot hold hands...it was very uncomfortable... There are times that muntik na kaming mabuking...

Then one day Chad came into our condo ... He visited her mother’s house and told her about our relationship... And...

Flash Back Part 14

And I was shocked because that was the time I knew Chad had not told his mother about my situation. So I started thinking, what if his mother did not agree for my staying there? Where will I go? What will happen to me next? How will I live by myself? What about my family? How will I fulfil my dreams? And I did not notice that tears were running down my face. I did not know what to do so I prayed hard and asked guidance from God because I do believe He is always watching me.

Chad told me that I have nothing to worry about because his mother will understand my situation. I did not notice that I fell asleep while thinking about my situation. I woke up due to a knock at the door, I got up and opened it. I saw a guy taller than Chad, I assumed that is Chad’s older brother and I was right that was Chad’s brother but the youngest hehehe..

Then I wondered where their mother was so I asked Chad himself. He told me that his mom just went to visit their sister in another condo unit at the nearby tower. She will soon come to our unit Chad added. A few minutes later the door opened and a girl at her mid 50’s entered the room. She was wearing office attire with a shoulder bag. Her face looks so kind and cheerful. She looked at me and smiled. My heart beats faster while I smiled back at her; I knew that it was Chad’s mother. Chad introduced her mom and I explain my situation and I was wrong because Tita Noli ( Chad’s mom) is very kind. I felt her willingness to help me. She accepted me sincerely without judging me.

That was our first meeting and our first dinner together. Atlas I felt alright and after a few hours, Chad’s sister came to our unit together with her friends. Tita Noli introduced them to me. They are so beautiful but humble. They are Lasalistas and when I knew that I was very amazed because that is my dream school and I know that I cannot afford to go there because that is a school for rich people. I hope someday I can enrol there.

After our dinner, Tita Noli and Beni (Chad’s younger brother) said farewell to us. I never expected that they will not sleep at the condo. It means Chad and I will be left at the condo just the two of us..

Section 4: What Is Said: Actual Verbal Content

• He will use your words to make his point. When asked, “Did you cheat on me?” The liar answers, “No, I didn’t cheat on you.” In addition, when a suspect uses a contraction – “It wasn’t me” instead of “It was not me” – statistically, there is a 60% chance he is truthful.

• He may stonewall, giving an impression that his mind is made up. This is often an attempt to limit your challenges to his position. If someone says right up front that he positively won’tn budge, it means one thing: He knows he can be swayed. He needs to tell you this so you won’t ask, because he knows he’ll cave in. The confident person will use phrases like “I’m sorry, this is pretty much the best we can do.”

• Watch out for the good old Freudian slip.

• He depersonalizes his answer by offering his belief on the subject instead of answering directly. A liar offers abstract assurances as evidence of his innocence in a specific instance.

Example: “Did you ever cheat on me?” and you hear, “You know I’m against that sort of thing. I think it morally reprehensible.”

• He will keep adding more information until he’s sure that he has sold you on his story. The guilty are uncomfortable with silence. He speaks to fill the gap left by the silence.

• He may imply an answer but never state it directly.

Friday the 13th, 'the most widespread superstition'

The sixth day of the week and the number 13 both have foreboding reputations said to date from ancient times, and their inevitable conjunction from one to three times a year (there happens to be only one such occurrence in 2010, in the month of August) portends more misfortune than some credulous minds can bear. According to some sources it's the most widespread superstition in the United States today. Some people refuse to go to work on Friday the 13th; some won't eat in restaurants; many wouldn't think of setting a wedding on the date.

How many Americans at the beginning of the 21st century suffer from this condition? According to Dr. Donald Dossey, a psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of phobias (and coiner of the term paraskevidekatriaphobia, also spelled paraskavedekatriaphobia), the figure may be as high as 21 million. If he's right, no fewer than eight percent of Americans remain in the grips of a very old superstition.

Exactly how old is difficult to say, because determining the origins of superstitions is an inexact science, at best. In fact, it's mostly guesswork.

LEGEND HAS IT: If 13 people sit down to dinner together, one will die within the year. The Turks so disliked the number 13 that it was practically expunged from their vocabulary (Brewer, 1894). Many cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue. Many buildings don't have a 13th floor. If you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck (Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy and Albert De Salvo all have 13 letters in their names). There are 13 witches in a coven.

The Devil's Dozen

Although no one can say for sure when and why human beings first associated the number 13 with misfortune, the superstition is assumed to be quite old, and there exist any number of theories — most of which deserve to be treated with a healthy skepticism, please note — purporting to trace its origins to antiquity and beyond.

It has been proposed, for example, that fears surrounding the number 13 are as ancient as the act of counting. Primitive man had only his 10 fingers and two feet to represent units, this explanation goes, so he could count no higher than 12. What lay beyond that — 13 — was an impenetrable mystery to our prehistoric forebears, hence an object of superstition.

Which has an edifying ring to it, but one is left wondering: did primitive man not have toes?

Flash Back Part 13

I found out that... Jeff’s auntie was married to a man who lived in our Baranggay, she started to ask my full name and my father’s full name. I did not know how to react because I knew that she will ask his husband about my father and there is a chance that I will be traced by my parents through them. From the start I knew that they did not like the idea of me staying there. I came to a decision to ask again the help of my other clan mates. I sent a group messages to my clan and waited for their reply. Many of them tried to convince me to go home but I did not want that and finally someone offered me to stay at their condo.

Chad offered me to stay with him, that time I can feel his sincerity to help me. Jeff did not like the idea of me staying with Chad because I know he is just being protective to me. Although Chad is a nice person, he is still a guy who I do not know personally that is what Jeff is saying. But since I did not want to be traced by my parents I decided to accept Chad’s offer. So Jeff and I left Antipolo and we asked Chad if how we can go to his place. Hahaha...that time I have no idea about condominiums all I know about it was the whole building was rented by one person, only one person lives there sounds stupid right? Hehehe..

And then we started our travel, from Antipolo going to City Land Towers Vito Cruz it was a very long journey. I was very tired that time, we rode in different jeepneys and busses while we were traveling I was very nervous because I did not know what will be the reactions of Chad’s family when they finally meet me. I was very afraid to be rejected again and I did not know where to stay if that will happen to me. At last we arrived and I do not know how to react when I saw Chad for the second time around hehehe.. I felt so ugly that time, very haggard and dirty that is why I was so ashamed when I saw him. He just smiled at us and asked us to follow him to his condominium unit; he was in a hurry that time because he had an important event that he needed to attend. That was my first time to saw a condominium unit hahaha I was very excited and that time I found out that I was wrong. Condominiums were rented by different people. When we were already inside his unit, Chad did not talk too much he needed to leave the condo because it was his grandfather’s birthday. Jeff and Chad decided to leave the condo but before Jeff left me, he gave me P500 so that I could buy some of my personal needs. I was very impressed of what Jeff did for me from the start that I met him. I really appreciate all the good things he did for me. Then they left me alone in the condo. At that time I decided to take a bath and clean myself. After that I texted Chad that I was very thankful for his willingness to help me and he told me that it was alright as long as he can help someone he will sincerely do that. As we were texting each other I asked him if what is the reaction of his mother when he told her that someone will be staying at his condominium. And I was shocked because..

Story about a Fly or "Breakthrough"

There was a fly trapped inside a room. In that room the windows were made of glass. The fly saw this and he hurried to the glass window thinking he could escape the room that way. What happened was that he slammed himself into the glass and did this over and over again. After some quite time of slamming himself to the glass he finally died and he was not able to come out of the room. Little did the fly know that if only he widened his view at the corner of that glass window was a crack which he can escape to. If you will look at it so many people are looking for work that will give them just P 10,000 pesos or $220 dollars per month and even after they work for 15 years there the pay will still remain the same. But if only we widen our view we will see DXN as an opportunity to escape a life of poverty. There is a possibility that you will earn P100,000, P200,000 and even P300,000 a month. So all you need to do is widen your view and for sure you will make a breakthrough.

Adolf Hitler becomes leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party.

The National Socialist German Workers' Party, commonly known in English as the Nazi Party was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers' Party (DAP) prior to a change of name in 1920.

The party's last leader, Adolf Hitler, was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. Hitler rapidly established a totalitarian regime known as the Third Reich.

Nazi ideology stressed the failures of communism, liberalism, and democracy, and supported the "racial purity of the German people" and that of other Northwestern Europeans. The Nazis persecuted those they perceived as either race enemies or Lebensunwertes Leben, that is "life unworthy of living". This included Jews, Slavs, Roma, and so-called "Mischlinge" along with Communists, homosexuals, the mentally and physically disabled, and others.

The persecution reached its climax when the party and the German state which it controlled organized the systematic murder of approximately six million Jews and six million other people from the other targeted groups, in what has become known as the Holocaust. Hitler's desire to build a German empire through expansionist policies led to the outbreak of World War II in Europe.

Flash Back Part 12

Then after his work HE WAS SURPRISED. Jeff told me that we were going to his aunties’ place because that is where I could stay. From Cubao we went to Antipolo Rizal which was very far because from Cubao it will take you 30 km away to get to Antipolo Rizal. We left Cubao at 9:00 am in the morning and I did not eat anything when I left Marks’ boarding house that is why I felt very hungry. I was so tired during our trip but I did not feel it because my mind was busy thinking of many things like what will be the reactions of Jeff’s when we meet her. Jeff told me that we were going to pretend to be lovers so that his auntie will allow me to stay at their house. Even though I did not like the idea because I was traumatised of what had happened to me and Mark (we pretended as cousins), hello? Here I am again pretending to be someone’s girl friend just to have a place to stay. That time I was fed up being a pretender but I had no choice that is why I agreed to Jeff’s plan.

Atlast we arrived at Antipolo but the sun is directly above us so I felt the heat coming from it. Jeff forgot the exact place of his auntie so we needed to look for it. I did not expect that Antipolo was not that urbanized and it is very far away. While we were looking for the house, we needed to climb a very steep place just like a little mountain. That time I did not know how to climb that steep place because I was wearing a stiletto and holding some of my stuffs. I was getting pinkish because of the heat of the sun which showed the Meztisa in me. I was so sweaty and very hungry but I needed to do this because I don’t have a place to stay. Just as we were nearing the top of the place, Jeff suddenly remembered that It was not there. So we needed to climb down again after a long time of climbing. Oh my Goodness!! I felt so exhausted I wanted to cry.

At last we arrived at his aunts’ house and I felt so nervous that time. We proceeded to our plan, we pretended to be lovers but I saw that the reactions of Jeff’s Aunt and his other relatives were not good. They thought that I was pregnant and Jeff was the father of my child. I explained to them everything but I saw the anger from their faces. But of course I understand their situation then suddenly when everything is going smoothly, I found out that..

Section 2: Emotional States: Consistency and Contradiction

• The timing is off between gestures and words. If the facial expression comes after the verbal statement (“I am so angry with you right now” … pause … and then the angry expression), it looks false.

• The head moves in a mechanical fashion without regard to emphasis, indicating a conscious movement.

• Gestures don’t match the verbal message, such as frowning when saying “I love you.” Hands
tightly clenched and a statement of pleasure are not in sync with each other.

• The timing and duration of emotional gestures will seem off. The emotion is delayed coming on, stays longer than it should, and fades out abruptly.

• Expression will be limited to the mouth area when the person is feigning certain emotions – happiness, surprise, awe, and so on – rather than the whole face.

• He is reluctant to face his accuser and may turn his head or shift his body away.

• The person who is lying will probably slouch; he is unlikely to stand tall with his arms out or
outstretched.

• There’s movement away from his accuser, possibly in the direction of the exit.

• There will be little or no physical contact during his attempt to convince you.

• He will not point his finger at the person he is trying to convince.

• He may place physical objects (pillow, drinking glass, et cetera) between himself and his accuser to form a barrier, with a verbal equivalent of “I don’t want to talk about it,” indicating deception or covert intention.

In an ideal society there would be no need for lies. But we live in a world of deception. And whether you want to play or not, you’re in the game. The question is, do you want to win?

I. Signs of Deception

Once you realize that you’re being lied to, should you confront the liar immediately? Usually not. The best approach is to note the fact in your mind and continue with the conversation, trying to extract more information. Once you confront someone who has lied to you, the tone of the conversation changes and gathering additional facts becomes difficult. Therefore, wait until you have all the evidence you want and then decide whether to confront the person at that time or hold off to figure how you can best use this insight to your advantage.

Section 1: Body Language

• The person will make little or no eye contact. A person who is lying to you will do everything to avoid making eye contact.

• Physical expression will be limited, with few arm and hand movements. What arm and hand movements are present will seem stiff, and mechanical. Hands, arm and legs pull in toward the body; the individual takes up less space.

• His hand(s) may go up to his face or throat, especially to the mouth. But contact with his body is limited to these areas. He is also unlikely to touch his chest with an open hand gesture. He may also touch the nose or scratch behind the ear.

• If he is trying to appear casual and relaxed about his answer, he may shrug a little.

The attack during the last week of July, 1943, Operation Gomorrah, created one of the greatest firestorms raised by the RAF and United States Army Air Force in WWII, killing roughly 50,000 civilians in Hamburg and practically destroying the entire city. The unusually warm weather and good conditions meant that the bombing was unusually concentrated around the intended targets and also created a vortex and whirling updraft of super-heated air which created a 1,500-foot-high tornado of fire, a totally unexpected effect. Various other previously used techniques and devices were instrumental as well, such as (area bombing),(Pathfinders), and (H2S radar) which came together to work particularly effectively. 'Window' was successfully used for the first time - clouds of shredded tinfoil dropped by pathfinders as well as the initial bomber stream - in order to completely cloud German radar.

Flashback Part 11

Lea kept on breaking her stuff as Mark got up from his bed and then asked Lea if what is wrong with her. Lea started to cry and shout, I did not know what to react. She said that Mark is an asshole, liar and a user. Mark ignored all that she said about him and just prepared himself for work. He said goodbye to me and tell me that I should just ignore Lea because she could not accept the truth that she is not the one that he loves. When Mark lefts the boarding house, Lea kept on crying while looking at me. I did not know what to do because I thought last night that we already settled things... But I was wrong.

That time I was very ashamed of myself because Lea decided to just leave the boarding house to forget Mark and let him love me. I felt pity for her; she did not need to go away... it is me who ruined their situation. That is why I came to a decision that I should be the one to go even though I had no place to stay. I told Lea that I will look for a new place where I can live peacefully and I told her that I will try to talk with Mark to explain everything. Lea knew that I have no place to stay while I was there in Manila that is why she told me that I did not need to go. She still offered me their boarding house but I knew it will be very hard for her to see that the one she loves so much is in love with somebody else. That was why I was firm to my decision to go away... I do not want to see someone crying for being broken-hearted especially a girl like me.
At that moment, I started to cry because I did not know to stay. I have no relatives here in Manila and I have no money to rent even a boarding house. I did not know how to survive, I have nothing.

Only a big “FAITH” to our Almighty Father was all I had left. I knew that He will not let me down and He will do something for me because He knew that my intention was good. God knows that I have many dreams for my family. Then I was only one solution for my problem, and that is to the help of my clan mates. I made a “GM” short for group messages to all the members of my clan and told them that I was not joking and is looking for someone who is willing to let me stay at their place while I go look for a job. Some of them ignored my message but there were still people who were concerned for me like our Founder Bernard and my friend Jeff. They offered their place so that I have a shelter to live in and I really appreciated their efforts to help me. I felt more comfortable to stay with Jeff because he and I were closer than Bernard so I chose Jeff. That time I was relieved and I felt relief.

Jeff fetched me at Mark’s boarding house. I thanked Lea for her kindness to me and I left her inspirational advices. She thanked me and asked a favour. She asked me to forget about Mark and told me to stop communicating with him. I understood what she meant and told her that I will do my best to forget Mark. That time, Mark did not have a clue that I already left their boarding house. Then after his work HE WAS SURPRISED

Flash Back Part 10

I got worried for I did not know what was going on inside her head. Then her face showed some hint of anger. She broke her silence as she told me that Mariz is Marks’ older sister. At that moment I did not know what to react. She asked me if Mark and I were really related to each other I should know who Mariz is. I am not used to lying so I just started to cry. I explained to her my situation and told her everything. She started to cry too and like what I have told before that she is very kind so I knew that she would understand why I agreed to Mark’s plan.

She was very affected of what she discovered at that time. She told me that she loves Mark so much. She did everything for Mark, even gave her virginity to Mark. But as we all know Mark does not deserve that. He did not love Lea. He just used her to satisfy his lust and to pay almost his debts. That time I was shocked at what I discovered about the real Mark. Lea was crying so hard and I comforted her while I cried too. I told her that I have no feelings for Mark. I also explained to her that she needs to move on. She does not need to waste time on a “USER” like Mark. She did not deserve someone like Mark. I felt pity for Lea because even though Mark did not love her and did many bad things to her, she admitted to me that she still loves Mark.
Oh my goodness!! That time I felt that I wanted to curse all the guys in the world. I lost my trust to all the guys.

All I knew was that all guys are “LIARS” and “USERS”. I knew the pain that Lea was suffering at that time. I did my best to comfort her until she became calm. I felt sorry for her for what I did and thanked her for being nice to me. After a while Mark returned to our boarding house. Lea that time went to a place where she can be alone. I told Mark the whole story and I told him that Lea really loves him. I asked him why he does not loved Lea. Suddenly he got angry at me and denied all the things that Lea shared to me. He told me that he cannot love Lea because I am the one that he loves. He is willing to wait for me until my heart is ready to fall in love again. I did not know what to do, so I asked him one more time if he also loves Lea. And I got the same answer which is a big “NO”. I got angry and asked him why he let Lea fall so hard for him. I also asked him why he took Lea’s virginity if he did not feel even a little love for her. He kept his silence for a minute then he answered that Lea wanted that to happen. I lost my temper and at that instant I slapped him on his face.

I could not stop myself for I acted on instincts.Then we went to bed without talking to each other. Lea is still out of the house up to midnight. I became very worried for her and I kept thinking about her. While thinking about her I did not notice that I fell asleep. The next morning I heard some noise while my eyes were still closed. The noise seems to be made by breaking glass and it comes from inside our room. I was shocked because it was Lea. She was breaking some of her stuff and packing all her things in her bag. I noticed that Mark is lying on my bed too. I did not know what to react. Lea keeps on breaking her stuff while Mark got up on his bed and..
